Dekalb Market Hall is a vibrant food destination in Downtown Brooklyn, featuring a mix of iconic and new vendors amidst a lively atmosphere.
"While many of the vendors inside Dekalb Market have been doing takeout and delivery for some time, the new outdoor space includes an outpost of Katz’s Deli, Caribbean food from Likkle More Jerk, Fujianese food from 100 Percent Mr. Lin, and mini doughnuts from Cuzins Duzins’. The outdoor market is located on Gold Street, within Willoughby Square Park, and is open Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Check on the market’s Instagram account for the latest updates." - Erika Adams, Tanay Warerkar
"While you’re walking around Dekalb Market Hall deciding whether you want spam musubi, empanadas, or any of the other excellent offerings, pop over to tea makers and grab a bubble tea to help make your decision. They have milky and fruity teas, plus, if you recently lost a stuffed animal, Tea Makers has bear cups, so you can get yourself a quick replacement." - Will Hartman, Willa Moore
"An older food court with several stalls currently untenanted." - Robert Sietsema
"What do you do about a fried chicken sandwich that’s too hard to pick up? Deconstruct, or grab a knife and fork. I tried both and neither was quite satisfactory — but that didn’t interfere with my extreme enjoyment of this sandwich ($7). Yes, it comes on a small brioche bun, but that bun is piled so high with fried chicken and greenery that it’s more vertical rather than horizontal. A hot sandwich that starts with chicken fried to order finishes with papaya slaw and garlic mayo that adds a creamy tartness — with some pickled purple onions in there, somewhere." - Robert Sietsema
"Dekalb Market Hall debuted in June 2017 with an impressive roster of vendors that included Katz’s Delicatessen, Arepa Lady, and Ample Hills. As it goes, several stalls have already cycled through, but these days vendors like BK Jani, known for its Pakistani-style burger with mint chutney, and newcomer Baby’s Buns & Buckets serving Thai American comfort food, are some of the standouts worth queuing for before a movie upstairs or shopping at the Trader Joe’s." - Eater Staff
