Dave's Hot Chicken

The service here was good. The cashiers were patient and kind. Decided to stop & eat here as I was visiting ATL. The food is cooked to order so everything was fresh & well seasoned. I enjoyed my food. I would go here again. I got the #3 in hot flavor & my partner got the loaded fries medium. Not much seating options but that’s ok.

This place is just as good as you see in the videos online. Don't be afraid to experiment with combining the chicken with the pickles, honey, and Dave's sauce, I have never taken a bite of Dave's chicken and not thought that it was a 10 out of 10 meal. It is 100 percent worth the price.

1st time visiting the highly recommended and viral Dave's Hot Chicken. Approaching Dave's you can definitely see the patrons vibing as all the outside seating was filled with happy folks eating dinner. And my anticipation growing. When I walked in I was approximately 6th or so in line. The line took some time but when I reach the register to order the person was friendly and happy to explain the menu to me. Ordered a #1 with one tender Lite Mild heat level and the other tender Mild heat level which includes fries and 1 Dave's Sauce. AND a 10 piece Dave's Bites with a Medium heat level with Dave's Sauce. The Mild and Medium heat level chicken had the better flavors and tastes with and without the Dave's Sauce. Plus their fries and pickles were delicious. Do they live up to the hype... I'd say so.

I have never wrote a review so fast or same day and I’m so happy that I can finally not say that anymore. THIS DAVES CHICKEN LOCATION NEEDS AN AWARD! 🥇 idk if I chose the right late night vibe at 10pm but mannnnn everything was on point. Shoutout to Jeffrey(I suck at names so sorry if I messed it up) and the crew for the vibes. From me traveling all day and just wanting some hot food, being from NYC you guys got us beat on this one. Theres no way the food was cooked to perfection! : hot and fresh! Flavor was good and service was good. The wait was well worth it! The fries with a side of the Dave sauce? WOW ! Kale salad was going crazy on the slider. Copy my order: #4 slider (or two sliders cause I should have ordered #2 foreal) w/fries and the strawberry lemonade. Mannnnnnn!!! I just can’t believe it. I’m tight I can’t have another bite. Whoever the crew was tonight mannnnn that don’t make no sense. EXCELLENT KEEP IT UP. Energy don’t lie and it was all in that food.

First time ever eating at Dave's Hot Chicken! I've got to say this was a super exciting experience I was looking forward to and the vibe was great, I loved the decor, menu options, and the staff was so friendly and hard working to please all the guests. Most importantly, the Food was excellent! I took the challenge and went for the Reaper spiced hot chicken sandwich. It is absolutely no joke and not for the faint of heart - coming from someone with experience with hot challenges and high level heat experience. This is not a gimmick, no holding back; I had to sign a release form and was given a warning and recommended a milkshake pairing. The heat on this thing hits quickly, and I had to take a few breaks as I started sweating, watery eyes and nose, a d very quickly my entire torso was burning; Excellent!!! Beyond that the fries are amazing, crisp and nice seasoning and the Dave's sauce is delicious. The pickles are nice as well. I'm definitely going back this week and look forward to trying more flavors and menu options Enjoy!!!

Their seasoning is extremely salty and their extra hot is not hot if you’re Asian and grew up eating spicy foods. However, I wouldn’t try the reaper due to my acid reflux.

I love Dave’s hot chicken this place is really good most of the time. Sometimes there’s a line but usually it’s quick and easy service bc I come over from the FedEx on lunch breaks. The other day I got a strawberry shake with my meal and it wasn’t really strawberryin’ lol mostly vanilla ice cream but I’m not too upset (really only posting to encourage consistent quality), I ate it anyways cuz it tasted very good anyways. The team here is very nice.

I saw this restaurant advertised on FB and wanted to try it out, but totally forgot about it until today. I went to Trader Joe's in Sandy Springs and happened to see that the old Mexican spot was transformed into Dave's Hot Chicken and the line was out the door. I decided to check it out and stop there for lunch. First of all, it's a Black owned business, so that's extra special to me, because I love supporting my Black owned businesses. I'm also excited that it's close to my home. Secondly, the staff were super friendly and said they've only been at that location for 1 month, but they have one in Conyers that's owned by Usher (fun fact), and also have a location in Savannah. I found out that this is a West Coast restaurant, so welcome to the ATL!! The wait was a little long, but that is to be expected, because they were super busy. I'm happy to know that they are open everyday from 11am - 11pm, so this will be a go to eatery for a late night snack. I want to give a special shout out to one of their employees, JOYCE. She was super friendly and when she walked by my table I just asked her will it always be a long wait, because I know they are cooking fresh to order, and she went out of her way to check on my food and bring it to me even though she was on break. I didn't want her to do that, but she insisted. She went above and beyond and provided me with a awesome dining experience. She deserves kudos for that! When I finally received my food...OMG! It didn't disappoint and it was worth the wait. The chicken was so juicy and moist and flavorful. I got the medium spice and it was just the right amount of heat, but you can get it spicier if you like. Everything was hot and fresh and the chicken is lightly breaded heavily dusted in spices. Welcome to the neighborhood, Dave's Hot Chicken! I'll definitely be back!

Worth every bit of the hour drive. Highly recommend. My dave bites were good, I got the honey hot on the side, not really a fan but that's my personal opinion. The manager is also very efficient with checking on customers.

Ordered takeout and was impressed! The food was well-seasoned and tasted really good. The chicken was cooked just right and the fries were perfectly crisp. The restaurant was steady with customers when I walked in, and my food was ready when I arrived! We'll definitely be back to try more.

Food was pretty good. I had it for the first time. Got 2 tender sandwich combo with a shake. The food was good, the shake was watery and melted so that was disappointing. The service also wasn't very good. UPDATE: I was sent this message after describing my entire experience. Nice I suppose, but they could have kept that. Will not return.

Got to try Dave's Hot Chicken when they were giving out free sliders for Drake Day - I enjoyed mine! It would've been $6.99 for this slider, which is a bit steep, as it's no bigger than a Chick Fil A sized sandwich, maybe even a hair smaller. Despite how expensive it normally would've been, it was definitely very tasty! I got medium spice which was perfect - just the right amount of kick and it was seasoned all over. Coleslaw that's in the sandwich is pretty standard, nothing special. I would be interested in checking out some other menu items, but it is a bit expensive for what it is Parking here is free but it can get a bit crowded

Food I like how simple their menu is. It's easy and straight to the point. I get the Dave's #3 so I could try a tender and a slider both in extra hot. It has good amount of heat. The tender is a decent size and has slaw, pickles, and sauce. The fries are well fried and go well with their sauce. Service Kind people with a welcoming presence Ambiance Small shop with some seating inside. Super casual

So if you want a hot chicken spot, this would be a place to check out. It's not super fancy. As far as the menu being expensive, it's pretty basic. You get sliders or strips. I sent a shopping center so there's free parking. There's a lot of parking as well but sometimes it does get crowded. You order your food at the register and then they'll give you a device that lets you know when your food is ready. The last time I went it took at least 15 to 20 minutes to get my sliders. I don't know what was going on or why it took so long, but it was really strange the fact that sliders and fries took that long. Two slider combo (hot) - The slider and fries were pretty good. The sliders meat was basically chicken tenders which didn't even fit in the bun l So you really had to go ahead and break some of it off to make it fit. But that's okay, I'd rather have more tender than less. My hot was good. It wasn't too overbearing and it did give you a little slight sniffle but nothing crazy. It came with fries which came hot in season. It also came with Dave's sauce. I'm not sure what it was but it had a little sweetness to it. Mac and cheese - The mac and cheese was okay. It wasn't like your auntie making it obviously LOL. But it was hot and creamy and had a pretty decent taste. I'll go back again. It's kind of like you get what you get. It's only tenders and tender sandwiches. But if you do like hot chicken, and you're in the area, it will be worth it.

I've been on a hot chicken sandwich kick for years now and had to hit Dave's. Tennille helped us and she was absolutely a gem. She broke down the menu and was so incredibly friendly. Greeting everyone who came in and truly went above and beyond. She handled everything with care, attention to detail, and her personality just radiates. They do something different at this location because there was also another gentleman I interacted with and he was so sweet as well. The difference in service at this location vs the one in Buford is night and day difference. Food took a bit to come out but we were warned (appreciated that)and it was nice and hot. There is some seating inside but be warned the sun can beam straight onto your face.

Friends wanted to try this spot as it's fairly new. And the crowd there definitely signified that this place is worth a try around lunch time on a nice, humid Saturday. The hubs ordered the hottest flavor (reaper), and he said the employees gave him a shocked look. I don't think a lot of people order this I suppose. He had to sign a waiver too. He was toughing through it while we were eating. And the aftermath with the digestion part was interesting. Let me just say that's what he told me. Both parts of the experience was painful. Let's just put it at that. We weren't super hungry after pickle ball so we shared Dave's # 2 which is two sliders with fries. Surprisingly we were able to each choose a different spice level. My choice of the medium was perfect. I'm a wuss with spice, and medium wasn't even that noticeable. Most of the group ordered the hot and extra hot level, and they enjoyed their sandwich enough. Though they were called sliders, they were a pretty sizable portion. Because when you think of sliders, you'd imagine something small and could be inhaled in like 3 bites. The chicken piece was juicy and plump. I really enjoy the flavors and all its messiness. The pickles were a nice plus on the side! Even a family nearby commented about the size of the sandwich so it's not really a slider portion but closer to a sandwich size that's just a smidge smaller. The fries were surprisingly crispy and full of flavor. Dipping it in Dave's sauce made it even better. Now I'm particular about my fries. And when I see crinkle fries, I always think it'd be soggy or lackluster in flavor. These were not such. They were crunchy with a kick of flavor with its seasoning. They were well flavored and delightful as fries should be!

For Drake's birthday event, they were giving away a free chicken slider if you downloaded the app. I gotta say that the entire was fairly well organized. There was someone monitoring the line and had people waiting outside. It was also an easy event to do - just download their app and check out ur rewards coupon for it. When I called ahead to make sure they had stock, they actually picked up and told me the same thing. The food was pretty good! I got level hot for a chicken slider but it still wasn't spicy tbh. The honey and hot Dave sauce combo on the slider made it much more flavorful. The chunk of chicken was a generous portion. On their walls, it says if you leave a google or yelp review, you're eligible for a free milkshake.

This weeks adventure was a calorie bomb. We decided to try Dave's hot chicken. This is a no frills - fried stuff only place. Don't come here if you're watching your waistline or looking for a salad. I ordered the #3 with fries with medium heat. The fries were excellent; the medium wasn't very spicy and the spice was more of a dry rub than a wet sauce. I'm Also told that the chicken is Halal certified if that's important for you. There is some seating along a narrow hallway; nothing seats more than 2 people. They also have outdoor options if you don't mind the Atlanta heat. Consensus: I'd come again. Next time, I'd opt for more heat on the slider.

Keeping this short and real--I've been on a chicken tender kick lately, trying out all the hot chicken and tender spots I can find. Dave's Hot Chicken has been all over the internet, so I had to see what the hype was about. Unfortunately, it didn't live up to it for me. Just two days earlier, I had Raising Cane's and the food was served piping hot and super fresh. In comparison, Dave's chicken wasn't fresh at all--it had a gummy texture, and the flavor just didn't hit. I barely tasted any seasoning, unless that slightly burnt cayenne flavor was supposed to be it. The chicken was okay overall, but I'm clearly not a fan of their seasoning blend. The mac was decent, and the fries were your standard crinkle cuts--nothing special. Also, for a place that specializes in spicy tenders, offering only honey mustard instead of a zesty ranch or something complementary? That's definitely a missed opportunity. If you're curious, give them a try--they're popular for a reason. But personally, it just wasn't for me.

It was slammed when we came here but have to credit the crew with keeping things moving, and we got our food in a reasonable time especially considering the crowd. The inside has very limited seating, nothing for parties of more than 2, and there is some street-style art on the wall for flair. There are some tables outside which can hold larger groups. Food was disappointing, and a little pricey for what it is. My first issue is there's no blue cheese or ranch dressing, only Dave's sauce, which a mayo based sweetish sauce that was ok but I do think compliments spicy chicken. I tried the extra hot and reaper tenders. The extra hot was good, the reaper was really hot, which is what I expected, but also just tasted bad for some reason. They make you sign a waiver to get the reaper, which I think is overkill for its heat level, but it also had really odd taste that I would not recommend at all. Fries were fine; Oreo topped milkshake was good (they give a generous heaping of topping). Overall happy I tried it, but not sure I'll be going back.

Finally got to try Dave's hot chicken. My daughter found it on TikTok. We placed our order online. One tender lite mild, one slider mild, fries and Mac n cheese. I walked in and was immediately greeted. Our order was ready so I grabbed our drinks and walked back to the truck. Everything inside looked clean and tidy. First off, the tender was huge compared to any other tender places I've been too. The seasoning kinda scared me at first, it was very heavily coated in a red orange powder. The chicken was right out of the fryer so it was temp hot too. The flavor this mild tender had was unreal. It was a flavor bomb in my mouth. I did need a few extra napkins for just the seasoning, but it was well worth it. The slider had the same size tender but in a sm size hamburger bun. Cole slaw added a crunch and the thick pickles were so yummy. Both my daughter and I enjoyed our lunch for sure. Fries were seasoned well and the Mac was really tasty too. We will def be back for more Dave's. Might even try the medium next time.

There's a lot of chicken places in Atlanta but this one is on a new level! I decided to try a new lunch spot and man I wasn't disappointed at all! It's a simple chicken spot that don't over think stuff and their menu is straight to the point. Only 3 sauces: Dave's Sauce, Ketchup, and honey. Decent prices and 10/10 flavor. This location is in a busy spot (parking can be tricky) and if you're on a time crunch I'd suggest you order ahead. Small shop but a lot of seating outside. Great customer service. Now let's get to the food. I ordered 2 things: Dave's #1 (2 hot tenders with fries) and Dave's 4 mini sliders (medium) The mini sliders were wonderful! Soft bread and the slaw on the sandwich was perfect. Crispy fries and that Dave's sauce is one of the BEST chicken sauces I've had in a while. The hot tenders were juicy, great sizes for the price and crunchy to my liking. The seasoning was hot but delicious with every bite. The sauce was so good I wish I grabbed more! Will I be back? For sure!

I wanted to switch it up, so I tried the regular sized Top Loaded Fries. It came with cheese fries, pickles, a little kale salad, and six Dave's bites all drizzled with Dave's sauce. It was a solid portion for one. A bit on the salty side, not sure if it was the pickles or the bites, but overall, it actually worked. Next time, I might go for just the cheese fries with kale salad and cut up a regular tender instead. I'll keep yall posted, lol.

TLDR: Good service, solid food, tight seating area. Came on a Saturday afternoon. There's were 6 or so parties waiting for food, mostly to go. I was able to order quickly and get a buzzer for dining in. I scouted for seats but there wasn't a large enough space for our group of five indoors. The outdoors is covered and had an overhead fan but would be difficult to bear in the heart of a GA summer. The food came relatively quickly but was bagged to go so not much difference from taking out. I had a hot slider and an extra hot tender. I'm not sure if it was mixed up (got the tender from a friend) but the extra hot tasted slightly less spicy. Not a noticable difference though. I also took a bite of my friend's reaper tender. That one was noticeable source, which is probably he had to sign a disclosure. The slider had slaw and Dave's sauce on it so it helped with cooling a bit. The fries were seasoned and crunchy. It also came with pickles on the side an Dave's sauce. Overall, it was a good meal but comes down to preference if hot chicken restaurant seasonings. I'd probably choose a different one but satisfied with this meal.

First time I tried Dave's was in CO and was glad to see one in GA! It's located in the same complex as Trader Joe's but parking can be hard to find since it's such a busy complex! Upon entering, we were greeted by friendly staff that helped us with ordering. I decided to go with the #3 but should have stuck with just the slider since it was so filling! It was super busy when we went but got our order within 10min. We were lucky to find a table since it was so packed and there wasn't a lot of seating. The taste of the chicken was absolutely delicious and paired well with their sauce. Even though the slider looked small, it was super filling and could barely finish the tender on the side. The fries were also seasoned so well which I liked. Definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a good hot chicken meal and can't wait to come back and try their milkshakes next!

Limited seating at this location. No paper towel in the bathroom had to wipe my hands on napkins. Service was great. They were patient and even helped me carry my food to the table. The portion size was great for the price. A slider was the same size as a chick-fil-a sandwich. I thought it was a good deal. However I would say the flavor was kind of bland. It just tasted like hot chicken. Although it could have used a tad bit more seasoning. Mac and cheese was basic. Similar to the Mac and cheese that you would get at kfc. Fries were hot when I sat down then lukewarm and flimsy. Would return though.

I came here for lunch on a Friday and have also mobile ordered here before. The place is fairly small but they do have seating inside and outside. Since the location is fairly new the lines to order can be pretty long on Friday evenings and weekends so I would advise to order ahead. We decided to order the combo with a slider and 2 tenders which FYI the chicken fingers are big and the slider is a whole sandwich so unless you're really hungry or want leftovers it's honestly too much food for one sitting. We ordered them medium and with fries and it was delicious! One of the workers recommended medium as it was the most flavorful and we weren't trying to die from spice. The fries are well seasoned and they give you Dave's sauce which is like a thousand island type of sauce kinda like canes I guess. Overall the customer service is great and they are very thorough if it is your first time and will explain how everything works and spice levels. I'll definitely be back soon.

My daughter was so excited to check this place out this past weekend. I was surprised more people weren't there when they opened at 11am but it was great to not have to wait in line. This is a small restaurant where you walk in and order then go wait outside for your food. you can eat outside or take it with. We tried the 4 sliders with fries and Mac and Cheese. The sliders were like the Chick Fil A Chicken minis so don't share cause you will be hungry after like we were lol. We had to order some tenders to feel full and we got the Kale slaw with it. The service is great, food is good but it's a bit pricey in my opinion. It's just the times we are in. We will be back for sure!

Terrible. The service was awful, waited 35 minutes for a sandwich and bites, they were soggy and not great tasting, really don't understand the hype very very overrated. I would never go back.

Slow, rude service and charging people for water cups. Said they don't do water cups... we don't drink soda, & this is a how chicken place- just strange. I'm not paying $2.50 for a soda just to get water. Went next door and got water cups. I likely won't come here again as the experience wasn't great. It took about 25 minutes to get our food, so I wouldn't say it's a quick food spot.

The sliders are small, so they're not great if you're hungry (Great for children). Hattie B's is better than Dave's Hot Chicken. Add honey and extra pickles to the chicken for free if you go. If you ever see a Dave's Hot Chicken and want to try it because it's new and a little different than all the other chicken places around. DO. NOT. DO. IT. You will find yourself standing around for over a hour waiting on your food that ends up mediocre at best.

Wow! Finally got to try Dave's Hot Chicken and I definitely see what the hype is about! I'm not a big fan of spicy foods, so I got my #3 Combo with Light Mild seasoning. So so flavorful and the fries were also amazing! Food does take a while but so worth it! Come here asap!

Tennille was kind, welcoming and efficient. She was sure to ask about add-ons, I almost forgot to add cheese but thanks to her, I'll be sure to enjoy every bite!

Been seeing the advertisements and decided to go. Roswell Rd was a somewhat convenient location, so that's where we went - on a Saturday night around 9pm. Ordered the #3 in mild since we've never been before. Staff was extremely friendly. The place was packed and it's small. We took the buzzer and waited in the car because there's insufficient lobby space. Our order (2 combos) took 45 minutes! Food was fair but not worth the wait. It was somewhat salty but not flavorful. I guess I thought it would have some sauce to it, but it was all dry rub. The complimentary sauce tastes like Thousand Island mixed with mayo (not good). Won't return.

This was great fast casual joint. Very upbeat and has an outdoor patio. The food was better than expected so if you want something quick but not cliche fast food, this is the spot for you.

Honestly was surprised to see a 3.3 star average. I might not be sprinting back to Dave's, but I enjoyed it. The style is closer to Nashville Hot, with a very spicy oily bite. I got two sliders, fries, and an extra kale slaw. Sliders are about 2/3rds the size of a normal sandwich, I didn't feel like I got a light portion. The kale slaw on the other hand was only filled about half way. For 4 dollars, I felt ripped off. Their site says it's a 6 ounce portion, but I'd be surprised if I got 3. I got medium tenders which were spicy, made me sweat a bit, but were not unbearably spicy. For 22 dollars without a tip (I also had a fountain drink), it's not cheap. For what it is, you're 100% paying for the hype here but I think this place has merit.

Horrible!!! I ordered a 10 piece bites and received 5 pieces. Took it back and asked for a refund. No apology or concern with my experience. Gave me my money back and didn't say one word. Eat there at your own risk. Sorry customer service.

Fantastic food and service! The staff put in great effort and are all very happy to help! We went to the grand opening and the line was huge but everyone was having fun with a DJ there and a Photo Booth too. Food has a few spice levels to choose from and we got an order of the reaper to try in addition to our food and it was a blast to see everyone react!

The store was very nice bright & clean..the employees were super friendly. The food was so super yummy..I ordered "Hot" and that's very spicy!!..Reaper Flavor will end your taste buds..

August 12, 2025 I visited Dave's hot chicken in Sandy Springs for lunch. I ordered a #1 meal and a drink which totaled $16.30. I gave the cashier a $20.00 bill and while she was digging in the register she told me she had NO CHANGE. I responded with "Well charge me $16.00 and we won't need change" !! I explained to this young that the CUSTOMER doesn't suffer from the stores neglect to properly keep cash on hand to make change. She said she couldn't do that !! POOR management !! I took my $20.00 and went to City BBQ where they have change !! City BBQ was good too !!

First I would like to state that I'm a big fan of Hot Chicken and was very excited to see a Dave's opening up in Sandy Springs. Went there on opening day , there was a line but nothing too bad. I ordered the 1 chicken tender slider in hot and one tender in reaper along with fried and a regular size drink. The hot tender was alright, nothing stood out. The reaper tender which they make you sign a waiver for was wayyyyyyy tooooo overly spiced up with reaper powder. I get it's suppose to be spicy but a layer about paper thick is not ideal. The regular drink was smaller than other establishments regular, looked tiny. I also find this place a little more in the expensive side being it's just chicken tenders and nuggets.

Daves hot chicken is so good. The workers are so nice and have amazing fast! THE HONEY IS YUMMERS! The vibe is so hype.

Service was very good and quick but my god, the spice is unbearable. You're not supposed to be punishing the customer for ordering any of the hot options. Its not the good kind of spice, its just pure, painful capsaicin. Why anyone would want this ordeal is beyond me. Besides that, the fries and sauce were fine I guess.

This place is amazing! I was so excited to hear they would be in a place close to me. The first person I came in contact with was amazing. Friendly, kind, sweet, and knowledgeable. She smiled and was so excited to explain anything I needed. Her name is Tineal. I assumed this was an owner or manager the way she is anytime I see her when I come in. I have come here every weekend since I found out they were in Sandy Springs. The staff is always nice. The store is clean and the food has been consistent, hot, and fresh every time I come.
