Dellarocco's Brick Oven Pizza

Dellaroccos has a classy ambiance and fun pizza flavors, and even though the pizza style isnt my personal favorite id be happy to visit again. We had the raddichio salad which was a delicious combination, and paired perfectly with the pizzas. I like eating it alongside the pizza rather than as an appetizer. The monalizza pizza was good and I like the hot honey. I normally dont like super sweet pizzas but it was well done and balanced with spice. The sicilliana was also good. The pizzas here are doughy and pretty soft, though the crust is crispy. This means the bottom gets soggy fast when eating. I prefer a slightly crispier pizza that flops less when held in the air. I would also love to see another hot honey pizza maybe with a different combo and make it vegetarian (love a trendy pizza!) The service was great here. We came on the later side on saturday night with no wait for two people. Theres better pizza spots in NYC of course, but for brooklyn heights pizza this hits the spot

We ordered here when they are closing but the chef was very detail oriented because we asked a couple times about our order to make sure it was right. We couldn’t seat in the restaurant so we had to go to the nearest park which was worth it to see the skyline. My boyfriend customized the pizza, pesto sauce, mushroom, olive and sausage. We gotta say this is the best pizza we had in New York! Everything was perfect!

This place is an absolute winner. Good food and cocktails. Energetic atmosphere. Outstanding staff! CeeCee greeted us when we arrived. She was truly a wonderful hostess who radiated positive energy immediately. Although the place was packed, she assured us that we would get a table in a timely matter, which we did. Throughout our dinner, CeeCee kept checking in on us to assure that we were enjoying ourselves. A real gem! The bartender Christina was excellent as well. Her drinks were very good and she was super friendly. Our server Sabastian was one of the best servers that I have ever encountered. It was obvious that excellence is what he strives for on a regular basis and quality is the result. He is a true winner in every sense of the word....totally leaning into everything he does with his best self. He was professional, helpful, personable, interesting, charismatic, really nice and genuine. A true Rock Star! The staff really made this dining experience wonderful and the main reason I would return. We will definitely be back!

Their frozen aperol spritz looks so good too. Would come back for that and more. 5 stars!!!

Fantastic brick oven pizza ! My friends and I especially liked the Monnalizza — hot honey added that extra kick. They don’t take reservations so better to come early if u want to grab table outside.

Love this place. A good friend of mine lived in Hicks Street so I’d get the train from Manhattan to BKLN and we’d meet at Dellarocco’s. I now come here independently and have had great experiences every single time. The owner’s have cracked the restaurant puzzle with great food, staff, ambience and reasonable pricing. Really good !

Ever since Scott’s Pizza Tours introduced me to this gem, I have been obsessed! Perfect bread, rich toppings, balanced amount of cheese & sauce…oh how I love this place. My only sadness is that I live so far away that the pizza is slightly cold when I get it, so I have to hoof it out bk heights to eat it fresh. I’ve since tipped off all of my friends to this treasure & they are grateful converts as well! Please never change! ♥️

Dellarocco's deserved a review update - I order pizza from here at least every couple months and TBH I love it. My favorite pizza is the Monnalizza, n'duja, cherry tomatoes, mozzarella and hot honey. It's a perfect combo - Smokey and spicy from the n'duja and sweet from the hot honey. When I order delivery it always comes within 30min. I pop it in the toaster for a few minutes and it's perfect! If I'm having a wild night, the Nutella calzone isn't a bad way to end!

I had amazing pizza at Dellarocco's. I went with a few friends, and we each got our own pizza and shared so we could have a bite of all of them. The crust was chewy and thin, while still being fluffy and light. my favorite combo. The white and red pies were both good, really can't go wrong with your choices here. I got the pizza with eggplant and it was so delicious and cheesy. We also got the toasts with the 4 different spreads. SO GOOD. We split each toast 4 ways so we could enjoy each piece. So worth it. The ambiance was also great. Casual yet upscale and lively!

Dellarocco's is a decent neighborhood place for pizza, but nothing spectacular and on the pricy side. The highlights were the pizza crust, both regular and gluten free, and the tomato sauce. The Margarita with Buffalo mozzarella was the best variety, but I was disappointed by canned mushrooms and rather bland broccoli rabe on the other samplers, and particularly by the canned & pitted olives given the price. Certainly not worth $9! The Negroni cocktail I ordered was rather small given the price of $14 as well and very watered down due to the use of crushed ice. All in all - for the same price one can get better options at more sophisticated restaurants.

Great pizza, fast and friendly servics, awesome ambiance inside or out. A neighborhood staple and a classic!

Dellarocco's makes for a quick, affordable, and impressive date night! My husband and I shared a salad, pizza, and dessert tonight for just over $40 tonight. While we didn't leave stuffed, we definitely had enough to eat and the value of food/service/ambiance to price ratio is fantastic! There was no wait on a Sunday night, but there were still other groups having a great time and we saw a couple groups at the bar. The Christmas decor and dim lighting made for a surprisingly romantic combo, and our food came out SO fast. We split the fennel/caper salad which was not bad, but I'd like to try the kale next time. The margarita with buffalo mozzarella pizza was slightly bigger than a personal pizza and was cut into six slices. The crust was super light with a slight chew (all good things to me!) and while the base was a little soggier than I'd like, I would absolutely return, and I feel like that says a lot given the number of restaurants around! We finished dinner off with a light panna cotta with a cherry sauce on top. Our waters were constantly being refilled, and I would highly suggest this for your next cute date night!

The pizza is definitely delicious and the prices are true neighborhood spot prices. Like, cheapppp. Which I appreciate so much! I got the quatro gusti which was like getting four different mini pies from an upscale pizza place for twenty dollars!! The Sauvignon blanc was tasty and $11! I don't mean to be so dramatic but with the current state of the inflation prices we are paying everywhere else, this makes me really happy. Highlight of my meal though was the Australian bartender whose name I want to say was Amelia but I know that's wrong. She was kind and fun and drop dead gorgeous which is annoying but if anyone deserves a face like that, it's her!

One of my favorite pizza spots in NYC! Friends I've brought here, who do not live in the neighborhood, often go out of their way to visit Dellarocco's. I don't think you can go wrong here, but I definitely prefer the red pies over white sauce. Food: recommend the crostini, kale salad, and red pies. The margherita is a classic, and I love the one with fried leeks on top. My partner also enjoyed the arrabbiata. Overall, I really like the thin crust as I don't fill up quickly / feel too full afterwards. Service: never had a problem here! They're very attentive and seat you quickly, even when they're busy. Insider tips: they have frozen drinks in the summer so suggest popping in for that even if you don't sit down for a meal! Great for: laid back lunch, impress out of towners

I came to check out this pizza place on a whim after seeing a video of a local highlighting this place on Youtube. Got myself a Margherita pie and a seasonal ale - the pie was decently flavored and surprisingly thin, the only negative is that the bottom was a little bit too burnt for my liking. The ale complemented the pizza perfectly in the hot weather, though. Would give this place another try at some point in the future to try another pie or one of their other dishes!

the best, cutest neighborhood gem. their pizzas are soo good --perfect neapolitan pizzas. one is good to share amongst two but they have great flavors. but my favorite part of this place is their nutella calzones and delicious espresso martinis. they also dont take reservations; but you often are able to find a spot. the staff are super friendly as well. always a delight to go back

Omgggg this place is a vibe!!!! Let's start out with the building, it's still old school vibe which is exactly what we wanted. Not touristy at all. We didn't want to feel like we were eating at a fast food place or a franchise. We started off with drinks. Aperol spritz and a peroni of course. The meatballs were tender and seasoned perfectly. We had a nepoli pizza which was a solid 3... but the monalisa pizza was a 5 star all the way I wish we would of ordered 2 of them to be honest it was the best pizza I've ever had. It's in Brooklyn heights and the walk there alone was just amazing, like something from a movie. For dessert we had the cannolis and those were also a 5 and that's coming from people who had cannolis from Venice Italy !! Me and my wife are from California and we both said we would travel back to Brooklyn just for the monalisa again! Just wow, you gotta try it for yourself. 2 drinks, 2 pizzas, 1 appetizer and 1 dessert and it came out to 120$ which is not bad at all. The staff was so nice and helpful. This is a staple if your traveling to Brooklyn heights.

Yet another great Brooklyn Pizzeria! I went to Dellarocco's at the recommendation of an Italian friend who comes here weekly. Both the pizza and the salad were quite light and refreshing. Pro tip: Though their pizzas are personal sized, if you are also getting an appetizer, the pizza is large enough to split between two people.

The pizza was good, but not amazing. I'm not really into charred crust, but other than that the food was fresh and the staff was really nice and willing to accommodate changes to the order.

I'd rate Dellarocco's four and a half stars. Not sure if it's been a while since I've had Neapolitan style pizza but this pizzeria hit the spot. We shared a few different pies including the Donna Amatrice, the Porcini, and the Taleggio. Airy dough with nice char. Interior was a little flimsy but most of the pie was sturdy; just needed to flip the inside over and I was good to go. Good ingredients across the board. I liked the curation of pies. Service was quick and friendly. Two gender neutral restrooms; one was handicap accessible and enormous. They have indoor seating, outdoor seating, and some seats at their bar. Our group of four was seated immediately on a Sunday afternoon.

Food was delicious. Service was fast. Ambiance was great- located right by the park and water. Great stop to eat after exploring the city- it's away from crowds. Plenty seating inside and shaded outdoor seating. Definitely worth checking out.

We arrived at Dellarocco's around 8:30pm and was seated on the outdoor patio. Server instantly brought over a bowl of water for the dogs and gave them treats. Super friendly service from start to finish! Tartufo (4/5): I thought the Tartufo was pretty good. It had a ton of truffle-y and cheesy flavor that all came together quite well. The thin crust was also light and airy, which made it less carb-heavy. If I had to nitpick, I did think that pizza was greasy with all the melted gorgonzola and mozzarella cheeses, and drizzle of EVOO. Glad I got to try this spot that was recommended by a Brooklyn local.

Nice, cozy, neighborhood spot for delicious pizzas. This place has a very welcoming vibe on the outside and the inside is popping but not overly loud. We ordered two pizzas and both of them we delicious. One was the truffle pizza (Tartufo) and the other was the Dellarocco. Both of the pizzas had an amazing balance of flavor and texture including the seemingly well balanced brick oven char on the bottom of the pies. My only gripe is that the Tartufo pie was very very thin...like only 1 millimeter in thickness so there was more pizza that I wished I had in that pie despite it tasting so good. Aside from that, it was a good spot that I would like to try again if I'm in the area...since we ordered two white pizza pies, I would like to try the red pizza pies next time.

3.5 stars. Pizza being delivered isn't the same experience when eating onsite. Dellarocca displays a really nice variety of pizza on their menu (also appetizers) categorized by red or white. A recent delivery order included Margarita STG (with Buffalo mozz) and the Siciliana (sautéed cherry tomatoes, smoked mozzarella cheese, shaved Parm and basil). Their style is Neapolitan/Naples. Delivery was quick and the pies were shareable personal sizes. The entire crust/dough was a bit chewy but good. While both pies were pretty good, the STG resembled the standard Margherita. I didn't detect buffalo mozzarella at all. And with regards to the Siciliana, some of the flavors outlined in the ingredients weren't detectable. Again, it is possible that delivering pizza on a somewhat cold winter night affects the integrity of it as compared to eating at the venue. That being said, I'll give it another try but in person.

The pizza was tiny and expensive. I waited 20 minutes to get my pie. When I got home and saw the pie, it was so sad looking and small. I was going to bring it back,but I just took the loss. I can't believe people wait to eat here.

First of all, everyone I encountered was incredibly kind. The hostess, the bartender, the gentleman who updated me about my order--everyone. Secondly, the pizza. What is this sorcery? I learned I was gluten intolerant a year ago, and pizza is one of the things I've greatly missed. Most gluten-free pizza is forgettable. But this. My gawd... I forgot I was eating gluten free. The crust is so light and fluffy and chewy, the opposite of most gf crusts. It was the best pizza I've had in the past year. I would move to NY just for this place.

I came here with friends and loved it. One of my friends is gluten free and said this was the best gluten free pizza she's ever had. I enjoyed a vegetable pizza that was perfectly cooked and very tasty. Service was decent and while the regular pizza was not mind blowing, I give it 5 stars because the restaurant and surrounding neighborhood was so nice to walk around and enjoy our pizza in.

Wonderful bistro in Brooklyn Heights! Good selection of draft beers and the Brussels sprout salad tasty with a hint of lemon. Pizzas are an assortment of combinations with a doughy crust. We had to send the pizza back for a reheat which was the only disappointment. Service is attentive and the bathrooms super clean which is always a good sign. Enjoy!

Dellatocco's is a bustling neighborhood restaurant close to the Brooklyn Heights promenade. In my opinion you can skip the long lines at the other better known Brooklyn pizza joints and get some world class pizza and fantastic service at reasonable prices right here. Not only is the pizza fresh and perfectly baked but it will amazingly arrive at your table within 3-4 minutes after you place your order. Five stars all around for Dellarocco's!

Dellarocco's is a decent neighborhood Italianesque restaurant, but for people seeking better value and higher quality, there are better spots in Brooklyn and across the river. For starters, the olives appeared to be canned and were pitted. While pitted olives are easier to eat, they are often saturated with liquid and just plain droopy. We were hoping for better olives to justify the hefty price tag. Just a week earlier, we paid the same for delicious, un-pitted olives. The vegetable starter was fine, with a nice selection to choose from. The margherita pizza with bufala and gluten free crust was the highest quality item ordered. The sauce tasted home made, and the cheese was the right consistency and amount. Dellarocco's was good but can do better. If it increases its quality, the whole experience will improve and the hefty prices will be justified.

Fun experience at Dellarocco's! Sat outside (1st time this season) and enjoyed the shed set up on Hicks rd in the ever-so-gorgeous Brooklyn Heights. Service was quick and very accommodating. Had a few apps: crostini (7/10), brussels sprouts salad (5/10) and meatballs (8/10), followed by 3 pies: Sicilian (6/10), white pizza (5/10) and margarita (9/10; really good!). All in all, not a hall-of-fame experience but a good one nonetheless.

Was in NYC for a business trip and spent the day in Brooklyn. Googled "best pizza places" and on each search Dellarocco's popped up so we decided to give it a try. We dined with gusto starting with drinks, an app, a pizza and desserts. Cute place located in the darling neighborhood of Brooklyn Heights. A nice spot with a bar and outside sidewalk dining as well. I had a Prosecco and the Hubs a beer (the Brooklyn lager on tap). Hubs drank it but it was off and they graciously replaced it gratis with another; a Coney Island IPA. We started with the crostini and man; was it damn tasty. Hands down one of the best apps we've ever had. Each was unique in flavor and the bread fantastic. We ordered a pizza to share (plenty with 3 slices each). While the pizza was good; it wasn't great. It's def more of an artisanal pizza cooked in a brick oven. I prefer my crust a little more heartier and cooked. If that's your jam than so be it; order away. The dessert was freaking fantastic! The gelato was THE most nicely presented gelato we've ever seen and darn tasty too. Our server was sweet, friendly and super attentive. The drawback and only reason I gave 4 out of 5 stars was another staffer who we referred to as the "hoverer". Never have we been made to feel rushed and hurried to finish so he could take away our plates. He was always in our general vicinity sweeping, wiping down a chair and brushing away (I think imaginary) crumbs. It put a damper on our overall experience. Honestly we'd def return and do an app and dessert. Filling, tasty food in a clean, enjoyable neighborhood. Two thumbs up!

Cozy Neopolitan style pizza joint. Very interesting pizza options with wonderfully paired toppings across red & white sauce bases. There is also a flight like pizza with four different types in one! Courteous & quick service. Enjoy with a glass of wine over candle light and conversations with your loved one or just by yourself if you talk with pizza like me

We were pleasantly surprised when we walked by this place on Wednesday night and decided to stop in. The pizza was delicious and service was good! We had: Margherita pizza - my favorite Siciliano pizza - recommend by the server Outdoor dining situation was okay aside from the flies. I really liked my wine - Argiano!

Lovely inside. Really light pour on the wine. The pizza has an amazing crust, but given the interesting toppings, the pizza wasn't that flavorful. Overrated.

Been here twice and had absolutely amazing food both times. Really awesome spot, the inside is very cute and feels homey. Staff has been very helpful and kind! Also, the pricing here is awesome. Could go to spots that aren't nearly this good for quite a bit more expensive. The cocktail list is great too, super fun and unique drinks. Definitely will come back if I'm in the neighborhood!

Really solid spot! I had the burratina and the Brussels sprout salad. Both were very yummy. However, the service was very slow. It took a while for our desserts to come out and when it did, it was just one of three tiramisus. We cancelled the others since we'd waited so long.

Pizza is delicious! Avocado salad was perfectly dressed! All of the wait staff were super attentive and friendly! Highly recommended for a romantic and casual dinner experience!

We were looking for pizza after leaving a tasting in Red Hook and this place came up on the search.. It looked great from the outside everyone looking content either chatting or eating we decided to head in. We were seated immediately by a very nonchalant lady, and offered menus and cold water (filtered, yaaaayyyy). I always try the simplest pie first time visiting a new parlor (plus there were few non pork options) and my friends ordered far heartier selections. The wait wasn't bad (about 20 min) and everything was served. My friend's husband even got a side of sauce to dip his pizza in, it looked so fresh. Everything was hot, fresh and delicious. There were a few charred areas but not enough to ruin the pie. Dessert/coffee menus were requested and we all ordered different things. Nonchalant server lady was this disconnected at every table, it wasn't just us. So we were ok with getting more stuff. My iced cappuccino was pretty good and my friends got the wrong drink. It was remedied fairy quick. But the tartufo came out 10-15 minutes after the coffee? So weird. I would definitely return, it's a beautiful space with tasty Margherita pizza.

We were in by brooklyn for one night. Our dear friend recommended Dellarocco's for "a real NYC pizza dining experience. Yes, the pizza was wonderful, but the vibe and the service (and the wine) was even better.

This place is LEGIT. Came here while checking out some houses, and absolutely loved the food. While the front looks unassuming, the back has a giant wood burning pizza oven cranking out delicious Neopolitan pizzas. My wife and I kept it classic with a margherita and a kale salad (to make ourselves feel like we were eating something healthy). The pizza was great. Right amount of salt, not too much sauce or cheese, a great amount of char... just perfect. Service was also super friendly and helpful in navigating the menu. Will be back here.

We've come here before covid and loved the pizza and service, and now it is our takeout choice for good artisinal pizza. I usually don't care for pizza crust, but I absolutely love Dellarocco's. It's not always a given with delivery, but our pizza arrived warm and ready to eat (not cold and sad). We ordered 2 pizzas - Quattro Gusti - includes 4 different types of pizzas - Margherita STG, Arrabbiata, Zucchini, and Dellarocco. The Arrabbiata (tomato, mozzarella, hot soppressato, spicy EVO) was by far our favorite and we'll probably order an entire pie next time. Monalizza (white pizza) - N'duja calabrese, ricotta, sweet orange tomatoes, mozzarella, Mike's hot honey - also our favorite. the tomatoes were a juicy compliment to the ricotta and hot honey (not too spicy) Definitely recommend and we will definitely be ordering again, but can't wait to be able to come back for in-person dining!

Been going to this place since I was younger. Absolute favorite place for some classic wood fired pizza in Brooklyn, 100% recommend, the staff is always friendly and the ambiance of the restaurant is extremely pleasant. The pizza is amazing and I have to recommend the tartufo dessert, incredible food.

The pizza here is to die for! I think I've thought about this place everyday since I went for the first time. The pizza is thin and light, which lets you indulge in multiple slices without feeling stuffed. I tried 3 different pizzas which included a vegetable one, plain cheese, and a meat one; I can't even decide which was my favorite because they were all 10/10. The service is fast and the servers are very friendly. Will definitely be back whenever I'm in NYC again!

Stopped here for lunch. The service was very good and we really enjoyed the pizza. Highly recommend if you are looking for a place off the Brooklyn Promenade.

An ideal day: Dellarocco's pizza, an aperol spritz, and outdoor dining. The pizza is so good but the crust is next level, as everyone else has mentioned on here. Fluffy, airy, and slightly charred from the oven. The pizzas aren't huge but you could definitely split one with another person. Or, just go for it and make it your own personal pizza. They have gluten free and vegan options as well. They've for sure followed all of the social distancing rules which I appreciated, so no one was seated right next to other tables. Will definitely be coming back here or ordering takeout! I have my eye on the pizza with truffle oil and the red sauce with pancetta and leeks.

The food here is ok but the service in the restaurant is very slow and their delivery is unreliable in terms of the time it is promised. They seemed to be permanently understaffed or incredibly disorganized. Not enjoyable. Stay away.

Had Sunday lunch here with a group of 4. We sat at an outdoor table which was set up nicely and the servers were very attentive. We ordered several pizzas to share; we ordered one per person but had plenty left over to take home. The Siciliana was our overwhelming favorite, and they had several good vegan options for the folks in our party with dietary restrictions.
