The 14 Best Wine Bars In Barcelona - Barcelona - The Infatuation

"This Poble-Sec wine bar feels like a place two sommeliers opened to hang out with their friends on their days off. You might stop by for a quick drink on their patio, and before you realize it, it’s midnight and you’re not sure how many hours have passed since you moseyed in. And best of all, you won’t care. There’s a wide range of natural wines from small organic producers, along with shared plates like Peking duck croquetas and grilled leeks with a zingy citrus vinaigrette, plus a string of excellent daily specials." - isabelle kliger

19 Best Tapas Bars in Barcelona, From Natural-Wine Bars to Market Stalls | Condé Nast Traveler

"Set on a busy pedestrianized street in Poble Sec, this is, first and foremost, a natural wine bar. While most of the bottles are from Catalonia, there are also options from further afield, including the rest of Spain and France. Take your pick among the almost limitless permutations of red wine, white wine, sparkling wine, pet-nat wine, ancestral wine, orange wine, biodynamic wine, vegan wine, and more. Unlike most wine bars where food is, at best, an afterthought, Denassus more than holds its own as a restaurant. Dishes are made from carefully sourced, local ingredients, all intended for sharing and each designed to pair perfectly with one of the many vintages on offer. The Peking duck croquettes and grilled octopus are both no-brainers, along with whatever happens to be in season." - Isabelle Kliger

A real find of a tapas bar with a creative menu, awesome wine list and terrific service. Seafood is super fresh and always a few amazing seasonal specials. Don’t miss the duck croquettes and tortilla. But everything is delicious. Prices are very fair for the superb quality. English well covered and service super friendly. It’s tiny so make a booking first. We have been several times in the past year and it’s always excellent

Fantastic service and food! We particularly enjoyed the Iberian ham sandwich and duck croquettes. We ordered the lighter red wine that was offered and it was so delicious! The waiters were quick and friendly, they gave explanations for the dishes we had questions about. The cheese board was extremely strong cheeses which we loved. The chocolate ganache dessert was incredible! I think the menu is quite creative but it’s quite small, I think a couple more options could be nice. My only disappointment was the prawns, these seemed quite expensive for how many we got.

The food was incredible. The service was very attentive and friendly. I appreciated they let us taste the house wine before committing to a full glass and we were able to choose a different kind. Highly recommend the tuna tartare and beef carpaccio - divine flavours and super fresh. This place is a little pricey but quite worth it.

Worth every penny! Showed up at 8:30pm without a reservation and luckily got a seating for 2. The food was delicious!

Absolutely incredible - amazing food, really good drinks, wonderful atmosphere. An absolute must visit. The duck croquetas and the Kabuki Eggs get a special shout out, but the eggs are a special so you may already have missed out!

We loved this place! I wanted to try it for a while because it has good reviews, we were happy to learn they also open all day meaning the kitchen doesn’t close. The prices are a bit high, specially contemplating the portions size, but the taste is really good, definitely worth it! We had also very nice Vermu and even the sparkly water was nice 😊 the attention is also worth mentioning.

Best meal in Barcelona - the Peking duck one is so nice that we ordered a second one. The garlic prawn is my personal fav - the slight spiciness is the spirit of dish. Highly recommend these two.

Yesterday I had dinner with my family visiting from Saarbrücken. A friend of mine told me a while ago about Denassus, a small Tapas, Vine Bar and Restaurant located in one of the famous Tapas Streets of Barcelona. Denassus is fun to go alone and sit on the Bar getting spoiled or even like yesterday, with a group of 7 people. To get the most out of it, we were asking one of the waiters, to put together a free style menu to share. It turned out genius, we had a variety of small plates, croquetas, 2 different types of Jamon, pan con tomate was not missing, Gambas, carpacio, an amazing Tomato Salad, finishing with two main courses of sirloin and sea bass. We tried three different deserts, and got chupitos de hierbas offered from the house! We were blown away by the flavours of each dish, their freshness and little details and twists which made them even more delicious! A tiny open kitchen behind the bar, where magic is obviously happening! The place was packed, but not loud or hectic, the staff is adorable and absolutely laid back and really friendly. Great service, well trained and professional, a lovely welcome atmosphere. The menu was perfectly chosen and proposed for all of us and we had an amazing unforgettable dinner and time at Denassus! A must go for locals and visitors.
