I had my food to go. The duck ramen was good, but too overwhelming. Too much flavors/ingredients packed into one dish. Couldn't figure out what I was chewing on half the time. The shrimp bun was delicious, the chicken one was very dried/overcooked. The potatoes were awesome.

Have been meaning to go to this place for awhile now. Have heard so many great things about this restaurant so the wife and I checked it out today. This place definitely doesn’t disappoint. The food is very authentic and healthy. They offer lots of different drinks from, ginger lemonade to Boba tea, many different sodas and even have local beers & a great assortment of wines. The service is very good also. Highly recommend. We will definitely visit again.

Holy Cow Guys ! The wife and I seen this place on Google decided to go. Let me tell you this place is an absolute MUST! The atmosphere is a retro eclectic vibe. The Food is out of this world!! I had the Duck Ramen and my wife had the Stir Fry Noodles. We also got 2 steam buns w/ 5 spice pork belly. We topped it off with a Vietnamese coffee and pistachio milkshake. Every thing was top notch and made with passion and love and you can definitely taste it. They have a massive wine, sakè,and non alcoholic Cannabis options. A must for date night. We live an hour away and will definitely be returning soon. We absolutely enjoyed it. So glad we came a huge thank you to every one there! You guys are doing it right!!! Thank You!

Stopped in on the way to the airport and am pretty sure it will be a formal destination next time we’re town. The vibe is super laid back, menu is an incredibly flavorful mix of Asian/American fusion, and our bartender wasn’t too bad on the eyes either! They do fresh shaved ice cocktails and have a milkshake menu, and don’t be shy on the side dishes for sharing: the paella rice and cucumber salad were mouthwatering. There’s indoor/outdoor seating with open air at the bar itself. Will definitely be back and highly recommend.

Google
Mixed review here. Parking can be tricky to find if the place is busy. Small lot can fill up quickly. Order at the counter, pay and seat yourself at a table with a tabletop marker. Food is brought to your table. Condiments and napkins are at the counter. A carafe of water and glasses for the table were provided at the time of order. Seating is as mix of large booths and brightly colored metal tables and chairs. Our table was uneven and kept rocking up and down. The restaurant also doubles as a beer and wine store with a unique variety of options. Food came out quickly. The pork belly banh mi was good, the bun was fluffy and the pork belly was flavorful. The gaucho steak plate was a little disappointing. The steak was medium rare and decent on it's own but I was looking forward to the chimichurri sauce to enhance it even more. What I received was an overcooked sauce that didn't resemble any chimichurri I'd ever tasted. I couldn't even distinguish any herbs. I'm hesitant to give it a terrible rating because I know this is a fusion restaurant and can intentionally deviate from the traditional plates. Just know that it's quite the twist. The rice and beans was also not what I expected, the rice being a brown, mealy rice that had little flavor despite the scallions, black beans and cheese. Just a bowl of blah. My mother ordered shrimp pad thai. The noodles were crunchy in places and seemed undercooked. She sent it back and the second time they came out, complained that they were too chewy and the over-easy egg was completely overcooked. She ate the shrimp and left the rest at the table. Staff was accommodating in trying to rectify the issue but it just wasnt salvageable at that point.

Holy gem of culinary artistry!! The fusion of flavors and blends of everything are mindblowing. We had: Chicken & chorizo bowl special Steak Plate Pork Belly stir-fry Chicken pad thai Soccarats Lemonade bar: carrot apple for the win!! Oreo cheesecake milkshake Strawberry matcha Milkshake We each shared and tasted everyone's plates and even with all the variety and flavors, we couldn't decide who had the best one. Three of us even did a little chair wiggle and hum with each bite!

Google
Delicious food and great service. Walk up window, place your order, find a table, and they bring the food. There is a full bar, mimosa bar, and sauce bar. Plenty of wine choices. Food is delicious, loaded with flavor. Great laid back vibe.

Google
The Pad Thai was honestly kind of average albeit I know it’s supposed to be a fusion style. The burritos on the other hand are amazing. The restaurant itself was pretty nice with a good wine and sake selection.

Yelp
Delicious & unique! The inside is such a vibe and the food was amazing. As a vegetarian it can be hard to find yummy satisfying options but their fried tofu was the best I've had!

Yelp
Love this place. Always a good meal! I have tried so many different things and all have been fantastic. I started off loving the burrito then the Pad Thai, and now the Socarrat. I just make it into my own bowl and add a side of chicken. A little spice but It's just that good.

Yelp
First time eating here and will not be the last! So much flavor! The steamed bun with pork belly was amazing... the pickled carrots, cilantro and Asian bbq sauce gave such a pop of flavor that will keep me coming back. We split the burrito and it was plenty big enough for 2 of us! Our protein choice for the burrito was the chili marinated fried chicken and it was so good. We also tried the Paloma. It was pretty good but didn't have quite the "fizz" we like. Parking is tight!

Yelp
Stephen, Nikki makes real special Veggie selection for me. One time I was a regular every day...2017-2023. Service by Brother Oscar and his team makes a true difference in that town. Love the ambience

Yelp
This unassuming corner restaurant is definitely worth a try. The food is a fusion of Asian and Mexican! Who would have thought of that? Well they did! Meal choices are interesting and flavorful. You order at the counter and they deliver the food to your table. The restaurant is very casual and comfortable. They even have an outdoor bar space. I got the stir fry noodle with fried tofu. It was a blend of Cantonese egg noodles, tare, broccoli cabbage, carrots and Asian barbecue sauce and a sambal aioli. Yum! My husband got the steak burrito. He was going to order a side to go with it, but it's a good thing he didn't. It was huge and very filling! He loved it! They have a huge selection of milkshakes that I can't wait to try. Definitely we will be coming back to do that and bringing the grandkids!

Yelp
We did a back to back trip into Dashi, one for lunch and one for dinner, and on both trips the food was really good and more importantly it was consistent. The kitchen and wait staff were both on point and quick. It's a comfortable atmosphere, so you can relax and enjoy your time. Had it not been so hot outside we would have sat in their courtyard and enjoyed a milkshake from the outside stand. We had a great time reviewing Dashi and can easily recommend it to anyone looking for a food fusion experience.

Yelp
We got the chicken bao bun, chicken burrito, and chicken stirfry! All were delicious and the vibe is just good in here.

Yelp
Some of the best food around we really enjoyed the pork belly buns and the duck ramen

Yelp
This is soooo good! I'm not even here to eat--meeting a friend and thought I'd just grab a snack. I've had the cucumber salad with pork belly before, but it's been awhile. I had honestly forgotten how tasty it is! What a pleasant surprise. :-) It's the dressing--a little salty, full of fresh herbs, and the pork belly on top is perfectly seasoned, browned and crusty. Had a glass of red on the side and "perfect lunch!" LOVE this place!!

Yelp
Such a great spot in North Charleston. The casual but very well executed Asian/Latin fusion concept is something I have been missing since moving from Orlando and Dashi fills that void exceptionally! Service was fast, friendly and knowledgeable. We tried the chicken and pork belly bao, delicious! The Asian bbq sauce and spicy mayo work so well together with the crunchy fresh vegetables. The bao was well steamed, nice and fluffy and didn't stick to each other. The steak salad with the golden egg is a must try! The herby, ginger sauce it comes with is amazing. I also really enjoyed the slice of grilled onion along with it. The steak was a little more on the medium than rare side but still delicious and not chewy at all. Definitely recommend this spot for date night or to delight out of towners with a more local-focused gem that still has amazing food.

Yelp
If you are ever around the Hanahan area, make sure you stop by Dashi! I dig their retro vibes, especially their cool bar and they have an excellent selection of Asian x Latin cuisine. Lucky for me they are close to my office so I get to stop by often and you cannot go wrong with anything. I usually stick to a 2-Taco lunch Crispy Chicken and Pork Belly. I have tried the burrito and it's super tasty, but it can knock you out, maybe eat half and save the rest for later! Their apps are awesome to split with a large group of friends. Fun small plates: the Patatas Bravas, Steam Buns, Thai Chicken Wings, and Duck Quesadilla. You can also pick up bottles of wine, beer, and other fun beverages, along with some ice cream in the outside truck. Parking could be tough during lunch, so get there early or after the rush, make sure you also see their cool merch!

Yelp
Dashi is by far my number one burrito spot and has the best tofu in town. You can't go wrong here really. Parking, lots of lovely spots to sit, inside there are board games to play, outside has a giant connect four set for the kids... overall great environment. The Mexican Asian fusion is bang on - specials are always creative and unique. The melty cheese inside of the burrito shell is genius. We often get take out, but every time we eat there, the owner/manager stops by the table to check in and the staff are all super friendly and accommodating. Don't miss this spot!!!!

Yelp
There's two ways to do this kind of place: it either serves two types of food at the same time, or it mashes two types of food together into one. This was the latter... Thai food smashed with Mexican food... plus a bunch of fancy beers (many with THC and CBD) and a variety of small label wines, and music from the 80's and quirky decor. I appreciate the effort, I really do, but I really didn't like the results at all and neither did my kids. Our pad Thais came out after a fairly lengthy wait, but our burrito and taco came out like 10 minutes later, causing that awkward problem where the choice is to start eating when someone doesn't have their food, or let food get cold. The pad Thai was more like noodles drowning in sriracha sauce with crushed peanuts and some dried out, but lukewarm chicken on top than an actual pad Thai. The burrito was nothing like any burrito I have ever seen. My kid had like 4 bites and pleaded "full stomach". My taco had some sort of creamy sauce all over it and the taste of coconut. None of the flavors went together at all. It's notable that none of us took leftovers home or even considered it. I have never seen my youngest leave food behind at a restaurant before he either finishes or takes it, same for my oldest. It all felt very heavy. And it was not inexpensive either. J.Ja

Yelp
visited again for lunch with a different friend ( yes, I have two friends). he was quite impressed with the vibe and the menu. friend had the steak salad. I had the Pad Thai. he was very pleased with his meal. I have to say the shrimp Pad Thai was the BEST ever. Lots of veggies and well spiced. I would like to continue to explore their menu, but it is going to be hard to get past the Pad Thai. I don't give many 5 star reviews, but Dashi is an excellent value package.

Yelp
Dashi is a fantastic Asian fusion restaurant in North Charleston. Their food is flavorful and affordable. My favorites are their Pad Thai, burritos and banh mi dishes. The style of the restaurant is ordering at the front, taking a number and then they bring the food to your table. Service has been friendly and quick. There's plenty of indoor/outdoor seating and plenty of parking. They additionally have fun events such their paella parties, trivia and a great wine club. I recently had a 75 person event catered with shrimp, chicken, pork belly and tofu burritos paired with their cucumber salad and rice and beans side. Dashi was extremely communicative and professional throughout the whole process. I really appreciated their attention to detail and mindfulness of food allergies. I had numerous compliments from guests on how delicious the food was! I'd highly recommend eating at dashi and considering them for catering events as well!

Yelp
Wow! Love, love Dashi. We received a recommendation to dine here from a customer we were in town to support. This is one of North Charleston's hidden gem. Walked in to a very cool vibe. Roll up door by bar was open, music from 70s-80s was playing overhead. Cool decor that gives this place a very funky vibe. Reviewing the menu, I decided to try the GUACHO steak plate. Other members of my party tried the stirfry and the duck Ramen. Once you order your seat yourself and they bring the food over. When our food arrived, it smelled and looked delicious and it definitely did not disappoint. I thoroughly enjoyed my steak which was served with the fried rice and beans. The steak was perfectly cooked and very well seasoned with chimichurri and served over ranchero seasoned grilled onions. My coworkers thoroughly enjoyed their entrées and were equally pleased as I was in their selections. I can't more highly recommend this place and I will be back the next time I am in Charleston.

Yelp
Ordered Dashi on Uber eats last night and they did not disappoint! I ordered a Shrimp taco, chicken taco, pork belly bao bun, rice side and veggie side. This was a ton of good! 1 taco could make a good meal. The chicken taco was loaded with chicken and spices-same with the shrimp. The bao bun was absolutely delicious. The rice and the veggies made for a separate meal. The rice was flavorful and had chorizo in it while the veggies were squash/zucchini and all were cooked to perfection: I could order dashi every night and be satisfied. My order even arrived early. If you haven't tried their food-don't miss out!
google avatar

Yelp
Great food and great service as always. One of my favorites in town. I had the pork belly taco and home made ginger lemonade. Both were excellent!!!
google avatar

Jessica C.

Yelp
The duck ramen was so good and full of flavor. The pickled jalapeño caught me off guard a little, but it was a nice kick. Shrimp tacos were amazing. The Thai wings were also amazing. There's a lot going on on top of the wings but the garnishes add flavor. The service is great, everyone is nice and helpful. They also have a good selection of beer, seltzer, etc. to buy off the shelf. They have music bingo on Tuesdays at 7!

Yelp
Hello friendly Yelpers, This is one review I'm excited to share. I could start just about anywhere and to be honest we would end up with the same result. Splendid, Phenomenal exceptionally delicious. My visit to Dashi was solely inspired on previous reviews and wild stories of how great the food was. I will concur that the food does meet all ones requirements however there where a few items that could be better like the Chicken Burrito that is pack with an abundance of flavor but the chicken fails to meet the bar. Then on the flip side when you dive into the Thai Chili Wing you taste all the flavors of Latin Asian culture on another level. It's truly a place to visit when passing through the Charleston District. Nestled next to a local gas station few be the local community.

Yelp
4.5 stars, minus .5 for excessive salt in the Duck Ramen. The ambiance is awesome and counter service was a breeze. The pork belly in my taco was melt in your mouth perfection. My 2 tacos for $11 was the perfect size lunch. The prices are quite cheap considering the quantity and quality.

Yelp
I cannot say enough about this place!! I absolutely love every thing I've tried here. The service, food and variety for all palates is commendable. My go to dish is the beef salad with the Golden Egg. They definitely get busy, but they are worth the wait!!
google avatar

Diane M.

Yelp
Order at the counter dining. Great wine selection. Step back into the 1970's decor. Eclectic menu. Pad Tai was tasty. Vegetarian choices. I went with a group of friends and I'd definitely eat there again.
google avatar

Yelp
I absolutely love getting food from the Dashi food truck. The restaurant is a fun place as well. Our 1st night we went there was kinda busy, so we hopped to the little bar on the side. We walked in at the end of Bingo, but something to try, hopefully next time. There are also board games to play. Family friendly for sure. At the bar, our 1st bar tender seemed like he had been there all day... but luckily, shortly after, we were upgraded to a fresh new bartender, and she was great! Very friendly and engaging in conversation, making our visit that much better. The food was good per usual. Always a good choice when you don't want a typical meal
google avatar

Debra K.

Yelp
This place has been my go to so many times for lunch during the work week. Everything has always been so good and when family comes into town, this is a great casual wonderful diamond experience.
google avatar

Erik K.

Yelp
Food was great! I wouldn't have expected to find an Asian & Mexican food crossover like this, but it was done so well! It's a very casual dining setting. You get up to order and pay at the counter, but then the food is brought out to you. The service staff were all friendly and provided a nice lunch experience for our group. I would definitely recommend the burrito if you stop by this place to check it out!
google avatar

Kris G.

Yelp
A little pricey but good quality food. Even their GF options were proclaimed to have a bit of cross-contamination but we were skillfully led in the right direction to the pad Thai with shrimp. It was different than what the traditional Thai flare is but I loved the wide noodles as they're my favorite! So the fried egg on top and the radishes were easily accepted . Good flavor. Also... the patatas bravas with steak were a solid option. Nice mix of flavors. Not a lot of seating nor parking but friendly staff and pretty quick service!
google avatar

Mark L.

Yelp
Cannot say enough about Dashi. The owners are welcoming and committed to customer excellence. The food is off the charts good. Whether you get ramen, steamed buns or the breakfast burrito for brunch, you are never disappointed. Beer and wine YES! Ice cream YES! Special events YES! Full service bar YES! Outdoor seating YES! Awesome staff YES! Love!!!!
google avatar

Micah M.

Yelp
This place screams welcoming tones and family-oriented service. The decor is colorful, giving off "retro ice cream stand" vibes to my perspective. The food came out pretty quickly and was presented BEAUTIFULLY! The broth in the ramen I ordered was rich with flavor and had great quality ingredients packed within. I'd say the price is a little on the above average side, but it's worth it for the flavor and heart that's put into these delicious eats!
google avatar

Seth B.

Yelp
Upon entering Dashi, you step into a multicultural fusion of culture. There is eccentric decor. The staff were friendly, accomodating, and caring. A unique service that is offered is a Dashi Wine Subscription. The cost of the subscription is $30. There were dance lessons occuring as a wine tasting was occuring. The staff is knowledgeable about gluten intolerance and celiac. The food had spicy flavory punch. There were a few gluten free options. The Patatas Bravas were a mouth watering delite. The food was amazing!
google avatar

Richard T.

Yelp
Dashi is our favorite restaurant in the Charleston area. It is the one restaurant that I have "withdrawal " from if I haven't had a "fix" . There is nothing on the menu that's not good and several items that are craveable. My favorites are the pasta dishes and the soccarat. The service is always welcoming and efficient. The ambiance is as unique as the food offerings and neither are intimidating. Parking can be a challenge upon occasion but that's a function of how popular it is. Food and drink are great values while still being fresh and please a variety of tastes and appetites. I'd give it six stars if I could.

tim m.

Yelp
This place has probably the greatest burrito in town, at least tied for a top spot. Wish the parking lot was a little bigger but it comes with the location.
google avatar

Alex B.

Yelp
Overall a great experience! Excellent customer service. I came here with a friend for music bingo night for the first time. The quantity is really good for the price. Liked the shrimp wrap, and it was heavy and fulfilling. I will definitely be back.
google avatar

Kat T.

Yelp
I've always heard such great things about Dashi and I'm so glad I finally go to try it! I love the vibe Inside. It's very chill dining. You order your food at the register (you can keep a tab open) and then sit and staff brings out your food to you. The food was great and the drinks are just as good! I had the tofu steamed bun. And the Asian bbq sauce was AMAZING! Ir was so good. We also had the Patatas Bravas and oh my gosh was it delicious!! I could eat a whole thing by myself. My main meal was the shrimp pad Thai. The sauce is different than a traditional pad Thai but it worked so well for this dish! Everything was delicious!! It would def come back and try more dishes!

Harris D.

Yelp
We came in for lunch and then there happened to be trivia starting and it ended up being a really fun way to start the day! Cool vibes and great food
google avatar

Amy D.

Yelp
Weekend brunch visit. Always on point! Duck hash and stir fry with pork belly. Both absolute perfection! Could eat this every day and never tire of it.
google avatar

Emily G.

Yelp
Dashi is dangerously good. My go to is the chicken tacos but also love the burrito, Thursday they are half off which is a steal! The bao buns with pork belly are 10/10. My husband loves the pad Thai and often picks Dashi for date night. Counter service is fast and delivered to your table with attentive staff. The 5 spice mule with gin is a great cocktail choice and the outdoor patio is lovely during the evening. I go back to Dashi again and again and have not been disappointed.
google avatar

Camryn S.

Yelp
Came in malnourished after a long night out, and I left fully satiated with good food and good vibes. My first time here and the staff and quality of food did not disappoint. I sat at the bar and enjoyed a blood orange margarita made by kind-spirited McKenna and it was delicious. As it was my first time here I tried a popular dish, the Duck Quesadilla with a fried egg (that made it a brunch item for me) (never experienced such an array of flavors). I can't wait to come back to try all the other tempting meals that caught my eye.
google avatar

Amy H.

Yelp
Pork belly bun had good flavor but was a little on the fatty side. We were told it was atypical so interested to try the buns on a different night. The stirfry was good though, topped with fried chicken and delicious savory sauce. Portion was large, service was fast. All around good experience.
google avatar

Andrew G.

Yelp
This place is ridiculously good! Super laid back and usually busy but still quick service and friendly staff. The food is incredible. Never had anything that wasn't a big hit but the duck ramen and pad Thai are both the best I've had in those categories. The pork belly is so great too. So many different flavors everywhere on the menu, no such thing as a boring choice. Little pricey but once you eat it you'll know why!
google avatar

Madison C.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious! I ordered the Stir Fly Noodles with Chicken, and it was incredible! One of the best stir fly meals I've ever had. The chicken was juicy and crispy, the seasoning was perfect, and the sauce was delicious. I got the Prickly Pear Margarita to wash it down, and that was equally as great! The establishment itself is a fun vibe! They have a walk up counter where you order, and then they bring it to your table. They also have bottles of wine and beer to purchase. Plenty of seating despite the small parking lot! I cannot wait to return!
google avatar

Kahlill M.

Yelp
I have been thinking of going to Dashi for sometime now. Well today was the day, and Dashi did not disappoint. I came in ordered takeout. To my surprise, everyone in the place was playing Bingo which was cool to see. But the food I ordered was simply outstanding! Me and my wife ordered the Gaucho Steak Plate, Thai Wings, Shrimp Taco, Steam Buns with Chicken and Thai Cucumber Salad. Steak was juicy and tender also cook to perfection. Shrimp taco was so tasty, and the Steam Buns were excellent, textures of the bun, chicken, cucumber and sauce was exquisite. I definitely recommend this place. Great experience
google avatar

Lisa P.

Yelp
Fun, casual ambiance and good food! We came with a large group (including kids) for lunch and there is a nice patio with jumbo Connect 4, etc... They also have board games to borrow and play while you are there. Full bar plus lots of fun and unique N/A options (kombuchas and seltzers, etc...). Unique but good food where you can find something for everyone. I had the brunch tacos and they were delicious, while my 3 year old had Asian noodles with chicken.
google avatar

Rosalyn L.

Yelp
My bf asked for extra spicy pad, Thai... And got it! "Best pad Thai I've had." I had steak, which was cooked perfectly and flavorful. The $10 sangria came with the entire bottle of sangria! Good music. Laid back atmosphere. Perfect Saturday date night.
google avatar

Alexis S.

Yelp
The chicken for the stir fry was cooked well and crispy, but the sauce was a bit too much. After the 3rd bite, I couldn't take another without trying to get as much sauce off the noodles. I'm hoping next time I can ask for less sauce, but other than that the dish was good. My husband got the burrito with chicken and pork belly. He enjoyed it a lot and was stuffed afterwards! The workers are so kind and helpful when answering our questions. Overall we will be back!
google avatar

Kara W.

Yelp
I had high expectations because I'd heard such good reviews. I found the restaurant overwhelming. The menu was hard to read and scattered all over on different walls, doors. It was very crowded and loud. The cashier wanted us to order quickly. The food had good flavor, but also STRONG flavor. The pork belly fried rice was spicy and an explosion of flavor. It was all a little too much for me. There were clothing racks, and stuff everywhere. Which is maybe the vibe they were going for. So glad they had outdoor seating so we could get out away from the noise (even though the speakers were pretty loud outside too) and enjoy the sunshine. The waitress staff was kind to check on us multiple times.
google avatar

Amanda M.

Yelp
Dashi is such a cute and delicious place, I don't know why I haven't written a review until now. I usually order online but lately I've been enjoying their food at the restaurant. My go to meal is the pad Thai with double pork belly. I like that you can choose two protein options but their pork belly is so delicious. I also really enjoy their cocktails. My favorite so far has been their watermelon margarita that they put sugar on the rim for! Every time I go, I have been seated quickly. The service is always fast and friendly. I love the tastes that they bring to the table with their Asian fusion meals. One day I'll try something new but for now, it's all about that pad Thai!

Yelp
This restaurant was so packed it was crazy but worth the wait even tho the wait wasn't long. Service was great! Those Patatas Bravas are a must! Definitely cooked and seasoned to perfection. The burritos are big and flavorful. The stir fried noddles with the pork belly is a must! The portion was great but full of flavors and greatness. Be sure what time you want to arrive since parking is limited to the amount of people was there for lunch. Definitely would recommend this restaurant.
