Dat Donut

Today I went to go to check out the new location on the North Side . Since I’m from the south side I’ve always went to the location on Cottage Grove . I felt very excited to come in and support a black owned business but I never felt more dismissed by staff and which maybe the manager in charge . I’ve tried to make small talk and comment about how they made it to the north side and it seemed off putting to maybe the manager and I’ve heard him say “Go ahead and take care of this one “ to which he insisted on helping a white customer and take care of their needs as priority . I continue to purchase the donut anyways but I had no desire to eat it after. Honestly was excited for the experience since Ive been eating coming to cottage location for 10 plus years but I’m not supporting the business when theirs a plethora of donut shops out here that can easily be appreciate their guest no matter how they look.

Very welcoming when walking in, donuts made fresh and super thick n fluffy. Straight to the point on what they offer. So happy I have a great donut and coffee spot now instead of dunkin. 5/5 original glazed is perfect, they even have a jumbo one thats 3x the size if you feeling naughty

The glazed donut was delicious and reasonably priced! There were so many other unique flavors that I can’t wait to try next. Love that it’s conveniently next to the brown line as well.

Friendly staff. Convenient location in lakeview under the wellington station. I missed out on the bestsellers when I came in, but the other donuts were still good. I would buy again.

Great glazed donut and coffee. Apple fritter was also solid with big chunks of Apple. Cute on the inside with a few small standing tables but primarily functioning as a carry out spot!

The donuts are amazing. The staff is beyond friendly and the nitro cold brew is off the charts. Donuts are made fresh on site each day. The fact that’s it’s next door to the Wellington stop makes it even more convenient. Check this place out!

Delicious donuts. I got a Boston creme and my husband got a regular glazed donut. Both were soft but firm. We spent less than $5 for two reasonably sized donuts with tax and tip. Check them out!

Delicious donuts and charming service. The shop is bright and pink and just the right energy to start my day. My favs so far are the strawberry and caramel, and I've gotta come back for a huge glazed ring sometime!! My new go-to donut spot. 💖

Just opened a week ago this is a great addition to the neighborhood Saves you a trip to Cottage Grove Donuts, Apple Fritters and Coffee, espresso alongside Cold brew and Nitro iced coffee Staff here is just as sweet and nice as the folks in Cottage Grove you won't regret getting donuts here

So happy DAT Donut opened up their second location in my neighborhood! The donuts are amazing -- soft, fresh, and perfectly glazed. You can really taste that they're made with care. I tried the giant glazed donut (had to, of course ) and it was absolutely delicious -- light, fluffy. The staff were super friendly too, and the whole place has a really welcoming vibe. If you haven't checked them out yet, you're missing out. This is my new go-to donut spot!

Extremely kind staff, delicious food, and great prices. We got 2 boston cream donuts and 2 regular glazed donuts, and the total was $9! That price is hard to beat in this neighborhood. Also, you can see the bakers making the donuts in the front window, which is so fun and lets you know the food is fresh. Highly recommend!

Second trip and the donut was actually DAT much better. Maybe they were fresher or the baker is getting in his groove. Either way love the direction this is going

Their Donut is huge, 2-3 people can share the donut. The donut taste so good, its soft, not too sweet. Perfect in every bite.

I ordered online for pickup the next morning. I was greeted bright and early with fantastic customer service and delicious donuts. They were a hit.

My cinnamon roll is still literal dough . I'm so disappointed as I was very excited to support and now $6 in the trash smh .

Fantastic, fresh doughnuts. Forget Do Rite or Stan's this is the place you need to go.

I stopped by Dat Donuts today on my walk home today. They have fantastic donuts, and the owners are really nice. I'm glad we have a donut shop in the neighborhood.
