Where to Find a Great Steak Around Denver - Eater Denver

"Massive servings of dry-aged, corn fed-classics such as the ribeye and New York strip have long drawn the suit and tie crowd to the unassuming corner of the Denver Tech Center occupied by this steak destination. Those with the biggest appetites and wallets splurge on the “Double Eagle.” a 32 oz. ribeye. The prime steak salad, meanwhile, makes an appealing option for sampling Del Frisco’s trademark beef during the daylight hours." - Josie Sexton, Gigi Sukin, Paul Albani-Burgio

Google
Love that they are open all day and not just at 5pm like some of the other steak houses. Definitely more pricey than a Eddie Merlots, but pretty close to a Shanahans. delicious ribeye. Decent Chateau potatoes. The surf & turf trio is interesting, 3 filet medallions with a single shrimp, mini crab cake and piece of lobster tail. Was celebrating a job promotion and they got me a piece of their hibiscus strawberry cheesecake which was nice of them

Celebrated my 30th birthday here and we were very impressed. EVERY server/staff member we passed by greeted us with a friendly welcoming and farewell. The way they stopped to make eye contact with us is not something you see everyday!! The atmosphere on a Saturday night is busy with tables, however our server was attentive and made sure we were well taken care of. We admired how friendly the general manager is, making sure to stop at every table and welcome us. There was a table nearby with children and he took the time to interact with them. Very impressed with their hospitality! Onto the food- FANTASTIC! Highly recommend the Prime Strip and Prime Ribeye. Full of flavor and cooked very well. The birthday cheesecake and orange creamsicle desserts were delicious. We really enjoyed the speciality cocktail and mocktail for breast cancer awareness month. I love that they do this! We hope to return the next time we visit Colorado. Thanks for a wonderful evening!

Google
I will preface my review with this. I have been to numerous high end steak houses in the metro area and around the USA. With that being said, my wife and I went to Del Frisco's for a date night since we had not been there before. Upon arrival, our hostess was very nice and greeted us in a very nice manner. Our waiter was also great, and he was attentive the entire time we were there. Needless to say, Service was great. Let's keep in mind, we spent just under $300.00 for two of us. Now the food....... We started with the calamari appetizer, and I must say it was disappointing. The calamari itself were average but the vast amount of sweet chili sauce it was emersed in was overwhelming and overpowering. Not good. I have had some great Ribeye steaks in my time, and I cannot say that I was impressed with my steak from Del Frisco's. My ($85) steak was overcooked and dry and the mashed potatoes were overpowering with salt and butter. On top a having a $35 drink, I expected to have a better meal. My wife ordered seared ahi tuna which looked great and tasted good. unfortunately, the veggies layered under the tuna contained some pretty spicy jalapeno peppers which overpowered the plate. Not a bad tuna but my wife could not enjoy the veggies. Also the restaurant is very dark and almost gloomy. It's nice be able to hear the other person across the table speak but the ambiance needs a little more light. All in all, the food can use improvement. I don't normally like to complain because I love food and I do not skimp on the price. but this first visit was not up to par and I don't think we will be going back to eat here. Thank you to the great staff at the restaurant, you all work very hard and are professional.

Google
Came on a birthday date and it was a first time for both. Good food, 45 day aged strip, and crab cakes as entrees, lobster mac and mushroom for sides. Steak was prepared perfect and crab cakes were excellent (date is from Maryland said they're just as good as in Maryland). Servers were knowledgeable and pleasant but, the MOD seemed like he didn't want to be there and it was a little distracting from the atmosphere for me. I didn't have direct interaction but he was frequently visible looking perturbed or stressed. Could be personality or a situation but, I only mention because it distracted from the overall great experience we were having.

We went here for our anniversary & we’re so happy with our choice. Serena was amazing. We were treated special from the moment we walked thru the door. Food was amazing. Highly recommend!

Google
My wife and I came here for a quick bite in the bar and thoroughly enjoyed our experience! We were visiting from out of town and after a long day, we wanted to unwind at an upscale spot. It was somewhat of a late arrival so the bar wasn’t too crowded. The atmosphere was great and gave off a swanky yet comfortable vibe! Both bartenders took great care of us all night. They made my wife some fantastic mocktails, her favorite being the Watermelon Mint Cooler (but with sprite in place of the zero proof rum). I had a delicious Old Fashioned that was made with Earl Grey Tea Syrup and Earl Grey bitters. I was a little skeptical about the Earl Grey components but the bartender assured me it was good and wow was she right! Their full menu obviously looked amazing but we were only in the mood for a quick bite so we went off the bar menu and started with an order of their Wagyu Meatballs and both ordered the Del’s Cheeseburger. The meatballs were absolutely amazing - the flavor was great, the sauce was delicious, and there was a red pepper slice on top of each one that added a great spice. The burgers were fantastic and also had great flavor and were cooked to perfection. This was such a great bar experience and we both mentioned how we’re going to dine in on the restaurant side the next time we’re in town. Thank you for such a wonderful evening!!

Google
Excellent service. Food was delicious filet medallion lunch and amazing toffee bread pudding dessert. Visited the bar this time. Good service, tasty bar menu, but absolute favorite Tiramisu Creme Brulee. Lunch portion size was definitely smaller and price increase. The bread is still decadent encased with warm butter. Bar service was great. Chicken was very good with jous. The warm butter cake is definitely a favorite! So moist! Bone in filet mignon

We had drinks and delicious cuisine before a concert at Fiddlers. Great service and food!

Yelp
Hands down, Del Frisco's has one of my favorite salads in Denver. Fresh salad greens, dried apple and pear, carrots, and candied bacon alongside an avocado ranch; absolutely devine. Pillowy soft sweet rolls. The 16oz strip was surprisingly tender and juicy. Fresh shrimp! Service was wonderful and attentive; they were super organized, the dinner went seamless even with 20+ people in attendance. Servers were personable and very friendly, which is always a plus. I was not expecting the restaurant to be carpeted, but it honestly made it feel way more cozy and intimate. The dim lighting and ultra comfy seating made this place that much more worth it. Can't wait to come back.

Yelp
Wow! It's definitely what you expect from a good fancy steakhouse! I came with a bunch of coworkers. To start, service was impeccable. In a dark and fancy space that definitely reflected the menu and prices. We started with some amazing drinks. I had the signature tequila old fashioned. It was Smokey and delicious! I then followed it up with a regular old-fashioned. It was superb also. We got several starters for the table. The calamari was some of the best I've ever had! Poor belly was amazing too, as well as a really good crabcake. For dinner I got the surf and turf. It seemed like a small portion, but the taste was outstanding. I had more than I could eat with everything got. For sides, we got the au gratin potatoes, cream, spinach, and lobster mac & cheese The Mac was good, but to me, you grew potatoes or some of the best ever! Overall, this is a very expensive place to go for something special, but I feel it was worth it. With the service, an amazing drinks and delicious food.

Yelp
Man, I haven't been here in a long time, and it was long overdue. I really enjoyed everything about this experience. I walked in without a reservation, grabbed a booth at the bar, and received excellent service. I was in and out in just an hour on a Saturday at 6 p.m.--impressive. Service was prompt, drinks were great, and the bread was delicious. The salad was fresh, i had the wedge. Steak was cooked to perfection. I ordered the 8-ounce filet, and the cream corn ended up being the highlight of the meal. I'll definitely be adding this spot back into my rotation!

Yelp
Service here was terrible, and mean terrible with a capital T. The waitress was aloof and unfriendly. I gave her my drink order, but it never came. I ate my entire dinner with nothing but the water that was on the table. After I was finished with my meal she casually came up to me and asked if I ever got my drink, I looked at her with a shocked look and said no. she said she gave it to the bar but it was never made. My food consisted of a petite fillet mignon. that has so much black pepper encrusted on it, that the pepper is all I could taste, I had to scrape a thick black layer off before I could even taste the meat! The mashed potatoes were cold and the asparagus were hard (the meager few that I got). For desert I had a "cheesecake" but it didnt look or taste anything like a cheesecake, It had the consistency of old hard Jello. The only good part of the entire meal was the salad. Very poor experience.

Yelp
It always humors me when I read reviews about the "Best Steakhouse" in Denver or Colorado. The good ones are all the same! The steakhouse has an excellent lunch menu with great value. I recommend this steakhouse to all my friends and family. I'm recommending it to YOU!

Yelp
Back at Del Friscos for another anniversary dinner. The service was impeccable - Melissa was friendly, polite and efficient. We both ordered the Del's salad, which was a favorite until tonight. Apparently they don't put the thick cut bacon strips on the salad anymore. Our salads were served with no bacon at all so we asked Melissa about it. We were then served tiny cups with some pieces of regular bacon to sprinkle on our salads. It was just not the same. After our entrees were served, the very gracious manager, Robert, came to our table with a plate of bacon. He said Landry's had changed the bacon on the salads but due to customer complaints they were bringing it back. Because we had moved on from the salads, he took the plate of bacon away. Our filets were good - not amazing - and the au gratin potatoes were great. Melissa brought us a beautiful but tiny square of strawberry hibiscus cheesecake that was delicious. The staff was perfect - a 180 degree turn around from our last visit. But I still prefer lunch over dinner.

Yelp
I did a corporate lunch event here a few weeks ago, and cannot say enough good things about the venue, the staff, and the food. We were in the Colorado Room, and Nicole helped ensure that our event ran smoothly. She took care in getting our custom menus created and event organized ahead of time, and Kimberly provided absolutely impeccable service throughout. The food was SO good. Our guests all commented on how much they enjoyed everything. The GM came out at the end to make sure that we were happy with our experience, which was white glove from start to finish. I am so appreciative of the Del Frisco staff and would absolutely book here again. Well done!

Yelp
We thought the 8 ounce tenderloin steaks were fabulous. However, the baked potato and Caesar salad were disappointing. The Caesar salad didn't have a very tangy dressing and seemed like it was made eight hours previously. The baked potato was the size of a small football and was not cooked through in the middle. The Service was attentive for the most part. We did like the ambience in that we sat in the area of the old cigar room. That may not sound great, but it is a secretly quiet spot on the inside of the restaurant. The cigar room is long gone.

Yelp
I dined here in late May. Per usual, when I head off to an adventure out of state, I dined out at a nice restaurant in the Denver area. I've been wanting to try Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steakhouse for a while. First off, they have their own parking lot and valet service. The front entrance is within reasonable walking distance from the parking lot. As you enter the restaurant, you will see the hostess station in front of you and you will notice that the lighting is dim. The hostess was friendly and acknowledged my birthday. She also wished me a happy birthday. I don't believe that my waiter did this. However, nice gesture on behalf of the hostess and Del Frisco's. I had multiple wait staff for dining on that evening. They brought me fresh dinner rolls which are heavenly. Be careful not to overindulge on the rolls so that you can save room for your meal. I ordered a salad which was great, their pork chop and two sides. I can't think of the sides that I ordered but overall they were good. I was told my wait staff that Del Frisco's is known for their steaks. Just know that they offer other menu items besides steaks. They have seafood, lamp chops and chicken on their menu as well. Pork chop was good but not great. I've had better. For dessert, they offered me a small slice of cheesecake that's featured as a birthday dessert. It wasn't bad at all. What made my experience less than ideal is when the waiter brought me back my receipt after charging my card. It came across as he was tossing the bill of sale and receipt on the table then immediately walking away without proper closure. He said nothing to me. If that was me, I would've said something like, "Thank you for dining with us this evening sir. It's been a pleasure. We hope to see you again." What threw me off about my waiter (head waiter out of my servers that evening) this evening is that he was overall easy to talk to, light hearted, offered advice on menu options, and provided good service. He didn't bookend the interaction with me amicably and for that I'm giving 3 stars rather than 4+. I felt it was odd that prior to paying my bill, he offered to sign me up for a credit card or similar financial offer. I politely declined. Afterwards, he took my credit card along with bill to close it out. Again, the ending was poor. I'm in no hurry to return to Del Frisco's. Food was good but not great and the service could definitely use improvement. Management, please take note that it's not all about the food. Good or great customer service will inspire me to return soon.

Yelp
Always great service and delicious food. Sometimes it's just a tad bit too dark inside, I know that goes along with the ambiance but it doesn't help us old folks !

Yelp
Del Frisco's in DTC has been around for a while - a great restaurant operating in a competitive category. The bone-in ribeye was awesome and the service friendly & smooth on a slower evening. Del is dimly lit and fairly quiet: classic white tablecloth steakhouse vibe.

Yelp
Omg we love Del Frisco's for an amazing experience and absolutely wonderful food. The service was fantastic with a great romantic atmosphere. I would highly recommend DelFrisco's for a special occasion with a fantastic meal.

Yelp
My husband went out to dinner with some friends and offered to bring back something for me. I looked over the menu and was interested in the lobster macaroni and cheese. I was asleep when my husband brought it home, so I wasn't able to enjoy it that night. No big deal. I decided to heat it up for lunch today. A fantastic treat like lobster mac and cheese for lunch is sure to be comforting and delightful. I was wrong. It was insanely salty. I thought maybe I could ignore the saltiness. Perhaps it wasn't the entire dish. Sadly, despite tasting from different spots and stiring up the dish some more in a bowl, it was still way too salty. I even added a splash of fresh lemon and a touch of lemon zest since it's a seafood dish, and acids can help with excessive saltiness. Since it was already ruined, it couldn't hurt trying, right? Didn't help. I tried adding melted, unsalted butter because fat can absorb salt and help the taste... it was still totally inedible despite the pleasant lemon that stared to brighten it up . It looked so good and I couldn't enjoy it. It was painfully salty. That was a $26 dish that was a total waste. There wasn't even much lobster in it. The pasta was not aldente from the first bite. It was just all wrong. And since I'm clearly not at the restaurant, I can't exactly send it back for something else. That's just sad. Taste the food before deeming it fit to serve.

Yelp
Came here tonight for dessert and drinks. We came here all the time precovid to sit at the bar for dessert and drinks and this was our first time back. Everything was the same in the best way. Ordered a glass of wine and butter cake. Butter cake is amazing and a good size portion. We easily split this. Husband was sad the bread pudding was no longer on the menu. Will come back for more desserts.
google avatar

Simone O.

Yelp
Bread is now $3 for when you ask for a second batch (I've been coming here for at least 7 years and it's never been this way). Between five people, we split 3 sides in addition to everyone getting their own entree. We ordered either medium-rare or medium 16oz prime ribs and the medium-rare pieces were a little too medium as opposed to what we ordered. The sides portion seems to have shrunk a little bit because they always serve everyone a portion of the side when they come out and then we have maybe 1/3 of the side dish left for seconds. This time, they served out exactly 5 portions of the mac and cheese and the broccolini side dishes. We did say we were celebrating a graduation but they didn't offer us anything, such as a comped dessert, as they've done in the past. Overall, a lot of things have changed, portion size, attentiveness to the reason people are coming, not as great of an experience as all the times in the past that we've come. My medium steak was done well, but there was a skewer in it they forgot to take out before I got served, but still good. The steak size does seem to be smaller than past times as well. Not sure what has changed recently, if anything, but definitely different than all our past visits.

Yelp
If you're looking for an upscale fine dining experience then check out Del Frisco's. It's been around a long time and who ever did the interior decorating did a very, very good job. The lighting is the perfect of dim; it's intimate yet you can still see who you're with and the music is the perfect volume. I love that the servers dress nicely and are very friendly. They know the menu well and deliver the no substitute news very gracefully. I usually get a steak here but switched it up this time. The wedge salad is very good but I was disappointed with the sea bass, it was over seasoned. Whatever the seasoning was it overpowered the crab rice. The black bean sauce was good. Next time I'm going to stick to the turf and skip the surf.
google avatar

Al A.

Yelp
They open at 5pm not 4 like it says here on yelp, as well as their web page. We've been here a handful of times and it's always great food and service.
google avatar

Yelp
Date night for my love and I. He decided on the filet and I went for the crab cake appetizer and oysters. They brought buns which are a delish combo of butter, salt and sweet. So soft as well. The oysters went down smooth. Salty and tangy with the two sauces. And then the crab cake for me and filet for him. The sauce of the crab cake - Cajun lobster cream sauce - was too rich for me. A slight dip was fine for flavor but the crab cake itself was so good that it didn't need much. A plain butter sauce would have satisfied me more. To allow the crab to stand out more. His filet was so tender and well cooked. And seasoned with just enough that the crust was amazing. The constant servers coming with water and removing empty dishes was impressive. It made the main server's less attention not as noticeable. The whole dinner was nice. Nice to spend time with him.

Yelp
I was here for a company event. We had great service! The steak and sides were fantastic. I would definitely return without being there for an event! Great spot!
google avatar

Yelp
The food was excellent. The service was terrible. Halfway through the Service, our waiter completely abandoned us, we waited for over 20 minutes for our Water glasses to be replenished. I had to go to the bar to refill my drink. Sorry, but spend over $100 per person . I expect better service than that unacceptable. For the first time in probably 20 years. I left zero I mean no tip whatsoever. I did not feel a bit bad about it.

Yelp
Always a must visit when in the DTC area. Personally obsessed with their King Crab legs.

Yelp
What a fantastic night we had last night at Del Frisco. Myself, three brothers and our wives visited for Restaurant Week. Our server Sabrina was great, perfect connection for our group, she was spot on for customer service. I ordered the Beef Filet, and have to say it was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Everyone else in our group raved about the food. The only thing that put a damper on the evening was the ceiling fan above our table. Our server turned off for us, then the mgr turn back on, then one of us got up to turn off. By this time our deserts came, there was no occupied table within 20 feet. Then they turned it back on. We would have stayed longer, but we were uncomfortable. Such a disappointment not to find out why it kept getting turned off. For that, you lose the fifth star of a great night.

Yelp
With so many options of steak houses in Colorado, it is hard to choose which would be the best. Del Frisco's Double Eagle is definitely up there in my top 10 list. We had a late evening reservation but they accommodated us with an earlier time. Our server was really good. She was nice and attentive. For the most part the service was good, but when they brought out or food, the servers that did, were really sloppy. One dropped mash potatoes on my wife. It wasn't that big of a deal, but he seemed like he was in a rush and wasn't paying attention to the detail. The other dishes put on the table a little chaotic because they just put the dishes in the center of the table and not really in front of the person(s) that they're for. When they served our tomahawk steaks, they served them on dishes that weren't big enough for them. I understand that the bone of the tomahawk is long but serving them on a regular plate doesn't make for a good presentation. The restaurant itself was really clean and nice. Lights are set a little too low for me but that's just my preferene. Bathrooms are also clean and overall the whole restaurant was really nice. The food was pretty good. We ordered the tomahawks, ribeye, spicy king crab roll, dynamite shrimp, tuna sashimi, lobster bisque, crab cakes, and the lobster mac and cheese. The steaks were perfectly cooked, a perfect medium rare. But aside from that, the flavors were just pretty good. What really had the wow factor was the lobster mac and cheese. There was a lot of lobster meat and each bite was rich with goodness. I would definitely come back for that. The other sides were good as well except the king crab roll. That dish was lacking in flavor and there wasn't enough king crab meat.

Yelp
My husband and I took my dad to Del Frisco's for his birthday, so we were celebrating a special occasion. I didn't take any photos of our food because I don't normally photograph my dinner. However, I wish I would have just so I could add to this review! Our server, Abby, was very informative and attentive without smothering us. All of the support staff was fabulous about filling waters and removing plates. The lump crab appetizer was a delicious way to start the evening. Our entrees included a filet, a prime ribeye, and crab cakes, and we were all pleased with our choices. Side dishes were separate, and we chose the asparagus and the chateau mashed potatoes. So fabulous! Del Frisco's provided a birthday dessert for my dad, complete with birthday candle. We also ordered the butter cake to share. This was a perfect evening! It was quiet enough that we could hear our own conversation without yelling. And we didn't hear anyone else's conversations. The lighting and the decor made us feel like we were somewhere special. This was a great way to celebrate an important occasion. We all feel thoroughly pleased and pampered.

Yelp
Amazing menu and wine list, everything was delicious and the service was excellent. Went for lunch with friends and was impressed with the service, ambience and quality of the food!

Yelp
"Thanksgiving Dinner" with no turkey? We made a huge mistake. Dinner subpar. Not even pumpkin pie. Unamerican! Unpatriotic!

Yelp
My wife and I came in last night for a 7pm reservation and we opted to sit at a bar booth. There was lots of parking and tons of open tables. We received menus within a few minutes and then bread and water after 7-10 minutes. We watched all of the bartenders chat at the bar and after another 10 minutes, I got up and talked to the manager on duty as we had no server come to us and even offer cocktails. She was cordial but simply offered your card and we chose to leave since we were clearly not being helped after 20-25 minutes. I reached out to the GM with zero response, super disappointing.

John B.

Yelp
Too dark, music too loud, salmon presentation was bad, waiter was uninterested in us and too expensive!

Yelp
Loved this. We had a huge party and service and food were excellent. Steak had great flavor and I wish it was a little more done. Potatoes were a great balance of flavor. The best part was the butter cake. Amazing!!

Yelp
Came here for an anniversary with my boyfriend. He did let them know before hand and they were aware which was nice. They sat us at 4 person table, that should not be a 4 person table. Too many servers and staff move behind the person in the chairs. When we both sat on the booth side it was fine. Bread came right away, super buttery...would've been nice with some garlic and herbs on top. We ordered- drinks, salad, and meal. Salad came before the drinks, not great. The cesar salad was meh, not enough dressing or cheese. And the lettuce leaves were awkwardly cut. The burrata salad was okay, the tomatoes with the burrata was a good combo with the sweet balsamic. Better then the cesar at least, I ordered the filet with gratin potatoes, although I did ask if the bacon could be removed from the spinach. The waiter told me no , and forgot to mention there was also bacon in the potatoes (didnt say on the menu). The filet was the best part of the meal, was it worth $63? Meh, nah I've had better. The asparagus was very bland, needed lemon and some parm. The gratin potatoes were diced, usually they are sliced thin not diced. I has some of my boyfriends rib eye and it was decent. They did give us a complimentary dessert for our anniversary which was nice- but the "best tasting" deasert the butter cake was also meh. Overall for the price, I was not impressed. But my boyfriend was happy. Not sure if I'd come back unless he wanted too.

Yelp
I have been eating at Del Frisco's Restaurants around the country for years. The food and service is always consistent and would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Yelp
Over priced and it was not good do I really need to say more. Cooked poorly. Sent food back and it was replaced with something that was edible. Service was good. Clearly that is a standard that is important. Just do not expect great food.

Yelp
One of the few upscale steakhouses open for lunch. The setting was classic and elegant, suitable for business meetings and special occasions. The service was impeccable. Compared to their dinner, the lunch menu was limited, but still offered a good glimpse of their famed plates at more reasonable prices and manageable portions. Here are their Filet Medallions, Pan Roasted Salmon, Shanghai-Style Fried Calamari, Soup of the Day and Butter Cake.
google avatar

Gene S.

Yelp
Went here for a company meeting dinner. Everything was excellent. We all had steaks. Cooked to perfection and ordered about 6 different appetizers. Calamari was excellent but favorite was the seafood tower in middle of table. Went away with " To Go" bags and full and happy. Pleasant Dinner

Yelp
Not So Great Visit at Del Frisco for Thanksgiving We had a disappointing visit to Del Frisco's today. We decided to go out for Thanksgiving today. There were 10 of us. We placed our orders. Our appetizers of calamari, shrimp and meatballs came out and were all fantastic. It went down hill from there. We ordered two salads. We got one but not the other. We waited about 20 mins to ask for the second one thinking it was coming, but maybe they're busy. We finally got that. Then our main dishes (mostly steaks) arrived. Some got their sides. Some did not. We waited a bit to cut into steaks thinking our sides were coming. When they still didn't come, we again thought maybe the kitchen got busy, so we started eating. We were 1/2 way done when someone came, and were alerted that we were missing two potatoe dishes and asparagus. The server advised it had all been rung in, but the potatoes take 20mins, so she would make them to go and not charge us. The asparagus came as I had one bite of steak left. What???? My tea was empty for 30 mins before refilled. Ok, no biggie. So 4 of us ate a steak with zero sides. The steak and scallops were melt in your mouth delicious. My son in law found a hair in his crab cakes though. Forgivable I suppose as at least he got them,. So our bill came out to close to $1k after the potatoes and crab cakes were adjusted. We would have rather paid the full bill and got our food. It was just entirely disappointing. We still topped 25%. It was not the server's fault, and she was there on Thanksgiving. She was very gracious. It's a shame she had to tip out the kitchen. It's a shame that a manager NEVER came to check on things or apologize. I'm not sure I'll go back. This just isn't the expectation of Del Frisco's. People patronize this establishment, and pay their prices for the service and quality. I can see forgetting one thing, but it was 4 items. What's going on Del Frisco's

Yelp
I had a manager contact me regarding something I wrote about. He explained the cleaning operations at the restaurant. All good.

Yelp
I love Del Frisco's - the Denver (Orchard) location is the best of the bunch. IMHO it is the best restaurant steak you can get. In addition the service is always amazing - from the hosts to the servers. The steaks, the sides, the desserts. Awesome. The wine is super expensive (of course). Came back (again) for my daughter's 18th b-day. (6/28/22). Chris M. (GM) and Miguel were amazing. Service is awesome, best steak there is (I am a cook and cannot make it like this), and everything. I have eaten at the other locations and Denver STILL makes the DF steak the way it has always been done. Thank you Chris M. You need to train the other DF locations - you have it nailed. If I want steaks out or a celebration dinner, or just drinks with awesome food, I go here.

Yelp
Interior is very dark, hard to see and the waiter was even struggling to see the menu text. Bathroom could also use some work and it feels like you're walking into the sun with how bright it is after being in the dark. Prices were definitely too high for the quality of food. Had to send back an appetizer because it was pure mush. Then had to send back a filet because the middle was still cold to the touch, but the outside was steaming and the plate will burn you. After sending it back, they brought it back slightly warmer but the outside of the steak was completely charred after the refry. Everything else was adequate though and the server was friendly. This experience just reminded me why I hadn't been back there in a few years. If they slash the prices in half and turn up the lighting then I'd consider going back, but the quality is comparable to Chilis, not a fancy steakhouse.

Yelp
Ra was extremely attentive to our party. He gave excellent recommendations and was extremely respectful and personable! Food was delicious. I ordered the surf and turf trio, very flavorful! Excellent presentation. I definitely recommend coming in for the holidays! Ask for Ra.

Yelp
The food was great. The appetizer of fried lobster was amazing. All the food was great....except the fillet menion my daughter ordered. It was cooked to her liking. Medium well. I did not understand why this meat that is well known for being soft was so tough. She is 9 and said the flavor was good. I have to go by her opinion because I don't eat meat. Seeing her struggle to chew this well known tender portion of meat was heart breaking. The bread pudding was not a well received dissert at our table. This was more like an angelfood pound cake with rick sugar on it. I'm from the south. I guess I'm too used to the real thing. This was not considered a good try. Our server put the food we were taking to-go in a bag and on the floor instead of on the table. We will take our business elsewhere next time we are in Denver. With tip my bill was 375.00 for 3 people.

Yelp
Things have gone downhill since Covid. Use to be the cream of the crop. Now it's good food but the service has gone way downhill, not enough staff to properly take care of you, no hostesses to take your coat barely see your server after you order your meal and without the cigar lounge I would just recommend going to Shanahans down the road. Very disappointing to see this landmark taking a nose dive.

Yelp
We went with a sizable group at lunch. Most people got the business lunch, which they all enjoyed (soup or salad plus choice of entree). I ordered the steak salad and it was large, the steak was perfectly cooked and everything included was very tasty. We got the calamari as a table appetizer and that was also tasty. (Very good, not the best.) And of course we got some desserts to share! The bread pudding was okay, the cheesecake excellent and the chocolate mousse very good. The service was very good also!

Yelp
Everything works here. The ambiance and service were impeccable and the steak was cooked to perfection. Paired with a sublime glass of red wine, I was in heaven.

Yelp
It's been a week since I visited but held off on doing this review because I visited a few restaurants this week enjoying restaurant week so I wanted to to accurately offer my perspective to yelpers based on my experience during this busy time for restaurants and their customers. Out the gate service was great from the greeters, our coats were taken and stored at a 90 degree temperature so it was nice and toasty for us upon exiting, definite plus. The restaurant was packed but we didn't have much of a long wait to be seated, our server Joel was extremely courteous, explained up front that food would take a bit longer than usual because of the large crowd and apologised. This for me makes a great difference in service, once this is communicated up front I can appreciate that. Drinks were amazing, we had a few cocktails and some wine, Joel's recommendations were spot on, another plus. The food was absolutely sumptuous, starter to dessert. The manager also checked on us to express his apologies for the wait being longer than usual because they were at full capacity. It was an all round good experience and had it not been for the service aspect this review could have been a three star.

Yelp
Love the quality of the food here. Often come and do the same with other steakhouses in the area. This is by far better quality where son may have a better atmosphere. Keep coming back to Del Frisco's. That butter cake is amazing

Yelp
Delfriscos. Obviously people know this place especially those who like steak! We tried to get in for Valentine's Day but couldn't get into the main restaurant. I think? But all in all it was a great experience. Great food. Great all around night out to dinner. Atmosphere - the atmosphere was great! However, we were there on Friday night before Valentine's Day. It seemed like they were trying to fit more tables in places, which totally makes sense. But our table was a cheap flimsy wood top table that moved the whole time we were trying to eat. It looked nice:-) but obviously was an add in table. Quality - The food was amazing. There shouldn't be any reason why everyone shouldn't try this place at least once for a special night out. Value - The value was great. However, I only say that because to go to a really good steakhouse these days for two people you're going to spend at least $200-$300. So keep that in mind, that if you do mains, sides, desserts, drinks etc. You're going to spend two $250-$450 for two people. As I was leaving I thought - I really loved it, and we might come back again for a special occasion! But, I definitely want to sit in the main dining room if possible. It just didn't feel quite as nice in the back room as the rest of the restaurant.

Yelp
Came here for restaurant week, they were relatively busy. Our asking for second round of bread meant service wasn't the quickest; but also the bread was good, lol. Had to return the lobster bisque as it was toooooo salty, in exchange, the Caesar salad was delicious. Our Prime Ribeye was good, we asked for it to be cooked medium and it was just that. Juicy, a little pink, lots of char. We were fed pretty well and were taken by surprise when they showed us the desserts: cheesecake was HUGE, so big that after a while of working on it, it starts tasting like tofu cake, lol. CHOCOLATE MOUSSE, served in a glass, was elegant, also pretty good sized, and wonderfully delightful. We would've been able to exit faster if not for a super large party arriving and the wait staff had to make one LONG table to accommodate. For a while we were just locked in there, made us feel they totally forgot about us now that we're done paying...
