Delbar Opens in Alpharetta on Old Milton Parkway for Persian and Turkish Food - Eater Atlanta

"Chef Fares Kargar opens the long-awaited Alpharetta location of his popular Inman Park Persian restaurant, Delbar Middle Eastern, Wednesday, May 10. Taking over the former Traditions Indian Cuisine space on Old Milton Parkway, Delbar means “heart, captured” in Farsi and is a culinary love letter to family gatherings in Kargar’s native Iran and the women who taught him to appreciate and value cooking traditional Middle Eastern dishes. Kargar pays homage to his grandmother at Delbar, who often baked bread for the family in her tandoor oven back in Iran, with the many breads served at the restaurant." - Beth McKibben

What a fantabulous time and meal we had! It started with the most amazing host, Kiran, and hostess, Alma. We didn't have a reservation, but they were most accommodating regardless. Kiran made some great recommendations, one of those being the wings, he definitely wasn't wrong!! Our waitress, Zoe, was absofrigginlutely remarkable! She was not only most eloquent in her descriptions, but also spot on! My friend got the lamb kabobs and they were great! I had the honey harissa chicken and oh. my. gosh!! Then there is the roasted cauliflower and I can't even begin to explain the deliciousness of that, it is the best thing ever! And that zhoug, do not miss out on that!! We also got the tea, it was so good and fun. We experienced a straight up foodgasm, the food is ridiculously good!! Zoe and Naledi made the meal, the service, and the experience over the top for us and we will be back!!

Before I start: This place has a mandatory/complimentary Valet parking... so if you don't want to tip park next door. Okay, now this place is *CHEF'S KISS* AMAZING!!! WORTH EVERY SINGLE PENNY. We went a bit early because we had a baby and i thought it would lack the experience but it didnt! The service is very attentive and took care of all of our needs. THE FOOD...OH THE FOOD (ORGASMIC). You literally go on a trip across the world through the food. You taste the culture, the love, and every seasoning of the Middle East. By the time you're done eating, you'll want to book a ticket! Normally I would tell you what I ate and what to try, but truly... TRY EVERYTHING!! Even my baby ate good this day.

We celebrated a wonderful lunch at this restaurant for Mother's Day. The food was plentiful and delicious. Service was great and when you thought it couldn't get any better, dessert arrived... baklava ice cream. One of a kind scrumptious. This was our first time visiting; we will definitely be back for more.

I have been here many times. They really never disappoint. The ambiance is beautiful! The food is delicious. The drinks are good too. Our server was fun. Definitely will make it back.

Google
The service and the atmosphere was excellent to get things started off with. However the food did disappointed us. The grilled veggies were burnt and half cooked, the muhumara was on a sweeter side but the sides helped to enhance the flavor. The chicken kabob was bland in taste and would have been great if it was salted a bit more and add more spices. However the desert was wonderful and great flavor.

Google
The service here was incredible! Ambience just perfect, our waiter Emmanuel was concern about my food sensitivities. We came as a group. Chef and manager walked over to check on our table asking if everything came out good . Everyone was super friendly and really great way of paying via scanner and picking out your food items

Google
Everything was perfect. Specifically the service is very good. All smiley faces, quick service. Brandon gave service to me and he helped me to choose from the menu. And I liked the food. Atmosphere is good. Just be in mind that here is fine dining restaurant and it will cost at least $50 per person (+tips).

The entrance walking in was lovely! Covered in inviting flowers. Our server, David was delightful and fun. Drinks were delicious and new flavors we never tried before. The food was amazing. I loved the falafel and Bronzino. We will definitely come back for more!

Yelp
Great service and great food. Wonderful restaurant I had the Kabab and highly recommend the hanger steak kabab

Yelp
The service was literally the best I've experienced, only giving 4 starts because of not being able to split the check by item. I paid 45$ over what I ordered because it was an even slip, due to the fact we were celebrating I'm ok with it. Definitely delicious, we did all share slightly. The potions were big enough to share I don't think is necessary for anyone to buy multiple of anything at all. We had a group of 7 and there was still food left over. I put server was pearl and she brought out a celebratory dessert for The honorary guess who would be getting married the following weekend, which was so sweet and also left her a little note. Walking into this place is literally the most gorgeous entrance I've seen inside makes you feel like you're transported into another place. There's live plants which is amazing.

Yelp
Service was good - seated immediately at reservation time with choice of indoor or outdoor dining. Hummus with lamb was excellent as was the Omani shrimp. We couldn't get enough of the sauce that came with the shrimp. Took what was left to go. Entrees were good/okay - Chilean sea bass, salmon kookoo, shakshuka, koobideh kabob, lamb chops. Lamb was uncooked - raw in spots. The last entree to be served with the group. Apparently our order went to another table and they rushed a replacement. It was definitely rushed, since it wasn't completely cooked.

Yelp
Food, Service, and Ambiance is absolutely outstanding!!! Delbar is a beautiful Mediterranean restaurant with some of the most amazing, delicious food! I had the Dill Labneh, which is absolutely delicious! You can eat this with the Taftoun or their dairy free bread & its absolutely DELICIOUS! The dill isn't overpowering at all, it has amazing and light flavor! Get it, you won't regret it! I also ordered the Sabzi Polo, Koobideh Kabob & my friend ordered the Za'atar fries as an additional side for us. Everything was absolutely delicious!!! The service was also outstanding! Our waitress was patient, accommodating & gave the insights on all of the dishes we were interested in! I will definitely be back to Delbar sooner than later!

Yelp
Love! Went out for girls night recently at Del Bar and had a great experience. The service was amazing, with knowledgeable staff that gave great suggestions! The food was exceptional! With a menu that offered a variety of options to select from. The Dill Labneh is a must have, and the hummus with lamb added was tasty! The seabass was light and refreshing paired with Adas Polo! The restaurant was beautiful from the entrance to inside, which offered a comfy and intimate atmosphere. If you haven't booked, here's a reminder to visit! You won't be disappointed!

Yelp
Highly recommend reservation if you are planning on going on fri to sun at Alpharetta location. TLDR: Great food, service. Parking can improve. Amazing space inside. Very spacious and beautiful seating area. The service was excellent from the start. We tried a lot of things Zaatar fries, Kabobs, Hummus, Falafal, Rice and non alocholic beverages. Everything tasted excellent! The rice dishes need to be ordered separately (doesnt come with kabobs). But one should suffice for 3 to 4 persons. The dessert menu was outstanding but we couldnt try any. Valet parking ONLY. It is complimentary, however expect to wait for 15 to 30 depending on how busy they are on your return. The valet service can improve.

Yelp
Amazing food and beautiful ambiance. We went for a birthday dinner and it's very beautiful inside. The service was not the best but the food was great

Yelp
I love Delbar Alpharetta! My last time there was last month for Saturday lunch. I dined with my sis who visiting from out of town. We both loved our entrees and cocktails! Everything was so fresh! Service was prompt and excellent. I had the Chinjeh which is prime beef sirloin. It was good. I can't remember the dish my sis had but it was a chicken dish and it was delicious. I wanted to order her entree as well!!
google avatar

Yelp
This is a beautiful restaurant and the food was delicious. Our waitress Lena was very attentive and sweet. We had 8 alcoholic beverages, 4 entrees and 4 appetizers and our bill was under $300. Which was very reasonable for the type of food and service we received. The only reason it wasn't a 5 star, and these are minor adjustments, but the lamp on the table kept going out and it was difficult to see while eating. The bathrooms could use a little more attention in cleaning as well. Overall, I would definitely recommend coming here and I will return.

Yelp
Went back for the 3rd time to this establishment! The food never fails to satisfy. Service is top notch. Lina, our server was amazing. We ordered falafel plate, Adana bite (again) and subzi polo. Everything was amazing. The salad with falafel was so good, grated beets were so refreshing. Biggest disappointment was baklava. It was a huge serving for the price (8 dollars). Icecream was yum with saffron, rose and pistachios. But baklava was bottom heavy and way too flaky at the top. There was a thick layer of filling at the bottom. I didn't enjoy it at all and I absolutely love baklava. Will go back and try other desserts and dishes however. It's my fave restaurant for now in this area.

Yelp
To keep things short, Delbar is a great place for casual or upscale celebrations. It has a great staff and amazing food. Recommendations on what to order: - Mazzes: Lamb Ribs, Smoked Bass, Omani Shrimp, Wings - Spreads: Muhumara, Mushroom Hummus, Dill Labneh - Greens/Grains: Beet Carpaccio, Sabzi Polo, Pear and Kale Salad, Adas Polo - Condiments: Wings Sauce, Harissa - Meats: Honey Harissa Chicken, Hanger Steak - Dessert: Baklava (comes with Baklava Ice Cream), Faloude I highly recommend visiting if you get a chance! The portions are larger than I had anticipated. Very happy with my visit!

Yelp
Checked this place out while staying in Atlanta per recommendation of my best friend who is Persian. I have not tried too many Persian restaurants to be honest but this place was the best of the best in my opinion. The meat was cooked perfectly, the servers were very attentive, and the ambiance of the place was very modern yet elegant. Overall, loved this place and I guarantee I will be back next time I visit Atlanta

Yelp
This place will not disappoint you, I have been here several times now, as well as ordered carry out to take home and each time the food is always incredible. If you are dining here, please try one of their cocktails because the bartenders are skilled and their cocktails are so delicious. The inside is very cute and this place is ideal for a girls night out dressed up or date night as well

Yelp
I came in here with my friend yesterday after a lot of recommendations. Upon entering, we were promptly taken to our table. I absolutely recommend getting a reservation before heading here, otherwise you may have to wait. The interiors are very pretty and this place is decent sized. We ordered a muhammara to share and I got the beet carpaccio and my friend got the chicken kofta. The food was delicious! They also gave a plate with feta cheese and herbs and turnips, that was a great addition with our appetizer. The beet carpaccio was good and my friend liked his entree as well. Disappointment? The faloodeh we ordered in dessert. We should have taken the server's recommendation because the rice noodle snow cone kinda dessert was definitely not good. In all, the place was pretty neat. It's a great place for date night or to celebrate.

Yelp
Upon arriving at Delbar, the valet team warmly welcomes you, offering complimentary valet service with an optional tip on your discretion . The entrance boasts a stunning flower arch, perfect for a photo. The interior is equally exquisite, and the restroom's decor, featuring another large mirror for a selfie, adds to the charm. For a smooth experience, I recommend RSVPing through their website or Resy, given the restaurant's high demand. The friendly host made check-in easy. My server, David, was fantastic, taking our orders. I started with the Omani Shrimp--a delightful dish of four large shrimp in a delicious sauce. The Zafar fries, ordered as a side, came in a generous portion! I opted for the Joojeh Kabob as my main entree, featuring chicken breast, saffron, onion, and citrus. For my beverage, I sampled the mocktail "Sage Wisdom," the main ingredients crafted with ginger beer, sage, and blood orange--absolutely perfect. My overall dinning experience here was great. I look forward to dinning here again.

Yelp
You guysss I ordered this online and literally thought the rice that was called polo was CHICKEN like pollo...at a Lebanese place. I'm the problem it's me. REGARDLESS, it was the best food I have yet to have in Atlanta. They gave me a heaping serving of bread to dip and yummy sides and spices for free. The tomato salad was soooo yum and the rice was delicious, even without the pollo. Would def get twice if I had more time in Atlanta. And maybe try some meat next time

Yelp
I adore Delbar for its Middle Eastern cuisine! The ambiance is charming, and the staff are incredibly welcoming. The interior exudes both elegance and warmth, creating a delightful atmosphere. They even provide spray hand sanitizer for a clean start before indulging in the delicious food. Speaking of which, the food is absolutely divine. During a recent girls' night out, we sampled a variety of dishes. My personal favorites included the hummus, beef koobideh kabob, and lamb kabob. While their main dishes don't automatically come with rice, I always opt for either the polo sefid or adas polo grain dishes. Their alcoholic beverages are expertly crafted--not too strong, but definitely strong enough to get you tipsy. While desserts weren't quite my cup of tea due to my preference for savory flavors, they were very picture worthy. If you plan to visit on a weekend or towards the end of the week, be sure to make a reservation as they tend to get pretty packed! 100/10 will always be my go to spot.

Yelp
Second time at Delbar, first time at this location. I can't say enough good things.. I don't even go to many restaurants, but I will recommend this place every chance I get. I've had two of their polo dishes now and both were divine. The way it's cooked leaves a crispy, buttery layer across the top and part of the sides. The rest is fluffy rice that's full of herbs. Their falafel are the best I've had in Atlanta. They have a vibrant green inside and a nice crunch on the outside. Even the sides served with the falafel are delicious. I would love more of that kale salad. Hummus is another winner and do not leave without the vegan bread!!! The fluffy bread with the hummus is perfection. I can't speak to their meat dishes, as I don't eat meat, but even still, you can have a delicious meal here. I also recommend their za'atar fries!

Yelp
Came here on a Saturday night for 8 pm reservations. Establishment seemed to be booming with business which is probably why we still had to wait a little bit after checking in. We were seated outside, perfect for the calm and beautiful weather. The meal comes with complementary spreads and a thin and crispy pita sheet that they were more than happy to provide more of. We shared an order of the beet carpaccio as an appetizer. As an avid beet lover, this dish was bright and refreshing while also being creamy and nutty with the dollops of whipped feta and nuts over the top. For entrees, we split the Gheimeh Bademjoon and honey harissa chicken with a side of green zhoug. The lamb was tender and smelled great. The taste however fell slightly short as well as the bed of lentils underneath. The chicken had a decent char with a healthy amount of harissa sauce but otherwise was kind of subpar. Overall, the food was decent but our server, Chris (I believe) was fantastic! He was beyond friendly, attentive and professional. Ambience was pretty and parking was easy with their own private lot. However, given how was it is from where I am I do not know if I would go out of my way to return especially given the high associated price tag.

Yelp
This restaurant was so good! I will be back next time I am in Atlanta! To start I ordered the Dill Labneh and it came with bread! This dish was light and the dill flavor was a nice touch. It was a good way to start the meal off. For main course I ordered the Lamb Neck, Roasted Vegetables, and the Sabzi Polo. The servings were big and this was all for two people to share. The Lamb Neck was cooked well and the meat fell off the bone! The flavors were great and I would order the Lamb Neck again. The Sabzi Polo was a generous portion and cooked well! I loved the crispy part on top. I am not a cilantro fan and will ask for no cilantro next time. The roasted vegetables were a miss for me. The seasoning was overpowering. I would not order the vegetables again. For dessert I ordered the Pistachio Lave Cake with Cardamon Ice Cream. I enjoyed this dessert! It was not overly sweet and the cake had white chocolate in the middle. The pistachio flavor came through on this cake! I enjoyed the ice cream more than the cake! I liked this cardamon ice cream and was a bit hesitant to try the ice cream. I enjoyed the ice cream very much! Overall, I would go back to Delbar and I will recommend the restaurant to friends.

Yelp
The atmosphere for this place starts the moment you get out of your car. With ample foliage, flowing fountains and accent lighting, the tone is set for a prime dining experience. The service was friendly and thorough. Our server made great recommendations and provided everything we needed to make dinner very special. The menu featured traditional Mediterranean dishes with a slight twist from the chef. The flavors were unique and bountiful, every bit as tantalizing as the Michelin Star warrants. From the shrimp and lamb ribs to the sea bass and baklava, we thoroughly enjoyed our experience.
google avatar

Yelp
I've been to the Atlanta location and the Alpharetta one did not disappoint! The dishes and service were all immaculate! The walkway into the restaurant is so beautiful. You have to try out the Omani shrimp! It's delicious

Yelp
Made a reservation for 8:30PM for 5 on Saturday night before Christmas Eve. We got seated after a few minutes to make sure our table was ready. Off the bat the place is already very busy and packed, so it took a bit for us to get our drinks and orders in. We got hummus and the falafel plate for the table. The falafel was super delicious - probably some of the best I've had! There was also a side of stringed pickled beets I think which were actually SO good. Probably the star of the plate. We got the Sabzi Polo for the table as well which was nice and sweet. I got to Chinjeh for myself which was very flavorful and cooked so nicely - like a nice medium rare which I like. It also comes with a roasted pepper, tomato, and comes on a bed of bread. Overall, pretty good food! It gets very popular so service may be a bit slow (took about 2 hours total). Stunning interior, as well. Definitely recommend!

Yelp
I am pretty spoiled by the fact that my wife cooks the best kabob, khoresh Bademjan, saffron rice, Persian chicken and all that I have ever eaten. However when we find a new Persian food place we have to try it. Delbar is just such a place. The first time we came we just tried to drive up and eat here. Ummm no... not going to happen. They had no availability and we had to book a reservation for a ways out to get in. When the day came we were excited to try it. The entrance is covered in tons of fake flowers that if you look are already starting to show signs if wear and honestly it is a bit gaudy. At first it is like WOW and then it is like wow... they really need to change this... in a few more months this is really going to look bad. The inside is well designed, open, light, and inviting. Nothing as gaudy as the entrance. The location is good sized and has lots of seating areas. We were taken to a back room that seemed like it was for parties. Big space. We were a bit disappointed to not be sitting in the main dining area. It is fine back here but is not the ambiance of the main dinning area. We ordered several apps... including chicken wings. They were delicious! A bit charged but so flavorful! For our meal we had to try the kabob.. honestly it was very good but it fell short of my wife's... it was good but I'd rather have hers. The saffron rice they brought out was very good. It had the crunchy top part that was buttery and crisp, cooked to serious perfection. Then I ordered the lamb neck. It is a big meal that should be shared with several people. The waiter warned me that it had a different flavor and that it did. It is simmered and slow cooked in a type of plum and herb sauce that is sweet. The meat just falls off almost on its own. It is so very tender. The flavor of the plum and herb sauce mixed with the lamb was mind blowing for the first few bites but it wore on me quickly. By the 4th and 5th bite is was getting strange, and buy the 8th bite it was kind of too much. I had to stop. Man those first few bites were almost life changing but after that it just went down hill. I guess too much of a good thing. There was lots of food left over but no one else in my family liked it at all. So it got waisted. Our service was outstanding, the naan bread and cheese heavenly, and our over all experience was good. The food fell a little short of meeting the expectations and the level of price. It was a good experience and one I would recommend... we are just a bit spoiled due to having great Persian food cooked for us right at home.

Yelp
This was my second time at Delbar and I absolutely loved it. The food is flavorful, the service is amazing, and it just has an overall great ambiance! I look forward to returning

Yelp
Great restaurant! Love the food & atmosphere. The drink selection is great too. I love the chicken, sea bass & recently tried the sirloin. All is cooked well with lots of flavor. Their dill labneh is great as is the hummus. Their baklava ice cream is great & totally different than what you would expect. The pistachio cake was good too! Service is pretty good but on weekends you can wait longer than normal due to how busy they are. The restaurant is pretty loud, but that's the only complaint. Overall, great place to dine.
google avatar

Mahia Z.

Yelp
Delbar has easily become one of my favorite Iranian restaurants in Atlanta. This location is stunning! In my experiences, the food takes a while to be brought out so I do recommend ordering apps! Not everything on the menu is halal, but there are multiple halal options. Everything that is halal is clearly marked on the menu. Food recs: Zaatar Fries, Dill Labneh, Chengeh, Sabzi Polo
google avatar

Ralph M.

Yelp
Outstanding food and service from start to finish. We were a large group so we chose a kaleidoscope of flavors. Pick any meze or salad and you won't be disappointed. For your entree, the stuffed branzino is a MUST. Crispy skin, moist meat and tangy stuffing that will leave you wanting more. Don't forget dessert! Will definitely return here when back in the area!
google avatar

Carly R.

Yelp
Beautiful and upscale atmosphere. Came here to celebrate a birthday and the service and food were delicious. The server was very knowledgeable about the menu as explained what paired well together. The only thing I would steer away from is the minced chicken kabobs. The labneh is a must try! Nice happy hour specials as well.
google avatar

Yelp
I finally made it to Alpharetta Delbar and it did not disappoint! A few tips: it's valet only and you definitely need a reservation no matter the day and time. The ambiance is very swanky and minimalist and the flower entrance is a definite photo opp. I came with a group of friends for a birthday and we shared several plates of rice and protein dishes. I really enjoyed the joojeh chicken, salmon kabob and adas polo rice. This paired nicely with my lemon drop martini. Honestly, going with a group and sharing the a la carte dishes is the best way to dine here. The portions are very small in comparison to other Persian restaurants but that's my only drawback.
google avatar

Roshni P.

Yelp
Went to delbar for a birthday dinner! Boujee restaurant but tasty food! We ordered the falafel - small portions but perfectly fried. Sabzi polo (aka rice) - unique flavors of saffron. And joojeh kabob - meat well cooked. Service was incredible! Makes sense because of what a high end restaurant it is known for! Decor outside and inside made you feel you are at a restaurant in the city, even though this location was in Johns Creek!

Yelp
Bottom line: I think the Inman Park location is better, but happy to see more options in the burb that's closer Time of visit: Sunday 6:30, had a reservation but still had to wait to be seated as it was really busy Vibes: nice restaurant that made me feel like I'm at a day club in Miami Service: our server was experienced but I can tell he was very busy given the state of the restaurant. We did feel rushed. Food: I enjoyed eating the spreads cause they're fun. The tahdig was good, I really do like scorched rice and the raisins always make it fun. For protein I enjoyed the sea bass the most, it's just pricey. The lamb shank at Inman Park was really good so we got it here as well but it didn't taste nearly as tender and came in a different sauce I didn't prefer as much.

Dave A.

Yelp
The atmosphere was lively for a Friday night. We loved it! The food was outstanding and the portions were perfect. We especially loved the hummus and dips! We had excellent service and the wait wasn't long for our meal despite a full house.
google avatar

Sheela K.

Yelp
After trying another Persian restaurant and this place again I have to up to 5 stars because so far Delbar is in the lead for Persian places!
google avatar

Jennifer B.

Yelp
It was just great! Steven provided the best service. We tried Dill Labneh, Fresh Pita, Lamb Shank, Sabzi Polo, white chocolate pistachio lava cake (omg) and baklava ice cream. Everything just delicious. The valet gets a little crowded, might be recommended to self park.

Peter H.

Yelp
Waiter was slow and inattentive to start. Drinks took 10+ minutes and my beer was room temperature. Would've ordered a glass of wine for dinner but didn't bother. Flies and fruit flies bothered us throughout our meal. Noticed when we left that a kitchen back door was propped open, perhaps bringing in the flies. Food was on point - delicious. Upon leaving, the two ant infested to-go containers that littered the entryway to the restaurant when we got there were still there. Wife loved her first visit there with friends and brought me back to try. Doubt we'll be back again.

Yelp
Debar is simply amazing! From the staff that greets you as soon as you walk in to the friendly service that's always prompt. Make sure that you try everything on the menu. We visit regularly and love it there.

Yelp
What a gorgeous restaurant! Perfect place for gathering with family and friends. We came here for a birthday brunch for a girlfriend. The restaurant itself is gorgeous. It's definitely Instagram. I loved all the natural lights and modern yet organic decor. Definitely a good place to take someone you would want to impress or have a nice lunch or dinner. I was initially alarmed walking in because I heard pretty loud music on a Sunday afternoon, but it was not audible once I got into the restaurant. We had some issues with our initial server as she seemed overwhelmed with our table. I can imagine having eight girls who are indecisive can be very challenging. We were able to get another server who could handle our table a little bit more effectively without becoming aggravated. We all got a variety of dishes and drinks. Everything was absolutely delicious. I particularly love the lamb and chicken kebab. Their rice is also phenomenal. One is enough to share amongst four people. Food was rich in flavor as well as presentation. Portions were also very good. Will definitely be back!
google avatar

Li L.

Yelp
Food was delicious! I would highly recommend the Stuffed Branzino. The fish was really flavorful and moist! The Lamb Kabob was tasty as well. I was surprised to be able to finish my meal in 1 sitting. As I usually have some left overs to take home with me. But, it was a pain to split the payments with 6 or more people apparently. We had a party of 7.

Yelp
I came here for a nice date night with the boo, and right off the bat we were awed by the beautiful flowers adorning the entrance. As you walk in, the interior is beautifully decorated, completed crowded with happy customers, and you're totally transported to a different world. We were seated immediately as we had a reservation, and it took a while for our waitress to come, but they did update us and say that she working triple time. Afterwards, it took us almost 45 minutes to get our drinks, in which we learned that the bar needed A LOT of work in terms of process improvement. Food-wise, on the other hand, was an absolute delight: Hummus: This was wonderfully smooth and full of flavor. It goes so well with the flatbread they bring to every table. Fresh veggies (for hummus): This was worth the extra money. Plenty of fresh little carrots, cauliflower, and all sorts of goodies that kept my inner rabbit happy and fed. Heirloom tomato salad: Ok first of all, this is a cherry tomato and cucumber salad. Don't think of this as actual heirloom tomatoes (Google image it--they're giant misshapen tomatoes rather than these cute little things). It was still nice and refreshing, but just don't get confused when ordering this. Yogurt marinated steak: I forgot the name, but this was VERY tender and delicious. Apparently, it's one of the most popular items on the menu, and I can see why. Falafel: Very spiced and herbal (I think I taste cilantro), especially seeing how green it is on the inside. It came with dressed kale (also delicious) and pickled beets. The falafels were light and crispy on the outside, moist and tender inside. Easily one of the best falafels I've had in Georgia. Lubia polo: This was recommended by the beverage manager, who said it tasted like his grandma's cooking back in Iran. How can you NOT order it after hearing something like that? This was hearty, rich, and flavorful. Better yet, it made for GREAT leftovers (even good cold!) It was full of steak tips and every bite was a delight. To be honest, this was probably my favorite dish of the night. They also have persian tea (very fragrant--reminiscent of earl gray) and turkish coffee. Despite the hiccups in service (they're new and working on it), the managers AND chefs came by several times to take any feedback, so I'm certain that this place will only get better. I can't wait to be back, or even order something to go, though I will say that it is wonderful to sit inside though. Definitely give this place a try!

Yelp
Overall good but not as good as the original location yet. Delbar is located one plaza before Jerusalem Bakery on Old Milton Pkwy if you're coming from the hwy. Parking wise, there's valet or self parking. For valet, they ask for your phone number and you'll get a text but unfortunately for us, we did not so we had to recheck. Valet told us that they will take care of us when we leave and luckily they were able to track down our car in their system with our phone number. Like the Inman park location, Delbar is loud but be cautious on the slippery floors. I wouldn't be surprised if people fell down here, especially down the stairs. I even saw servers struggling and always hanging on the rails for extra safety. Our favorite dishes at Delbar, in general, are the dill spread, raisin rice - adas polo, and the beef and seabass as our entrees. Food wise, it was a tad lacking. For example, our bread was luke warm while at the main location, it is pipping hot and this was the case for both bread that we had gotten. My seabass seemed to have been little undercooked and slightly fishy compared to the original location and the rice tasted little more bland. On the upside, the beef was perfectly cooked! We noticed that the manager and some of the servers were from the main location, assuming they're here to get everyone situated but probably need some work in the kitchen as well. Oh and one last comment is the automatic soap dispensers in the women's bathroom. They do not work, even with a refill. Please just keep the manual soaps out.

Yelp
Zoe gave us wonderful recommendations and service. We enjoyed the Beet Carpaccio, Lamb & Baghali Tahchin, and Salmon Kabob. All the food was delicious and fresh. Look forward to returning soon!

Yelp
Located in Alpharetta the parking is both valet and self parking. We valet the car and the process was nice and could use cards. They took our phone number and gave us a link to inform them that we were finishing up our meal so they could have the car ready and took away the wait time. We came for brunch and enjoyed a different cuisine. Most brunches have the same flavors but this was totally different and we loved it. Sense we were coming earlier in the day the dining room was bright and open with gorgeous greenery. We had the Labneh( a yogurt dip), the majoon( a espresso date smoothie super yummy), Turkish coffee, Persian tea( super good), the delbar spritz( not for me but I could see others enjoying it. I'm also not a fan of aperol spritz and it had similar flavors), Bloody Mary (very good), koobideh and egg( delicious clean flavors), and the date cake( delicious and moist spiced bunt cake). Service was great we had multiple managers come by to check and see how we were enjoying things. This may be because this was the first brunch weekend but I would say the brunch launch was flawless. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and look forward to coming back.

Yelp
New Delbar location in Alpharetta! I'm happy that this restaurant opened as the location in Inman park is a lot farther for me and parking is less accessible. This location has a beautiful decor and the seating environment is cozy. Service was quick and the server was informative on the menu. In terms of the food, I thought the food was pretty good for the most part; however, for the price I'd say there are other Mediterranean spots that are more worth it. Over here you partly pay for the presentation. The Adas Polo rice was unique and I think that was the highlight of the meal. This location also does free valet parking. I'd recommend trying!

Yelp
We came here for a birthday. If you $$$ to burn for dry, salty food the sure this place could be a candidate. I will not recommend Delbar & certainly won't be coming back. As a salmon lover, we got 2 Salmon Kookoos - was dry, a bit salty and no taste of Salmon - but tasted potatoes ! We also got the Labneh with a side of shredded lamb - but the lamb was very crispy and chewy - have never had lamb this dry. The rice, chicken kabob, Shakshuka were also dry - not worth it. Overall looks like the kitchen and chef need an upgrade to cook more moist, tastier food with care as opposed to making it chewy, dry/over cooked & salty. The best dish was Faloude( ( a ice cream desert)- maybe worth going just for this and Service and Ambience which were great. I would NOT recommend Delbar at all, as not only is it $$$ but also the food was not worth it. The best Mediterranean place as of date for me in Alpharetta still is Noosh which is about 3 miles from here at 11880 Douglas Rd, Unit 200. I've been going there for nearly a decade and the food is consistently good.

Yelp
We went there for my wife's birthday! She is a huge Mediterranean fan and Delbar just moved to the top of her list. The lamb and the sirloin kabobs were fantastic. The rice was wonderful although we like the Sanzi rice more than just the saffron. The wings had a ton of flavor, Hummus was just average. We really liked their version of baklava which was full of pistachios and not overloaded with sugar and honey like many places. Service is very good. The building and decor are immaculate and upscale.

Yelp
The service was exceptional and the aesthetic alone will keep you coming back. Beautiful exterior and interior with plenty of photo opportunities. I shared the seasonal board/platter with two friends and it was plenty of food - VERY fresh and the presentation was gorgeous. We added a few sides including the Za'taar fries which were incredible!

Yelp
One of the best meals I've had in a long time. We got a reservation for 4:30 pm (everything else was booked until 9 pm so I would make reservations at least a week in advance). Upon arrival, there were many valet workers and very limited self parking. Luckily, we arrived early enough when there was ample self parking. The exterior entrance is beautiful. Lots of bright flowers, perfect backdrop for pictures. The interior decor is beautiful. It's bright and minimalistic yet warm. There are a couple different rooms. We sat in the back left room, it was nice but I would have preferred to be in the main area (but it was very loud in there). Our server was great, he was very attentive and had great recommendations. There were so many servers and the restaurant was very well staffed. They seemed young, perhaps high school students. Regardless, they seemed well trained and service was top notch. The food was amazing. The flavors and execution were phenomenal. We ordered the following: - Hummus with lamb $16 - the hummus was great and super flavorful, the lamb was good but a bit dry. I would get the hummus again but it doesn't really need any meat. It's great on its own. - Dill Labnah $13 - one of my favorite dishes. It's a garlic yogurt appetizer. It's so refreshing and love all the citrus flavors in this dish. I highly recommend as an appetizer. - Omani Shrimp $17 - the shrimp (4 pieces) are huge! It's chargrilled and cooked perfectly. They are large and juicy. I would definitely get again. it comes with the most amazing green spicy sauce. I wish they sold the sauce by the bottle. - Za-Taar fries $7 - Just okay, my least favorite item we ordered. They are regular fries with the Red Zhoug sauce. Nothing memorable. I wouldn't order again. - Sabzi Polo $12 - it's their basmati rice with scallions tahdig. It was good but the fried scallions (I believe) were very strong and hard due to the way the top of the rice is cooked. Everyone around us was ordering the regular saffron basmatic rice (yellow), so I would just order that one next time. There was a bit too much going on in this rice dish. - Joojeh Kabob $23 - it came with 4 large pieces of chicken. This was one of the highlights of our meal. The chicken was seasoned perfectly and so large and moist. Would definitely recommend. We also ordered the pistachio lava cake which was good but a bit small. Overall, I really love everything about this restaurant. We were there for about 2 hours and didn't feel rushed at all. I can't wait to come back and try the other dishes. So happy they opened an Alpharetta location.

Yelp
Visited this place while I was in town and it will now be a "must" stop when I come back. I wasn't really sure what to expect from the food since I haven't tried that much of this type of food. My friend hasn't tried anything but she knows I'm a huge foodie so she gave it a go. SHE LOVED EVERYTHING. Every dish had such a nice smell and flavor. The meat is so rich and the vegetables were so simple and healthy but was so savory! They even had complimentary sanitizer on the table and the view of the interior is gorgeous. The exterior is where it's really stunning though. The front entrance has a gorgeous spa like atmosphere and there is a great floral runway that every girl stopped to pose in front of. Very IG worthy. She has since been back many times (since she lives nearby) and it's one of her fave spots to take people.
