Attended birthday celebrations here. The food was good and came quickly, and the prices were decent. Our server (Asher) was attentive and very helpful, and the manager on duty (Justin) really helped everything go very smoothly. They have a great variety of games, and have updated the interior to incude walls of large screen TVs that will help you keep up with the score of your favorite teams.👍 The only negative for me was that the interior was just a tad bit too dark when you are trying to keep track of littles that are running all over the place and want to try all the games. Overall, a great time. 🙂

Visited with my son for a birthday party. The atmosphere is great! This is is a great spot to host a kids birthday. There is a section to sit and have a meal or a few drinks while the kids play. The gaming area is vast with an ample variety of games to engage kids of all ages.

The atmosphere was great with several large screens to watch live matches. Music was also just right. The games were for all ages. I had a blast playing the Star wars game and car racing games. We had lots of fun

Everything was stellar at the place. I’ve been to many Dave and Busters and this is definitely one of the nicest and largest I’ve been too. It has a full bartop with good food and all the sports games are playing so you have a good opportunity to unwind from games. Me and my friends thoroughly enjoyed and definitely will be back.

This was an awesome experience. There were so many games to try and I found the ones I did try to be fun. I would definitely go back. You even get rewards in extra ticket money on your card when you do well on games. Had a great time! I didn't buy any food there so I didn't rate the food.

My daughter 7 years old forced me to write this review. Her and her little brother love it here. She said give it a five star because we love the games, fried pickles, fries & the salmon. lol. It’s always great vibes and as a parent I love that I can seat off on the side and enjoy my food and drink & watch them play.

Dave & Buster's exceeded our expectations, and it was all thanks to our incredible server, Matthew! He was a tremendous help—friendly, professional, and full of enthusiasm. From start to finish, Matthew went above and beyond to make our night feel like an exclusive and extravagant experience. His attention to detail and genuine care made all the difference. We couldn’t have asked for better service! If you’re planning a visit, I highly recommend asking for Matthew—you won’t regret it! Thank you for an unforgettable evening!

I hosted my daughters birthday party here as this is her favorite party place in the world. I had attended parties at this location before but I had no idea how top notch the service was behind the scenes. We made a major blunder with the date of the party and the amazing staff was able to accommodate us despite our mistake. The food was plenty and the kids were super happy. Thank you so much in particular to Justin Oliver, Ben and Jamari for making our experience so top tier.

Went for a quick play date with my family. It was busy for a weekday. My son enjoyed the games. We ate the Quesidilla, Garlic Fries and Cali Salad. Food was decent. I would have liked the fries to be crispy. They were slightly undercooked. Service was decent.

Went here last night for a quick drink, and service is lacking. I like the bar, which is fully stacked with beer on tap. The music and big screens are nice. The parmesean truffle fries were good, and the parmsean wings were ok. The new Captians passion drink is tasty, as is the dangerous waters punch. There are no prices on the drink menu, which is annoying, but prices aren't too bad. The bartender never bothered to clean and remove dirty plates, not from us or the other customers. She looked fairly new; maybe learning the ropes. Managers and supervisors don't seem like they are on top of their staff; they are very lackadaisical. But I like the option to go to the bar and just hang out. They also have two happy hour time slots from 2-7pm and late night from 10-close, which is cool.

Good food, big fun. I Love Dave & Busters. I've also tried their cheeseburger which was good as well as their spicy Korean wings (not pictured)

Food disgusting. No vegan options. Broken machines. Slow service. Lots of time and money wasted here.

Visited the Gateway Brooklyn location and it was optimistically very good. Service was good and food was hot and tasty. We ordered Garlic Truffle fries, BBQ chicken flatbread and Chicken Parmigiana. All food was served hot and way tasty. The games all worked. Don't think I've ever seen that before. Many games were high tech or games of chance or skill. No tickets they all go onto the card. Very simple to redeem. Honestly it was a positive experience for a week night.

Took the kids and will not be returning. Seems every other arcade game wasn't working. After having several games take my coins of the game card but not work, was aggravating to say the least. Customers left their empty cups and trash on or by games and it seems no staff was walking around to clean up the place. Better maintenance and up keep of this Dave & Buster's is needed. This location is pretty big inside and with the right management of staff, this place could potentially be great to go to with kids. But please fix the broken or malfunctioning arcade games, keep the place clean and sanitized, and most importantly have managers and staff do frequent walk through and show their presence to the paying customers that need assistance. Refunding customers for lost arcade game card money should also be practiced here and made available to customers. Sadly customer service is not practiced or enforced at this location. Beware of coming here and be prepared to loose money with the arcade game cards you purchase. Honestly just go elsewhere if you can. I truly wish this place all the best but honestly have no plans to return.

Worst Dave and Busters ever. Close it down. The staff is disgustingly rude. I saw them literally yell at customers about not tipping enough. I waited 20mins for a bartender to give me the beer I ordered which was a twist off! Another bartender hunted my friend and I down in the game floor over his card machine malfunctioning saying the payment didn't go through. Then threatened us with security. Literally don't waste your time.

So... its exactly what you know dave and busters to be. Games, drinks, food, and half-ass service. The overall space is large and there is parking that's all convenient. We came here on a Saturday night and sat at the large bar. We ordered the shrimp scampi flat bread it was dry. I had to order some ranch to dip it into. I had the plant-based burger meal. That was good. Would I come back here hmm... maybe.

Since Dave & Buster's opened in Gateway BROOKLYN I believe I've been there about ten times. I've eaten there at least three times. The food was good every time. The service was just as good & not too expensive. The restrooms were clean. Now to the main reason to visit... the GAMES! Plenty of games for a fun filled day/night with your family and/or friends. The only thing I don't like is that the card for the games are ran off of chips and each game costs a different amount of chips. So it is kind of hard to keep track of how much you are spending. Definitely not a big thing in my opinion. I'm looking for to going back again soon!

I must say this place is very large and the perfect size and location for the neighborhood. Now for the good part the food is adequate ,only because this place can't seem to get a good menu of items and perfect it. The items on the menu keep changing and not for the better. I am not sure who is in charge of that but they are doing a poor job for item selections. I under stand this is a large venue however the service is simply horrendous and disappointing. This place can be so much better if they had a better staff that understood the assignment. I think the staff at this venue is under the impression that they are not there for the customers and clients spending money there.its so sad that they just don't get it.

The foods is great and the drinks are good the service need work but the servers are good and do there best to see that you are good it's just when it crowded the service is slow.

They need more people working there smh. Came in at 3 went and got some tokens and then went to pit our names on the list for a table. Kept checking in she said you are in line and this was at 330ish. We didn't sit down until 445. At that time we had left and got the text so we went back. I had some bbq wings which were pretty good Hennessey I think Nad that shrimp flat bread pizza was good. Drinks were not good. Anywho I will give them a other try

The salmon was phenomenal! I left red lobster and glad I did. The families were having fun with great food. I was glad we left red lobster and their rude behavior.

The service was not the best due to the busy area I was sitting. The food I did not enjoy at all. The ambiance as like any other restaurant/arcade. Nothing spectacular. It's kool they are in gateway. Another way to attract business to the shopping area. Just not sure if I'll be back, especially if there is another one closer to my home at Atlantic mall.

Good time especially if you like video games. Check it out. Food is good. Bathroom is clean

Pricey as heck. One star removed for this. BUT... good game selections. Little something for all ages and inclinations. Decent food but ~tiny~ portions. Mostly clean. If you go on a Wednesday? Be prepared for *huge* throngs of children and lots of noise. Extremely under staffed. Had to detract a star. After the arcade, I sat down for a snack at the bar. Jasmin was friendly but sadly spread thin over the monster sized bar. However, when I did catch her eye, she was attentive and quick. This location needs to increase their staffing levels. Every employee I engaged was pleasant but you could tell they were over worked. Nor did I once see any janitorial personnel, hence the 'mostly clean' comment above. This business is a pleasant entertainment/eatery and a decent replacement for the long gone Fuddruckers that closed down years ago in Howard Beach. It could be so much more if the management actually read the reviews and acted positively upon them. HIRE MORE STAFF!!

Some of the slowest service I've ever received. A friend and I came here on a Saturday night and it didn't even seem that busy. We sat at the bar while we waited for a table and we were seated at the bar for 20 minutes and nobody acknowledged us. The staff was running around and wouldn't even look at us or tell us they'd be with us in a bit. We finally got a table and we were ready to order as soon as our server came over, which took another 10 minutes after we sat down. He was very nice and said they were busy, which is why we hadn't be served yet. We ordered drinks and food and everything came out pretty quickly. The food was to be expected. Nothing special, but decent enough to satisfy hungry customers. While we waited for our food, someone came over with Jell-O shots that we got and absolutely loved! Overall, the service wasn't great and the food was just okay. Definitely overpriced for what you get. I probably wouldn't come back here.

"Newish" D&B in Gateway Plaza - Brooklyn (Former Toys-R-Us) THE GOOD: -PARKING - Ample Parking -INSIDE SPACE - Ample Indoor space for games -ENTERTAINMENT - Nice selection of games -RESTAURANT SERVICE (Wait) - 21 minute table wait (they said 20, so this almost accurate) -RESTAURANT SERVICE (Food) - Appetizers came within reasonable timeframe --RESTAURANT SERVICE (Server Wait/Staff Comms) - Thumbs Up to MOD (Manager-On-Duty); Appears she just started her shift and addressed some of the BAD -REWARDS CENTER - Not crowded and organized; 3 cashiers assisting with gift redemption; one assisting with customer asks - We were 5th/6th on line. This line moved quickly. Kudos! Most D&B gift centers are chaotic. THE BAD: -SELF-SERVICE REWARD MACHINES - "Iffy"/broken - Observed people using same machine multiple times/multiple machines to check balance/add credits, etc... -POWER UP KIOSK/S - unmanned/dark - Wanted to ask questions regarding combining cards, no staff at Kiosk. Customers were sitting on the 2 register-allocated stools. -RESTAURANT (Seating) - (General Population Area - GEN POP) - Tight -RESTAURANT (Seating) - (Booth Section by Entrance)- Although there were people seated there, the section we requested to be seated in (a booth away from GEN POP - yeah there is still a Triple-Demic), appears to be closed and staff is not aware (May explain why I had to go request a Server) - RESTAURANT SERVICE (Table) - No plates, napkins, silverware; had to request them; when arrived - plates were dirty (see pic) -RESTAURANT SERVICE (Server Wait/Staff Comms) - SUCKS! - 17 minute wait for Server (I approached a Maître d' after 15 minutes) / NOTE: Manager came to table, "Inquested" and left; Server appeared from different direction a few minutes later asking same question of whether or not we were served; appears to be staff miscommunication -RESTAURANT SERVICE (Drinks) - My S.O. asked for an extra shot in her drink. She didn't get it (Server said the bartender added it to the drink - most places put it on the side) mine was weak; Wasn't worth ordering another. -RESTAURANT SERVICE (Food/Appetizer) - Appetizers were room temperature, so means it was sitting in the kitchen for a while (possibly gathering bacteria and human germs) -RESTAURANT SERVICE (Food/Entrees) - No Entrees - Waited 60 minutes after ordering Entrees; they never came; had to cancel order. My 13 YO did not want Appetizers, so he DID NOT EAT AT ALL. -RESTAURANT SERVICE (Ambience) - D&B tries to market itself as a "Sports Bar/Restaurant; however upon walking in, none of the TVs were tuned to any live NFL/NBA Games; Appears this was resolved when MOD came on shift THE UGLY: -I WILL (Not eat here) - Wanted to end 2-week Staycation with fun night of Food and Games at a local business as I am all about supporting local businesses; however D&B Restaurant/Food = FAIL -I WILL (Not play here) - Due to EPIC Food fail, did not Stay and Play - Will spend combined @600 credits at another D&B -THEY NEED - (To increase Staff/Or pay them more) - First impression while walking in and around after making physical reservation? Understaffed. Suggestion: increase staff. If not, pay them more, so they can AT LEAST act like they care -THEY NEED - (To uptrain Staff/And pay them more) - MOD came on shift and seemed to quickly resolve some logistical issues; however appeared to be overwhelmed; Would suggest Assistant MOD to help MOD; Also, D&B should pay her more to care. That's a wrap! Yeah Man!

It should be zero stars! The insidious and unscrupulous worker(s) just STOLE points from two of my power cards. Somehow they got a hold of the card numbers and the 4 digit PIN on the backside and transferred all the points and credit to another card not belonging to me and cashed out those points for a gift. I went to the customer service at the Gateway location and they were reluctant to help me (I wonder why!) and referred me to the toll free customer service; after a long wait and conversation with the rep it was revealed that points and credits were unlawfully taken out of my two cards. This is wrong at all levels as these cards belong to my kids; I supervise them as they play the games. Power Card users, please do monitor your card transaction history vis the app. That's how I found out my card balances were cleared out. I'm no longer a patron of Dave and Busters as this company can not be trusted because of internal theft.

Received a receipt that had a total of $114.48 as the overall price to include taxes. I paid with my debit card, was given my card back and the waiter then told me hold on I'll be right back with another receipt. The waiter then came back with another receipt, not realizing why he went to get another receipt I just grabbed it and left a $10 tip at the table. Afterwards I then saw he included a charged tip of $20.61 which was not told to me beforehand. I'm upset that he even did that and hadn't told me anything, now if tip was to be included as "gratuity" it wasn't brought to my attention at any given point. Also nowhere on the receipt states gratuity is included, just says "suggested gratuity". That kind of service I do not appreciate, it's the principle that matters!!!!

My third time around ! This is better experience! Thanks to the manager for a welcoming hospitality! He goes to everyone to make sure that their experience is amazing! The staff there now are so much better! The food was amazing! I can't wait to take my daughter again!

Very disappointing experience. Way overpriced for bland food and drinks. Once we were seated at a table, we waited a half hour before anyone came to take our orders. Once we ordered, we played some games while we waited for food. When our food arrived, my daughter and I received our drinks, just soda, while my wife didn't receive her drink from the bar until we were just about finished eating. And her drink was so bad, felt like there wasn't any alcohol in it at all. Now the food needs help STAT! The wings and tenders had no flavor at all even with the sauce. The meat itself was not even seasoned. The fries had more flavor than the chicken. The pepperoni pizza so bland it should be removed from the menu. The fried cauliflower tempura was ok, but could be better. I did enjoy the arcade a bit, nice games to play. But the service provided needs to change, otherwise D&B will not survive. No one should sit at a table and wait a half hour for a server to take their orders. I do not recommend coming here!

If I could, I would give 0 stars! I came in with my 7 year old daughter, spent $50 on the games, while I kept getting harassed from the staff over my Starbucks drink. Forced me to throw it away, even though I was spending money in the arcade. Never coming back!!!

Poor poor service !!! Waitress profiled me and my husband and she wasn't welcoming at all ! Did introduce herself or anything made no eye contact . Handed my husband a menu for us to share ! Not even the decency to give me my own ! Then closed my tab as soon as I bought my first drink ! And told us it was procedure ! Meanwhile I asked the guy next next to us did the same happen to him? He said no as he recieved a second beer !! Terrible !!! Short ... lady with black and green hair not sure if she was Hispanic or Caucasian but RUDE ! Was disgusting she shouldn't work in customer service with a attitude as such !!

The new dave and buster is so nice. Its spacious near the bar area. The tvs are huge and screens are here and all around the bar area. Very nice. Food was luke warm when it arrived, and i asked for plastic utensil and waited damn near a half hour while at the bar. Not sure if they lacking on employees but the wait for the utensils as well as my drink was not enjoyable.however food was good and tasty. I have the chimmi churri bowl with salmon, cold but was still tasty. Waitress I didnt wipe bar area where me and a friend sat and he was Livid.

My first time at this location , it was really crowded even with a reservation, it was no different from any other dave & busters except for the excessive smell of weed , no everybody on this planet smokes weed !

Extremely clean and service at the bar/food area was very friendly and professional. Went with my husband, son (6) and daughter (3). Son had the chicken nuggets which were actually fried chicken chunks - was surprisingly good and flavorful, and my daughter had the cheese pizza which tasted about one step above dominos - which is more than sufficient for a Dave and Busters type place. Hubby had a burger and it was flavorful and cooked exactly like he wanted, and I had the kale Caesar salad with grilled shrimp and it was very tasty. I expected everything to taste like I was at Applebees, but it was much better. The games on average were about 8-15 chips on average, so the money on the game card gets gobbled up pretty quickly - we started out with 2 cards that had 200 chips each. This location doesn't have pool tables or a bowling alley like the one in Westbury, but it's newer and shinier and cleaner.

I deadass got seated here only to be waiting 40 minutes for our order to be taken.... We ended up leaving lol.....

Anytime I went it wasn't crowded. Hope it stays that way. The food wasn't bad. Regular bar food. The drinks could be better (little watery). Service can also be very slow (that's the one thing that's consistent every time I go). My daughter had a good time playing the games.

We went as a party of 10 for my daughters birthday. We had a great time. Our waitress was kind and patient with all of our orders. We really enjoyed ourselves and will be returning!

Arrived during happy hour and sat at the booth. Took 30mins for our first drinks to arrived. The food was either too cook or not cook enough. The drinks were inconsistent. I would think since half the place is a food area the service would be better. The place has so much potential but it just sucks. I will not be returning.

First time at this location Gateway mall it was very niice place went on a Wednesday night i gave it 3stars doesn't have many things to choose from on the menu also we asked for napkins we was eating buffalo wings and they did not have they gave us wet wipes... also the waiter never came back to ask how was everything and we had to chase her down for a refill we also ask for ketchup she never brought it we had to take from another table!! Other then that the play area was nice n clean also the first bathroom stall in the women's bathroom did not close !! She was the waiter w the silver wig !!

Cool spot,nice and a lot of spot..if you wanna just watch the game and drink and eat you got a bar & if you wanna play games they have a lot of choices..the bartender was cool..will be back!

The kids had fun with the games but if you want to enjoy the food/bar area I suggest you avoid this location. We were completely ignored at the bar and when we did manage to get someone's attention he took our drink order and never came back with the drinks. We left to get food/drinks elsewhere.

Service was excellent today from Jamari. He was very attentive and made the best strawberry watermelon margarita. I was not happy with service in the past from this place but he has restored my desire to come back!!!

The waitress named Yvonne will select maximum tip (24-25%) and charge your card before you can even figure out you have been hustled. I was not provided an itemized receipt and was not even given option to leave gratuity as she had already decided what I would leave as her tip. She held her Point of Sale device close to her chest to prevent you from seeing the theft in front of your eyes. If you are visiting this location, be sure to either ask for an itemized receipt and bill so you can leave your own gratuity or request to personally see their handheld POS device so you can decide what you would like to leave for gratuity. Waitress was disingenuous and I leave feeling hustled rather than satisfied with my experience.

This Location is ONE of the and I mean it in CAPITAL horrible locations ever. Some of our food came out we had no drinks food and were cold drinks were horrible the manager came wel "One" of the managers came and we told him he walked off the bill was paid in full before we even got out food because we had a table of 20 to top it the "manager" spilled water on the floor never cleaned it. just HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE, HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT, HORRIBLE STAFF. place needs a full clean house new staff new management. This Dave & Buster's is a nice addition to the neighborhood and is fine if you live in Brooklyn and don't have a car. If you do drive however, it would be better to just go to Westbury. The one in Westbury is about 4 times the size of this one and has a much better menu. This place is so small, it should be called Dave & Buster's express. I had a burger and fries, which I enjoyed, but the kids didn't like their chicken fingers. They said they were too dry.

I was a customer last night after attempting to go the previous Saturday around dinner time. There aren't enough bartenders, and the service was piss poor. I was told there would be a maximum 3 hour wait on a table on Saturday night. I came back on Monday after attempting unsuccessfully to get a drink on Saturday and returned hopeful. Our server was atrocious, messed up our order twice, he charged me three times, and I'm STILL attempting to get a refund back for the terrible service. I wouldn't go back until they've had time to appropriately train their staff and bartenders. Many of the beers advertised on tap weren't even hooked up, and our server mentioned it after we waited a good amount just to get our drink order placed. Expect long waits, horribly mixed cocktails, and a lackluster experience for your evening. If I could give it zero stars I would. I was also not given a receipt at the end of my meal.
