We had my baby shower here and I couldn't have been happier with the overall event! My guests were raving about the food (we did a family style brunch, the ricotta toast and french toast were the favorites!) and the service was excellent. We also had a great experience with the event coordinator and GM Trevor leading up to the event! Would highly recommend Davanti for your next private event!

Davanti is definitely on my revisit list! Everything was great! From the cute and cozy decor, to warm and fulfilling dishes. The staff were very attentive and informative. Of course I tried their sprouts and they were delicious. For the first time ever I had eggplant and enjoyed it. The pizza was the show stealer however. Although it was spicy, it was one of the best pizzas I’ve had! I love how it’s thin and full at the same time. Definitely one of kind! Honestly, I’ve had better Bellinis but they have plenty of drinks that sound delicious so I’m looking forward to trying them!

First time eating here and will definitely be coming back. Overall selection was good, the waiter was very knowledgeable of the menu and offered suggestions based on what we said we liked. All suggestions were very good and the dishes were delicious. There was an issue with my wife's salad however it was rectified quickly and kindly. Overall 5 star experience in all aspects and we will definitely Come back.

My husband and I went here for a nice pairing of wine and dinner. We were fortunate enough the wines were from Spain and did this whole experience not disappoint! From beginning to end the food and the wine pairings were great. We love having Chris there to tell us more about the wines and the tones in the wines as well. It was pretty neat since he recently traveled to Spain so he gave us some background as well with each wine. Enjoyed other guests company and meeting them as well. We ended up purchasing a few bottles to bring home to enjoy for later 👍. I can’t wait to be back in the future for more of these events!

Lovely gem! I’m gluten free and was able to have a delicious appetizer, meal, and dessert! Cynthia was great! We loved both of her recommendations. Ate outside in a very quiet and quaint area!

This restaurant is a gem. We love that it's tucked right in a neighborhood. It's comfortable and really welcoming. The food is fresh and delicious. We couldn't stop talking about it in between forkfuls. We've been on the patio and in the dining room--where ever you sit you'll just be glad you made it to Davanti. It's obvious that everyone involved in the restaurant enjoys being there. On two occasions we were lucky enough to have Sofia take care of our guests and us. She was so helpful--drinks, apps, all her suggestions were great and served on time, beautifully. This lovely restaurant in the day or in the evening--just glows...you'll feel like you are on vacation. And you'll want to go again... EA

Google
5 stars for HECTOR in Western Springs!!! Hands down this was the absolute best dining experience I’ve ever had! While the food was delicious and the overall ambiance and decor of the restaurant was cozy, it was our server that made this dining experience over the top, great! HECTOR, you are a gem, a diamond! You have an absolutely charming personality and made my mother in law’s birthday dinner an experience to remember! From your spot on suggestions, to your lovely rendition of “Happy Birthday”, to the funny banter, our whole family left talking about how wonderful you were! We will be back and we will be sure to come when you are serving! Thank you Hector!!!

Yelp
Davanti Enoteca is one of my family's favorite restaurants! We have had events and many date nights here and always loved the food, ambiance and great service! Would recommend it to anyone and have always enjoyed our meals here! :)

Yelp
Yesterday's early 'al fresco' food intake was perfect! My sweet wife and I first shared a charcuterie-like start with two yummy salumi (try the Coppa) and two cheeses that were new to us, one was like a blue cheese, the other soft and creamy. Look on the back of the menu, where you can make choices from about four meats and four cheeses. The crackers had slight XVOO drizzle and looked like toasted ravioli, but a more delicate texture...delicious! We could have stopped there and been utterly satisfied! But, no... Next, FOCACCI DI RECCO ligurian flatbread + soft cow's cheese + honeycomb was warm and utterly delicious, though more honey would have been nice. And I am certain that Sophia, our wonderfully attentive server would have provided, but I didn't think to ask. We had this with Calamari Fritti and tiny cherry peppers, which gave it a teensy zip. Took some calmari and ligurian flatbread with cow cheese home. I suspected a midnight raid, but I was too lazy to get out of bed! The mixture of sun/shade, tasty food, my wife's smile, her perfect Negroni and my cold beer, Peroni, and Sophia's timely service, all made for a true Saturday treat...Dang, I should have shot some photos, but I was too 'in the moment' to focus on Yelp reviews. Just go there, to see what I mean. I doubt you'd be disappointed. We certainly were not disappointed. A five star experience we truly enjoyed!!!

Yelp
Everything was great. You were busy and our appetizer was superb. Mango was delicious Very friendly atmosphere. Very expensive. Calamari was bland. Vodka Pasta sauce delicious. and I appreciated that I had control over my spicy bread crumbs.

Yelp
We have always been a fan. Prior to the moving to the suburbs, we were frequent visitors of the River North and University Village locations until they closed. Now the Western Springs location is our main go-to and there are several items that we repeatedly order: 1) Davanti Burger with the bacon jam and cheese curd 2) Focaccia di recco with the soft cow's cheese and honeycomb 3) Della terra pizza with braised leeks, truffle oil, and a variety of mushrooms 4) Truffle egg toast with the cremini mushrooms and truffle oil Without going into detail, we have also tried most the pasta dishes. Safe to say, there is not a single complaint.

Yelp
It's a great plus in our neighborhood to have a local place that does a very good burger and fries. The Davanti Burger is a thick patty charred patty on a toasted brioche bun with cheese curds, bacon jam, roasted tomatoes, arugula and roasted garlic aioli. It's excellent and the fries are very good too.

Yelp
Right on a busy intersection. The servers are always great. The food is really good. They have a lot of outdoor seating in the warm weather. Place is clean. It's a little on the dark side (some may call that romantic), but not a negative for me. It seems a little small but they have easily sat my group of ten more than once. My wife just craves this place from time to time.

Yelp
Good food, good service, nice wine selection. We ordered a lot of the small plates and really enjoyed everything. Meatballs, Brussel sprouts and whipped ricotta and honey were my favs!

Marilyn M.

Yelp
Way overpriced - $25 glasses of wine in Lincolnwood? Asked for chicken on my salad and they said they only had chicken thigh available And the kale Caesar salad I had was so disappointing that I literally threw the carryout box in the garbage on the way to my cat Certainly not the same as the Taylor Street location back in the day

Bocchi H.

Yelp
We went Sunday evening and seated right a way. Food was served soon enough that we didn't have to wonder where the chef went.. I customized my meal because of food allergies. My Linguine with Vongole Without dairy, garlic and chili, how can it be good?!?! The chef did amazing job. the pasta was great and the sauce was savory. The server put olive oil on the bread instead of butter because of my allergy. Which was very thoughtful. Definitely will come back.

Yelp
Covid threatened to ruin our 2023 Christmas Davanti saved it! Appetizers: meatballs and broccolini, Picky granddaughter loved the meatballs! Main courses: varied and all excellent Dessert: too full! Thank you for last minute reservation. This restaurant never disappoints.

Yelp
I love this new North Shore Italian restaurant. THERE IS NO NEED to go downtown anymore. Everything on the menu was fantastic, the service was extraordinary. Everything was at the perfect temperature. Save room for dessert

Yelp
We recently dined (when it was only 7 days since it opened) at this new addition to downtown Naperville's fleet of restaurants and I was blown away by the experience! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm hospitality and a beautiful ambiance that set the tone for the meal. The menu was thoughtfully curated, with a great mix of classic and innovative dishes that were all executed to perfection. I particularly loved the Rocotta Gnocchi, which was cooked to perfection and packed with flavor. The wine list was also impressive, with a wide range of options that complemented the food beautifully. Normally, I'm not usually impressed easily with the cocktails, but the Old Fashioned (called Little Mafia) was made to my satisfaction! The service was exceptional, with our server, Bronko being attentive without being overbearing. We were also pleasantly surprised to receive a complimentary Limoncello liquer dessert on the house, which was a lovely touch! Overall, I highly recommend Davanti Enoteca in Downtown Naperville for anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience! The food, service, and ambiance all exceeded my expectations and made for a memorable evening.

Rocky L.

Yelp
Chef Jaysen treated us like family, and on a holiday we felt like we were the only ones in the house. My allergies were treated seriously, by a kind and caring chef. The halibut was out of this world--flaky and seasoned perfectly. Grilled Brussels sprouts to die for! Steamed broccolini to make your mouth water. Prime rib and spiral ham AMAZING. Everything was perfectly prepared, and beautifully served. The gracious staff outshone everything. A must go, and a must return.

Yelp
We had a family get together. OMG! This is the place to go to. We had Riley as our server and she was more than a server. She worked with everyone to include 4 children. It is important for a child to understand what they are ordering and Riley was the best! We will be back!

Yelp
I had dinner here last Saturday and was blown away by the burger! And Burrata, and dessert! Our waiter, Hector, was so helpful and entertaining when he described the menu items!! This visit to your restaurant made my month!

Yelp
This was a perfect place for a family dinner! We celebrated my mom's birthday and with top notch service from Hector, he made the dinner perfect...including his singing!! Food was delicious, we weren't rushed and took our time. We will be coming back for sure!

Yelp
Wonderful post- Valentine's Day dinner. Great food and service. The ribeye steak was delicious and always love the whipped ricotta

Yelp
Used to love their place on Taylor Street. This place was horrible. The Cacio e Pepe - one of my favorites and a classic Italian dish - was water, bland and barely warm when it arrived at our table. The Orecchiette with sausage and rapini - another classic - was unrecognizable as an Italian dish. It arrived with lettuce on top. Yep. Lettuce. When we pushed back and pointed out that it was supposed to have rapini, we were told it was "underneath." Yes, a microscopic amount of rapini - maybe 1/4 of a stalk - was there along with a tiny amount of pasta and a few crumbles of sausage. $19 for pasta with lettuce. Take your hard earned money and go anywhere else.

Yelp
We were there yesterday and we liked it. The bartender was nice. The food was really, really good. You must have a chef...not a cook. Wonderful presentation and amazing appetizers. That MUSHROOM Hen thing was off the charts!!!!

Yelp
We had the linguini and clam sauce. The pasta was cooked perfectly and the sauce had a unique pleasant lemon note. There was an adequate selection of good wine available by the glass or bottle. The service by Dante was attentive and prompt. The ambiance was relaxing with unobtrusive background music.

Wendy L.

Yelp
I just want to give a shout out to the staff and chef, specifically when hosting an event. We just had the most wonderful wedding shower--a bites and bubbly theme--that was amazing. The food was great, the staff and service even better. Thank you, Davanti. I've always been a loyal customer, but you truly made a special day even more memorable.

tom r.

Yelp
We had a great visit at Davanti recently with great service from Dante. His food and drink recommendations were excellent, and he checked back with us regularly. We enjoyed the rigatoni vodka (excellent!) and had a DOC pizza for starters that was also very good. Highly recommend Davanti to all.

Yelp
Long time establishment in Western Springs that earned its kudos since several establishments failed for various reasons

Yelp
Great steak , and octopus, amazing burger. Pasta is not great here . Pretty bland . For non pasta options the food is great
google avatar

Yelp
An assuming little place somewhat off the beaten path, Davanti is a great little spot for high quality Italian food. On this trip I tried the Cacio e Pepe, a simple spaghetti dish with a great texture, perfectly cooked, and lightly seasoned to fully enjoy the basics of the dish. It was an A+ concoction and well worth a try! Next up was the veal meatballs, which were solid enough, but not a standout by any means. The flavors seemed a bit on the underwhelming side, like they should have hit you in the mouth a little more but couldn't quite find the strength in their combination. Needless to say, this is a great little spot for Italian food, and one that won't break the bank!

Yelp
I had the seafood linguine and it was fantastic! The service was one of the best I have ever had and highly recommended restaurant. We will be going back soon.

Yelp
Stopped by for brunch. Food was fresh and the expresso martini was delicious. What really made this place stand out for me was the OUTSTANDING service, thank you for a great experience. Will definitely come back for dinner.

Susan D.

Yelp
I was super impressed with the squash farro salad. It had everything I wanted, goat cheese, citrus, chewy farro and a bit of crunch The service is great. The ambience is just what I'm looking for. I will definitely come back.

Yelp
The locals recommended this place. This was my first time here for lunch with my family of four adults. We arrived at 12:15 pm, the time of our Wednesday lunch reservation. We were seated at a nice table overlooking the pizza oven. The place was not crowded. I started with my Dean Martin Sat Here cocktail for $14 followed by my Old Fashion. I enjoyed their highly recommended medium rare Davanti Burger with bacon jam, roasted tomatoes, cheese curd, arugula, roasted garlic aioli and parmesan fries for $19. Their parmesan fries were especially tasty. After our lunches we ordered a Davanti Burger to take home. Fernando from Mexico City served our table professionally. My total bill was $215 less gratuities. We agreed we will continue to return here for lunch or dinner.

Yelp
The food was very tasty ,good service and the interior of the restaurant was very beautiful.

Yelp
Food was great, service was pretty good, up until the server was presenting the polenta with ragu and spilled it all over my white pants and the server gave a half-ass apology and blamed the wooden tables as they had slits in between that the ragu seeped through. Literally, he goes, "oh sorry its the table," as if the table was the one who decided that pouring ragu sauce on a flat cutting board and table with slits was a good idea for someone wearing white pants. Didn't even try to amend it or give me a towel to clean up with and just kept going about his shift. I respect it though. Our other and primary server was pretty dope though. He went out of his way to cut corkscrews to wedge our table in place as it was tipping over terribly due to imbalance, and therefore attempting to prevent a disaster and catastrophe from happening, like having the table tip over and spilling ragu sauce all over your patron's white pants. Unfortunately, he did not relay his efforts to his co-worker and pretty much undid all that hardwork. +1 star for corkscrews sever guy +1 star for good food -3 stars coz I didn't ask for new orange pants

Yelp
Good food and service; nice ambience. The Focaccia di Recco was very good as were the meatballs.

Yelp
This review is written on many experiences over the past 10 years. Davanti... how we used to love you. Food was good, wine was good, customer service was amazing. Then covid happened and you changed. Your wine list changed. Your menu changed. Those happen and periodic adjustments should be expected. However, your staff... went from amazing, to horrible. Example 1: Seated at a table in the bar. Water takes minutes to arrive, Waiter takes forever to arrive and introduce himself. Ordering process for drinks and then food is slow. Serving process is even slower. Not checked on after food served. Both water and wine glasses are empty for a long time before we get the hostesses attention. She alerts our server, who, Rather than offering us refills and a dessert menu, brings us the check. Odd, but maybe the kid is overworked and under trained. Let's chalk it up to that. Example 2: We grab two seats at the bar on a Saturday afternoon to have a glass of wine and appetizer, with the idea of procrastinating a trip to Menards. We are served water by the bar assistant, while the bartender casually talks to another couple. And talks and talks and talks, not acknowledging us. No menus provided, no orders taken. 10 minutes pass. We leave. Bartender says "thank you for coming" on the way out. Odd, bizarre and rude. Let's follow baseball rules... 3 strikes and you're out... or you hit a home run. Example 3: We go to Davanti on a Sunday evening, restaurant is hardly busy. We are greeted by hostess, request a table outside which we are seated at. We are promptly brought water, and after a several minutes delay, server shows up, brings us menus. Comes back a few minutes later, takes our drinks order. Wine arrives, we order an appetizer, and main entree, noting to him to bring appetizer first. All good shows up at once. One item, a pizza is traditionally served with a seasoning side of oregano, hot peppers and salt. That does not arrive. Ok, so we eat without the seasonings. Server is not again at our table until long after we have finished our combination appetizer and main course. Drink glasses are long empty. He asks if we want dessert. We ask for the dessert menu, which is provided. 10 minutes pass. 20 minutes pass. No server. I get up, go inside, find the water kid playing on his phone, ask him where our waiter is, he says he doesn't know and to try the bar (and goes back to his phone). Waiter is in the bar, I ask him where he has been, we haven't seen him in 20 minutes. His manager interjects; she states that the waiter has been busy with a large party. (Ok, so translation is that we are a far less important customer, per manager). My wife and I have somewhere to be and are going to be late at this point. I demand the check, which I receive while manager offers dessert to go. Declined, we have no time or place to eat it as we have a place to be. Tip reflected service accordingly ($0). Talking with other neighborhood friends, our post covid experience is not unique to us. Sorry Davanti, three strikes, you are out. We will not be back.

Chris H.

Yelp
Hands down the better restaurant over their own franchise in Naperville. Service was adequate, food not quite as good but they're trying. Will go back but give them time.

Yelp
Was looking for a spot to have dinner when Davanti Enoteca popped up and I'm glad we went with it. Food was delicious and service was great. Starter: Prosciutto Veal Meatballs - pecorino, san marzano tomatoes, ciabatta Focaccia di Recco - ligurian flatbread, soft cows cheese, honeycomb Main: Polenta & Ragu - mascarpone polenta & Italian sausage ragu Salmone - wilted ruby chard, burnt cipollini, prosecco and grain mustard vinaigrette Davanti Burger - bacon jam, roasted tomatoes, cheese curd, arugula, roasted garlic aioli, parmesan fries Sides: Crispy Brussel Sprouts - prosciutto, chilis, pecorino Roasted Beets - walnut butter, crème fraiche, candied walnuts Dessert: Tiramisu I will definitely be back to try other menu items and to definitely get that focaccia again!

Wendy D.

Yelp
I went here for my birthday dinner with friends. I've been to the Western Springs location years ago and was excited to have the octopus dish at this location. The decor was lovely as was the ambience, but I felt that our waiter had an attitude the whole time so that was off-putting. The cocktails we ordered were flavorful. The octopus dish I had seemed overcooked and I didn't enjoy the romesco sauce it was in. The arugula salad was the best thing, we all decided.
google avatar

Jaimee L.

Yelp
We went for Valentine's weekend. We made reservations for Saturday night at 7:30. The tables were nicely spaced apart---didn't feel crowded. They give you 1.5 hours to dine. There's also a heated tent. Staff was very prompt with their service. Ricotta Vasi - whipped ricotta, toast, honeycomb. Perfect combination and generous serving Cacio E Pepe - salty, peppery, cheesy goodness. I would've liked the noodles a little more al dente, personally Paccheri E Salsiccia - giant perfectly al dente rigatoni with huge chunks of sausage and roasted tomato and onions Davanti Burger - highly recommend; perfectly crispy parmesan fries, thick burger cooked to your liking, melted cheese curd, bacon jam, roasted garlic aioli, arugula--I see why it's their namesake menu item Brown Butter Blondie - topped with salted caramel gelato and Marcona almonds - nuff said Would definitely come here again. Perfect date night ambiance

Yelp
I did not care for the food at all. I don't know what kind of Italian food they were serving. But it was not my kind of Italian food. What can they do to improve? Probably close

Susan N.

Yelp
Scott the bartender was soooo friendly and really knowledgeable about the wine list. He was attentive, positive and just really cool. He elevated our experience. Scott is such an asset to the company. What a great night out for drinks! Thank you, Davanti!!!
google avatar

Michael S.

Yelp
The great thing about Divanti was the focaccia with cheese and honey, it was absolutely delicious. Other than that, dinner service was disappointing and at times rude. Wrong dishes were being delivered all over the restaurant, and the food was just alright and not at all worth the price or the effort. Order that yummy focaccia to go, but otherwise I'd say don't bother with this place.
google avatar

Robby K.

Yelp
Our last visit was an expensive lunch. Over $75 for 2 people, only 1 cocktail, and no leftovers. We stuck with our favorites from the menu. The honey and Ricotta were presented with a smaller honeycomb than we remember, but remains delicious, and the portion turned out to be perfect. The Ragu and polenta was much thinner and runny than we've had previously. Check out the picture where it was running off the board. It was almost comical that it was prepared tableside.. spillong onto the table. The server admitted he was new and felt really bad. The Cacio e pepe was extra rich and cheesy, and may inspire heartburn. unfortunatly The bloody Mary bar i was a huge fan of is suspended during Covid. This last experience was hit and miss.

Yelp
Davanti has always been one of my favorite places to go for Italian food around this West Suburbs area. I have tried different dishes in every visit and I've never had one that I did not enjoy. I strongly suggest to make reservations through Open Table or calling the restaurant directly. The last time I was here (a few weeks ago), we were seated in the outdoor heated tent. It was still a little chilly though because of the open spaces/gaps on the tent, but it was a pleasant dining experience. I have tried a variety of dishes but I will not go into any more details. Based from the handful of times I've been here, I've enjoyed their dishes and would love to try a lot more. The one star off was because of the inconsistent service. The staff members were all pleasant and efficient but I've always felt like each server wouldn't give enough time to actually talk, listen, or make their guests feel welcomed. I understand that they're busy, but I hAve been to other busy restaurants which provided much better service. Overall, I would still love to try other dishes at Davanti because I've had great experience here, when it comes to the food. The service is a different story though, that hopefully will get better. A little more effort wouldn't hurt, right? Til next time!

Shannon G.

Yelp
Davanti Enoteca is one of our favorite restaurants! We love it so much that we've made it a xmas eve tradition to come here. We especially love the ragu, the very excellent meatballs, the broccolini and the whipped ricotta with honey. It's also a great place for brunch! They recently opened a Naperville location that is not as good, which is a bummer because we live much closer to Naperville and would have loved to frequent this place more often. It's possible the kitchen is just suffering some growing pains there (fingers crossed) and the kinks will get worked out in time. Until then, we will keep making the trek out to western springs where the food is consistently excellent!

Parry S.

Yelp
The restaurant is situated in a prime location with ample space, but it leaves much to be desired in terms of staff performance and the food, which, in my opinion, is overrated. The cauliflower dish was disappointing. It was undercooked and lacked flavor, earning it a mediocre score of 4 out of 10. The sea bass was too oily and lacked a desirable taste, even though its presentation was attractive. The accompanying potatoes and olives were the only saving grace. At $37, I found it to be an unfortunate expenditure. The tiramisu, a staple in Italian dessert offerings, was overly creamy. In comparison to other local tiramisu options, it sadly fell short with a 3 out of 10 rating. In conclusion, this establishment feels like an over-hyped chain lacking the genuine Italian touch that I was seeking. It misses the mark by a significant margin and could benefit greatly from some authenticity.

Phil C.

Yelp
Dined here many, many times since it opened. Used to be one of my favorite Suburban Italian restaurants. Historically, good as anything downtown,. Great ambiance for sure. Wine list is now too expensive. Corporate changed the Roman Artichoke formula and they went from the BEST to something greasy and not edible. For the first time, the Cacio e pepe was also off, thin and watery. Very fresh Arugula salad, but the dressing tasted like straight lemon juice. The meatballs remain the world's best. Corporate very smart and effective, but they need a wake up call here. Like most places, the bartenders need to be trained in customer interface. A real weak link in the experience chain. Indeed, they can make or break the experience. They also have some serious local competition now, i.e. El Mio in nearby Clarendon Hills. Please bring back the unique Roman Artichokes

Yelp
#WWAmbassador Door Dashed from Davanti last night. We hadn't eaten their food since we went in February with our friends for their Godfather wine dinner. That night was fabulous with many delicious courses and wine pairings. Last night I ordered the cauliflower steak and then shared a veal meatball, ricotta vasi and cacio e pepe. I was very satisfied except the meatball fell short. It wasn't as soft and flavorful as my dad's. So disappointed. My husband had the rigatoni with sausage. It was a very small portion for an entree. Good thing we ordered a couple dishes to share. One of the first places I will go to dine at is this restaurant once the pandemic has come to an end. Ordering carryout it's a great way to get food from restaurants I love and to support them, but it's definitely not the same as dining in! I miss that so much!

I brought my best friend here to try something new in a different neighborhood. I dropped off a client here and noticed the decor of the place I said hey, why not give the place a try. We did. We ordered the Davanti burger, Bruschetta, and the Cacio e Pepe. The Davanti burger was out of this world delicious and the same for the Bruschetta, the best I ever had. My friend said the Cacio e Pepe was very good. Decor is excellent and the ambience superb. My problem with Davanti was those three items plus 1 regular beverage came to $60 for lunch. "Ouch" said my pockets. Nothing went with the Cacio e Pepe. No bread, salad...nothing. $19 for a burger and fries? Au Cheval does not charge that much and that is the No. 1 rated burger in the country! No bread on the table. Nothing. Oh well...next time I will just... "Lean Back" by Fat Joe, Remy Ma
