Della Fattoria Downtown Café

I had breakfast here for the 1st time, it was great! The service was on point and the building is awesome! (A little cluttered on the ceiling for my taste but not bad I'm just weird). The americano and chai latte were delicious, I had to get some of the house made whip cream on it. Then we shared the blueberry ricotta pancakes, the biscuits and gravy and the toast trio they were delicious those pancakes with the ricotta and blueberries were amazing! Oh yes and got the fingerling potatoes and they were awesome! I'm going to go back and try the rest of the menu. Then the pastry counter had so many sweet looking pastries!

Just breakfast? Nope! Much better. A fantastic menu. Atmosphere that is wonderful. Lots of guests and it wasn't loud. We were able to have a normal conversation. Our server was the best. She added to our experience. Joyful and fun. But wait, there's more. Our plates were full and the quality was impressive. Flavors were dreamy. It was a little expensive. Still, you can't have a high standard for free. Our visit was worth it. And, we will certainly be back.

Great atmosphere! Great coffee: organic from Petaluma Coffee Company. I got a breve served up in a beautiful large ceramic bowl. Love it! Eggs Benedict was served up very quickly. Good quality, sizable portion, subtle flavors.

Very unique experience at Della Fattoria. My husband said “I don’t like it, I do want to share a table” but I told him, they are still getting 5 stars from me!! :) we both liked our meal and our server was very personable. I didn’t catch his name. I would definitely eat here again!

A star on the Petaluma BLVD this cafe which is larger than. It seems is larger than life!!! it truly breathtaking atmosphere is celebrating Sonoma County to its fullest!! I walked in and got a single seat immediately at the bar. I ordered the Tuna Piadina - A Classic Tuna Melt on Pan Fried Pizza Dough, Cheddar Cheese, Peperoncino, Arugula, Citronette Dressing. Wonderful wonderful wonderful robustly flavored sandwich. A little too salty but not much. I also got a Bloody Mary what came with a prawn and was very well balanced! All in all I highly recommend this establishment.

Our brunch was devine at Della Fattoria! It was very busy but we were seated within 5 minutes (no reservations) and between 4 ladies we tried out 5 dishes. All were delicious. The crab louie was tangy, fresh and savory. The atmosphere was lively and eclectic but not so loud we couldn’t hear each other speak. The chai latte was freshly ground and fragrant. Grabbing a few baked goods on the way out was the perfect breakfast for the next morning!

Cosy and spacious cafe with a bustling bakery next door! We arrived for breakfast around 8:30 am on Sunday and got a nice window seat table. Our server was attentive and personable. It was so nice getting some sun streaming in during our meal which provided nice warmth on a cold drizzling morning. The corned beef hash was the best version I've had so far. Great flavors and very generous on the meat. The Stacy's breakfast salad was yummy and overflowing with bacon bits! The dressing was light and I would have preferred more runny yolks but the eggs were fine. So many pastries and breads to choose from in the next room from the dine in cafe. I got the rosemary lemon bread and next time I'll get some pastries. Highly recommend!

Della Fattoria Café in Petaluma is an absolute gem! I stopped by on Monday with my daughter and we were instantly greeted the staff and the atmosphere is super friendly. We ordered an iced coffee and shared a strawberry cream puff pastry—both were amazing. The pastry was flaky, fresh, and just the right amount of sweet, and the coffee was perfection. A perfect little treat in downtown Petaluma. Can’t wait to go back!

Hello! I would really recommend this place for anyone looking to get a pastry. They have so many really good option. Food is a 4.5 out of 5 for me. And OMG the service is AMAZING! The people working there are so kind and nice. And the environment is also on point! They decorate it for Halloween and Christmas. I would really recommend people to come here if they live in Petaluma or if you are driving through here or staying here. IT'S AWSOME!!! If you are reading this by Christmas time Merry Christmas!

The Best Place ..It really is always my favorite that I reconfirm each time we visit.. The menu changed! We tryed the Smash Burger and I had a Passion Fruit Mimosa!!! SO TASTY! My guy, his Lattee was extra beautiful this morning. We didn't leave without some take home goodies..This place has the nicest employees, friendly, fast, and efficient..I have reviewed them more than once..The thing is, I'm always so impressed by this restaurant's service. The decor, food..It's really just my very favorite place to go.. Here's some new pics..The Burger and fries were outstanding..Try it!

What a snooty place! I stopped by on a rare visit to Petaluma for the opportunity to check out what I'd heard is one of the best cafés and pastry shops in the region. Boy, I haven't been treated this poorly since visiting a small patisserie in rural France with a rowdy bunch of American bigots. No fewer than five Della Fattoria staff looked at me as I entered, and not one greeted me. A gal dressed like the maitresse d' also ignored me even as I walked up to her to ask where I might get a coffee. Four more staff observed our exchange as she pointed me to the espresso bar, including, as it turns out, to the barista. As I duly waited at the espresso bar to place an order, said barista literally turned his back on me to continue an argument with two of the unoccupied staff about whether a previous order had been decaf or not. Clearly, customer service or even a modicum of courtesy was not in the works today, maybe because of a foul full moon or misalignment of café portents. On my way out, thinking about where I might actually be able to order a coffee, I stopped by the pastry counter for something to go. Again, standing at the pastry counter, the two unoccupied pastry staff continued their conversation - about clothing, apparently - while gazing at me like they'd seen a ghost (or worse, a human being). One of them emerged from their bovine-like reverie long enough to inquire if I wanted to order something. And whether I wanted it in a bag. Refraining from uttering any of the sarcastic ripostes that came to mind, I ordered two pastries and responded that I didn't need a bag. The pastries were shoved across the counter in their individual sacs with sufficient force that, if not for my weight training, they might have landed in the Petaluma River. No thanks, Della Fattoria, next time I'll stay out of your glitzy glamorous snoot palace and have a burger and fries around the corner. Whew!

You really need to show up early, and check the day to make sure they're open, but if you do you'll be rewarded with an amazing brunch. The eccentric decor feels a little bit like a cross between a farmers market and craft store, but it's nice. We're crazy about their corned beef hash, and never leave without bringing some baked goods home with us too.

Still such a lovely cafe! Amazing brunch and so many good baked goods. I really love their polenta dish!! It has such an amazing holiday vibe this time of year too! Highly recommend this place :)

Came here again for brunch. We ordered the bruschetta to share, I got a hash. The bruschetta is amazing with jam. The bread is crunchy, and the cheese and fruits pair very well. The hash was great, though a bit bland, but it was full of meat and was very hearty.

It's definitely my favorite brunch place!!! It's always packed so come early is otherwise expect some waiting time. Their menu seems to change quite often so I get to try different items when I came. I've heard almost all of their breads are sourdough. I'm not a bread person but I definitely love all the toasts here. It's fresh, a little tangy with very good butter. The bakery is a must stop if you want to pick up some loafs home!

My absolute favorite brunch spot, hands down in Petaluma! Beautiful ambiance. It's always decorated, and the best time is during Christmas. All the lights and decorations are amazing. Besides being a brunch spot, it's also a bakery. They make fresh bread and pastries that are so good. Love their bear claw, sourdough, and passion fruit panna cotta. My favorite thing to order is their tuna piadina. It's warm like a tuna melt, but what makes it different is the bread they use. It's almost like a nhan bread that's doughey and crispy on the outside, and inside there's arugula and banana peppers. I always get my iced honey lavender latte too. It's not too sweet but you get the lavender notes. Only downside is they don't take reservations. I wish they did! Staff is always friendly, such a great vibe here.

I was suprised to see a 1 star about Della. Let me tell you about my experience this morning. Was heading out to play pickleball and stopped in to get a baguette for my dinner gathering tonight. The nice guy behind asked me if I wanted coffee but I told him I needed to be at the court in like,15 minutes. Bought my bread and he said "Hang on give me 10 saconds,do you want cream?" Ran back grabbed a to go cup filled with coffee and a splach of 1/2 and 1/2 gave it to me and said have a good day and game That made my day!!. What a pleasant young man. .Sorry that was Mr.One Stars experience but I love your establishment and your team. Keep doing what you're doing

Top quality fare since its inception . Amazing service by such courteous wait staff And the ambience is only heightened by the wafting aroma of freshly baking bread. We ordered the scrambled and the Benedict. Both were so delicious!

Food was awesome, most of the seating is communal which I think is great especially if you're going with a larger group, service was quick and attentive overall a great experience

Wow, I wish we had this cafe in DC! The food is really good and the bread is just amazing. Might be the best bread I've had in a long time! It's also decorated beautifully for the holidays.

Me and my brunch friends looove it here! We even have monthly brunches scheduled just so we can have their very delicious tuna piadina! The bread is freshly made, the tuna salad is mouth watering paired with arugula and jalapeños! The service is always warm and friendly! The restaurant is top notch when it comes to decoration for any season! Although they don't take reservations, people line up to get in because their food and drinks are all amazing! I would recommend this place to everyone who is visiting Petaluma!

Della Fattoria is one of my favorite brunch places in Petaluma. The staff is always so friendly and quick. The strawberry ricotta toast is my absolute favorite, the pistachios and balsamic glaze ties everything together. I love how the hot beverages come in small soup bowls. My go to drink is a matcha latte with lavender syrup. If you are getting the corned beef hash I recommend asking for it extra crispy. Before I leave I always pick up a few of their pastries. The chocolate croissant and bear claws are a must!

The brunch spot for me and my girlfriends. I love the tuna piadina! I should really branch out and try other things, but it's just so tasty. They make a yummy London fog and I enjoy their lavender lemonade and lavender mimosa as well. The decor is also super fun. Especially during the holidays! It can be super crowded on weekends so be prepared to wait, sometimes up to an hour. It is worth it though. Plus downtown Petaluma has lots of fun shops to pop into while you wait.

This place can get really busy on Sundays. It's best to go early to get a good place to sit. The service was great despite it being so busy. The avocado toast had great flavor and my partner enjoyed his sandwich! Definitely will go again :)

Took my team here for a holiday lunch. I have never been here and usually they don't take reservations. I got lucky because one of my coworkers had the hook up. Let you tell you, this place is amazing! Their baked goods are out of this world. We ordered a bunch of sweets. I bought a few loafs of bread for later, there was over 16 of us so I couldn't take all the pictures but just what I could. Food is amazing too. I had the chicken salad sandwich and potato fingerlings.

Get here early or you'll wait in line to get a table. Beautiful set up inside. You can sit to dine or just go to the pastry or bread line to purchase baked goods to take home. Love the French bistro vibe. We sat at the community table. Not too bad. Didn't like the cold air hitting me every time the door opened but, hey, I've got a seat. While my party sat down, I wandered to check out the pastries. Everything looked absolutely scrumptious! Difficult to decide but I ended up selecting these pastries to take home. You can also just order from here and bring it to your table. Blueberry Cloud Chocolate Croissant Apple Braid Jam & Cream When I returned to my table, my party had already ordered their coffees. Gorgeous gigantic lattes and I ordered a cappuccino. Took a minute for coffees to arrive. Dishes are large portions. Plated nicely and looked amazing. We ordered: A cup of Asparagus Soup - delicate but full of flavor. If you love asparagus, you'll enjoy this. Corned Beef Hash - generous portion of meat topped with 2 perfectly poached eggs. Hope you're hungry! Croque Madame Egg Breakfast Service was great. Our waitress was friendly and professional. She always checked on us. She had a great attitude.

Ambiance is great! Shared tables are fun. Strange at first, but we adapted well. Ordered the smash burger. It was heavy, big and delicious. It was served with a side of smashed and then maybe deep friend potatoes. Would 100% go back. The Christmas decor was on point.

This may not be the right thing to order here, but it was actually very very good. The bread was amazing. The meat was plentiful and mostly tender. I have a habit of ordering Rubens as I like to compare and contrast. The breakfast salad is what I would probably order next time. Portions are generous without being obscene. The home baked goods are terrific. They seem to be well staffed, and it was a fun place to have a meal on Saturday morning.

Absolutely loved the food. The toast trio was amazing. The bean toast was so unique and flavorful - hints of olive was so phenomenal with the tasty bean. The egg salad was properly grated, resulting in perfect texture. We also tried the special salad with Dungeness crab and I thought the amount of crab was very generous and delicious. I seriously cannot wait to come back to try more items. I'd say the ambiance is maximalist. Which I love. It's full love delicious (bread) and beautiful (flowers), so if this isn't your vibe, you should probably check yours first. We came in around closing time - and the staff gifted us with free bread when we left. What not to love?

Loved this spot! Really fits in with the Petaluma food scene. We went for brunch on a Sunday and it was busy, but service was still good. The decoration and ambiance inside truly made for a unique dining experience. The coffee was especially flavorful and so was the sandwich I ordered. I'd definitely try their baked goods next time.

This is a true gem! I had the summer panzanella salad. Fantastic!! Also had the bread pudding and a matcha. Also got a loaf of bread to go, so amazing ! Excellent service!! Festive ambiance

My friend brought home these pastries and ohhhhmygod I want to sing the praises of this place, but especially that bear claw??? How do they make it taste so good?? The pastry is so flaky and fluffy with delicious almonds on top but that filling!! Wow I swear, something is different and special about that filling because this is the best bear claw I've ever had in my life, hands down, 10/10 would buy again right now. Everything else was also really good with the cinnamon twist being my least favorite but that wasn't really my kind of thing anyway. SO BASICALLY get the bear claw, you won't be disappointed!!

Service was lovely, everyone who works here seems really stoked to be there. Our group didn't have to wait too long to be seated which was epic as we were hungry. We had a variety of items from the basic breakfast items to pastries and toast with butter and preserves. Everything was so delicious, so glad we came here!! The coffee and chai latte were also really tasty. Definitely coming back here again at our next Petaluma visit.

Came to Della Fattoria after a quick search for brunch on Petaluma. There was a 40 minute wait but given that it was such a nice day, the time flew by as we checked out some nearby antique shops and got lost inside Copperfield's Books. Upon walking in, you will get hit with the fresh scent of flowers and fresh baked bread. It's heavenly, really. I had to start my meal with coffee and I was absolutely tickled by its delivery in a bowl. The latte itself was not the best I've had but it's presentation was certainly special. For entrees, there were definitely a couple items that stood out as unique but once I saw polenta, I knew I had to have it. This was a hearty serving with ratatouille in the middle and two poached eggs on top.The polenta was soft and creamy and the ratatouille was pure comfort but my eggs were overcooked and not runny so it was a bit of a bummer. Mom got the smoked salmon toast which came with 3 pieces, my brother got the Della scramble, and my dad got the croque baton which was a very interesting crustless sandwich. I actually liked his the best! All in all, tasty brunch which a beautiful ambiance. Definitely come when you're in town to spend a nice morning! They are only open weekends because the owners usually work a floral shop and a bakery....explains the entrance!

Such a cute place with great food! Came on a Saturday afternoon for brunch, there was a bit of a wait (around 30) but we were able to buy a coffee from the bakery and waited for the text that our table was ready. The decor is gorgeous and there was so much to take in between the bakery, flowers, and just how everything is beautifully decorated. Once we got seated, our server greeted us right away and took drink orders, and came back shortly for food orders. I really wanted to try the polenta as I kept seeing everyone eat it and all the photos on here, but unfortunately that was the one dish they were out of that day. I ended up with the salmon Benny instead and WOW. So so impressed! I've never had a Benedict on crispy toast before and must say it is so so much better than an English muffin. Everything from the sauce, flavor, texture. 11/10! The food came out super quick, our server was super attentive, kept checking in to make sure we were good, and got us boxes and bags for our leftover promptly. She never rushed us and even let us sit to chat a little after everything was boxed and patiently waited for us to ask for the check. So glad to have found this place and can't wait to come back and finally try that polenta!

We had poached eggs polenta prosciutto n mushrooms for breakfast Friday morning. Most excellent fulfilling breakfast. I was able to finish but my dining partner ate half and ask for a box to go. Pastries look very tempting which I will try on my next visit.

I honestly have never been to this place because the line is always out the door! Luckily, if you go there early in the morning, there's no line except for pastries! My boyfriend and I decided to check this place out early Saturday morning around 9 AM, and we were lucky enough to get a table right by the window! After we were seated, I had to check out the bakery portion which also had a line! There were so many delicious pastries to choose from it was really hard to pick! Some of their pastries are awesome mini ones so I bought three of those for my friend. Sadly, I could only split a pastry with my boyfriend, because I have stupid, gluten/celiac disease, and I cannot indulge on wheat products, the way I used to! So sad they don't have any gluten-free options besides fruit or salad. Hee. The ambience in this restaurant seems a bit chaotic, but once you look at everything, it's so simplistic and elegant that it actually is pleasing to the eye!! Some parts seem a bit busy, but I honestly love all the fresh flowers and bouquets you can buy as well as the beautiful aroma freshly baked pastries and blooming flowers! The only reason why I couldn't give them five stars is because they don't have too many options for people with food allergies. Lol nothing against them I know I'm a hard customer to please. Lol I have a handful of allergies and did a cheat day! Hee. I will definitely give them five stars. Once they get gluten-free items and even some vegan items since I'm not really supposed to have egg or dairy either. Lol I know I'm hard to deal with within food, allergies, and being a Foodie! I don't think I'll be back unless I pick up pastries for another friend due to my food allergies.

It a bakery/restaurant the food was absolutely delicious. I got the Della scramble. It had potatoes, sausage, cream Friache, and toast. It was very very tasty. My friend got the breakfast salad that looked divine. I picked up done of their pasties to go. The bread also looked good. The seating was comfortable wi Ty yh long shared tables. It wasn't very loud either considering the number of people there. The staff were all very friendly

Food and service was phenomenal the pasta was to die for loved it!!! Our server was amazing and gave some great recommendations and had one of the best dining experiences there in Sonoma!!

Della Fattoria what have you done to me??? In the past I tried focaccia but was always disappointed - It often had ingredients I love like olives, and sundried tomatoes but just tasted stodgy and I wondered why people liked it so much. Then one day I went to the cafe towards the end of the day and mostly sold out but the lovely man behind the counter said we have a focaccia round and I took it. OMG I finished it the day I bought it. Since then I crave it, the lightness, the saltiness- I LOVE everything about it! I am now a focaccia lover and snob. Thanks!! (I think)

We were prepared for a Sunday Morning brunch wait because this place is so popular but we actually quickly got a table for 2 quickly and had amazing food and service (yes Sarah!) My wife had the toast trio and the bread and left no crumbs. My BLT (and side salad) was delicious and the Chai in a bowl was both cute and spot on. Highly recommend it - the staff are hard working and friendly even when it's super busy, and of course the bread's especially good.

We had a wonderful breakfast on a rainy Saturday morning. Service and food were excellent. Such great ambiance...quirky Christmas decorations and Italian kitsch.

A beautiful store even during COVID. They make the lemon bread I but at Whole Foods. And their coffee rocks too. We rate this a go!

Came here for Sunday breakfast. We arrived around 11am and had a 45 minute wait. They put you on a waitlist and send a text when you table is ready. I wish they would utilize a waitlist where you could sign up when you are close. This place is very cute with lots of fresh baked goods. The prices are on the high end but the quality is definitely there. We ordered a regular croissant and a chocolate croissant to start. Menu had two sizes of orange juice, pricey but fresh squeezed. Another wonderful Yelp discovery.

Every Mother's Day/Father's Day we make a trip to Petaluma just for the delicious food at Della Fattoria. Our favorite is: - tuna sandwich - salad with bacon and avocado And bread!

This is my most favorite brunch spot that I've found in recent years. This is worth the drive for not only some of the best bread I have been able to find in a while but also for the best food and service. Without hesitation, I can easily say that I have yet to find anything wrong with this place (but not what I look for either). I have come to love their corned beef hash which seems to be a crowd pleaser since the last two times we've come, they sold out. It's wonderfully delicious! We've had practically everything on the menu and love it all! What we look forward to before and after brunch are the goodies we can get from the bakery. We haven't made it early enough to try the pastries we see in other photos but their cookies and breads are phenomenal and incredibly fresh! Looking forward to the next time I'm in Petaluma to enjoy Della Fattoria

Great ambiance, guy at the bakery had great personality and was very helpful in explaining each patries. Server did not provide good service and did not offer to refill our coffee cups. He did not check back with us once! Such a disappointment.

Omg so good! The food is amazing and you can buy fresh bread right there from the counter. The ambiance is shabby chic and it totally works. Definitely get there early to put your name in.

My entire party was thrilled with the experience we had here. The service was great, everything felt fast and efficient, and the food was fantastic. The tables were decorated with beautiful bouquets that were for sale and there's a bakery just towards the front of the restaurant. It's usually packed so I would get in as soon as possible! As for the food, I had the breakfast bun which and was so happy with my pick. The sandwich is a brioche breakfast sandwich with ham, cheese and an egg, and I added avocado for good measure! It was a melt in your mouth kind of breakfast sandwich! As a table, we also shared a Chinese chicken salad which had the perfect amount of dressing and freshness we were looking for. All in all, this restaurant is a staple for locals and is welcoming to anyone and everyone. I definitely recommend stopping by for breakfast or even just to get bread at their bakery.

The service was incredible and the food was next level amazing! We went with a group of 7 and they fit us in. I love the long table idea. We were on one end and there were several other parties further down the table. It's a great way to use the space! I also really appreciated the server splitting our check, it was so helpful. I got the croque madam sandwich and loved it! I hope that they have the Crab Louie salad next weekend because we want to got back! Well done Della Fattoria!!
