NYC’s New Restaurant Openings - New York - The Infatuation

"Debbie’s Burgers in Bushwick is from the owners of Sigmund’s Pretzels, and though they serve their griddled patties on potato buns, they do have a pretzel-shaped donut for dessert. The rest of the menu is short—you can choose between a single or double, and add chili or loaded fries if you want." - will hartman, willa moore, molly fitzpatrick, sonal shah, bryan kim

Really solid burger - was looking forward to trying this new spot for a while now. The restaurant itself is spacious and has a retro-warehouse vibe. Very nice ambience. I ordered one chili cheeseburger and one regular cheeseburger. Both were excellent and the patties had a unique charred flavor & crunchy texture which I really enjoyed. Didn’t manage to get great pics but would highly recommend - you won’t regret giving Debbie’s a try

The HYPE is real at Debbie’s! Debate amongst yourself but there’s a new contender for best burger in Bushwick. This burger is of the lacy skirt variety if you truly a burger lover you’ll know that’s a top tier burger. Not only is the food legit and tasty they built a fun atmosphere inside the burger shop that feels very much like a motorcycle garage. The ordering experience is state of the art tech no need to handle and cash at all. The fries are also very good. At the end of the meal they give you a complementary donut that looks like a state fair pretzel and tastes like funnel cake. Truly a unique experience that you can stumble upon or find via word of mouth.

Interesting place definitely worth checking out. It’s got a vintage vibe, colorful lighting. Cool seating. Weirdly calming vibe. You order on a screen and you can see the staff cooking. Somehow the vibe helped me really sink into the eating experience, not kidding. The burger is delicious, super flavorful. Really really good. Fries are shoestring style and a little crispy. Not my absolute favorite style but fine enough. Prices are pretty good. Double cheese and fries was something like $16.50

Amazing smash burger. Great crust, perfect salt, classic cheese, onion, pickle sauce. But that burger... Perfect. And thin fries, cooked to a light crisp. I will 100% take an hour on 2 trains to get this burger many times.

I went by Debbie’s to pick up an order online, after I walked past the other day and discovered they had just opened. So the reason I’m giving 5 stars to atmosphere and service is because I intended to tie my dog outside while I walked in to pick up the order, but the owner/chef brought it straight out to me and was very polite. That’s a win. Atmosphere, because they were showing Futurama on TV, and that’s always gonna get points from me. Me and my wife got their double cheeseburgers, and they were perfect. The patties were crisp and seasoned well, the sauce, cheese, onions and pickles were perfectly balanced, and even though I prefer Potato buns to brioche, these looked and tasted amazing. The boxes they came in kept them super warm, even when walking home with them. Debbie’s is new, and while they’re getting their hours and staffing fixed, I have to say that this has become a favorite pretty quickly. I’ve spent the past 20+ years in hospitality, and I’m really excited to tell my friends about this place. Can’t wait to return for more.

If you’re on the fence- just go. I rarely leave reviews. 1000% worth the hype - a must try NYC best smashburger !!! Really really really good. BURGER: Crispy, caramelized edges that burst with juice in every bite. Cheese melted into every crevice, perfectly thin sliced pickles added cold, snappy contrast. Pillowy bun with just the right toast to hold it together. Salty, tangy, juicy it all just worked. FRIES: That golden kind you can smell before you even open the box. Hot, crispy, and perfectly imperfect with loads of dipping sauces to choose from. The kind you eat one after another without meaning to, until suddenly they’re gone. Salty enough to satisfy, but not so much they overpower the burger. Perfect. DONUT: addicting. weirdly loved more than I thought I would. PRICE: super thoughtful setup! no cash, tip included, and a fair price- in nyc!!!!! After being hit with ATM fees and extra charges all over the city everything about this place felt refreshing. VIBE: Even though it’s “just” a burger spot, it kind of gave me neighborhood vibe like a place that could start hosting trivia nights like a place that brings community. Idk. Felt like I was at home and wanted to stay a while. Wholeheartedly recommend. This was the perfect way to end my NYC trip- and 100% worth the bike ride to Bushwick.

I really enjoyed my burger (cheeseburger with chilli) and fries. The fries were perfect ..crunchy on the outside and potatoey on the inside. My roommate thought his double cheeseburger was a little dry, but thats an easy fix. The space is really cool, almost a retro burger joint vibe and my order was ready quickly and they were very nice.

Small spot just off Bushwick Ave, beaconing you inside with its ambient purple glow streaming from an open garage door. Simple menu but anything but a simple bite. Delectably crispy wagyu patty, incredible homemade chili, shoestring fries. Booth seating and Futurama’s on 24/7, but it’s more entertaining watching Chef diligently make each bite. Did I mention the awesome vintage mopeds?
