Yemeni Coffee Pioneer Delah Will Open a Second San Francisco Shop in FiDi - Eater SF

"When Omar Jahamee and his uncle Majed Jahamee opened the first Delah Coffee in SoMa back in July 2022, few knew how ready San Franciscans were for simmering pots of adeni chai and honey-drizzled pastries. Delah expanded to Oakland that fall, then Dearborn, Michigan success story Haraz Coffee House came to California and planted its flag in Pacific Heights. In 2024, the trend seems poised to soar to new heights. A third Delah Coffee is opening at 450 Sansome Street, on the corner of Sansome and Clay streets, in spring 2024, taking over a former Peet’s Coffee location. After opening this new shop, the 20-year-old entrepreneur and his uncle will open the first Yemeni coffee shop in Sacramento with an Elk Grove outpost. Jahamee says this FiDi corner location is a great spot for the budding coffee empire. “This is something very different than any other coffee shop,” Jahamee says. The drink menu will be almost identical to the first locations. Even the size and layout will be similar to the location in SoMa, focusing on informative graphics explaining coffee’s history alongside ornate gold delah coffee pots. Though fans can anticipate a similar Delah experience at this new shop, Jahamee says a few spice blends may change on the drink front, just to see what’s landing with a new area in the city. The baked goods selection will change a little, though milk cakes and bee bites will still be on the menu. Jahamee does want to try out a few food and drink specials for the new store but hasn’t decided what that will look like just yet. “I want to make something no one’s made before,” Jahamee says. After just about a year in business, Jahamee says he’s loving San Francisco. There have been few challenges for him and his business, and he says he feels his customers and fanbase have become a family. If there’s anything to look forward to at the new outpost, Jahamee says the decor — for a cafe in the FiDi — will be out of this world. He also gives major props to his uncle, Majed Jahamee, saying none of this is possible without him. “No obstacles stand in our way,” Jahamee says. “I love the culture expanding. It’s beautiful to see.” Delah Coffee will open its second San Francisco location at 450 Sansome Street in spring 2024." - Paolo Bicchieri

First time visiting this location, I usually go to the mission bay location. It was pretty empty on a Wednesday evening, got the honey bread with cream cheese which was fire. Nice and sweet with the honey and the bread was soft. Would come back here for a sweet treat.

Google
The workers are so nice, I came in and wasn't sure what I should try and lilia recommend i try a spinach turnover. It was so good and she was very patient with me ordering. I wanted something sweet after and aya helped me out that time and she was too nice as well. I couldn't decide which dessert to get and she recommended I try the lotus cheesecake and it was sooo good. They are both very patient and also gave more recommendations but i choose those. They are so friendly I felt that we were already friends. I love that the workers are patient, friendly, and they seem so happy to be there. It makes it more memorable when workers have that enthusiasm. I'm definitely going back. 10/10.

I had an incredible experience with Delah Coffee, and I can’t recommend them enough! The customer service was outstanding; the staff made me feel so welcome and genuinely took the time to ensure I was happy with my order. It’s always refreshing to support family-owned businesses, especially when they offer such personalized care and attention. The hospitality of the younger generation working there was especially heartwarming—so full of energy and positivity! I ordered an iced caramel macchiato, and it was absolutely delicious. Perfectly balanced, with just the right amount of sweetness and a rich, smooth flavor. I’ll definitely be coming back for more! It's clear that Delah Coffee not only cares about great coffee but also creating a memorable experience for every customer

Google
Fantastic baklava and turkish delight. The mango smoothie was superb. Didn’t try the coffee. Photos are approx half a serving remaining for each.

Google
Turkish coffee looks great. I wish they had an option without cardamon. The baklava, kunefe, etc. were also good. It would be great if we had more cafes like this and not just espresso.

Google
coffee is just decent. tried the french press so i can actually taste it. so i would recommend adding cardamom and it should be ok. deserts tho are really sad. the prices are also on the higher side. waiting time further brings the experience down. also, even though i orderedfor dine in it came with loads of packaging and bags. no restroom either. cannot recommend overall

Delah Coffee is a cozy gem for coffee lovers, offering a delightful experience with both their excellent brews and specialty coffee beans. The quality of the coffee here is outstanding, with a rich depth of flavor that’s hard to beat. You can taste the care that goes into selecting their beans, ensuring every cup is aromatic and perfectly balanced. The staff are always warm and welcoming, creating a friendly atmosphere that enhances the overall experience. They're knowledgeable about their offerings and are happy to help guide you to something new if you're in the mood to explore. I tried the Adeni Chai, which was a beautifully spiced take on the classic chai. The addition of cream, along with the warm spices like cinnamon, cardamom, and nutmeg, created a comforting and creamy beverage that's perfect for any season. For pastries, I couldn't resist the Bee Bites, which are traditional bread filled with cream cheese and drizzled with honey (or topped with your choice of other toppings). They were soft, slightly sweet, and the cream cheese inside was a wonderful contrast to the warm, fluffy bread. Overall, Delah Coffee offers a lovely combination of rich, flavorful coffee and a delicious selection of pastries. The staff, the vibe, and the carefully crafted menu make it a place I’d gladly return to again and again.

Google
Just stopped by for the first time and wow—I’m already obsessed. The pistachio latte is officially back and it’s everything. Super smooth, perfectly sweet, and just a little nutty (in the best way). I wasn’t even planning to try it, but Aya and Lilia totally sold me on it, and I’m so glad they did! Their energy is unmatched—so friendly, helpful, and just made the whole experience feel really welcoming. You can tell they care about what they do. Definitely coming back soon!

Yelp
My boyfriend and I cane to Delah Coffee for a little afternoon caffeine hit after an eventful date at Alcatraz. What I loved walking into the store was the cleanliness, open lighting, easy access to Wi-Fi, and pastry case filled with delicious Turkish treats! We got a plain black coffee with cardamom. The coffee came piping hot and freshly brewed! We really enjoyed how beautifully the cardamom paired with the coffee. Would definitely consider coming here again, though I do wish bathroom access were available. I understand, though, that finding public bathrooms in FiDi can be generally tricky.

Yelp
The interior is clean, spacious, and offers plenty of seating. I would encourage them to play music that's a bit truer to the culture though! Mixing in American pop music takes away from the authenticity a bit. Lastly, we ordered 2 drinks, the adeni chai and the Yemeni latte. The Yemeni latte was delicious and would get again! The adeni chai, however, was very difficult to palate. The spices were extremely potent and the combination was more akin to the smell of cigarette ash than an aromatic blend. At first I thought that perhaps my expectations were not in alignment with the nature of the beverage itself, so I googled it. The drink was described as "rich, sweet, smooth, and bold". This, however, was none of those. There was no sweetness, it did not feel smooth, and it felt like "rich" and "bold" were confused with "bitter" and "sharp". It took 4 Splenda and sugars and 2 half-and-halfs to mask the original flavor. Perhaps I was not prepared for what might simply be a cultural experience, but after seeing more reviews about the same beverage, I truly do think something might be missing here. If not, please let me know otherwise! Service was very friendly and prompt, and the staff are pleasant!

Yelp
Not my favorite cup of coffee. I thought I would try it instead of the place I have been going and left feeling a little flat. If you like cardamom flavored coffee this spot is for you. They basically brew each cup individually and mine was very watery with really only the cardamom flavor coming through. It was $8 and I basically drank about half and threw it in the trash. Service was super slow due to one person doing everything, but very friendly. Nice aesthetic on the inside, plenty of seating and lots of natural light. TBH they had some really good looking food and pastries that made me wish I was hungry.

Yelp
Tried the Yemeni latte with light sweetness and it was so refreshing. I've tried similar lattes in the past but they were never strong enough for my liking. This was perfect though- the strong spicy flavors really came through. I could taste the cardamom and cloves. Cute inviting interior with lots of seating inside. Nice place to work / study.

Yelp
I visited recently with a colleague for post lunch caffeine & we shared a large pot of Yemeni chai & a Turkish dessert that was like a mini Kenefe (shredded phyllo dough with honey & pistachios). Kenefe usually is topped with rose water & honey syrup so this was a bit different but still delicious. I agree with another Yelper who suggested to enjoy your beverage and food at their beautiful location (bright, airy & lots of seating) as the hot tea is presented in a glass teapot with a tea light to keep it warm and two petite tea cups for you to enjoy. I love chai & really enjoyed the flavors of cinnamon & cardamom in the tea as well as the strength (it was a much needed midday caffeine boost). It was delicious! Service is quick & helpful. I will be visiting again soon!

Yelp
This spot has become one of my go-to coffee breaks with coworkers and the fact that it's just a 5-minute walk from the office is a major plus. While their menu has a wide range of drinks, I always come back to the Yemeni latte (sweetened or unsweetened, depending on the mood) and it never disappoints! I haven't tried the food yet, but the sweet and savory options always look super tempting. We dropped by around 9:30am and were lucky that there was no line; our drinks came out fast. Service is always friendly, and I love how spacious and clean the place is. Tons of seating, great natural light, and thoughtful decor that makes it feel extra cozy. Overall, a reliable spot for quality coffee and good vibes. I'll definitely keep coming back!

Yelp
I don't usually like Turkish delights but these are AMAZING!!! I'm coming back to take some home to Hawaii!

Yelp
Large cafe space that never seems too crowded, so definitely encourages hanging out. The dessert options are quite wide ranging and very yummy. Rose Milk Cake: I am loving this hybrid! It's like a tres leches cake with Middle Eastern flavors. Plus vibrant pink color, for extra glamour. Very rich. They didn't skimp on the moisture, which is a true sign of good tres leches! Pistachio Cheesecake: Looks really cool with neon green tones and pistachios on top. Taste was kinda meh though. Very bland with not much pistachio flavor. I was hoping for that really sweet tangy pistachio flavor found in pistachio paste and pistachio ice cream. Cheese cake had an airy whipped textured rather than dense baked texture. Bee Bite: Love the contrast of warm cheesy bread covered in sweet honey. I suppose it's technically dessert, but it's special. Baklava Nest: Nice thin lines of crispy dough with pistachio in the center. Love the texture more than regular baklava, but I kinda missed the soggy bottom. Börek: Looks like kinda potato pie when cold, but transform into something crispy with running cheese when warmed up. And there's actually no potatoes, just flaky dough between the delicious cheese. Not many savory pastries here, but this one is awesome. Adeni Tea: Ordered a pot to share with a co-worker. It was full of fragrant spices, with cardamom being most noticeable. Nice and creamy too, with sugar on the side. A great way to enjoy tea and chat. Turkish Coffee: Be sure you specify the order is for here and you want the fancy metal serving set. Otherwise it's just strong coffee in a paper cup. But somehow it's magical when served in the proper setting. You savor it better in the small cups. And I dunno, that spice aroma is just great. Iced Rose Delah Latte: Looks really cool with layer colors of pink, white and brown. However, the espresso dominates the flavor profile so you barely taste the rose when it's mixed. The rose milk cake was much stronger rose flavor.

Yelp
I came here every day this week. It's that good. They have a wide range of coffees and teas with great flavors (cardamom, etc), unique lattes (my favorite was the Yemeni Latte) & lots of pastries from various countries (baklava, Turkish delights, and more). They also have savory hand pies. Really kind staff, too. The space is open and bright, with lots of comfy seating.

Yelp
We happened to find this cute coffee shop on Samsone and decided to check it out. The interior looks spotless and brand new, while the walls are adorned with beautiful artwork. As you walk up to the counter, you're greeted with the delicious smells of spices and sweets that they also display in front. The staff is so kind and lovely. We decided to order the Adeni Chai and it was amazing! Not too hot, it had this slight bitterness with a hint of earthy notes as well. If you like sweeter teas, I recommend asking for the honey on the side so that you can control the sweetness to preference. I highly recommend checking this place out!

Yelp
I freaking love this place!!! There's often plenty of seating on weekend mornings, which is when I can usually carve out some time to sit & enjoy a book or get some miscellaneous work done. I really enjoy getting to pick from a wide variety of desserts every time I come here. The staff are very friendly and quick, and it's always clean here. The only thing is that in my experience, they often turn the music on & off - I'm not sure why that is!? Anyways, I just wanted to leave a review to reinforce how great of a cafe and dessert option this is for anyone looking to enjoy somewhere that is spacious, has plenty of treats to offer, and is very laptop friendly. On top of it, they're open very early and pretty late, which I LOVE! Late-night cafes are in such under supply in SF. Pro tip: they do not have bathrooms here! However, you can go to the nice hotel next door & use their bathrooms on the third floor!

Yelp
Having been to the 4th street location a few times, finally got to try this one! I love that it's right in front of the bus stop, makes it so convenient to get to and from. There's plenty of tables with outlets and free, reliable wifi. It's also open pretty late. I ordered an iced rose latte which was delicious! Not overly sweet, I could taste the rose flavor and also the coffee and the foam top added to the creaminess! I will say, this was a bit on the pricier side for coffee. I haven't tried any food from here but all the pastries and desserts look delicious :)
google avatar

Chastity V.

Yelp
Love this place! I have been here twice now after visiting the SoMa location a few times. The Adeni Chai is so tasty! I also got an iced oat milk latte here that was excellent. And don't skip the sweet treats, they're amazing! I absolutely loved the pistachio milk cake, regular baklava and pistachio baklava. Highly recommend this spot for coffee, chai, and pastries! Lots of seating, good for meeting with friends or relaxing & working alone. Service was friendly and helpful. Drinks were made quickly.
google avatar

Yelp
Very welcoming cute coffee shop. My family and I were warmly greeted. Ordered a cappuccino, delah shaken espresso and hot chocolate. Everything tasted delicious. I wish I would have ordered a bag of whole beans for at home because I enjoyed every sip of my drink. 10/10 recommend and 10/10 will be back.
google avatar

Shivangi K.

Yelp
Love this location for the beautiful decor, friendly service, and delicious drinks! It closes earlier than their 4th street location at 8pm, but later than all coffee shops in the area! There's wifi, outlets, and plenty of seating making it the perfect place to work or catch up with friends. I got their iced rose delah latte and loved it! The coffee is strong, the rose flavor is not overpowering, and the drink has spices giving it a unique taste. Only thing to note, it is a bit pricey at about $8.13 with tax. I have also tried the iced yemeni latte and enjoyed that as well! The simplest way to describe it would be a spiced honey latte -- cardamom, cinnamon, honey, etc.
google avatar

Sandy L.

Yelp
What a gem in the fidi district! Their homemade treats and baklavas always get me to stop for a sweet treat. I am down bad for good baklava and Delah does a good job! A bit steep after tax ($9 for one piece) but it's a decent size and there are several competitors around the area. Service was okay - the lady was cleaning the counter and I was right next to her waiting to order. It didnt seem like she was in the rush to help me and it took an extra 10 mins to get checked out. On the bright side, if you're not in a rush and looking for a pretty spacious cafe good to catch up with folks or to sit around and enjoy your meal - Delah is the spot.

Yelp
This unique coffee shop that had a real Persian feel. I'm not even sure of the ownership or background but they serve Arabian coffee and it's just off 80 as you get off the Golden Gate Bridge and it was perfect for my need for a coffee fix at 5:36 PM And they had medium coffee in a decent cup was able to park temporarily and then get right back on the freeway it was perfect. The coffee is great medium roast and they got a bathroom there you can use and it looks like decent Wi-Fi people hanging out and yeah love it.

Yelp
My review below was actually intended for the SoMa location, and I've since corrected my mistake and reviewed the SoMa location which I first went to. However, I have now also tried the FiDi location, so I want to properly share my thoughts on it. No surprise the FiDi location is pretty on par with the SoMa location. I asked the barista if I could get an Adeni chai latte with oat milk, and his response was "I gotchu". He also accommodated my other request to make it less sweet. I really appreciate how friendly the service is at Delah, which sets it apart from other mainstream cafés. While there is plenty of seating at Delah FiDi, the tables seem a bit more spread out than at Delah SoMa, so it feels less crowded. The "crowd" is no less lively though. This is a great spot to come and get some work done, as they have free WiFi. I could see myself coming to Delah regularly to take advantage of the productive energy in the air and satisfy my chai craving.
google avatar

Chris S.

Yelp
The coffee is heavenly. If you order their specialties, be prepared to let it cool before drinking. I order them "light sweet" and it is delightful. The bee bites are shockingly delicious with savory cream cheese and sweet honey. I don't believe words can do it justice. 2 coworkers recommended it to us and still I was surprised at how much I loved it! For those you who don't know, Arabic coffee is generally spectacular. It is very hot, very caffeinated and has the flowery scent and taste of cardamom. Delah lives up to this and more. My only 2 regrets are that at some point I find the bottom of the cup and that I probably shouldn't visit the store hourly.
google avatar

Adel W.

Yelp
Finally a cafe that's open late in Fidi! Delah has multiple locations around the bay area, so I've tried their stuff before! I got the chai and I love how their drinks aren't incredibly sweet. One thing, there's no bathroom so beware. But there are plenty of tables and free wifi!!
google avatar

Sonia P.

Yelp
BEST PISTACHIO LATTE EVER!!! Cute Arab coffee shop with amazing selection of sweets. Highly recommend

Mariseth A.

Yelp
Delah Coffee!! They also have a location in Berkeley I believe but this place is sooooo lovely. I love the service and I love the coffee. You can treat yourself to one of their specialty coffees or get a traditional drink! I really like the Yemeni Chai, but be warned!!! It had my heart racing and I was up all night. 10/10 would recommend

Yelp
Fancy cafe, great place to work at. There is music in the background and decent amount of people come here to grab coffee and chat. They make their ginger lemon drink fresh.
google avatar

Yelp
So I was in the area on early Sunday morning and drove by this inviting spot. Went inside and was intrigued by the decor and vibe. I've never had Turkish coffee and there's a first time for everything. Friendly counter folks- I asked for the Turkish coffee and the baklava- side note, all their pastries looked colorful and great btw. Few minutes passed and my coffee was ready. I was surprised at what I got- metal tray with an ornate kettle and a tiny sipping cup. It was something I would envision seeing overseas, but hey, I'm easily impressed! Coffee was rich and full of flavor. The baklava was excellent. Also tried ordering a pistachio latte but they were out of pistachios... oh well! Great coffee, great experience!
google avatar

Lemmor P.

Yelp
A power house coffee option that will give you what you need with a sense of urgency, efficiency and style. French press the Turkish beans for a robust lovely pick me up (my fav) . We nearly tried everything in here rolling in 12 deep with coffee snobs on New Years eve. No complaints, and everyone enjoyed their snooty patooty custom late/frappe/whip whip coffee matcha extravaganzas with cheer. Lilia was turbo quick with the orders and was super helpful with recommending the SF embarcadero croud favorites. Delah Coffee matches middle eastern authenticity anywhere and puts a spin to match western flavor profile. Recommended for sure!!
google avatar

Koorosh G.

Yelp
What an amazing find in the city, super high quality coffee and genuine home made middle eastern pastries. JUST WOW. Forget Starbucks. This place is amazing, a must try for anyone who loves food and coffee

Emy A.

Yelp
Found this place looking for a good local coffee place. Ordered a pistachio latte and baklava. Both were delicious! I will try the Turkish coffee next time I'm in town for sure. I would like to suggest that a name be asked upon ordering. I inadvertently took someone else's latte by mistake. She was very understanding thank goodness.
google avatar

Jessica J.

Yelp
was the coffee good? yes. was it also almost $19 after tip for 2 lattes? *cries* yes. we tried the yemeni latte and pistachio latte. both were delicious and not overly sweet, but man, given these prices, this will be a "treat yourself" type of place for me. my wallet can't handle that damage daily lol. but i've had my eye on this place for awhile, so i'm glad the quality was there. service was a bit slow because only one person was taking and making orders, but lots of tables and huge win for FiDi because they're open weekends!
google avatar

RJ C.

Yelp
Nice ambiance, music is loud enough that you can hear it 50 feet away outside. Pastries are standard Turkish sweets. Coffee is disappointing. I ordered a cortado and got 6 ounces of boiling milk with the espresso. Temperature was way too hot and not very good. I wouldn't recommend this place for espresso drinks. Maybe stick to the Turkish coffee. I personally wouldn't come back.
google avatar

Missy G.

Yelp
Stumbled upon Delah coffee when I was out exploring with a friend from the east coast. I love the idea of lattes but am always disappointed by the artificial flavors and overly sweetened flavors. I decided to try the Yemeni latte and absolutely love it. I got it unsweetened and it's perfect. The flavors come through so it's not a plain latte but a perfectly spiced cup of goodness!! I can't wait to go back.
google avatar

Soroosh P.

Yelp
Pretty good coffee shop with a diverse set of offerings and drinks that actually aren't overly sweet. I appreciate the fact that this place is open later than most other coffee shops and has friendly service. The ambiance is nice as the space is well lit. The only minor draw back is the pricing but I understand it's downtown sf. Glad they introduced some savory offerings as well.
google avatar

Orlando A.

Yelp
This coffee place is a must! I come here every morning for coffee. The employee here is % amazing for their service the food hit the spot yummy and the manager Mishai she's so welcoming and always smiling very friendly people. Highly recommend to go and try
google avatar

Atiq R.

Yelp
Our preferred delah coffee shop in the city. I find it convenient to have coffee and read something in the evening in this shop, very convenient as it's open late! Cons - no restroom Not Environment Friendly, - no BYO cup discounts - no separate landfill, recycle and compsot bins - SF Parking Mon-Sat 9am - 6pm $1.25/hr Pros - Good WiFi (SSID: 'Delah Family' pass: delah450 )
google avatar

Poonam M.

Yelp
Yum! I'm a chai lover, and get disappointed with most coffeeshops because it is not authentic. Adeni chai is super fresh, Yemeni authentic prep, and perfect with any of their milk cakes
google avatar

Sam L.

Yelp
Awesome cafe, I went to a different location about a year ago so I was super excited to go again. So many options for sweets and snacks, and the adeni chai is delicious. Definitely a great spot to visit.
google avatar

Seliya G.

Yelp
This is a great new location for Delah Coffee. Great coffee, matcha and desserts. Lots of tables, some with plugs and good WIFI. It's a good place to work or network. The biggest drawback of this places is that there is no restroom here. You need to leave the coffee shop and go around the block to the second floor of the hotel next door in order to use the restroom. Making it very inconvenient if you were hoping to work for any longer period of time.
google avatar

Stephanie L.

Yelp
Walked past after Bhangra & Beats and it was poppin even at 7pm. Got the bee bites and a chai and it was a perfect combination. The chai was not too sweet but had a balanced spice blend taste with a punch of cardamom. The bee bites were warmed and topped with honey.
google avatar

Anisha D.

Yelp
Been going to the one in SoMa since it opened, and excited that this one opened as well! Love the Yemeni latte, it's always a good vibe and open late near the offices which is great post work. Love Delah - one of my fav coffee spots in the city!!
google avatar

Roop K.

Yelp
New location in a more central fidi spot, same great quality of pastries and coffee! This one seems a bit more spacious and love that their hours are so late to hang out later on in the day. I imagine during the hours I went ( after 5 pm ish) it's a bit less crowded bc the workday is over so great place to read or study for a bit.
google avatar

Farida M.

Yelp
First time trying and I will definitely be back!! Qahwah mofawar was so flavorful and the cheese pastry is delicious. Misa was super helpful and gave great recommendations as well
google avatar

Chang T.

Yelp
Place was very clean and neat. Decor was interesting to look at, very eye catching. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Explained what all the desserts were when we asked. I got the strawberry acai drink which was very delicious but just a tad bit too sweet.
google avatar

Kanika K.

Yelp
Great place to get your morning caffeine kick if you are in fidi! This is such a clean and spacious place! Love the open space concept and the Turkish delight and dessert options! I went there at 8am on a Friday and got the adeni chai and they made it in less than 5 mins! The server was nice too! This is the perfect place to read a book and get some work done and it has WiFi too! I can see myself coming back here weekly! Two small Adeni chai cost me about $14 bucks somehow though. Slightly more expensive than I'd want my chai to be but it does taste great
google avatar

Jimmy C.

Yelp
Another Delah location after the SoMa, the Financial District. Our love for authentic Yemeni coffee and pastries had helped the same owners open up the new location. Same Middle Eastern coziness adorned with different paintings and decor, I feel like I get to choose either in the SoMa or here. Why? Because I'm a chai guy. Definitely crazy for their Adeni Chai! Will definitely write more about it once I come back. ;-)

Jason P.

Yelp
A coworker recommended this place, and I can see why. Loved the coffee, and when you walk in, there is an array of sweets and savories to enjoy with your coffee. Though most of us have a usual coffee order, this is a place to explore and really try something new. Flavors, scents, and wonderful treats. They also had plenty of seating to sit and really enjoy whatever you order. The people were friendly and efficient. What else do you need?
google avatar

Natalie R.

Yelp
Love them overall but we came in on a very slow Saturday afternoon and they forgot to make my drink. I can deal with that but then they were kinda nonchalant and unconcerned when I brought it to their attention. Otherwise, love their coffee and decor.
google avatar

Lucy L.

Yelp
Excellent Turkish pastries & coffees. Located at the corner of Sansome & Clay Street, in the financial district. Beautiful spacious cafe with lots of tables and seating. The front counter has showcases of a wide variety of baked goods including breakfast pastries, cakes, many types of baklava and Turkish delights. It is apparent that they take care & pride in each food item they make. Service portions are decent and pretty generous. Prices are reasonable given that these are specialty foods. Coffee drinks are very good and the barista hand crafts each beverage. House coffee is also very good. This place is the new elegant place to check out and hangout for casual or business gatherings or if you just want to have a nice and fairly quiet place to relax or read or do a little work. I will return again and again.

Yelp
Delah is still currently in "soft opening" mode but they serve delicious Yemeni style coffee and sweets in a very modern comfortable space. I've had the Jubani a couple of times and very tasty - with strong cardamom flavor with hints of ginger and cinnamon. I've also had the kiwi Turkish delight - it was a little too sweet for me but it complemented the coffee nicely.

Yelp
Yes to more diverse options for coffee and treats! Lots of unique sounding coffee and tea drinks to try. I got the Delah Iced Chai, it's good, I can taste stronger hints of cardamom. The display case of sweets are so tempting, there is an array of baklava type bites, Turkish delights, milk soaked cakes and cheesecakes. I got a hazelnut Turkish delight because growing up my family always got the version they sell at Costco during the holidays. Yum!!
