Dave's Hot Chicken

First time here and I was really impressed. The cashier asked if we'd ever been there before and thanked us for coming in. The food was surprisingly delicious and the chicken tenders were nice and thick. I got mild spice level and found it very flavorful (maybe a little heavy on the paprika) and it didn't burn my mouth at all. The accordion fries were great and I loved the flavorful mayo dip. The tables were nice and clean. I was honestly surprised at how much I enjoyed my meal and will definitely be back.

I recently went to Dave’s Hot Chicken to try out what all the hype was, and I wasn’t very impressed. Their sandwiches were very small and had a cold bun. Their buns weren’t toasted or anything, and neither was their slice of bread they gave me. Their fries were not very tasty and not seasoned enough; it was mediocre food at best. The only thing I can say that I liked very well was their chicken tenders. They were very juicy and well seasoned; they did not disappoint. If I could come back, I would just eat their chicken tenders. If I had to pick a place that was better than Dave’s Hot Chicken, I would choose The Kluckin Chicken instead. You would be getting your money back on how good their food is. Overall, Dave’s Hot Chicken wasn’t bad but not good—just not $50 worth.

The food was decent. They have different levels of spicy. So if you don't like spicy, that's fine they have non spicy to mild to very spicy HOT. You'll definitely wanna use the extra sauce they give you! The fries were good, too. It's not a place to go to if you're counting your calories or if you're looking for something healthy. Not a long wait to get your food and staff was friendly. Easy parking, too.

I would say hot should be the highest level. It’s very good. I find if you go higher the seasoning over powers and doesn’t taste the best.

I ordered to go because they were super busy and seating was limited. It took a while for the food to come but it was very good!!! I'll be back

Placed my order online. Got there and was told they had gotten my order where I placed it at 940pm. Place was half empty. Upon arrival I was told to wait 5 mins at 950. I got my meal at 1009pm and my meal ticket said it was ready 1003pm. They didn't call my name. Cmon y'all? Just got home and I'm missing a side and cutlery that I chose while ordering online. Cmon y'all.

It was my first time coming here. I loved it. The fries were crispy like n the seasoning was amazing.

I got hot, and that was hot enough. Frys were good and hot. For me, 2 tenders with frys and a drink was 15.00, little pricey but good. They also do veterans discount.

We stopped by Dave's Hot Chicken at the Empire Center in Burbank. I ordered the #4, which comes with sliders on a soft potato bun, topped with kale slaw, pickles, and a drizzle of Dave's sauce. My husband got the #2 (2 sliders with fries) and liked it too. Service was fast and friendly, Overall, it was solid.

If you're craving juicy fried chicken, look no further . I 'm a wimp when it comes to spicy so I usually order mild level and it's the perfect level of spice. My go to is the two slider combo . Comes with tasty crinkle cut fries and pickle. The breast meat was so tender and juicy. Definitely cooked to order. Also it's a dry rub hot chicken, so don't expect it to be the same in style as Nashville hot chicken. They add purple cabbage and pickles which compliments the product as a whole by giving you the freshness and crunch. Food and service here is always good. The interior is nice and clean.

Ill say the same thing for all Dave's Chickens, when the expansion happened the taste changed. I don't know if it is just watered down but I used to go to the original location and that was the best. Anyway a little mad they gave my order to someone else else after I waited but they did what they could to try to fix it with a little somethin. To me this was the only place I would eat at in this whole shopping center.

One of the better Daves that's out there. The chicken was freshly made, it was juicy, it was tender and it tasted great. The lady at the register was very nice and helpful. The ambiance was great. Some of the Dave's locations have fallen off but glad to see some still care. Good spot to check out.

Disgusting!!!! You go inside there is a horrible smell that we couldn't stand and decided to go and sit outside. Places the order and once we got it there was 2 strands of copper/orange hair on our food. I immediately went and returned it. The 2 ladies at the counter looked at each other and smiled, no apologies, nothing, and the older one called Angel, who was I guess a manager to come and help. He refunded and apologized and wanted to replace our food and I said no and walked away. Inside was a mess. The napkin dispenser was empty, trash bin was overfilled inside the store and water or left over of the drinks from the cups inside the trash covered the floor and went under one of the tables. Never ever going back to this location.

this is my first time coming to Dave's hot chicken in the empire center that is located in burbank. i was craving a chicken sandwich with some coleslaw inside and since i was already shopping in the empire center I decided to give this place a try. I would have to say that the photos Dave's chicken advertises is false advertising cause the food comes out looking nothing like the photos they promote. As you can see in MY photo, this is what you ACTUALLY get. i mean.. where is my coleslaw? the cook put like 4 cabbages and called it a day. the sauce was very little. just 2 pickles in the sandwich, some pickles on the side & that's it. i do have to say the chicken was nicely cooked and seasoned well, which is why i gave 2 stars. the fries were nicely seasoned and cooked. their blueberry slushee is good. the ordering process was quick. waiting for the food does take some time. i wouldn't come back to this location.

From a Sunday before 7pm dinner rush. Great seasoning. Medium has a slight kick to it, nothing crazy. Ordered the nuggets with fries $10. Crunchy fries with its own yummy seasoning. It also comes with toast and pickles. The spread tastes like ketchup and mayo. Another condiment good to pair with is honey. Food was delicious seasoned pretty well, we did an online order and a kiosk order both was easy to pick up and made in good time. Lady at the counter was really nice and friendly. Decent amount of seating for parties of 4 also have seating out side. Music was perfect and for the most part really clean. Only thing I wish was different is they added more lucky charms to the "loaded" cup it was more ice cream than anything.

The food was served literally cold and old looking. Tasted old. They didn't even bother reheating it. The staff was nice and the location is fine but come on...

The food was great and the folks were helpful in helping us figure out what spice level to get. The graffiti even appears to be local, which was fun to see! It was clean and even the bathrooms looked great!

You can switch out the fries for Mac and cheese, which I like better sometimes!

Food is very delicious, next time I'll get 3 tenders. Would recommend to people who likes Nashville chicken.

Excellent service on top of amazing food. The chicken is always so juicy with soft pickles. I definitely recommend it if you're thinking about trying for the first time or if you're a regular customer. Best DHC location.

Stopped by with my son to buy an early dinner to go. I almost never eat food like this but for some reason I was craving it so we got the slider with fries. I got medium heat and it wasn't spicy at all. It was flavorful and had a crispy skin. It tasted good. Dave's is probably the best Nashville style chicken place in Southern California. It's always busy and now they are opening new locations all around the country. Customer service was ok, could have been more friendlier but lately it's hard to find that. This location is convenient cause it has a lot of parking space, it has indoor and outdoor seating. Cool artwork on walls.

I just arrived for some chicken bro how lame and unprofessional and wack of a service they are to the point they tell you 25 plus minute wait Like what's up with all these food spots not being able to fulfill needs

This place has one of the best chicken sandwiches. I would just get mild or medium level. Cheese fries are great too. The service is insanely quick, with nice cashiers. The place is usually packed or not packed with very quick orders. There is lots of art around the wall which makes it seem like a normal chicken spot.

I still remember my first time trying Dave's at their first brick and mortar store in Western. I was among the crazy people who lined up hours just to get my hands on their chicken sandwich. So glad they've added more stores nearby me. This particular store is just a little more than a mile from my house. I went here on the day they're giving away one slider per person. I ordered an extra slider because I know one won't be enough. I had them to go cuz the place was loud, messy, and very busy that day. I was really hungry so I devoured both sliders as soon as I got home. They were as good as expected. They never disappoint. Planning to revisit soon and I'm sure service and tidiness will be on point to earn five stars.

The food was AMAZING. The chicken was crispy ,juicy ,tender ,and the perfect level of spice. The delivery was faster than expected. I really recommend Dave's Hot Chicken

Stopped in for some spicy chicken strips and chicken bites. At first glance it's a bit pricey. They gave us a nice amount of bites for the price. The food was cooked fresh. The medium imo wasn't spicy at all but still good. The extra hot wasn't as spicy as I thought it would be neither but also good. The guys were friendly and helpful. Plenty of parking options outside the restaurant was definitely was a plus.

Terrible service! First time here and will NEVER come back! Cashier (who was one of two managers on duty) was slow as molasses! Waited 10 minutes in back of just one customer. Then when I was ready to order, and asked another manager what she recommended, the cashier took someone else! Wtf!? What kinda crack pot service is this! I mentioned it to the co-manager who was helpful answering my questions, but she just said sorry. Added insult to injury: Again, waited 10 minutes in line, only to have the co-manager take someone that was AFTER me in line! WTH!? So much for first impressions! Hope the GM, Angel, reads these reviews! I'm actually shocked it's got over a 4-rating on Yelp!

Great chicken and great fries. I am a huge fan of very spicy food, so I ordered one tender of Extra Hot and one Reaper. The extra hot was perfect for me, good amount of spice and great taste. The Reaper was just above my limit, as I figured would be the case when they made me sign a waiver. I'd say it's maybe a step or two (at the most) below the heat of the One Chip Challenge thing. It's that hot. I've never had spice from a restaurant cause that kind of pain. I only made it through half the tender. So, if you love very spicy food, start with the Extra Hot and go from there. I warn you...the jump to Reaper is huge. There could literally be one or two more steps in between. Enjoy!

This place was a huge surprise. We pass by it every time but this time decided to try it. My husband ordered the hottest sandwich there was on the menu. In fact he has to sign a waiver if he ordered the sandwich. We were laughing like are they for real. Yes indeed. The staff was super friendly and helping us along the way answering ALL our questions. We will definitely give this place another try in fact we LOVE the fries also!

The food is ok, it used to be better. But the service sucks. I bought 3 meals asked for a couple of extra honey since they always cheap out on giving out honey, the employees response was we have a honey shortage so you get what you get. I said ok thinking they would at least put two packages of honey for each sandwich I ordered 4 sandwiches and tenders. I get home and open the bag not one single packet of honey. Honey is a key condiment in a this type of a chicken sandwich food chain. I'm sure the owners know better than I do. If you're actually having a honey shortage I distribute honey maybe I can be of help. I hate writing negative reviews if you check out my page it's mostly positive reviews. But that employee pissed me off the way he responded.

a month ago in burbank for wedding weekend near my hotel, I was happy I had found Dave's Hot Chicken but its not as spicy as I thought after ordering & specifically asking for SPICY.

Food was excellent. Service was decent. I like the fact that you could order at the touch screen. The inside was really out but there was tables outside

I've been on a hot chicken hunch since a recent trip to Nashville. This spot did not disappoint. Good music playing, fun atmosphere, and good food. The hot is pretty hot, just be warned. The fries were crispy and seasoned well. Extra pickles was not an issue for them. Minus one star because they were not able to make milkshakes. Looking forward to returning.

Good value for delicious food. I was shopping in the plaza near by with my friends. We decided to come here when other eateries had a long wait. I have heard about Dave's Hot Chicken but haven't had the chance to try it out til now. I ordered the #4 slider with fries. I added a small soda and the total was under $15 for the meal. I ordered lite mild because I wasn't sure how much spice mild would have. It was delicious and the bun was nice and soft. The fries were cooked really well. I would gladly eat at Dave's Hot Chicken again if I'm nearby one & am hungry.

Not a fan of the chicken--flavor is very cumin forward. Fries decent, Dave's sauce is nothing special.

Picked up Dave's hot chicken for the fist time and drove to the park to enjoy it there with the kids. Kids enjoyed the fries and milkshake. Our sandwiches were great too had a bit of a spice which added a good kick. Took us a while to try this well known place but can set see what the hype is about. Restaurant was clean with vibrant colors and services fast and friendly staff.

I ordered the two chicken strip meal. The seasoning was pretty good and it came with fries, a piece of bread and a drink. The strips vary in size since we ordered multiple meals and there was no consistency, just the luck of the draw so if you are pretty hungry just order an extra tender on the side. Overall quick and easy for a fast meal.

Love chicken sandwiches spots like Dave's and others. Chicken is always delicious and very filling. Our food did take awhile to get out when there wasn't many people inside really and they didn't have any of the milkshakes we wanted that looks bomb so that sucked but when it came to the actual meal it was very tasty and scuffed it down quite quickly because of how good it was

Food was good but no one cleans the tables they are filthy and sticky I asked them if they could clean the tables and they gave it a fast wipe with a wet paper towel and didn't dry it and when I sat down my shirt sleeves stuck to the table so I had go get soap and a rag and do it myself

Terrible service workers were rude and the food was mid. My friends and I wanted to get a deal that works at other Dave's Hot Chicken and they wouldn't even consider it.

Horrible experience, ordered the loaded fries and waited about 20mins, then when my number is called they wait to tell me they have no cutlery so I ask how do i eat my meal? With my hands? The female worker's response was "yeah" while she shrugged her shoulders. I decide to ask for a return instead because it was going to be too messy to eat with my hands. So upon asking for a refund she just got it and threw my meal away in the trash and turned to the kitchen. So I asked if I can order something else and upon taking my order, since the two sliders with fries cost more, I had to pay a difference. So she rang me up for a single tender instead at 4.99 when my difference was 3.99 so on top of the horrible experience, I still paid an extra $1. When my order was ready, she just called my number and when I walked up to the counter, she just dropped it on the counter, while she has been serving all other orders to the customers' hands. I Will be bubbling this up to corporate as well. This happened on 1/4 at 9:15pm. Worker involved in this incident: Young, Female, African American worker.

This Dave's Hot Chicken is very clean and the staff treated me very nicely. I'd come back to this one instead of the one closer to where I live.

Daves was really really good when they were in Hollywood in the parking lot. The quality, sizes of the tenders was a bit smaller and thinner. Now you get a big chicken tender that you can barely bite, the rub is dry, max n cheese feels like microwaved, just overall not the same Daves hot chicken. I'll still have Dave's here and there, hats off to them for where they're now good job.

I've been wanting to try this place for a while now and I wish I could give it 5 stars. The 2 stars are for the experience. I ordered a chocolate milkshake for my daughter to go with her meal. When I got there to pick up the order. The cashier who handed me the food also handed me the shake and she put it in front of me on the counter and left. When I looked at my shake. It was watery, basically chocolate milk with no shake. I wanted to bring it up to her but she never came back. Almost like she knew and hid from me. Once the other worker acknowledged me , I told him about the milkshake and he inspected the machine. He concluded with, it's not working. He was nice enough to suggest a slushee, which I took still but there's a price difference. Oh well. The food was good though. I will try again and hopefully have a different experience and I will update.

I had never heard of, let alone been to, a Dave's before, but I enjoyed their tenders and was happy to find that their "spicy" level truly qualified as being spicy. Slathered Dave's sauce worked to balance some of the burning, being some kind of aioli, and the mac & cheese side, though not my favorite (I prefer flavorful baked macs), also countered the heat. The service was quick and impersonal, a fine fast food experience, and the restaurant itself had a medium-sized seating area with clean tables.

Such a great experience here! Place is exceptionally clean and the service is quick. It was my first time at Dave's and Jessie the cashier answered all of my questions. The chicken was tender and crispy, just the way it's supposed to be. I'll be back the next time i'm in Burbank!

So excited to see a Dave's now in Burbank! Been going to the North Hollywood one for a while. By far my favorite chicken sandwich chain. This location is super clean and opened only 2 days ago (May 5th). It has a great amount of parking and seating (both inside and out). Service was good, especially with it being opening weekend and them still getting everything set up. I definitely recommend downloading their app. Once this location gets the large lines of people, it will speed up the process. To sum it up... Dave's is a must!

I was at the Empire Shopping Center and noticed that Dave's Hot Chicken was finally opened. So happy they have one here. Definitely beats allot of the other food places in the Shopping center. Who doesn't love Dave's? The chicken is so juicy and spices always on point. The service was sufficient. Definitely could step it up a notch. The restaurant is clean and decorated in cool street art like the other stores. I ordered 2 sliders with cheese fries, and extra side of cheese. The food is so yummy all the time and fresh. I love Dave's! I gave this location a four star because the energy from the staff could step it up and blend with the energy of the establishment!

Fantastic Flavor & Spice! Dave's Hot Chicken is an absolute must-visit for anyone who loves bold flavors and a bit of heat. The menu is simple, but what they do, they do exceptionally well. The chicken is always juicy, perfectly crispy, and seasoned to perfection. You can choose your heat level, which is great for those who like it mild or those who live for extreme spice! The service is very good and the ambiance too.

This place has the best chicken sliders people who didn't like it has a severe mental disability it tastes good the service is great everything is amazing this should be on someone's bucket list.And the place has a really cool vibe to it to.
