Bordeaux- and Rhône-style wine blends, light snacks, and tours

"Woodinville’s DeLille Cellars, a longstanding winery specializing in Bordeaux-style blends, is opening a "Bordeaux-inspired restaurant and tasting room concept" in University Village inside the former Amazon Books space. Target opening date: summer 2025, marking DeLille’s first foray into Seattle." - Harry Cheadle

"One of Woodinville’s pioneering wineries since 1992, it specializes in Bordeaux-style blends while also producing a Rhône portfolio, sourcing fruit from top properties as well as its own Grand Ciel vineyard. The wines are textural and refined: Chaleur Blanc (a sauvignon blanc–sémillon blend) is waxy, pithy, and apple-skin flavored, while the entry-level red blend D2 offers polished, violet-tinged, Chambord-like tones." - Bryce Wiatrak

"I report that prominent Woodinville winery DeLille Cellars will open a new lounge in the former Wheelhouse restaurant space next door later this spring or summer, offering glass pours, flights, food and wine pairings, and reservations for small private events. Known for popular Bordeaux-style blends—particularly its signature D2—and founded in 1992, DeLille moved production and retail under one roof in the Hollywood Station building two years ago. Before COVID they had eyed hosting large tastings and live music but shifted to smaller-scale offerings like weekly takeout dinners for two; this new expansion should help them ramp up more elaborate plans." - Gabe Guarente

"After more than eight months of anticipation, I saw that DeLille Cellars — a well-regarded winery founded in 1992 and known for Bordeaux-style blends, particularly its signature D2 — recently unveiled a sparkling new facility in Woodinville’s Hollywood Station building. The winery will hold a special ticketed preview next weekend and opens to the public for tastings on December 6; an online reservation system to secure seats and book tastings will go live shortly before opening. This is the first time DeLille has had production and retail under one roof since 1998; the new 30,000-square-foot space (at the former home of Redhook Brewery) includes a three-story retail tower, a main public level with a bright lounge furnished with vintage pieces and a gold mural near the taproom’s wine bar, plus an outdoor patio. Upper floors are reserved for wine club members and guests, with event space and a rooftop deck offering views of Mount Rainier, and the winery plans to host comparative wine tastings, cheese pairings, and live music to draw both longtime fans and newcomers." - Gabe Guarente

"Planning to occupy 30,000 square feet at Hollywood Station, Delille Cellars will combine retail, events, offices, and winemaking under one roof and add a three-story retail tower; Delille aims to open in early December and will offer a rooftop deck (available only to wine club members and their guests) while non-members will have access to tours, tastings, seminars, and an outdoor patio on the main level." - Megan Hill
