"D’Deli has been serving subs on Golden’s historic main thoroughfare for decades, featuring unique combinations and meats, including corned buffalo and smoked elk. The Gold Hill sandwich is made with roast beef, blue cheese aioli, onions, mushrooms, tomatoes, beets, jicama, and spinach, while the Das Butterbrot combines pork tenderloin, ham, peanut butter, honey horseradish dijon, sauerkraut, applesauce, and bananas, made like a panini." - Rebecca Treon

Google
Easily the best sandwich I've ever had! Customer service was great too, they recommended Sriracha and fried onions on the bahn mi and it was amazing! Totally packed with flavors, would 100% recommend

D'Deli is a staple in Golden. I remember going there many times during college and had to visit recently to relive my college days and have a delicious sandwich. We got a TMI, Dalton, and a Camper. The TMI and Dalton were exactly as I remember: delicious and fresh-tasting. The Camper was honestly a little disappointing. It felt like I was eating mostly bread with a bit of Nutella and the other ingredients. Service is great with good conversation with the employees. I will say that I think the sandwiches are a bit expensive for what you get especially if you only get a half sandwich. The sandwiches are delicious either way though. I highly recommend getting a sandwich from here and then walking over to beautiful Clear Creek and enjoying your sandwich while watching/listening to the creek. Life is great sometimes!

Cute deli on the main drag. Seating inside and out. We got there before it opened and within 15 minutes the line was out the door. Great staff. Amazing food.

We ate lunch here and got the TMI (too many ingredients) and the jolly olly. Both were fantastic, the tmi has a nice easy heat, and the jolly olly had the sweetness from the raspberry chipotle. The TMI has so many flavors to it, but the flavors of both sandwiches went well together. Would definitely recommend stopping and grabbing a sandwich.

Google
Small sandwich shop. They have very unique sandwiches. I felt like they had too much bread on them and would prefer it with smaller baguettes. The shop itself is very small and only has 8 seats indoors and a handful of tables outside. They don't offer tap water so if you want water you need to buy a water bottle.

Google
Club sandwich used stale bread, had no condiments, and didn’t have enough meat or cheese for the price. “Hot” steak sandwich was cold. They didn’t ask if I wanted it heated. I assumed, wrongly, that it would be based on the menu. Quality is lacking for the price. Line moved fast, at least.

Google
Great lunch stop in Golden with more choices than you will know what to do with! With a monstrous list of options along with the ability to add or take off whatever you may desire, everyone will be able to find something here they will like. My sandwich was full of flavor, and the toast of the bread was perfect. The best part though, has to be the amazing employees that were so kind and full of energy. Also made some good recommendations. I’m not one for tomato, so I got my sandwich without tomatoes. One of the employees recommended I try with the sun dried tomatoes instead of the fresh. I went with it and that was a perfect choice. Didn’t have to deal with the texture of the fresh, and added some amazing flavor. One criticism, it’s a little expensive. $17.50 ish for a half panini and a local grape soda. So expect about that per person. It is definitely worth it though. With the amazing service and gray sandwiches, I’d recommend D’Deli to anyone passing through in need of a nice lunch stop. PS: try the local beverages they have; very good!

We had a fantastic lunch there today! The variety of unique ingredients and combinations never disappoints! Golden is lucky to have such a yummy sandwich shop!

Yelp
Excellent sandwiches made to order. We tried the Golden Club and Bananos (which has zero bananas). Both were delicious. My daughter and I split the Bananos and half a sandwich was plenty for each of us. A whole sandwich is just $2 more than a half so kinda makes sense to always get the whole. My son saved 1/2 of his for a later meal. Heartily recommend D'deli!

Yelp
My friends and I popped in for a late lunch. There was a line to the door but man was the employee super efficient and really nice. My friends each got a veggie sub and a pb and J for their kids to share. I opted for the aspen buddha with no cheese (turkey, sunflower seeds, cucumber, tomato, lettuce, curry aioli) We all agreed the fillings were inventive and tasty but got a bit lost in all the bread. The bread was good but crumbly like a bad bake day. The curry aioli with the turkey saved the experience for me. The staff was friendly and the space is cozy.

Yelp
once again i apparently got my food from somewhere else in the multiverse.. i had the D'Waldo.. chicken salad, greek yogurt, glazed pecans, lemon juice, celery, apples, mixed greens.. i love chicken salad, but it was the glazed pecans what got me.. what would have been great was if there were any on the sandwich.. okay, i identified two pieces.. yes, i counted.. the only real flavor on the sandwich was the celery.. and i must say it was good celery!! but the chicken was just meat.. the apple was just crunch.. what lemon?? i like a kick of sweet heat so i added cherry peppers which in turn added heat but no flavor.. y'all, in my heart i wanted a good chicken salad sandwich and did not find one..

Yelp
Stopped in for lunch on Sunday. I always love a good sandwich. Small space right on the main stretch. Busy but fast service! I had an Italian and my partner had a golden club. We also shared Macaroni salad. I really wanted to love this place. Meat & Veggies were super fresh but the review photos are misleading. Our sandwiches were about 75% bread. So much (undercooked) bread that it was hard to eat. Once I removed the massive excess of bread it was fairly tasty. There also is not much flavor as far as seasoning or sauce. Next time I'll opt for something toasted or hot and see how it goes. I did enjoy my macaroni. A half sandwich is $12 and a full is $14. For nearly $50 worth of food, I just expected more out of this place. Will try something else and report back!

Yelp
The line to the door and beyond is real. We went around 1:30 on Saturday but the lunch crowd was still in full swing. Make sure you close the door, otherwise you'll get hollered at to "PLEASE CLOSE THE DOOR!" from the counter staff. That didn't happen to us, but it happened frequently while we waited to order. The menu is huge and overwhelming. The QR code pulls up different options than the choices that are offered in shop. The staff is pleasant, but so busy. We had a couple customizations on our orders. I swapped out the bbq pork in favor of turkey. My mom swapped out the pork stuffs for buffalo. Once you place your order, it's not a great idea to ask any questions. Even if you are reasonably sure they are preparing the wrong sandwich - don't say a word or you'll feel the wrath. I was right as neither one of us got what we ordered. My idea of a half means that two halves equal a whole. This place calculates waaaay differently. A half is some length and a whole is 2 inches longer than a half. Since we swapped out meats there was an epic up charge. I paid $50 plus tip for 2 Sammie's, 2 bags of chips and 2 bottles of water. The cashier gave us some gummy (not yummy) brownies on the house. I had hope to make a whole sandwich 2 meals. The bread sogs out quickly, in about 5 minutes, so no 2nd meal for me. No bad vibes, I gave this 5 stars because I like to support local. Thankfully this place is busy enough that they won't miss me not returning. They are trying hard and that's an A for effort.

Chad B.

Yelp
Got the whole heater sandwich on white and it was kinda mid. Pretty bland and not much sauce. Also $14 for a whole kinda pricey. Lots of options tho I'd try again possibly

Matthew B.

Yelp
The creativity here is a delight. And the owner came out to apologize that my first choice wasn't available that day. Seems his meat supplier only had frozen available for a certain variety so the owner refused to sell it. Trust these people to fill you up with flavors and keep it real at the same time.

Rachel B.

Yelp
Yummmm. Second time around, and it was just as good! It's our go-to quick stop when in Golden. I go the bellanini and hubs got the golden club. Brought our sandwiches to the park and enjoyed them there.

abigail p.

Yelp
I've been here 4x this week. I love D'Deli. Cool people work here & they're super awesome and patient. Love sitting outside! 10/10 loyal to D'Deli

Tiffany A.

Yelp
Love stopping here for a sandwich any time we're in Golden. I always get the Bellanini which is a great veggie, panini style sandwich and my husband always gets the knuckle sandwich (love the cayenne honey). They were sold out of prime rib today by the time we got there (not the first time bc it's so good) so Jared tried Jewzer and it was decent. Only gripe is prices are a bit hefty - definitely makes sense to go for a large versus small. To note, there's no seating inside. There are outdoor tables for when the weather is nice.

Daniel M.

Yelp
i just ate the best sandwich of my life. i highly recommend getting the Whole Elk Golden Rack BEST SANDWICH SHOP IN COLORADO 2024!

Michael F.

Yelp
I had high hopes for this well located sandwich shop. It is a tiny place, so plan on a to-go order; so not optimal when it is bitter cold outside. The staff were pretty friendly, but our sandwiches were far below par. The ingredients were nothing special, and it is a rarity I ever leave remnants of a sandwich on the table - much of it went in the trash. If in a pinch I may give it another shot, perhaps my choice was poor (I had The Heater), but for now, might be worth a pass.

Smitha S.

Yelp
D'deli serves the most crave-able and interesting sandwiches in America. Come early or you'll find yourself in a block-long line, drooling for a buffalo reuben and craving a knuckle sandwich. As a former local of Golden, here are my tips: - Order a pressed sandwich- the fresh bread sings in your mouth this way -Get creative- the owner throws in a free dessert if you modify an existing sandwich or create an original that he thinks will be delicious -Buy a whole but try to stop at half- save room for delicious old fashioned ice cream down the block -Be prepared to wait if you show up after 11:45 am. -Order by phone at 11 am to avoid the noon wait. -Be adventurous! These sandwiches are like no other, don't waste your calories on a silly ham and cheese!

Yelp
It was lunch time and a sandwich sounded just right for the occasion strolling around historic downtown Golden. There's a few other sandwich shops around, but this place just stood out. It's definitely not a place you can dine at, but there's plenty of sidewalk seats along Washington street. What made this place completely different than your common sandwich shops was its specially / gourmet meat choices. How many delicatessens carry smoked cured elk, ribeye and buffalo? I'm almost positive it's not common. I ordered the full elk sandwich called Golden Rack, and it was just out of this world. Definitely worth the price, especially since it's sizable for two portions. The meat was extraordinary and something one should try. The staff was awesome and the line moved quickly, even though it started out the door. Smiles all around and genuinely thankful for our visit. A must try if you are yarning for a sandwich!

Kierstin R.

Yelp
Tasty sandwiches! We took some people who were visiting Colorado to this cute stop in Golden and it was a hit! Not only were the sandwiches and salads really good, but the staff was very friendly and fast! Definitely recommend this sandwich joint, if you're in the Golden area.

Jeff W.

Yelp
fantastic deli. we had the golden club and the Olympian. Both were fantastic. Staff are very friendly and super helpf for menu recommendations. Highly recommend!

Gabby S.

Yelp
One of the best sandwich shops that I've been to since moving to Denver! You'll usually find a line out the door but don't be put off, it usually goes really quickly! They have a large menu of sandwiches, definitely something for everyone. There are many vegan and vegetarian options but it didn't lol like there was any gluten free bread. The ingredients are all fresh, they have lots of delicious sauces and aiolis for their sandwiches, and they give you the option of ordering a full or a half! I most recently tried the "Aspen Buddha" which included turkey, Swiss, curry aioli, sunflower seeds, lettuce, tomato, sprouts, banana peppers and cucumbers. I wasn't sure what to expect with the curry aioli but I loved it! The flavor wasn't too overpowering and it worked really well with all the other fresh veggies. I think this has been my favorite thing I've ordered so far!

Ellie B.

Yelp
I was in town for a college graduation and my family was much in need of some hearty food post-grad ceremony. This spot has become my brother's go to during his time at Mines so we chose D-Deli as our celebratory lunch. My brother and I split the Dalton (his go to + olives) and a big baller, while my mom got a salad. Both sandwiches were amazing and something I would order again, but the dalton definitely stole the show! My mom raved about her salad and even ordered it a 2nd time when she went back for lunch! If this place was near me back home, I would be here weekly!

Peter B.

Yelp
Best sandwiches in the state. I know, I know. Those are maybe some of the strongest words spoken. But they have an insane and amazing menu selection with crazy combinations that so far have all been outstanding. I always get the Aspen Buddha, which is one of the best combos possible on a sandwich. It's lighter than most combos there and perfect for inhaling after one of the 1,000 hikes Golden has to offer. Staff is always friendly and the amount of toppings make the price worth it. Try the Aspen Buddha, I promise you won't be disappointed!

Mark G.

Yelp
It was delightful just to read their proposed, gastronomical sandwich board. While I waited in line, it was much fun to watch them make their creations while they chatted up the customers. I had a very simple French dip sandwich which, when dipped in the au jus, was everything I expected. I need to go back, though, get out of my comfort zone and try some of their superb-sounding, un-orthodox sandwiches.

Troy L.

Yelp
When first moving to Golden, every single local recommend this place. Very busy but well worth the wait! Amazing spot with great food. Easily walkable from anywhere you park downtown. Plenty of options and all very good.

Dan M.

Yelp
Just do it, this sandwich shack is no frills, all business ... and their business is making baller sammiches My personal favorite is the knuckle with extra spread but you can go wrong here. check hours as they close early on some days; cheers!

Kristina S.

Yelp
They have an amazing and wide selection of sandwiches. I felt like I needed some vegetables, so I went with the bahn mi sandwich while fulfilled my needs with lots of carrots and greens. The sandwich was good and felt healthy, but I think I would have gone with some of their other perhaps less healthy options as they looked really good. You can also make any of their sandwiches into salads according to their menu. The service was very fast, and I was in and out very quickly. They have a few tables on the inside and a few tables on the sidewalk outside. There are no bathrooms. The staff was very nice and willing to answer my questions. I went on a Friday midday in March, and it was pretty quiet.

Catherine A.

Yelp
This place is amazing and can't be missed on your next visit to Golden. The inside is extremely quaint, so plan on a picnic elsewhere, but if you get lucky they have about 3 or 4 two-seater tables available inside. The sandwiches are fabulous! We had the Golden Mill and the Heater. Their half sandwiches could easily be two meals, I couldn't imagine eating a whole sandwich (but we wolfed down our halves after a long hike). We got to try a sample of the sliced corned elk and I can't explain how delicious and not gamey it was. I wish I had seen those menu offerings and had a taste before ordering the Golden Mill (of which I have no regrets), so I'll have to go back. We also splurged and order the Camper for dessert: Nutella, bananas, peanut butter, mini marshmallows, and honey on a French loaf and toasted like a panini. It was otherworldly amazing. On top of 5-star food offerings, the staff is super upbeat and chatty and extremely efficient making the sandwiches. They clearly love working there and it shows and enhances the experience.

Cesar H.

Yelp
Okay, so this place came recommended by a coworker. They always have a line and an extensive menu (borderline gimmicky) and locals swear by it. Unfortunately, I do not get it. I had their "banh mi" sandwich. I put it between quotes because it wasn't really a banh mi. It was cold, the bread tasted old, and had a very sweet flavor to it. It did not even slightly reminded me of a banh mi. I would go again and give it another chance but I don't really want peanut butter on my ham and cheese sandwich.

Andrea S.

Yelp
It's been awhile since I've been to D'deli but it never disappoints! My husband and I stopped in for a quick lunch and shared the firecracker sub. It had a nice bit of heat and really hit the spot. My only knock is even though we ate it right outside the bread seemed to be a tad mushy. I seem to remember this always being my issue with D's... just needs a sturdier bread to really knock these subs out of the park because they have some really great, unique combos!

Tish S.

Yelp
The deli had a lot of sandwich choices, I ordered the half size Italian and a bottled water for $15. The sandwich was good, although I didn't realize it has mustard. I should have swapped it out for Italian dressing or mayonnaise. They only had 3 little tables to eat at. So it's not really a dine in deli. We ended up standing under an umbrella in the rain. The staff was a tad unfriendly.

Robb C.

Yelp
I've had several different sandwiches from D'deli over the years and have never been disappointed. Everything is always fresh and delicious. Fortunately, they're located within walking distance of my home.

Brandon M.

Yelp
Excellent spot of lunch with great food. My wife and I got split the knuckle sandwich which was terrific, and a potato salad that was the best I've ever had. The service was the best I've seen. The workers were very polite, interacting with the customers positively, and recommended some great sites to see. The wait was also short. I can't think of anything negative to say. A great local sp

Michelle Z.

Yelp
I love this spot for sandwiches! They've got an extensive menu - something for everyone. Basic sandwiches, unique ones, and savory ones. I love picking one up before headed to the mountains! Come during busy hours (lunch etc) and expect to wait in line.

Vivian C.

Yelp
It's been a thousand years since I've last enjoyed a sandwich this much. The line was long and crowded, but it was worth every second. My fiancé and I decided to be greedy and order 4 sandwiches total. HUGE hefty sandwiches filled with super fresh ingredients that are unique in flavor in so many different ways!! Paninis were nice and crispy, while the cold sandwiches were filling and tasty. When I brought my second sandwich to work, my coworkers were saying how good it looked. I ended up almost food coma-ing after that lunch break. Extremely awesome sandwiches and would go back in that huge line to grab another.

Jessica S.

Yelp
This is not your ordinary sandwich shop especially given the complexity offered in their extensive menu and the sheer size of the resulting sandwiches. You do have the ability to order a half or full size, in that light. If you don't get there upon opening, there is guaranteed to be a line out the door. This could be because they only have two workers manning the counter at any given time. We came upon opening, so the wait wasn't too long. We ordered the following: -Golden Rack ($18?; Roast Beef, Creamy Goat Cheese, Dijon, Mint, Basil, Blackberry Chutney, Mixed Greens, and Peppercorn Balsamic) -Golden Club ($12.50; Lettuce, Tomato, Extra Thick Mayo, Smoked Turkey, Roast Beef, Bacon, and Ham) The Golden Rack with the goat cheese and chutney was truly a unique option. They were out of smoked corn elk (sourced locally), so with reluctance, I opted for roast beef instead. The partner seemed to relish in the Golden Club which had all the right ingredients. The baguette they used maybe tasted a little old as it was slightly chewy. The sandwiches were stuffed sufficiently, however, and with fresh, local ingredients, so this was only a small complaint.

Susanne V.

Yelp
It was good...so glad we went here instead of Jimmy Johns. The staff is super friendly. There is a lot to choose from...slightly overwhelming. The ingredients were all good. The sandwiches were massive. It was nice to grab our sandwiches and head outside. Inside is way to crowded, warm and noisy. Again, go here instead of the chain restaurants for sure.

Katie O.

Yelp
This place was so good! I can't believe I've lived here my whole life and have never been to D'deli before the other day. They have an extensive menu that you can adjust to your liking which is important to me. What really made this place great though was the extremely friendly employees. Like, overly friendly, which annoys me at Dutch Bros lol but was very welcome and genuine here. The only thing I wasn't a fan of was how stuffy and crowded the inside was, I would probably never eat inside but they have outdoor seating which was nice. Might be better in the fall or spring but not on a 98° day.

Carli J.

Yelp
Gem in downtownGolden, CO. Unique sandwiches as well as the staples. Fresh ingredients and friendly staff. Glad we popped in

Stewart J.

Yelp
The second you look at the menu of this place or step inside then you know it's about to be a good time. Their soundtrack is great and the employees look like they are true sandwich artists (f off Subway) and they are about to splatter a canvas with bread and fillings. Except you know...the canvas is paper to wrap your sandwich and it will be well put together so you can eat it. Anyway, whimsy aside, let me break down my order. I got the golden club (whole size) with a Rocky Mountain soda brand Birch beer. I really just needed something that felt fresh, filling, and meaty after a great Red Rocks show. The Golden Club was literally the first thing on the menu so I got it. The menu was extensive though and on a better day I would love to have tried the buffalo reuben or the knuckle sandwich. The club was exactly what my night ordered. Filling and meaty. The meats were all good quality and the mayo really brought the sandwich together. The person wearing the elf ears asked if I wanted pickles or something on the sandwich and I just said yeah because I didn't know what I needed and I assumed they did. It was the right choice because the pickles were very welcome for the sandwich. The place was a bit pricey and their bread was a bit...weird? Weirdly white. It wasn't bad bread but it didn't blow my mind. Also, the sandwich was supposed to have bacon and I think I tasted bacon but I couldn't taste it as much as I felt a meat crunch every once and awhile and assumed it was bacon. I would for sure go again next time I swing by Golden and need a sandwich.

Frank M.

Yelp
I'm sure all the other reviews repeat what I would say here beyond these five words: Try it-you'll love it!!! Whenever I go to Golden, this is my go to place. This place brings a whole new meaning to the word sandwich. Every menu item starts with fresh and high-quality ingredients and must end with the secret ingredient of every great cook- TLC! I got hungry again now just thinking of the many great items I've had at D' Deli. I'm planning now on driving there tomorrow to satisfy my craving! The fact I live 25 miles from Golden tells you how great this place is!!!!

Cheryl W.

Yelp
Downright the most amazing sandwich shop I have ever been to. Every time I go I try to order a different sandwich and I am never disappointed. The place can get crowded on weekends, not a bad problem to have! I'm so happy to have a place like this close to home.

Sean S.

Yelp
Super hot day in Golden and we grabbed some grub and took it to the river. What incredibly nice people here. Mentioned we were walking our dogs to the river and the gave us a little Tun of Turkey for them. Great find for us just passing thru from San Diego. If you are passing thru and want some good grub and super nice people...this is the place. And the dogs say thank you too!!!

Carter P.

Yelp
Staff are extremely kind, and they offer a wide selection of sandwiches and local sodas that taste great. Bonus points for a flat student discount.

Elise M.

Yelp
I finally came here after walking by for 4 years while going to school at Mines and I was not disappointed! I got the D'Waldo chicken salad sandwich and it was delicious - the perfect balance of sweet and savory. The sandwiches are huge, just half is a reasonably large lunch. I also liked how they have fruit as an option for a side. There isn't much seating inside and there was about a 20 minute wait when I was here for lunch at 12:40 on a Sunday, so it worked well to stop by for a casual lunch on a summer day when we had plenty of time and could sit outside.

Heather L.

Yelp
This is the most amazing sandwich shop ever! So unique and delicious! The staff is amazing. If your hungry and in Golden this is the place. Such a cute little place to eat.

Rachel V.

Yelp
So very delightful! Some of the best sandwiches I've ever eaten. An abundance of flavors and all of them were enjoyed by my tastebuds. Who knew artichoke dip on a grilled sandwich could be so good!!!?? This whole time I've been missing out. Wish I could try more sandwiches but sadly I'm from out of state. Totally worth the $20 price tag. And I bought a CBD cola. Yummoo!

Rain S.

Yelp
Good sandwich and very friendly service. The guy behind the counter chatted with us and offered suggestions of things to do in the town. I would absolutely go back and would recommend to anyone passing through.

Nicole T.

Yelp
I've been coming to this little sandwich spot in Golden for years. I have liked every sandwich I've tried and there are so many to try. They have a huge menu featuring cold sandwiches, hot sandwiches, paninis, salads and more. We ordered a Heater sandwich and added pepperoni. It comes with turkey, bacon, pepper jack cheese and chipotle ranch. This sandwich came loaded with meat! It was delicious and filling. I also ordered an Aspen Buddha and this is one yummy sandwich. It comes with turkey, Swiss cheese, curry aioli, sunflower seeds, lettuce, tomatoes, sprouts, banana peppers and cucumbers. To start the turkey, Swiss and aioli were all great flavors combined. And the veggies added a fresh crunch and the sunflower seeds were a nice surprise. You'll want to check this place out!

Stephanie C.

Yelp
First time in today & their sandwiches are no joke! Got the French dip & it was amazing! Looking forward to trying all their creative sandwich creations! Service was very friendly & engaging. The ambiance was fun & upbeat. I work down a couple of doors down so I will definitely be frequenting this joint!

Ellen D.

Yelp
Creative sandwich options. Top quality breads and meats. Friendly service. We loved our Italian and Bahn Mi sandwiches!

Katy S.

Yelp
I crave the Golden Buddha sandwich at least once a week. The staff is super friendly and the service is fast. Great spot for a picnic lunch.

Tom C.

Yelp
There are very few sandwich shops in the country with offerings as creative as what they serve up here. I'm sure you can get yourself a turkey sandwich with cheddar and mayo, but if that's what you are looking for, I would recommend a nice, safe chain type place where you can drift off to sleep while eating something mediocre you've had a thousand times. This is where the action lives. This is the Fast & Furious of sandwich shops. I am fairly certain Vin Diesel made my sandwich. These sandwiches are crazy and delicious. I am baffled when I see a negative review. Just look at the line people, not to mention what most reviews say. You're going to love it. My favorite is the Gold Hill. It's literally unlike any sandwich I've ever had. The roast beef is delicious, the jicama gives it fresh crunch, the beets give it a subtle earthiness and the blue cheese aioli is tangy and delicious. There's other glorious ingredients too, but I'm already getting too hungry thinking about this. The line does move quickly, and yes, the sandwiches will run you about $12-$15. The wait and money are worth it. Make sure you stop.

Zak S.

Yelp
12:25 lunch time right? Took them 24min to make 5 subs No white bread The lady in front of me had to alter her order because they needed to make more chicken salad No white bread Very low on whole west...lucky for us they did not run out This is your prime time how are you not able to keep up? Your a staple in the area. Really disappointed and while might return I hope things get better
