I Didn’t Choose To Come Here, I Was Treated. After Trying Some Of The Items On The Menu I Know I Will Not Be Returning. The Baby Back Ribs Were Tender, But They Weren’t Seasoned. I Don’t Eat Ribs With A Bunch Of BBQ Sauce. The Sides Need A Lot Of Work. I Didn’t Like Any Of Them. Oh Yea The Cornbread Was Edible.

During my visit to Philly my friend said she wanted to prove to me that Philly had a spot with good Barbecue. She ordered the shareable platter that had several items … brisket, ribs, chicken and we selected potato salad, beans and white coleslaw. We weren’t asked if we wanted barbecue sauce on the side or on the meat. Well the meats arrived drenched in barbecue sauce … a no for me. A for sure tale tell sign the meat isn’t seasoned. You can’t get the true taste of meat like that. I asked them to take the ribs back and to bring some without sauce. Sure enough, the meat was bland and tasteless. The sides well let’s just say … a no for me! I couldn’t figure out what the heck they did with the potato salad but it is horrible! The coleslaw and beans, not good either. This was an expensive epic fail … I was not impressed the food was not good at all and showed me nothing. They have to come much better than this to prove they have good barbecue. The waiter was pleasant and service good, that’s it! Fail on the food! 🙄😱 $81 wasted!!!!🤷🏾‍♀️ I “do not” recommend. July 18, 2024 Just read the response to my review. Reviews are written so people have a true unbiased view of the food and service-of a restaurant to make decisions about dining and to help the restaurant make improvements. If you expect all reviews to be favorable you are mistaken. I call it like I see it. The food wasn’t good and a waste of money.

Ordered barbecue chicken and it was totally bloody to the bone! Bone looked like the chicken was just killed. Spoke to the manager showed her the chicken and she told me it was cooked to spec!!! Didn’t even offer to replace the food!! Instead she said that’s what chicken cooked on wood looks like!!

See previous reviews I haven't learned, well l learnt TODAY! Never again I... I keep coming back I wont be back! Wasting my hard earned cash. Supposed to be a slab and it look like left overs. And the other look likes it's all good but it's not WTH 🤔. I don't know who you have back there in the kitchen cooking but damn...last time they was a little burnt but taste good and looked good. So you know read the reviews people and check your food before you leave the premises. This was from four months\/ I've ordered from here before always take out. Nice, always polite and helpful on the phone. Baby back ribs that end piece was as hard a rock and not enough sauce. I know the ends could have been cut off and used in the other sides. If ya sell the whole slab let it be evenly cooked. Tender not crispy, not even crispy just overcooked? and hard. If I pay a lot of money and of course they are way smaller than the other ribs, which were delicious by the way, let it be edible like baby back is supposed to be. 🤷 Otherwise they are rough backs. This review was from two weeks ago, I just saw some things I had to correct, so I did an edit. Thanks Google This review is from September 2024 I just checked this review again, not that Google says my photos are pending. So who or what! Any other time I post photos they upload. Will contact Google because I had photos of those night and day ribs and I forgot to mention how the Chick was that I spoke to on the phone. No apologies, they knew those ribs they gave me were picked over.. never again and I have not. Go to Mission BBQ y'all

Everyone at Deke’s was so nice. I had the Sloppy Doc fries, made vegetarian by using the vegan sloppy Joe. Every element of it was so good. Pickles were fresh, coleslaw well balanced, cheese sauce creamy and homemade. Not a food you can reheat, so I said Oh well. Went ahead and indulged and just put the hurt on myself with it. Worth it. My dad also enjoyed his brisket nachos.

The food was incredible and a great deal! You get so much bang for your buck! The outdoor space is super cool and there are plenty of activities to do. You don’t wait long for food, which is a huge plus. We briefly met one of the owners and she was super nice. Great customer service! (Pic of the famous brisket cheesesteak)

Came here on a Monday afternoon, ordered a full slab of ribs & the loaded wedges with pulled pork, Cole slaw & pickles on it. The ribs were out of this world!! Fall of the bone meat, great bbq sauce, and a huge portion. The wedges were really good too.

Under whelming is the best way to describe this place. I had the brisket and chicken empanadas. Both were not worth my time or money. 1. Everything is al carted, so be prepared to pay the price to eat here. 2. The food is simply not seasoned to perfection. I had brisket. It was tender, but that's it. No flavors at all. 3. The price for such small portions is crazy.... I had high hopes in finding a great bbq spot close to my house. After eating here, I still haven't found it. This place is overpriced and you definitely won't be visiting flavortown. I've been looking for a bbq place to visit on a regular basis and dekes fail the test. If you want meh it's ok food and good beer don't come here if you are looking to be wowed by the food this is NOT the place to go. They should not be comparing themselves to Texas bbq because they aren't even close to hitting that level. Overall, I say go here for a game. Have some beer, and don't expect the food to be amazing. You will have a good time for sure. If you are craving bbq and want good food. Keep searching they don't have it here. You're better off going to Angry Deekin's or Sweet Lucy's
