"One of the meanings of ‘nôl’ is a contraction of ‘new normal’. Tatsuya Noda’s dream is to care for people and the environment while pursuing a new standard for the future. Perhaps that is why he refers to the dining room as a ‘kitchen space’. Taking cues from his childhood, such as his grandmother’s pickles and his mother’s roasted rice, he interweaves the food cultures of France and Japan. Meals conclude with vegetable soup to settle the stomach—a fun novelty that won’t be forgotten." - Michelin Inspector

My stay at DDD Hotel in Tokyo was a refreshing experience! The hotel perfectly blends modern design with Japanese minimalism. If you’re into clean aesthetics and calm spaces, this is the place for you.The location is great—quiet, yet super convenient. It’s just a short walk to Bakuroyokoyama Station, so getting around the city was a breeze. The neighborhood feels local and peaceful, which I really appreciated after a busy day exploring Tokyo. The room was compact (as expected in Tokyo), but smartly designed. Everything was spotlessly clean, the bed was super comfy, and the vibe of the entire space was calming and stylish. I loved the muted tones and thoughtful layout.

Really clean and minimalistic hotel. There's not much in the area but overall it's a comfortable stay with everything you need. You can't expect spacious rooms in Tokyo so it's not surprising, but I just need a little bit of space so I can open my suitcase on the floor which you can't do in the minimal double room. If you go ahead knowing this already it's a perfect affordable stay but if you don't know it's frustrating.

Pros: The room was spacious enough for us. The beds were pretty comfy and had outlets in the bed. The shower was pretty big and had plenty of pressure. The amenities were great as well! They had a kettle, different types of tea, mini chocolates, plates, cups, and more as you get off the elevator to your room. Cons: The kettle we got seemed dirty, so we never used ours.

This hotel is simply amazing. The regular rooms are quite small, but that is only comparing to North American standards. Based on NY and Paris hotels, this is a comfortable stay for a couple. This hotel also has a great bathroom when comparing to other big name chains in Japan. Location is quiet with easy train access nearby. Easy to get to when we arrived at Ueno Station, from Narita Airport. The café lounge is top notch, and the ground floor restaurant has a Michelin star. High standards at competitive pricing.

Beautiful, artisanal hotel with great services and amenities. The room is larger than others. The price is higher than others, but it's easy to understand why. A very calm/quiet but well connected location. 15 minute walk to Akihabara (but without the noise and tourists). 20 minute bus to Asakusa. 20 minutes to Ueno. 2 stops on the metro to Tokyo station. I recommend the breakfast if you're hungry - it comes with delicious teas and coffee. I also recommend the toilettries. They're very good quality. Highly recommend.

Wonderful stay, wonderful staff, immaculate room, great coffee. One thing I’d complain is the water pressure, thank you so much for making my trip extra enjoyable.

The room is very clean, and the location was convenient. Although the room was small, I'll still give it great review. Thanks

Nice location, walking distance from many interesting things and not far from the main train station and imperial palace. Still the area is not crowded and less chaotic than other parts of Tokyo. The rooms, like most of Tokyo's hotels are really small but clean and well insulated. The bathroom feels less cramped than other hotels (e.g. APA). Cannot really complain about anything
