Dave's Hot Chicken

Although I understand mistakes happen customer service should be seamless when visiting any establishment. Customer service is a big part of the face of any company. Today was my first and last time EVERY visiting Dave's Hot Chicken. I am not from Texas and where I am from there is no Dave's Chicken when I learned of this business here I decided today since I was in Mesquite are to visit for lunch. I came through drive through and was asked was this my first time I placed my order which was the number 1 mild, my total came up to $11.98. I normally use my card to purchase but because I had cash on me I decided to use cash and I handed the cashier 20.03 after handing her the money she left the window open, so I was able to see her and as I was watching her she was looking confused as to what to do with the .03 cent. After a minute or so she hands me back $7.03. I looked and said I gave you $20.03 so that you could give me $7.05 she proceeded to argue with me and say, "no it's on the receipt", I said " I gave you $20.03 so that I could get a nickel and she just stood there now looking at me light a deer in headlights. I then said you still did not give me my correct change you gave me $7.03 and based off what you entered in the cash register you put I gave you $20.02. Long story longer It would be most important have people working with great attitudes and then not only that someone who can do basic math. After I said to her "you know, never mind don't worry about it" she looks at the girl that was standing next to her and they both just started laughing as to if this was a joke or something!!! So, after that disaster I get all the way back to the office only to open a container of OLD MESS!! Not only was the chicken not fresh but it looked as if someone took chunks out of the chicken. At first, I said maybe it fell off, but no this is extremely unacceptable!!! I am beyond frustrated due to me wasting my gas, money and time to come patronize an establishment that plays around not only with customers money, but their food and the staff is SOOOOOO unprofessional. I will never eat at Daves Hot Chicken again this was the WORST first experience ever!!!!

The whole experience was really good! We came on the free slider day. The whole staff was friendly and accommodating, even though the line started outside it moved very fast. We also got our food very fast and it was fresh and hot and correct. The food was piping hot and delicious. The fries were hot crisp and fluffy on the inside. Great experience! Keep up the good work 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

If you have something bad to say about Dave's Hot Chicken or their Mac-n-Cheese... I dont need to know you. I had 2 HOT TENDERS and 1 EXTRA HOT with a side of Mac-n-Cheese. It was all great! The server who took my order was polite and attentive. The food was served timely and prepared to juicy spicy hot perfection. I have a new chicken place!!!

It was burnt and not fresh and fries are cold and soggy.. . I’m so disappointed me and my sister come all the time never had a problem until now. We was waiting in drive thru for awhile because we though it was gonna be fresh. But it was not.. I would like a refund or a replacement.

From the time we walked in until the time we left was a great experience! We were greeted as soon as we opened the door! Initially we were going to do take-out but because of Dre we decided to stay. He was very knowledgeable of the menu and gave us different options. His service was amazing!! And he didn't stop moving the entire time we were there!! Cleaning tables, restocking the drink area, emptying the trash, everything! He and the staff showed great teamwork! And the food... hot, fresh, and delicious!! We don't really stay in this area but we will be back!!

I love this location, the food is delicious and the customer service is beyond lovely. Everyone there is extremely accommodating! Alberto is very attentive, Lourdes makes sure the food is on point and Nathan at the register is so friendly. Great place to eat!

My first time going to a dave’s hot chicken, the chicken was spicier than expected but fries were amazing. It was so good has to take some home for rest of family to try!!

Iloved it super nice star I loved Ms.v she was so nice and omg she knows what's up she had such a good recommendation and loved the food combos she showed us they they are just the most friendly staff and the food was so good loved that the chicken was juicy and just the right amount of spice

First time at dave's and lets say they did not disappoint or let me down. The portion size AMAZING the chicken AMAZING and the fries AMAZING. The lady's working all were super nice and sweet. And let me tell you i'm a sauce AHOLIC so when i hear unlimited sauce you know i was ALL in. Definitely going to have to go back especially to this location. DONT WAIT GET IT TODAY!!!!

Food ok Service is really trash Ambience is really trash Took forever to fix my food and it wasn't even crowded Didn't put no sauce packages in the bag Please I repeat please do not spend your hard earned money here

Disappointed with the Hype If I could give zero stars I would!! I really wanted to like Dave's Hot Chicken, especially after hearing so much about it--but honestly, the food just didn't live up to the expectations. The chicken was overly greasy and lacked real flavor beyond just being spicy. The heat felt like it was there just for shock value, not something that actually added to the taste. The breading was soggy instead of crispy, and the meat itself didn't taste fresh. Even the sides were underwhelming--fries were limp and unseasoned, and the slaw didn't do much to balance the meal. I left feeling more disappointed than full. Service was okay, and the vibe was fine, but at the end of the day, it's the food that matters--and unfortunately, it just didn't deliver.

Stop in first time to eat here. Got chicken slider and fries. Really good and tasty. Nice surprise with a nice price! I'll be back!

food was absolutely delicious! Worth the 25 minute drive. We got the sliders and it was more than enough to fill me up. also i weigh 215 and am 6foot.

Food came out fast fresh and delicious , great customer service! Love my slider and tender I got an extra hot tender me and my boyfriend love this place! Angelica was really kind and very efficient!

Don't recommend. Long lines . Waited just to get home and see NO chicken was in my sliders . 0/10

I found out about this place on social media. The reviews were positive for the most part, and it looked good. I had to drive a half hour to get it! In my opinion, it was definitely overhyped AND overpriced. But that's not the kicker. After eating from this place for dinner, my entire family of five got violently ill. We were all throwing up, and had bad diarrhea. First and definitely the LAST time I will be eating here.

I have been to this location several times and for the most part, the food is great, and the orders are usually accurate. Out of 5 orders, they made 2 mistakes. Not small mistakes, they gave me entirely different orders. As far as quality, it is not the most consistent. Sometimes the food is hot and fresh and sometimes it's very obvious that the chicken wasn't fried recently. It can be slightly soggy, which is frustrating because when the food is fresh, it's really good. They do like to skimp on the Dave's sauce though, which is frustrating because it's really good. If this place can improve on its consistency, it has the potential to be 4-5 stars.

Horrible service. Was so excited to have a Dave's hot chicken near by! I went by the drive thru today no one answered me. I kept saying hello hello hello I was there roughly 8 minutes until I decided to pull up to the window. I asked if their mics work she answered rudely "yes". They took forever to give me my card back I made a signal to them and asked if they've charged me yet employee said no so I asked for my card back and left. Staff was very rude and long line at the drive thru all while ignoring cars in the drive thru ! First and last time coming to this location.
