Had the best time here ! They hosted a mahjong night for my women’s group upstairs. The staff were all super friendly, the drinks and food were pretty tasty and overall the place was really nice and conveniently located. They have free valet (tip encouraged). But overall we had so much fun! I can’t wait to go back and enjoy dinner with friends !

Finally a great dinner experience. An unpretentious cozy neighborhood gem. So glad we took a chance on this Franco-Italian "bistro." A well balanced, well priced, wine list with a great selection from new and old world, even Greece. Some different, interesting cocktails too. We started with a Cremant. We even got a side car of Crème de Cassis to make our own Kir Royal. Menu was extensive with plenty of interesting "Sharables." Nice salads and pizzas. We started with 3 tasty dips (including a Caponata that even my mother-in-law would love) with bread service, tender Prosciutto Bruschetta, Crispy Fritto Misto with beautiful fried marinated Artichokes and well Fried Green Tomatoes with succulent Pimento Cheese dip and Bacon jam. Menu includes some good Pastas and lovely "Big plates." Our Primo were a textbook, Cacio E Pepe which as you know is not easy to master (We opted for the added Truffles which unfortunately were sprinkles and not shaved with no truffle taste or aroma) and a Bolognese Pappardelle that rivalled my wife's and that is impressive! We also tried the melt in your mouth Short Rib Bourguignon with tender, sweet, baby carrots and an amazing red wine reduction that was just right. Steak Fries was what it should be albeit not very interesting. Would be nice to have a Café de Paris butter sauce option as well as the 2 offered. Of course a beautiful, well priced, CADE accompanied these meats 😁. We skipped dessert after all this food but we did take a piece of the Olive Oil cake home but it was dry. Overall a GREAT dinner made perfect by Annie's impeccable service. Very courteous and hospitable. Never faltered with the wines or silverware and most importantly delivered all dishes PIPING hot as requested 😁 The manager/owner is constantly working the floor. She checked on our table twice. We will be back to try the other dishes on the menu. THANK YOU

Service was amazing. The manager checked on us twice. Fresh pasta and thin and crispy pizza. Quality of food was good. Wine selection was really good. Olive cake was a bit dry.

Had a fantastic dinner there tonight. Steak Frites cooked perfectly and arguably the best Au Poivre I’ve had outside of France. Scallops were also perfectly cooked, and Pineapple Upside Down Cake was the perfect way to end the dinner. Service was professional and unobtrusive, like a well oiled machine.

Google
While searching for a breakfast or brunch spot, we stumbled upon a charming eatery advertised by a sandwich board by the road, which prompted us to give it a shot. Despite being underdressed for its surprisingly upscale ambiance, the staff treated us wonderfully, making us feel welcome. The service was excellent throughout. I enjoyed a delicious Steak and Eggs, while my girlfriend savored a delightful chicken dish, and we topped off our meal with a scrumptious dessert. Highly recommend for a top-notch dining experience!

Dea was a five-star, fabulous experience from walking-in to walking-out. We were politely greeted upon walk-in, and proceeded to the open bar until the remainder of our party arrived. The bartenders were immediately attentive and made us a tasty round of cocktails. Soon thereafter, we were accompanied to our table and had a wonderful dining experience trying several dishes. I failed to capture all served plates and entrees, but each and every dish was spectacular and had palatable taste. I highly recommend and urge you to try a selection in every category offered because we did so, and nothing disappointed any of us! We will be back to enjoy again and again!

Google
I had the pleasure of dining at Dea on Friday, June 16 for my dad’s birthday/Father’s Day. Everything was great, from the hospitality to the food and ambiance. We had several different items off of the menu, and each item was spectacular. We really loved the gougères, burrata salad, pasta, halibut, and steaks. I also tried the drink special that our server, Ralph, came up with, and it was amazing! Dea has one of the best desserts in all of Dallas with the Carmelia Chocolate Tart. Can’t wait to go back!

Google
I had my birthday dinner here and everything was exceptional from vibe, food, drink and service! Raulph was our waiter and he took care of us so well, and gave us good recommendations on food and drinks. We would come back for brunch next time since the brunch menu also looks really good!

Yelp
I came here for the first time tonight for their DFW restaurant week tasting menu. Our party was vegetarian, so we opted for the $49 menu that didn't include meat dishes. To start - the ambiance is great, the interior was designed in a way that was well thought out and really welcoming. I think(?) the only parking option is valet - we parked down the street at the bank. The service was excellent for the most part, everyone was friendly and seemed to be enthusiastic about working there. The only issue with service was it seemed rushed even though the restaurant was 80% unoccupied. The entrees were brought out when I was still finishing up my salad. I would consider the food to be really well created and delicious, but the portions are tiny. I loved the gougere, lynae salad, and cacio e pepe. The caponata was laughably small but still decent. My go-to drink is an aperol spritz, which is a pretty simple cocktail, and I had the worst one of my life here. It was $16 and tasted unbelievably sour and off. I was debating between 3 and 4 stars, but brought it down to 3 because we left hungry. For a four course meal for two (with one drink) that came out to be around $150 with tip, we were disappointed by the miniature portion sizes that didn't fill us up. I understand this is a tasting menu, so the portions are smaller, but this is a lot to spend on a dinner that could be followed by another dinner.

Yelp
Remember the tale of Goldilocks and the Three Bears? As we all know, Goldilocks was one of those uber-high maintenance types who easily found fault in porridge, chairs and beds. Yep, Goldilocks was picky beyond repair. Like Goldilocks, I am picky beyond repair, but not for slurping down porridge or critiques of mattress firmness. For me, I can be your worst imaginable nightmare when it comes to deciding upon a restaurant for a meal. Restaurant partners have to endure a line of questioning more severe than waterboarding: "Where's the restaurant located?" "How crowded is it?" "Is it full of kids?" "Can I get a booth?" "Is the service slow?" "Is there a bar scene?" "What do I have to wear?" "Do they have valet, and if so, can I trust them with my car?" By the time I've finished the interrogation, most people have given up with the thought of dining with me or they throw their hands up in desperation and revulsion after I have eliminated 98% of the restaurants in Dallas. Dea has somehow managed to survive my rarified list of conditions since we've dined there nearly a half-dozen times over the past year. The restaurant is easy on the eyes--not too over the top at one end of the spectrum or pedestrian on the other. And for some reason, (other than New Years Eve) it's never been packed when we've dined there. Matter of fact, we've often wished that it could be a little more lively. We've never seen kids on the run or wailing babies as of yet. And they have an attractive detached bar (with no bar scene) which might serve as a place for you and your main squeeze to enjoy a before or after dinner drink. And for the most important part of the dining equation, the food...each selection that I've enjoyed has been a winner. The menu offers up an adequate selection of Italian inspired fare to satisfy most palates (that is, unless you're looking for a pizza joint). Service has been attentive and we've never experienced significant lags in service. So give Dea a whirl. And consider yourself fortunate that you're not dining with moi.

Yelp
Dining in Dallas has some stiff competition, but my third trip to Dea did not disappoint. We were seated for the first time upstairs which had a quiet, moodier vibe that was complimented by spectacular service. Our waiter suggested several different options and ideas for add-on and substitutions. While I love cacio e pepe, I always feel like the dish is missing something. Our waiter suggested adding the meatballs on which bumped up the satiety of the dish perfectly. When the bartender dropped off our second round of drinks, he stayed and chatted a little bit. Everyone at Dea's is so friendly and personable which really elevates the experience. It's a little bit of an earlier night crowd, but if you are looking to hang out later, walk on over to Inwood tavern next door for a drink and unmatched people watching!

Yelp
Overall, I really enjoyed this restaurant! The ambiance is incredible and the bathrooms in particular are so cute. Our server was a little inappropriate, he seemed to be trying very hard to flirt/be charismatic, but it came off as disingenuous and a little creepy. The service was also incredibly slow, but this might be because he couldn't figure out how how to work the new operating system to put in orders and run our cards. The food was so good! The whipped ricotta was to die for and the bread was perfectly toasted. The bolognese was super flavorful and just the right portion size. My friends got the chicken Paillard and the cacio e pepe and said that they enjoyed both! Overall, I would definitely come back

Yelp
This was a first visit to Dea and it will definitely not be a last! From the superior service at the bar for drinks before dinner, to the service through-out dinner, even having the co-gm visit our table to give his suggestions on wine for dinner, to the fabulous food we received. It was so nice to visit a place of business for dinner that did not come across that they were above everyone else, made you feel at home, and gave a superior product. As stated in the beginning, there is a return trip planned.

Yelp
First time here. Brandon our server was amazing and super personable & professional. Highly recommend for an intimate date night. We'll be back. Also- SHAME on the racist review left by Brad O below, but I guess that's expected for the specific area of this restaurant. :(

Yelp
Went here for my birthday dinner and it was okay. We tried many dishes on the menu but nothing stood out to be memorable. The service was quite slow but we didn't mind. The staff was friendly and informative. Overall, I probably would pass on this if anyone suggests it for dinner plans in the future.

Yelp
My SO and I recently dined at Dea, which happens to be the sister restaurant of Shinsei, located next door. To start our meal, we ordered their Charcuterie and Cheese Boards, which included both meats and cheeses, marcona almonds, various olives, lemon curd, and mostarda. The addition of honeycomb was a pleasant surprise. We decided to split the Roman's Caesar salad. The salad dressing was delicious, and the portion size was generous enough for sharing. However, I found the croutons to be a bit too hard for my liking, which raised concerns about dental work. On the other hand, my SO enjoyed them and gladly finished my portion. We decided to order both the Cacio e Pepe and Pappardelle Bolognese to share, family-style. The handmade pasta in both dishes was cooked to perfection. The bolognese sauce was rich and tasted authentic. The Cacio e Pepe, although traditionally not made with cream, still was pretty good. Overall, Dea is a good destination for Italian food. Definitely recommend.

Yelp
LOVE that this spot popped up near our Neighborhood! Same owner/group as Lovers Seafood and Shinsei, so that should give you some confidence. Full disclosure, we have only ever eaten at the bar. I've never experienced the table service, so keep that in mind. Burrata appetizer and the cacio e pepe are two main go-to's! I did however add scallops to the cacio e pepe once and won't do that again. The scallops were not cooked well and very expensive to add. Stick to the pasta as is. Atmosphere: 5/5 - cozy yet upscale in the right ways Food: 4/5 - haven't tried everything and of course the scallops made me sad but everything else has been good Drinks: 4/5 - speciality cocktail menu is good and they seem know mixology. I'd love a little more variety of wine by the glass though Service: 4/5 - again, we've only ever eaten in the bar area and no complaints other than occasionally flagging down someone to order (when they first think you may only be drinking)

Yelp
Exactly what I've come to expect from the owners of Lovers Seafood and Shinsei. Great service, delicious food and a welcoming ambience. A perfect neighborhood bistro! Can't wait to go back!!

Yelp
Definitely one of my favorite restaurants in Dallas. Their steak tartar is hands down the best I've ever had by leaps and bounds. Their Piedmontese beef filet has amazing flavor and was cooked to perfection. Our server was great and took excellent care of us. It has such a romantic atmosphere. I'm really looking forward to going back and trying more things.

Yelp
You walk immediately into the bustling bar & the 1980's music is loud. Surprisingly friendly hostess(a rarity in Dallas) sat us before our friends arrived & the very professional waiter got our drink order. Its definitely focused on Italian cuisine with a few not Italian items too. Wine list is typical Dallas 3x-4x markup on so-so wines & leans toward tired syrupy California wines that do not work with the food at all. Salmon with risotto was cooked nicely and mushroom risotto was super salty. Sashimi crudo was more asian than italian but had great freshness. Loved the bruschetta because the bread was kinda soft, not a hard as a rock and easy to eat. As it got later, the dining got extremely loud but had good energy,

Yelp
Great service, good pasta selections, steaks are sauce focused while selecting prime cuts which is great. Overall I'd say this is more of a steakhouse with pasta entrees. The ambiance is high energy but the location on lovers & Inwood makes it so accessible for any time. Waiters seem to love the food and enthused. Management checked on us a few times. Always appreciate that level of connection on a visit. Tried the fumar cocktail and ranch water. Liked the smoky mezcal. I had high expectations from the owners of shinsei & lovers seafood and was not disappointed.

Yelp
Excellent service. Not pictures is the olive oil cake that is a MUST TRY. So so good. Definitiey recommend the shrimp pesto pasta. The pesto was not oily at all and was so flavorful
google avatar

Yelp
Wow. We stopped in after a long and difficult day without a reservation on a busy Friday night. The staff kindly squeezed us in at the Chef's Counter, and everything after that was magical! The prosciutto bruschetta was superb. I mean lick the plate delicious! My husband got red snapper, and I got shrimp scampi (both were specials), and both dishes were divine. When the very kind waiter offered dessert, there was no way we were going to turn that down! Chocolate, sea salt, caramel, with gelato...oh my. The restaurant is beautiful, and even though it was extremely busy, every single staff member treated us like we were their favorite diners. Dea is our new favorite restaurant!

Yelp
My family and I ate at Dea and we absolutely loved it. We arrived early and were able to sit at the bar until our table was ready. We tried some of the different drinks, I had the ciao Bella - it was delicious and refreshing, and chatted with the bartender about the menu. When our table was ready we were taken back to the dining area, I ordered the cacio e Pepe and it was delicious, added a scallop on top and it was cooked perfectly.

Yelp
The place is really crowded and the food is mediocre at best. We went there for restaurant week and we were not impressed. We are foodies and like to give honest reviews not to burn the place but to help others. Our goal is to share with you honest reviews so that you won't waste your hard earned money. If the food sucks or if it's good then we will tell you. Don't waste your time going to this place. Looks can be deceiving Overall this restaurant deserves a solid 2 out of 5.

J W.

Yelp
I'm conflicted about this place. The food was great, but it wasn't enough. Lots of reviews here about small portions, it's true. You're going to need to order multiple items if you want to leave satisfied with your meal. The waiter was overly familiar and too fond of his sense of humor. Being corrected on the pronunciation of every dish we ordered wasn't a positive - I don't speak Italian and don't plan on learning. Sorry if I got it wrong, but this is Texas. Someone in our group asked for a recommendation between two dishes, the waiter was no help. They're both great! The tiny water glasses required filling every 8 minutes and the water was room temperature. No ice for you! Not sure I've ever been to an Italian restaurant that didn't serve bread with the meal. The Cacio E Pepe was outstanding. Perfect if the portion had been twice the size. Great comments on the Arrabiata Casarecce too, but you can't pronounce it. Bolognese Pappardelle was the other pasta dish at the table, and it also got raves, except for the size. In summary, great food, great atmosphere, awkward service, some things missing.
google avatar

G D.

Yelp
well I don't really know what to say. we have been to Dea several times as it is one of our favorites but the last visit 2 weeks ago was not good. the service was weird, we had our water refilled at least 20 times and I'm not exaggerating. the waiter was very attentive until he got busy, then we didn't see him again. every entree was so salty that it was boarder line inedible. so our dilemma is we really like the palace but hope they can get there act together. We won't be back for a while.

Yelp
Dined at Dea for the first time last night - very cool, chic, and vibey new spot in Dallas. We sat upstairs, which i would recommend for more of a quiet dining experience. Downstairs seemed to be pretty loud. Service was really good! Our server, Rob, provided great recommendations & was quirky! We ordered a bottle of Turning Point, a Cabernet Sauvignon. It paired nicely with our food. For an appetizer, Rob suggested the Eggplant Caponata. It was super flavorful and yummy! Highly recommend. For our entrees, I ordered the King Salmon and my boyfriend got the filet. He ate his entire steak and rated it a 4 out of 5. He said it was a nice piece of meat, but how they cooked it was a little too well done. The middle was medium, but the outside edges were too over cooked. The salmon was ok. Didn't have a ton of flavor - I'd give it a 3.5 out of 5. Overall, the restaurant was nice and fun ambiance. There's lots of places like this in Dallas though, so they have quite a bit of competition.

Yelp
Went for my friends moms birthday! Ugh the interior is amazing and the service. The food and the drinks are okay. Like I would give this 4 stars because it's not like we would come back just for the food. But it was a great experience overall
google avatar

Jeremy G.

Yelp
This place is amazing! The food alone is worth the visit. We ordered the large steak that was shared among two people. It ranks right up there with the other top steakhouses in Dallas. The service is impeccable and the atmosphere is very nice without being stuffy. Our waiter was personable without being intrusive. We will definitely be back.

Yelp
This was our first visit to Dea. We loved it! They have this really cool area where you can watch them cook... which is where we sat. It was fun to see them prep the food, throwing items into the large wood fire oven! The food was delicious! We had the meatballs and Burrata appetizer. The Burrata was so good and had little slices of pear! Yum! We also had the Pappardelle Bolognese (my staple!) and the Salmon for entrees! Yum!

Danielle S.

Yelp
We went recently for a long-awaited date night. One of my mom's foodie friends recommended Dea and we were so excited. And her recommendation was spot on! Every dish was better than the last. The bone marrow was perfectly seasoned (which rarely happens), the crudo was fresh and light, and I could eat those gougeres daily with that truffle ricotta. The ribeye steak had the most gorgeous sear and was so delicious. The pastas were homemade and amazing too -- loved the cacio e pepe. The food was amazing, but I have to give a shout-out to our server Brandon. He was AWESOME! He gave us great recommendations and truly cared about giving us the best experience possible. Like he suggested adding truffle paste into our cacio e pepe and it was EPIC. We just enjoyed chatting with him as well -- it's a huge reason we loved our meal. There were so many beautiful dishes coming out of the kitchen, I can't wait to go back and try more of them. And we will definitely be asking for Brandon!!!

Yelp
I wish we had heard of Dea sooner! We had a lovely dinner that, from start to finish, could have easily been more expensive and I wouldn't have thought twice. We went early on a Saturday evening and had the dining room to ourselves. The ambiance was open and inviting. The staff were all very friendly and our waiter was incredibly attentive, never letting our water glasses be less than half full. The bar seemed lively and I almost wished we had ditched our reservations and sat there instead. Regardless we started with drinks. Their cocktail and wine menu is huge and I loved that they had a picture book to accompany their specialty and classic cocktails. I decided on a cocktail that featured sorbet - it was so crisp and refreshing! My husband, the more decisive between us, picked a great glass of red wine. We then chose the whipped ricotta as our app and couldn't have been happier. The ricotta is ultra creamy and paired with bright tomatoes, basil, and a balsamic reduction that is simply a perfect bite with their focaccia. We then ordered the aaa salad which was a shareable portion. It was tasty but not the highlight of our meal. For our mains we ordered the seared king salmon and the pomodoro spaghetti with meatballs added. The salmon was just a touch overdone for my liking but was so well balanced with a creamy mushroom risotto, crisp fried leeks, and a burst of brightness from the charred lemon. I stole a bite of the spaghetti and the pasta was perfectly al dente, the sauce had that simmered-all-day flavor, and the meatballs were seasoned to perfection. Overall an amazing meal at Dea and we will certainly be back!

Yelp
We enjoy celebrating a good night out but hate crowds, so our yearly Valentine's Day dinner always takes place on a date that is decidedly not February 14. This year, we chose Dea as our destination. The menu is concise with about 3-4 offerings per course. Bone marrow to start and a shared house salad to round us into our entrees of handmade pasta - pappardelle bolognese and arrabiata casarecce (braised octopus). There seemed to be a unifying theme throughout our entire meal - saltiness. The bone marrow was topped with very a salty black garlic jus. Both pastas were intensely salted. The salad was a decent salad, but topped with some (wait for it) salty mixed peppers. We don't consider ourselves particularly adverse to salty foods. I'm not sure if we just happened to come on a night when the cooks were more salt-happy than usual, but wow, we drank a lot of water. Pastas were good, but not great. Slightly smaller portions so that you don't get full. Freshly made pastas are great and honorable in theory, but the cooks at Dea seem to leave them boiling a bit too long, so they lose their "to the tooth"-ness. Our waiter Rob was quick and polite. Leaned a lot more into the dry humor than most waiters but not offensively so. And he offered us a complimentary (delicious and thankfully not overly salted) dessert since we also happened to be celebrating our anniversary that evening. Overall, Dea is an intimate and romantic establishment with good intentions and the makings for something spectacular, if those sharp, salty edges could just be smoothed out a bit.

Jimmy C.

Yelp
This 3 star is generous. The most disappointing Caesar salad I have ever had. Tasteless, lettuce not crisp, etc. Scampi linguini was tasty but the portion was small enough that my petite wife ate all of hers. She has not finished an entire entre portion in Dallas' better restaurants in years. The Genovese Rigatoni was good, not great. Again, very small portion. And agreed upon by all at our table "and" the table next to us, the at best 4 oz wine pours we received were unexplainable. Lady at the next table said they were much smaller than ones she has gotten here before (she was having cocktails that night and no wine). When our waiter was questioned about this, he took a look at several of the glasses and offered that it looked about right. One and done for us here.

Carlos G.

Yelp
I really would put this more as a 3.5 stars but that's not an option here. Thats not to say that we didn't enjoy our meal or that the food was bad. It was quite good but nothing that really made me go WOW! It was our first time there since it switched over and I really liked the way the restaurant was updated. The separation from the dining room to the bar is quite nice and the decor is appealing. But next time, I think I want to eat in the bar as it felt more fun and casual. I did find the dining room to be dark and loud and honestly really way too crowded. I made a joke to the hostess that there were 6 inches open and they could probably squeeze a table of 4 in there. She politely smiled. LOL But the atmosphere was nice. Waiter was helpful and was quick to tell us all the "popular" dishes (which is a turn off to me). We split the AAA (arugula, asparagus and artichoke heart) salad. It was bright and lemony. Very tasty. For our entree, we had the scallops served over a cassoulet. It's a rich and warm and really filing. The flavors were deep and rich, but not particularly surprising or intriguing. Again, the food was solid and well done. The flavors were good. As a neighborhood restaurant, I would happily come back.

Kathy B.

Yelp
Not only was the food outstanding, but the service was amazing. This is my new favorite Italian restaurant. I went with two friends and we shared the Genovese Rigatoni, the Bolognese Pappardelle, the meatballs (unreal), the sausage and mushroom flatbread and the Lynae's AAA salad. All were a 10! Our server recommended everything and it was amazing! The Lemmon Drops with blackberries and hibiscus were fabulous too! Going back tonight with the same group and we cant wait. We sat at the bar, great vibes! Bon Appetite!

Yelp
I always have a great experience at Dea - the owners are super engaged in the business and it shows. The staff is knowledgeable, attentive and truly gets it; the food is consistently delicious. I'm not typically a review writer but our meal tonight was stellar and so worthy of the effort. The Bisteca Fiorientina was a special on the menu and hands down it was by far the best steak I've had in Dallas in years. It was cooked perfectly at rare plus, the flavor was outstanding - every bite was heaven in my mouth! Amazing seasoning on a really nice cut of beef. The entire meal was fabulous as always but that steak is already calling me back!!! Thank you Dea!

Yelp
Everything about this place is absolutely outstanding. Thinking of going to Carbone? Save your money. This place is 10 x better with exceptional service and no fanfare. From the eggplant caponata to our pasta dishes, mushrooms and dessert - it was exceptional from start to finish. And the service was friendly and attentive - absolutely perfect! As an Italian take it from me - possibly the best in Dallas!

Great service, unique and very good food, wonderful ambience. Definitely would go back and try other stuff on the differentiated menu. Whipped ricotta was amazing. The baked Alaska 'show' dessert was way cool. The steak was great and the drinks were awesome, too.

Yelp
The atmosphere was good. Volume was on the louder side so if you're looking for a quite dinner or a place to visit with friends this may be a miss. We got off to a rocky start with no contact after being seated for at least 10 minutes. But when we did get greeted, our waiter was enthusiastic and friendly. The drinks were all spot on. We did cocktails and wine without a miss. Food was good but not necessarily exceptional. We ordered a salad which was never brought to our table. For mains we ordered the filet cooked medium (overcooked but still okay), halibut, rigatoni (very good), and scallops. For sides we ordered the broccolini (delicious) and the gratin potatoes. Dessert was a stand out..olive oil cake is a must. Overall a good but not fabulous experience. Worth a try but not going to be in our regular rotation.

Yelp
Disappointing. Food was average. Had multiple appetizers, nothing special even though they were highly recommended by waiter. Main course ok but not great.service seemed very rushed like they wanted to turn the table. Would not go back

Yelp
Food was delicious. Pepe was our waiter and he provided excellent service. Meatballs, whipped ricotta, and Dea salad were stand out starters. We split the Cacio Pepe and halibut. Cacio Pepe was the highlight! Cooked perfectly and had amazing flavor. Halibut was good, but wasn't remarkable. Complimentary olive oil cake for our anniversary was good, but we were stuffed by the time it came out. Really good wine list and cocktails. Will be back!

Yelp
Had a lovely experience with my husband. The specials were delicious and the service was very attentive. The cocktails were also amazing. We will definitely learn.

Yelp
We've been excited to eat at Dea, and it was 100% worth it! We started at the bar, Chris treated us like family. I had the Ciao Bella-excellent! We were seated upstairs for dinner, it was a very cool vibe. JP was our server, and we had the house salad, scampi and scallops. All excellent. Thanks for the awesome meal and service!

Yelp
Spot on! Been here several times. I ran a restaurant with a very similar menu. I'm extremely tough on execution and overall experience; this place nails it! This is a minor - very minor critique- their hot tea service needs to be perfected. They got it right but it took them a while.

Yelp
If you want to yell all evening, this is your place! Omg, the four of had to shout at each other for the entire 90 minutes. My sister and I took our parents to dinner...our 94-year old dad has ordered Manhattans all of his life, but at Dea, his came in a glass the size of an expresso cup--it was embarrassing--it was gone in about 3 sips. My dad was seriously not happy. The steak tartare was just okay, something was seriously lacking. Service was okay, our waiter was really wonderful, but it was so loud that even though it had been clarified twice to him that we wanted two of the same dish, he still thought two people wanted to share that dish, and only one came when everyone was served. The main dishes were wonderful, but it was so incredibly loud and chaotic that we all left feeling exhausted and agreed we'd never go back!

Yelp
We came here for my mom's birthday and had a fantastic evening. We got the caponata and a lobster toast special for the appetizers, which were in fact appetizing, not too big but just enough with some interesting flavors that leave you wanting more. We ordered wagyu, the cacio e Pepe pasta, and a ceasar salad, and we loved every bite of it. The wagyu was easily the highlight, cooked to a perfect medium, with a hint of sweetness that complemented the soft, meaty flavor. Ambiance is great too so if you're looking for that, you will definitely find that here. Special shout-out to our server, Rob, for guiding us through the menu, as well as the manager Chuck who nicely checked on how we were doing and was kind enough to escort us out the door when we were done.

Yelp
My family and I had been so excited to try Dea, especially since it's women-owned. We made a reservation, sat down and we're there 5 minutes before we left. Our waiter, whose name we never got, made me and my mom extremely uncomfortable. For such a nice establishment, his attitude and demeanor certainly did not uphold that standard. His attitude was tasteless and undignified and his, what I think were meant to be jokes or digs, made us two women dining alone very unsettled. We remembered we had free will and left after he brought out our water. We had ordered a bottle of sparkling water and didn't want to leave it and he couldn't even give us a wine stopper or anything to cork it for the road.

Yelp
Whether you're looking for great food, great service, or great ambience, Dea has got you covered. Our server JP was so attentive and amazing. Manager Connor was very personable and friendly too. We sat in clear view of the kitchen and got to watch the incredible cooks make our delicious meals. One cook in particular, Marvel "Money", was very fun to watch as he performed his artistry. After making our amazing meal, he came out to say hi and introduce himself. Overall, it was a great experience and we can't wait to go back.

Yelp
Had such a memorable evening! The food was outstanding, especially the Rigatoni Genovese. Home run.....will definitely be back. Still daydreaming about the craft cocktails, impeccable service and most importantly, the pasta.
