I witnessed countless love stories unfold at De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms and is an absolute pleasure to shoot events over there. From the moment you step foot into the grand lobby, you're greeted with an air of elegance and sophistication. The ballroom is a sight to behold, with its sparkling chandeliers and ornate architecture providing the perfect backdrop for a glamorous wedding. If you're exchanging, this venue promises an experience that is nothing short of extraordinary.

The food was great. Staff very helpful. However, it's worth noting that the bathroom facilities seem like an after thought. The men's and women's are on different floors and it's not hard to get lost in that building. 😉

Great staff, good service, but overpriced, mediocre food. Small portion, dried out beef, sloppy mash, stewed greens.

Just been for a conference here, lovely conference centre. Food was good too. However, the floors were dirty and hard floors sticky. Didn’t seem to have been cleaned for a while. Also the men’s toilets in the bottom floor were not very clean too, walls were dirty etc. Also place needs a bit of TLC: wobbly tables, worn carpets etc…

Such a luxurious venue for formal meetings and events. The meeting rooms are well lit, beautiful. The staff are fantastic, the offer you such a nice experience. Would defiantly recommend. It is also pretty easy accessible via underground and uber.

Food is very expensive for what you get in with quality so so and portions so so. Dined with 700 people, and it's was tepid for the majority. The vegetarian option came out piping hot, just not the rest of it. The fruit salad consisted of 5 grapes, 2 small bits of apple, and 1 bit of orange.

Yelp
I came to this venue for a fashion show and I enjoyed every moment. The architecture reminisces the residence of a govt official. When entering into the building, the doorman and receptionist were very professional, polite and gave us directions leading to the show floor. The hall for the show was an average size and eventually seating was sold out! People were so anxious to view the show; they asked security if they could stand against the wall. During intermission, we could munch on edible flower arrangements made of fruit. I splashed a few strawberries in my glass of Pinot Grigio.

Yelp
I recently went to an event here to celebrate The Pink Singers 30th year birthday! It was a big achievement for the choir which I'm so proud to be apart of - so we threw a party!! I didn't know what to expect from the venue. I'm always weary of venues that only exists for one off events. Picturing them to be dodgy office spaces. But it was beautiful. The entrance to the hall is sleek and classy, with a wide marble staircase to welcome you into the building. And with such a central location, it's perfect for a large party. There was also a wedding taking place in the venue so there was a lot of excitement around the venue. Walking to the first floor where our event was taking place we were welcomed by a bit of bubbly in the bar room. A cute circular bar in the centre of a wide, wooden floored room really suited the events 1930s theme. I ordered a drink, single JD and coke - and at £8.00 all I can say is I'm glad wine was included with the meal. Dinner was three courses with wine and coffee. At £45 pp it was a bargain. They accommodated all of our weird dietary needs and the food was beautiful. I was not very excited when I saw the menu - starter: Goats cheese tart: Main: Risotto and desert cheesecake - but it was all very beautiful. The best Risotto I've ever had. The service was also impeccable. I've been to wedding dinners and events similar and you can often find yourself waiting around for food for ages, not being able to get anyone's attention. Not here - service was so smooth and friendly. Suitably sozzled after dinner we danced the night away on the main dance floor to the Gay Big Band (A group formed out of the LGSO) who were great. Overall it is a lovely venue with great staff.

Yelp
Ah, conferences. Is there anything better? I won't go there. But what I WILL say is that you can get completely lost in this venue, dare you try and find the facilities in between panel A and panel B. That said, it's comfortable, and a wonderful spot to have a medium-sized seminar with a great central room for receptions or breakout sessions. (Insert other corporate buzzwords here). But the best part is the location -- could you be any more central? No.

Yelp
I was actually quite pleased with the layout of the conference rooms, as I went for a job fair that had the exhibitors divided into rooms based on bacground (NGO, charity / corporate). The building was really easy to find, though when people say Covent Garden, it's really closer to Holborn I think on the map, but regardless, a short walk from either. I will say this though, the audio was terrible, some people kept making announcements on the PA and we couldn't understand what they were saying. But the set-up and facilities were all crisp and professional. Also, great location for some after-conference lunching.

Yelp
Was here in business for 2 days in a meeting room. The place looks grand from the outside and the lobby area. The meeting rooms and corridors would benefit from a minor upgrade/makeover. The coffee and range of snacks served was excellent and good quality, and changed throughout the day. The lunch was amazing and top quality. Its ideal location allows for a great meeting room venue. Its a shame I cant give it 4.5 stars officially because it deserves a tad more than just 4.
