Dave's Hot Chicken

Food took a while to get, for it was a bit of a good thing cus that means it was fresh and cooked properly. We ordered #1 & #3, and both medium heat level, was not spicy as expected. If you like it hot, go for a hot 🔥 level. I wish i did. it reminded me of fried chicken in spicy old bay seasoning. Makes your fingers red. cashier spoke really low, making it annoying to place the order but she was nice. Place has limited seating. I went during the weekday around 2 pm, didn't know that soon school was going to be letting out, and teens were going to food the place. There were 9 teens taking up half of the seating (4 tables = 8 chairs) while only one was eating. Even after they finished eating, they were using it as a hangout, yelling and jumping all over the place. It was our first time there and may be our last. The taste was not all that to say "I've got to come again" and the environment was on the point of a problem starting because of the tightness of space and crowd.

The chicken is so good but that reaper is no joke to play with. I got 10 of them reaper hot chicken. I'm gonna have to finish each one day by day. My head feel like it's on fire. Good chicken though. Lol, Dave's Hot Chicken. Y'all did y'all thing, caught me by surprise.

Very nice and kind staff, and very clean place. Shoutout to MD for taking my order! He was very sweet and respectful, and made sure I had everything I needed. Would definitely come again. Food was a 10/10! :)

I appreciate the chicken actually being made from real chicken breast. It taste authentic , but the flavor was quite basic. I’ve had better . But still I will definitely eat here again. SB: our food was very cold when initially ordering it . , I believe the staff thought we were eating to-go and gave us an old platter which is not nice but They did fix the issue after I explained to them the food was cold. Staff was also apologetic

Drove from queens to Brooklyn. Ordered online. The order was ready when it said it would be. Service was good, friendly and asked if I needed any extra sauce. Food was deliciously seasoned, hot and fresh. Fries were seasoned really good.

I recently stumbled upon the new Dave's Hot Chicken location in Brooklyn, which opened about 3-4 months ago. Having previously enjoyed the location on 8th Ave in Manhattan, and given them a 5/5 stellar review, I was excited to try this one out. First off, the atmosphere here is fantastic—much better than the Manhattan location and very spacious with cool designs all over the walls. Parking was a bit challenging, but that's expected in New York City. The customer service was exceptional and really made the dining experience a 10/10. Moving onto the food, I ordered 2 sliders with fries at the hot spice level. The chicken was a bit dry for my liking at first, which was a disappointment. The fries were decent, but they seemed like they had been sitting out for a bit. Overall, the meal was good, but not as good as what I've had at the 8th Ave Manhattan location. Now, I also tried their milkshake for the first time and it was a big letdown. I opted for the strawberry flavor, but it was possibly the worst milkshake I've ever had. The first sip was like a sweet, artificial strawberry liquid that didn't sit well with me, and the aftertaste was unpleasant. When I opened the lid, it was clear that the shake hadn't been mixed properly. I ended up tossing it out and would rate it a 0/10. Next time, I'll go for the Oreo flavor! Overall, while the food here didn't quite match up to the Manhattan location, the atmosphere is much cooler and the service is outstanding. If you're looking for a great atmosphere and excellent service, this is the place to be. Dave's is always for the win.

I loved the food. The ordering experience was quick and simple. The cashiers at the time, Jeremy and Noel were amazing and helped clarify the menu. Would recommend to others. The Mac & Cheese with a mild number 4 is my personally favorite.

I assumed it would be like other "spicy" chicken places that fall short, but this was the real deal. Even the cashier warned me to get a drink, but I figured the juiciness of the chicken, pickles, and coleslaw would balance the heat. Big mistake! The spice overpowered everything, and water only made it worse. I had to grab a $4 slushy to cool down since they didn't have milkshakes. Next time, I'll come more prepared! The sandwich itself was still flavorful despite the intense heat. The chicken was crispy and well-seasoned. While the Reaper might be too much for casual spice lovers, they offer milder heat levels for anyone wanting a less fiery experience. The vibe inside was fun and energetic, with classic Motown and funk music playing, adding a retro feel. I even got a scratch-off ticket with my meal, which was a cool and unexpected touch. The place was relatively clean, though it was busy with school kids and a few people seeking shelter from the rain. Overall, Dave's Hot Chicken delivers on its promise of authentic, mouth-scorching heat. I'd give this location five stars for flavor, spice authenticity, and a lively atmosphere. Just be ready if you dare to try the Reaper! I ordered delivery here from the Grubhub app last night. I live in Queens yet this location came up as an option for food delivery. I put in my order as I have with many other restaurants and instead of actually delivering my food to the correct place, the "courier" Ishiamel decides to drop it off on a random sidewalk. Who would do this or remotely find it acceptable? He could have opted NOT to take the delivery instead of being upset at my refusal to be extorted for both pricey service fees that allegedly go to his earning fair wages and still being expected to pay a 20% tip. Not cool and no way would I trust delivery from them. You have been warned.

I order the Dave#3 which was very fresh and season to perfection. My tender was huge and well seasoned on a bread. The Dave sauce is highly recommended. Wasn't Adam of the fries wasn't crispy enough. Overall I had a delicious fulfilling meal. Service was outstanding. Very clean and spacious franchise with few indoor seats and tables.

I have to say, I don't think I rake spice that well, but I am asian. I thought Medium had no spice at all and extra hot was pretty hot but I enjoyed it. I got the tender and slider combo which felt like a lot of food for me, and the dave's sauce is good!! The location doesn't seem too crazy so I like it. Would try again!

This chicken spot is so cute. The food is spicy af but delicious. The staff there are super sweet. One of them even gave me a free chicken squeak doll. Staff are super friendly

The restaurant is vibrant, colorful, and the cashier was friendly. Ordered the 2 slider meal, one hot one mild. It was absolutely delicious, the heat on the "hot" was just right for me. The fries were crisped and seasoned perfectly.

My 1st time trying Dave's hot chicken & it's sooo good!! I got the tender & slider meal w cheese fries & my husband got the 2 slider meal w Mac & cheese & everything was so delicious, although my husband didn't like the sauce I did!! & we also got these Minute Maid slushy drink which were a little sour they were good. The only complaint I have is that I ordered my food for pickup online, it told me 10 minutes & I was already driving from somewhere 25 minutes away (that gave them and extra 15 minutes) & when we got there it took them an extra 10 minutes for our food to be ready. But everything else was great! Will be going to Dave's hot chicken again!

The space is beautiful!!! The art adorned on the walls is amazing! The customer service is excellent! A complete vibe! I ordered for pick up because I thought the line was going to be longgg but it wasn't! Tasty food!!!

It's a calm chicken spot non to crazy, service was Mid, would recommend for anyone looking for quick and easy service, almost forgot the milk shakes 10/10.

Tito needs to get a promotion he's the man for hooking it up. We were trying to sign up for the app to get a free shake and it turns out the promotion stopped, but he decided to give it to us on the house anyways. The service and customer care was on point. The food was delicious

I saw the balloons outside, which caught my attention and made me come in to see what type of chicken they have. It was tasty and juicy and you get to select your level of spice. The fries were crispy and seasoned very well

This location is amazing and Jessica is the sweetest! She was great with helping me decide what I was ordering. Definitely coming back!

The service was amazing, however i took the food as takeout but when i got home and settled in to eat my food the chicken lacked taste and seasoning. It tasted as if the oil needed to be changed. Their mac and cheese looks similar to popeyes or chic fil a, so i had hope, again however it was nasty very oily and tastes as if they used the same oil as the chicken. I would say save your money (order for two was $30), even if the restaurant has a nice ambiance for some pictures.

I'm sorry but if you want the best chicken on or around Fulton go to Dave's ! None of that ooo but nothingggg this is it by a long shot incredible the staff the food A++
