Deeney's Cafe

Great atmosphere. Lovely coffee coming out from a beautiful navy blue La Marzocco. The waiter with a ponytail is very hardworking and courteous.

Discovered Deeney’s at the Morris Gallery today and it was such a lovely surprise. I had the mandarin and chocolate café loaf cake (gluten-free) and an oat milk chai latte — both were delicious, with really well-balanced flavours. Loved being able to sit with my laptop in a calm and welcoming space. So grateful they offer gluten-free options — not always easy to find. I’d definitely come back!

We visited Deeneys Café at WMG in Lloyd Park, Walthamstow this afternoon. We had a “Macbeth” Toastie and "The Bacon One"Toastie. Both were freshly made and arrived piping hot, with crispy buttery toasted bread outside. The Macbeth was filled with delicious haggis, cheese, rocket and mustard. The Bacon One had crispy bacon, a generous portion of melted cheddar, onion chutney and rocket. Both were delicious and we ate them with a pot of perfectly brewed steaming hot breakfast tea…. The staff were very friendly and and welcoming and we chose to enjoy our meal sitting outside on the balcony on a mild sunny afternoon, overlooking the beautiful gardens of the museum. We highly recommend this cafe and will definitely be returning!

Top Scottish breakfast. Good quality food. Minced haggis was my favourite. Also the Mac Beth toastie was the best toastie I’ve eaten so far highly recommend it. Will be back again

I had the pleasure of visiting Deeneys at the William Morris Gallery and was absolutely blown away by their incredible toasties! They truly have the best toasties I've ever had. The combination of flavors and quality of ingredients is simply outstanding. Not only that, but the staff were amazing—friendly, attentive, and truly passionate about what they do. A visit to Deeneys is an absolute must for anyone in search of delicious comfort food served with a smile. Highly recommended!

Lovely staff! Very friendly. High-quality food at excellent prices. The roasties may seem expensive but I had a chicken on yesterday for around £9 and it was packed with huge chunks of chicken. I have had a grilled cheese at the Dusty Knuckle for £7.50 and Deeney’s toastie was more substantial. Lovely friendly and polite staff! Leo very kindly took a photo of a group of us for our friend’s birthday. You don’t have to wait for a table but it can get very crowded - as it is so good. Do visit! I would highly recommend it.

A lovely cafe at the back of the William Morris Gallery, facing the backyard garden. The breeze comes in and the room is surrounded by trees and sunshine. The toasts were delicious, and the staff are super friendly.

Great cafe in the William Morris museum. The seating at the back might be rare on the weekends but has great view and has great atmosphere. Inside is a bit more like a busy cafe and maybe a bit difficult to get a table sometimes but it’s worth it to try the Macbeth toastie which you definitely can’t make at home as well. The haggis is so good, exactly how I have had in Scotland. It’s rich and savoury, and the bread is big and buttery. The sandwich is big enough to split with someone if you’re not too hungry. I think they have vegetarian options too. The service was also very friendly and coffee and cakes were great too.
