Food was delicious! The Lamb was the best I've ever had Olivier and staff are great!

I had no idea when I was planning our visit that we'd have *two* fantastic meals I felt worthy of at least one Michelin star! Serendipitous to say the least. Again, our meals were like eating fine art - every plate was gorgeous and it took everything we had not to inhale but slow down and savor the incredible flavors. The meal started with an amuse-bouche consisting of a sushi bite, one I can't remember, and a delicious gougère. For starters, my husband had the stuffed courgette flower surrounded by an unctuous seafood bisque - the bisque was utterly amazing. I had the goat cheese salad, a riot of color and taste. My husband had the John Dory nightly special for his main, while I had the most perfectly cooked lamb with an apricot compote. Desserts were a trio of chocolate confections (husband) and a scrumptious pavlova (me). And as a special surprise, they brought out a plate with "Happy Anniversary" written in chocolate, with a chocolate raspberry truffle and a mini lemon tart. The lemon flavor was to die for! Our server was very correct and knowledgeable, but the real delight was the assistant server - I wish I'd asked her name. She graciously allowed me to speak French with her (she's from Montpellier) and we had such a great time chatting I was afraid I'd get her in trouble for neglecting her other duties. She was the true gem of the place. The restaurant is cozy and intimate, and it was completely packed. I wholeheartedly recommend booking a table!

Stunning restaurant. Group Christmas lunch but you wouldn’t know it from the quality of the food. Great selection and large generous portions. Excellent Christmas cheer atmosphere and superb service. Highly recommend.

It’s a regular dining spot for us predominantly for the atmosphere and superb food. The team at Dax are always attentive and tuned in to the customers needs. Graham’s creative culinary delights from the kitchen are always superb. And there is never a shortage of delightful wines at whatever price point you choose. Highly recommend for a special occasion or a leisurely lunch.

My partner and I came here one week ago to celebrate our anniversary and we were truly spoiled! The dinner menu had a very creative and (most importantly) delicious range of dishes. The ambience is nice and cozy (despite not having a view as the windows were hidden by long curtains), and I would overall recommend this place for a special occasion!

Every element of the dish was executed with precision, resulting in a symphony of flavors that danced on my palate. To accompany my meal, I chose a white wine recommended by the knowledgeable staff. Their expertise added an extra layer of enjoyment to the dining experience, ensuring that each sip perfectly complemented the flavors of the food. However, what truly set Restaurant Dax apart was the exceptional service. My experience at Dax was nothing short of extraordinary. From the delectable cuisine to the serene atmosphere and impeccable service, every aspect exceeded my expectations. Had the most fabulous meal at Dax with 5 friends, everyone of us thought the menu was great. Outstanding service really did make our whole experience fabulous, will definitely definitely definitely return next time I'm in Dublin 👌
