And you can get a substantially thick grandma-style pie or spongy tomato pie topped with tangy bits of 18-month-aged parmesan. In addition to great grandma-style pies, Del Rossi’s churns out some of the city’s best cheesesteaks. The recently reinvented housemade rolls are a game changer–they’re thick and crisp on the outside, airy on the inside, and speckled generously with sesame seeds. Inside holds gloriously gooey chopped meat and cooper sharp, along with their standard silky fried onions. Not to be outdone by the classic steak version is the chicken cheesesteak, which is definitely the juiciest we’ve found. We love the Long Hot Chicken Cheesesteak. The first thing you’ll notice are the enormous chunks of long hots that blend beautifully with nicely cut, tender meat. The second is the spicy kick, and that it comes with a generous amount of your choice of cheese. Could it dethrone your favorite cheesesteak order? Maybe not.
