Daygos San Diego Taco Shop

If you have a chance to visit Daygos taco shop, you won’t be disappointed! I was craving a burrito and the reviews on this place were exceptional! I ordered online through GrubHub, and when I arrived at the shop, the owner informed me that they were sold out. As unfortunate as it was, the owner was so kind and demonstrated impeccable customer service by offering me the rolled tacos on the house. They were so delicious! I am certainly going to go back and get that burrito. Phone did not eat first but this was a 10/10 experience!

Being Mexican and having lived in San Diego, this felt like my home away from home. The surrounding area and authentic food made the experience perfect. We had the friendliest service from the owner himself; Dre was so attentive and kind to me and all my friends. The Daygo fries were delicious, super filling, and great to share. We are definitely planning our return to try more. Do yourself a favor and visit San Diego/Mexico right here in Austin!!

Tried out Daygos and even though the menu was a bit limited when I went, the taquitos I had were 🔥 — packed with flavor and really hit the spot. Can’t wait to come back and try the asada fries! Great location and the service was on point — super cool guy running the truck. Definitely a solid spot for some San Diego-style Mexican food!

This hidden gem brings the bold, vibrant flavors of true Mexican street food straight to the heart of San Diego in Texas, and it does not disappoint. From the first bite, you can tell this place is the real deal. Their tacos are perfectly seasoned, the carne asada is grilled to perfection, and the orange sauce is Chef’s kiss. Every dish tastes like it was made with love and tradition. The portions are generous, the ingredients are fresh, and the menu has something for everyone—from classics like burritos and carne asada fries.

Daygos San Diego Taco Shop is an absolute gem for anyone craving authentic SoCal classics, especially for us San Diegans missing a taste of home. From the moment we were greeted by Dre, the friendly owner, we knew we were in for a treat. The rolled tacos and carne asada fries were a trip down memory lane, and the California burrito? Perfection in every bite—loaded with french fries, carne asada, and guac, just like home. Bonus points for its spot behind the charming wine bar RSRV, where we paired our meal with a few glasses of wine. Honestly, this might be the most lux way I’ve ever enjoyed a California burrito. Can’t wait to come back!

These were the best street tacos I’ve ever had! The meat was so juicy and full of flavor, and the toppings were super fresh. The tortillas were soft and tasted homemade. The salsa was amazing too—just the right amount of spice. I can’t wait to come back!

Incredible food and incredible hospitality. He made us feel like celebrities and the California Burrito was even better than we’d imagine. We will be back ❤️

Hands down these may be the best tacos I've had in Austin. Quick, fresh, flavorful and the salsa is good too! My go-to is the Tijuana tacos but am looking forward to trying the carne asada fries next time I come out! Highly recommend and goes great with a glass of wine!
