Delfino

We went there without reservation, but they found a table for us immediately. All the plates we ordered ( burrata salad, pasta cacio e Pepe, cotoletta con Milanesa, pizza Delfino) were tasty but more salty than expected. The service was very good and the whole place very pleasant.

The truffle pasta was outstanding — rich, velvety, and bursting with flavor, easily one of the best I’ve had anywhere. The pizza was just as impressive, with a perfectly crisp, airy crust and a beautifully balanced sauce and cheese. Service was attentive without being intrusive, and the atmosphere struck the right note between vibrant and welcoming. Delfino delivers a truly memorable Italian dining experience.

Came here for dinner on the weekend. Arancini was brilliant. Pizza was fine. Pasta - not a proper cacio e pepe because they used cream! Cardinal sin in Italian cooking … Expensive prices for the quality, sadly not really worth it

The food was absolutely delicious, really worth the wait even though service was slow. But would I come back? No because of the receptionist ((Gabriela)), who kept spraying perfume, giving uncomfortable looks, and even ordering fragrances!!!. Very unprofessional. On the bright side, camila was very welcoming

We order margarita pizza and we added bresaola on it which gave a special taste .. + whole-wheat pasta with veggies forgot the name > so yummy both of them .. Would come back again ..

Great experience at Delfino! The food was delicious, especially the carpaccio, calamari, and pizza. The tiramisu was the perfect finish. Cozy atmosphere and friendly service. I’ll definitely be back!

The best homemade Italian quality comfort food in London. Thin crispy and very tasty pizza. Best calamari. I tried almost everything on the menu and everything is absolutely delicious especially the pastas. Great service with friendly attitude and very welcoming hosts

Love this restaurant . My sister works nearby and the restaurant owners have been there for years. Brilliant service and always looked after. Loved the tiramisu! And pizza and the carbonara ! Highly recommend .

I love coming here. Don't forget to make a reservation or you may not get in. A staple of any visit to London. A MUST stop. The pizzas are wood fired and cooked to perfection. The best is the marinara sauce. There are lots of choices from hungry to not really. Lots of wine choices also. Stop in and do not past go

Service was a bit slow but it was a nice place with a pizza we really enjoyed.. we had the Delfino pizza.... It is in mayfair in a nice location.

Date of visit: September 6, 2022 We happened by this place a couple times as we were walking the neighborhood near our hotel and after seeing some of the pizzas on the plates of the outdoor diners, I knew that we needed to give this place a try if we could. It was a rainy afternoon so we were happy to get a table inside as this place is tiny. Service--as is most places in London--is iffy, but thankfully we were not in a hurry. The food was very good! I went with the calzone, which was one of the best ones I've ever had--hot and flaky, and generous with the toppings, too! Just know that this place is small and you'll be pretty much elbow-to-elbow with your neighbors, so if you're not in a peopley kind of mood, you best go elsewhere for your Italian food needs.

I decided to get the pasta and didn't realize while ordering that it was essentially pesto pasta. It was still delicious, of course, and the burrata on top really pulled it all together. Also, the wine was just so fantastic.

The best pizza I have had in a long time. Staff were friendly, funny and attentive. Would recommend to anybody.

Food was amazing and service was very fast. If you visit definitely recommend the chocolate fondant to end your dinner. Next time I'm in London hope to stop back in!

As an American-Italian, I take my food very seriously. This place was The spaghetti carbonara was a religious experience. My only regret is that I don't live in London to have this more often

The food was exceptional. Really old-world Italian. Everything from the starter to the desserts were delicious. Waitress was first call and the ambience was fun and upbeat.

Really delicious food. I wasn't expecting to find this place here but my husband walks past it on his way to work and it's in a very beautiful (and expensive) neighbourhood. The prices here are not bad though. The appetisers were delicious- bruschetta and tomato mozzarella. So fresh and light, and beautifully presented. We arrived around 8:30 or 9 and it was even busier when we left. For entrees we had the pizza on special- a mixture of veggies, and the prawn dish with coconut rice. Both were very good. It's a great place with very attentive service! We had a lovely time

Oh lord! Pizza in London? It tasted pretty much what you'd expect it to taste like. Really awful. I can't speak for their other dishes being that the pizza was the only thing I was brave enough to try. The gentleman who greated us was very nice, like most of the English, so forgive me. They really tried I could tell. But a frozen Ellio's would have been better.

The best pizza and service in London that we have found as of yet! As a girl from California (land of amazing food and service), eating out in London (and quite frankly most other countries) can be quite frustrating at times due to a lack of service since the servers/bartenders don't work primarily for tips like they do in the states. However, this gem gives me hope! Even the owner and managers are extra involved, and checking on us throughout the meal, and happy to help out with extra requests. And the pizza!!!! OMG!! One of the best pies I've ever had. We are here for 3 weeks, and have already been by 3 times this week. 5 stars for service, 5 stars for pizza, and 5 stars for such a welcoming atmosphere.

If you want a quick pizza then this is your place. The margarita pizza is thin and covered in the most delicious of sauces. You can add additional toppings. The side house salad is also something you must try. It was a collection of vegetables (lettuce, carrots, cucumbers, tomatoes,ext) with a great sauce! Only wished they pre-tossed the salad since it was kind of hard to mix in the bowl without spilling everywhere. I also got the chocolate fondant dessert. It was nothing special. The server said it would take 15 minutes to make but after trying it I would say it is better to go to a specialty dessert or gelato shop for dessert. The atmosphere was lively and the servers were quick and kind. Overall I would say that this is a place to go for great pizza for a great price.

I came here at prime dinner time, and despite the packed house and my failure to get a reservation (they were all booked up online), the restaurant immediately accommodated me. In the overly fancy, uptight environment of Mayfair restaurants, this casual but delicious place immediately became a salvation for me (plus they have wifi). The food was excellent, at fairly reasonable prices for the location. I ordered a glass of the house wine (not my favorite, but also inexpensive) and the day's special: a spaghetti with assorted seafood. The food came quickly despite the packed house and my good it immediately made dragging myself out after a long workday worth it. The spaghetti was PERFECTLY el dente, and the seafood was both well cooked and plentiful (I find that usually the ratio of pasta to seafood in these types of dishes is lacking, but that was definitely not the case here). It was so good that I ate the whole dish, and had to take my desert cheesecake to go (which was also good, especially the raspberry drizzle on top). Also appreciated that unlike the other restaurants nearby that I've dinned at, asking for water doesn't automatically accrue a £4 bottle charge. I didn't myself order it (will next time!), but they also have many brick oven pizza options that looked great. If you're looking for a good, homey, and casual meal, I'd 100% recommend Delfinos.

Uahh, Delfino. I ended up grabbing a bite here on a Saturday night when we'd intended to enjoy some nouveau asian fare at Hakkasan, but found the dress code a little too lofty for our casual selves. We arrived shortly before 9 pm and were warned that they were closing their kitchen soon, which is not how I like to start off a meal. We quickly ordered drinks, a salad, and a pizza. The pizza was okay, I thought(maybe because I was starving), but my friend said it was the worst pizza he'd ever tasted. Meh. Lame last resort dinner. I enjoyed checking out the party of super fancy folks who came for a pizza fix after some kind of event though.

great food and ambiance. Portions are pretty big and everything is simple and delicious. The place is small but there are many rooms etc. We really enjoyed the pizza and pasta.

Food was good. Service was not. Forgot about our table, brought 3 of the entrees and we waited 10 more minutes for the 4th. They forgot to make it. 70degrees out and our table area was so hot with little circulation. Overall a disappointing meal for the price.

Great little spot. Pizza was delicious. Staff was attentive and accommodated a few things on the menu for my son. Even without a reservation, we were able to be seated right away.

You are a tourist, in London with your family and struggling to keep the kids happy as you work your way through London's many attractions.. where to go?? Look no further than Delfino's, where the ultra thin-crust pizza is exceptional.. as for the pasta it is NEVER over-cooked and always just a touch al dente.

My coworkers convinced me to join them here for lunch on a lark. It was an amazing experience. Great service and the food was outstanding. Everyone enjoyed their dish, and service was very attentive. I was warned this place can get mobbed at lunchtime, so we took an early seating. There are "hidden" levels below the main entry, and we were seated in the "basement". It was not dark, and the ambiance was enjoyable. You didn't feel like you were in a dungeon! I ordered a lunch pizza. It was served thin-crust style, about the size of an American dinner plate. For L13.80 (not including drinks or our appetizer), my lunch was expensive - but I also ate every last bite in spite of my intent to only eat half and take half home... My coworkers ordered the lasagne and the tortelloni, both raving about their dishes. I have to say the aroma of the tortelloni was incredible intoxicating on its own! Far more expensive and slow paced than my normal lunch fare, but I will be coming back to try dinner in the very near future. I would definitely bring guests from out of town to this place.

The pizza is excellent. The crust is thin and cooked perfectly. They i sauce was perfectly seasoned. I had parma ham on mine and it was one of the best pizzas I have ever eaten. The service was pretty slow. My husband and I got up to pay in the front because it was taking too long to get our bill. The food was great though!

If you are looking for something a little lower cost, Del fino is an okay option but the pizza was nothing special.

Honestly, this place makes the best pizza I've ever had. Right across from the Connaught Mayfair hotel, my dad and I discovered it on a trip to London when I was in high school. Since then, I've gone with small groups of friends, my entire flat of 13 people, and my dad took a group of hoity-toity businessmen for dinner. Each experience was excellent: the servers were very friendly and the food was consistently top notch. Worth a visit for sure!

I was meeting up with two friends here, and we get to the restaurant at 12:05. I was asked if I had a reservation, when there were only 2 diners in the whole restaurant. Really?!? So - we were told we could get a table, but we had to be out by 1 pm. Fine. Ok. I ordered a glass of the chianti and ordered the pizza bread appetizer and the Delfino Pizza. The pizza bread was a semi crispy, semi chewy flatbread with not a lot of flavor. The Delfino Pizza was pretty good - it had nicely sliced parma ham on it as I recall, though it had these huge lumps of mozzarella which should have been cut up a bit more. The waiter came around for dessert, but then came back saying that it was 5 minutes to 1pm, and we had agreed to give up our table - so no dessert for us! This was just bizarre, as there was another empty 4-top next to us with a piece of paper that said reservation 1:15. (There was also another empty table nearby). I won't be back.

Found this place on Yelp as we were in a pizza mood, after a long day playing tourist. Ordered calamari app, plus three pies between the four of us, all good but Diavlo was my favorite. Daughters like Caprice, and Alpina. Staff were awesome. Sara and I think Jenna or Joanna. House Chianti was also fabulous. I would recommend this place to any others with a hankering for well crafted, non-chain, brick-oven style pizza on this side of London.

Top Quality Ingredients, With Top Quality Recipe's Make Top Quality Food!! We loved our Pizza's. We loved the service, and we even loved the laid back atmosphere. We both had Pizzas baked in a wood oven. I ordered the Rustica with the fried egg on-top and my wife ordered a Marherita with Buffalo Mozzerella cheese. The ingredients were amazing and plentiful. The sauce was wonderful, and I would rush back there again tomorrow, except that we don't live in London. We had the homemade icecream for dessert and it was to die for. So rich, creamy, and full of flavour. Our waiter was friendly, funny, honest (he told us not to order an appetizer because we were ordering two pizzas and dessert).

Delicious Pizza, very friendly staff, cosy restaurant. The pizza is proper pizza oven pizza over a wood fire. Not very consistant on closing times, I have turned up and been told the kitchen is closed and had to go elsewhere. The atmosphere is quite relaxed, it sometimes goes completely quiet which makes it slightly awkward to talk, but you soon get over it!

Delfino is a top spot. I had the first of many in my summer of aperol spritz's there, and haven't ever looked back. Pizza is slightly inconsistent as sometimes its really quite excellent and other times average, but the location, outdoor seating, and that crazy sweet Italian apple juice they served my kid sealed the deal.

Outstanding food!! Food is of a high quality and they were able to accommodate to our food allergy. All were very satisfied with their dishes.

This warm and quaint restaurant is a great place to get a delicious basic pasta or a wood grilled pizza. It's nice for a large family dinner as well. No one at my table had pizza, but we did get a few salads and pastas that were all wins. I had a duck ragout special that I would definitely try again...my mom got the pasta with clam and spring onions and was very pleased. The servers and guys in the kitchen are great. Definitely a nice, relaxed and fairly priced option especially compared to what else is in the immediate area.

I dined at Delfino on Mount Street in Mayfair on a Friday at 6pm with one other person. We were the only ones in the dining room for the bulk of our meal. We ordered the garlic and rosemary bread and the pizza de jour with a couple drinks. The meal was delicious and the service was attentive. The dining room would be a bit tight if there had been people seated next to us, so I'm glad we were alone. Overall, I'd dine there again if I was in the neighbourhood but wouldn't make a special trip.

Came here Saturday night. It's a busy restaurant with basic decor and furniture. The food is the same. I ordered garlic bread which was dry and tasteless. The spaghettini ragu was similarly unimpressive. My companions both had the arrabiata which was undercooked and they sent the dishes back. The staff did not create a fuss and the second attempt was cooked, but not exciting. The service here is very good; Patricia was helpful and efficient, but was not able to make up for the lacklustre fare on offer. I won't be back.

Pizza is simply the best in central London. There is no better. Dessert not so much. Stick with the pizza this crust, perfect toppings very crunchy and Napoli like... My favorite in the city.

This place was amazing. I had the soup of the day which was absolutely fantastic but too large so it filled me up quite quickly. The service was excellent despite the noise level which was quite high. The ambiance was great. My main course was pasta bolognese which was amazing. For dessert, being the ice cream snob I am, I had homemade vanilla ice cream with a scoop of strawberry ice cream. The strawberry was only so so but the vanilla was to die for. I loved this restaurant so much that I came back a few days later for dinner again!!!!! If you love goats cheese, you should have the goats cheese on a rustic crouton served with a side salad tossed in a pesto dressing. WOW. of course I had the ice cream again but this time I had vanilla and mango sorbet. It was AMAZING. Service was surprisingly even better the second time and the staff is so nice and friendly. Anytime I'm in London, I'm going back to this delicious restaurant. I wasn't disappointed. It gets an A++++++ :D

The food was fantastic and the service attentive. A bit pricey for the food, but the quality of the food and the location almost make up for the price.

Huge portions (starters and mains), so good to share. My favourites are the Calamari and Zucchini Fritte to start, followed by lasagne - after which I can't move. Fast, attentive service, very busy at lunchtimes so worth booking, they have a few tables outside, even in winter for the smokers (with heaters and plastic awning/sides. The pizzas look really good although I have never had one. Great value for money. Quite cramped tables inside but very buzzy and full of life.

Everyone in Mayfair I am sure knows Delfino. A great Italian and pizzas are excellent. Always busy and I think it's reasonably priced. Definitely worth the visit. Don't worry about the decor remember you have come for the food. It has been a while since I have visited last and really would and should go again soon.

Had a birthday dinner with a large group, and they were very accommodating with rearranging tables and seating

We ate here while staying in the neighborhood. My boyfriend had the Caprina and loved it. I had the quatro formagio and was on the fence. Unfortunately, I think i just ordered the wrong pizza. The place was nice, but you are seated right next to the other tables. If you are seeking privacy, this is not the location. It being a nicer restaurant, i thought it wouldn't be such close seating. Definitely worth a try if you're in the area.

Love this place! Great for take out and eat in. Have gone with just 1 person and also groups, so it's good for both. The pizza is better than the pasta - would definitely recommend the Delfino pizza. Very nice for lunch, especially if you can get a seat outside on Mount Street.

This is a great little jewel in Mayfair. Pizza to die for if you need a fix, great menu. Recommended by a local and a highlight for an inexpensive meal. They get busy so be prepared for that.
