"Dave’s Hot Chicken, which gained fame in Los Angeles for its interpretation of Nashville’s wildly-popular style, landed in Pacific Beach in May and has been rapidly expanding to cities across the country, from Vegas to Chicago. With several well-known celebrities as investors, the fast-casual chain, which originated in East Hollywood, serves a straightforward menu of fried chicken tenders and sliders that can be spiced with varying levels of heat. Local franchisees Andrew Feghali and Lawrence Joseph Kourie brought Dave’s Hot Chicken to San Diego and plan to open a dozen locations in the area. Next up for the partners is an outpost in Mira Mesa, where it will replace Daphne’s California Greek in the Mira Mesa Market Center on Westview Parkway. The eatery is also going into a new space in Fletcher Plaza in El Cajon near The Home Depot. The company tells Eater that both spots are slated for early 2021 openings." - Candice Woo

We're always fans of Dave’s, and this visit was no exception! We had their Dave’s hot chicken sliders, chicken tenders, and tried the new menu item, loaded fries and bites. The food was fantastic as always, but those loaded fries and bites were a standout- we couldn’t resist ordering another round! The service was top-notch, as it always is at Dave’s. Sitting outside, enjoying the gentle breeze, chatting with friends, and having the best chicken tenders in the USA made it an incredible experience. Can't wait to go back for more!

Always the kindest employees! I go here sometimes once a week. Maricris is always the one to take my order and everything is always accurate. I get extra hot and it’s perfect spice for me. I have a high tolerance for spice, I’ve heard from others that it’s a bit too spicy for them, but I love it! Thankfully they also have choices for no spice. One of my favorite foods and hangout spots.

Let me start by saying I was really looking forward to trying this restaurant as I am from out of town and this would be my first time. The chicken lacked flavor this includes the Mac and cheese. The milk shake was immediately melted I don’t know if they used to much milk??? Or what. I am extremely disappointed and a terrible last meal in California. Do not recommend.

Every other chicken place is a ripoff compared to this decadence and flavor. I'm just a guy, living in a van. I eat out a lot, easier than cooking in the van. Out of all the places I go this is easily the highest quality and best deal. Yeah I paid $15 for the two sliders, but it's two very high quality meals in one. Extremely tasty stuff, and I swear this is a real review from a real dude, might even call me a spicy chicken connoisseur.

I had a wonderful experience on my first time coming to Dave's. Blake G helped me figure everything out and what a good job he did. Went far out of his way to accommodate me. The food was finger licking delicious. I will definitely be coming back with my group of friends.

Excellent food - coming from a Southerner who really misses good fried chicken! The buns could be better than dollar store buns but everything else tastes good. The staff seemed to be having a good time and they were kind and hospitable. I’m glad they were willing to take my order at the counter because I don’t like the screens all that much. It takes awhile to get food since it’s made fresh and there seems to be a lot of online orders. I wish the seating area was larger or at least there was more shade in the outdoor seating area. Also, the bathroom is accessible but I don’t think the seating is wheelchair accessible for some wheelchairs because the space is so small. Parking is free and shared with other businesses. I haven’t had trouble finding parking here.

Dave's provides my spicy chicken sandwich fix. The competition does not compare. The customer service is fantastic also as I order on Grubhub app the guys are always so accommodating to my orders when I tell them I'm not delivering to someone and that it's my food!
