Denny's

My family is a regular diner. We’ve always enjoyed great service from our regular server Embaba. She is always busy seating people, taking orders, and yet she takes time to make us the most important customer before going off amd servicing the other most important customer. Lol

The servers make too much noise horsing around. Other than that, breakfast was nice. I asked for my egg over hard and was embarrassed for the cook at what I was served. Oh well, I enjoyed helping my husband eat his pancakes instead.

Clean & safe! The staff is attentive & honest if they don't have much coverage they'll tell you but still amazing service! My family enjoyed it & the food came out good! BTW they also have free wifi ! Incase little ones want to connect to their iPad etc. It's small & cute appreciate this location alot! Please support! After coming from great america rides this was the spot for semi late dinner place. Of course always affordable!

I usually go to Denny’s and I really like their breakfast.. Today I decided to try the “country-fried steak”, well, that is anything but steak!! It’s just like a giant somewhat breaded burger patty.. It’s was not bad, really, but when you order steak you expect to get steak, not some cheap version!!

After a long 12-hour drive, we stopped at Denny’s and were lucky to have Kenny as our server. He provided fast, friendly, and excellent service. The food came out hot and fresh. Great experience all around.

Our large family had a fantastic meal at this Denny’s recently. The staff was friendly and accommodating and everyone was happy with their orders that included well cooked salmon, loaded omelets, and a brownie sundae with extra spoons. Three cheers to Gerardo (server), Carlos (cook), and Mariana (manager)!!!

Usually eat here...the food is good. The food is usually hot, but this time my husband & my food was served cold. We sent it back. It was served again barely warm. They took the most expensive meal off the tab.

Maybe because I'm on business travel, but I like this 24 hour restaurant. The food was decent for the price and the service was good. It wasn't perfect, but for this price in this neighborhood, I'm not complaining.

Came in craving pancakes and French toast. Kenny was our server and he was great. Fast, friendly, and made the whole experience smooth!

Never got my order. Not even sure if I received a refund. Said my food was being prepared, forever, and then it just got canceled with no explanation

Great service from the waiter. We enjoy the food here always. Loaded veggie omelette is a good healthy option among all the other indulgences!

This is the best dennys on the peninsula. ITS INSANE that it has a LOWER rating than Hobees which is an actual living nightmare of a breakfast stop that people only hype up cause they're local and crave the past. THIS IS THE BEST DENNYS. BETTER THAN HOBBEES! In reality it's like 3.5 Stars but it being maligned as a 2.5 is ridiculous and we gotta up those numbers.

We recommend to all (esp weary travellers). Ordered breakfast. Service was great as well the environment. My wife and I enjoyed our meal. We noticed the parking lot was getting full. The location is on the edge of hwy 101 and Mathilda Ave in Sunnyvale

The restaurant was clean and modern-looking inside during our recent visit. They seemed to have steady business on a Thursday after midnight. Service was slow, and the staff seemed distracted, even while taking our order. My partner ordered the sirloin steak medium, but they served it more on the rare side. Still tasted good. For me, I just wanted a side of veggies but they only had broccoli available for the vegetable medley, said they were out of zucchini. That was disappointing, you can't really call that a vegetable "medley", so it wasn't worth ordering. Got a chocolate milkshake instead, lol... It was cold, thick and creamy, perfect sweetness, just yummy.

I was hoping there would be sandwiches like this coming for thanksgiving and Im so glad they put this on their menu the stuffing is delicious and I love how they didn't skimp on the cranberry sauce

Has the cooking staff changed ? I've gone to this location for many years and always had decent/ good food . But now two times in a row I've had burnt food. . I ordered a kids meal and got home to find it inedible . Last night I ordered the chicken fried chicken which was just as burned as this . My friends hash browns were burnt on the bottom . What is going on Dennys ?

Absolutely appalled with what happened last night and will never be returning to this establishment. My sister and I arrive and the first red flag was one of the workers was unplugging and re-plugging the POS systems. We order our food (4 items total) and it takes them 15 minutes to get our drinks. After we've finished, we notice the servers talking amongst themselves and ignoring multiple customer's attempts to get their attention. We finally flag down a server and ask for the check and she says she'll be right back. *20 MINUTES LATER* she walks back up to us to inform us that the POS system is down and wants to know if we'll pay cash or card. I reply card, and she asks me to Zelle her the amount and she can pay our bill once the system is back online. I do not trust that, so I say no. Plus I don't have Zelle anyway. She then asks if I can Apple Pay her...again I don't trust that nor do I use Apple Pay. I have a credit card and that's it. Long story short they made us leave my sister's name and number after I stated I didn't like how I felt like I was being held hostage over something that wasn't my problem, and that they shouldn't have taken people's orders before asking if they were paying cash or card as this system error had been happening for about an HOUR before we arrived. Also as a side note their chicken poisoned both my sister and I. We have been in and out of the bathroom all night due to the rubbery consistency of it. NEVER RETURNING to this establishment. Worst experience ever.

Came here this morning and I got seated right away. My servers name was Bruno S. it was actually the second time he's served me. He was good last time. He's super polite and gave proper service. Noticed he treats everyone the same. He sat me down and asked if I needed anything to drink and checked in when I was ready to order. Trying to diet so I just went full protein with the build your own slam. 3 orders of bacon ( 6 pieces ) and 2 orders of egg whites ( 4 eggs) . Came out quickly and I scarfed it down in prob 5-10 minutes. Left full and happy. Bruno was super chill and all around I had a pleasant experience. 5am simple quick break fast. Seated immediately and out like nobodies business. Thanks again Bruno.

This ain't my Denny's. My Denny's got torn down for housing down the street a few years ago. Regardless, they made the crispiest hash browns I've ever had. They were a mohagany-brown. The cooks pushed it as far as it could go without being burnt. I applaud them.

The food quality at this Dennys location is not good at all. Their service isn't any better. I wish I had read the reviews prior to visiting this location. I spent $24 on breakfast, however the hashbrowns were raw and too salty. The pancakes are just ok, nothing special. The fruit on the pancakes did not taste fresh, in fact the strawberries were too hard to eat and the bananas had seen better days. The 2 bacon strips seem like they were on a diet because the were so tiny and thin. I had not one person check on me to see if I needed anything, the wait staff are not rude but they also don't seem friendly. Once they find you a table you don't hear from them again, they do a great job at ignoring their customers. However you can hear them on the kitchen line laughing and socialize with each other. I would not visit this place again nor do I recommend it to anyone.

I frequent different Dennys quite a bit and I have to say the service here is sub par. Got seated immediately which was nice but then waited almost 10 minutes until I had time to flag someone down to come to the table. If you're not a senior citizen be prepared to be treated like that. I watched 3 other groups get sat and waited on immediately after sitting down. Pathetic. Long wait for food and burger of course comes out wrong with raw onions when I clearly said grilled onions. More dissapointment. Surprisingly the burger was actually good. Server tried being hospitable but by then my mood had been soured already from the poor opening. Word of advice go when its slow unless your older.

There is a Denny's minute away from us. We stopped by for the two T-Mobile Tuesday free stacks of buttermilk pancakes, one order of country fried steak with corn, fries, and garlic bread, and a side of two sunnyside up eggs and two sausages. The food was only okay. The service was good, but they made a mistake on the bill and charged us for one of the two stacks of free buttermilk pancakes. They offered us a free stack of buttermilk pancakes to take home.

The experience will vary for everybody, but I was pleasantly surprised with the good service from the older Mexican worker. I didn't quite catch his name, but it started with a B. Anyways, he was quick and very attentive to us during our visit. The food was good and the worker who helped us made the experience overall pleasant.

I've been coming to this Dennys for years and always loved the people and the food. This used to be very good. The last three times I have come, I've been over charged, received lackluster service and the food extremely greasy or gross. The bacon was limp and wet and didn't look cooked. The bread on my burger was soaked in grease and fell apart when I picked it up. I asked for my fries to be crispy and they came burned and limp. No offers of refills on expensive drinks. I get that they are busy but the greasy gross food is a whole different story. It's almost as if the chef soaked the burger in grease. I'm very sad I will no longer come here and see my friends who work here and have been seeing me for 16 + years.

So my fiancé and I came here after a pretty long day and we frequent this location often since it is close to our home. We have never really had any issues before at this location. Although tonight, different story... Our waiter sat us down we ordered our food and everything seemed all good. I get that it's a Friday night but the diner was pretty quiet due to the rain. Now we never complain because we both work in the Client Service industry. My fiancé ordered a plain cheeseburger with extra cheese and extra fries. When it arrived to the table it came with no cheese and literally 8 fries. When we asked for them to add cheese our waiter brought us a cold piece of cheese and said it's on me. As if he was doing us a favor. My fiancé was very disappointed. Being super hungry we just ate and said to one another maybe they can redeem themselves with the dessert. We both order the Lava Cookie Skillet and asked for one with vanilla and the other with chocolate ice cream. I know it sounds crazy but people like what they like. I don't know if he just wasn't paying attention or having an off day but being attentive is one of the number one things to be aware of in client facing situations. I don't wish to get anyone in trouble but I do think there is definitely a way to enjoy working with your colleagues without ignoring your customers. We needed to go the extra mile to be noticed tonight and now we are so unhappy and don't wish to return to this location again.

Came in today for a pickup, my husband explained how I was having pregnancy cravings of pancakes with extra glaze, they were way busier than usual but still managed to take great care of our order. Not only did they add the extra glaze but they left us a little note and some Goldfish snacks I just wanted to say thank you to the team for taking that extra time during their busy hours! PS: It's a girl!

When you order Mashed potatoes and gravy, I didn't think it was going to be watered down mashed potatoes and thick gravy, thicker than the potatoes. I had asked about to get another one thinking that it was just this one and she came back with a tray with the same runny potatoes to give to another customer. Oh my god, where was the manager to see this and I should of said something to them. I was a cook at a Denny's years ago and I would have never sent out something like this to anyone. It was like soup and think gravy. Come on people, we pay this high prices on food and thinking that someone would care. I have had great service and food here before but never like this.

I received these nasty fries (left side) as a side for my order. They were completely burnt and completely fell apart when I tried to pick them up. I asked the waiter immediately for a fresh set of fries (right side). How can someone take a look at these and serve this to their customers? I never asked for a burnt set of fries! Also that strip of paper was inside the sandwiches. They said it was the plastic from the cheese. There's no way you forget to remove the plastic from the cheese. There were more pieces in other parts of the sandwich almost melted into the sandwich and that was ordered for my wife 8 months pregnant. Never coming to this disgusting place again.

They are ok but damn they really crispier my chicken strips. And they are out of Ceasar salad ? Wth ! Like I said they ok I ate a lil bit

The breakfast I had here cooked Mario y Juan Carlos was amazing!! I ordered the classic Benny breakfast and a side of pancakes! Definitely recommend coming here in the morning!

Once again came to this location, just amazing I just don't understand how every single time they seem to amaze me. I love this place. I will continue in the future to always stop by here. When I'm passing by great place for breakfast. I ordered my eggs over easy. They came out, perfect bacon sausage, perfect. Pancakes, I mean, who doesn't love Denny's pancakes? I love this place. It will always be a tradition to stop at Denny's. And this location is, he's amazing everyone. Needs to go to denny's

The only reason I am giving it to stars is because the service was really good. However, my breakfast was awful. Barely ate any. I ordered an omelette with toast. I don't know what they did to the omelette, but there was a pile of oil under it that made it slimy. The toast was soggy. I picked it up and it literally just folded down. It was like it had been sitting for a while with butter on it.

My server Embaba T was Wonderful. The food was very good and tasty. The restaurant had a nice peaceful atmosphere. A Good Restaurant. Jackie Wallace

This one is ok..... even though throughout the US Dennys was voted quite unhealthy! The wings are good and they will give you plenty of condiments for dipping. The traditional eggs and fat with specs of bacon is still the chains staple. Wonder if the one up the road by the hooker hotel is still open. . Anyway, it's exactly what it's designed for. Convenience and cost. ‍

Ordered the Chicken biscuits and gravy bowl. Chicken was way over cooked. Dry and hard. Very disappointed

Ordered Cali Taco Skillet with Chorizo. Would have been fantastic if it had come with Avocado which they were out of and which the waiter failed to mention until after the food came.

Just got dropped off after an event for a late night bite to eat. There was a handmade closed sign on the door with a traffic cone in front. We could clearly see people, maybe employees, sitting inside. There were other people waiting outside when we arrived as well. They were also confused and no one came out to tell them what was going on, because it was still listed as open online.

This place has gotten me through a lot. Its pretty awesome, i like the smell of the food and the epic staff

We actually love this Dennys but every time we go there We get seated fairly fast a little wait to order. But every time we go to leave we have sat there almost an hour one time waiting for the Waiter to ask if we want a box or give us the bill. And the place can be almost empty. The other Dennys we would go to has been closed usually in and out of there fairly quickly. It's about the third time this has happened. So we decided to wait awhile till we come back.

I was extremely disappointed with my experience at Dennise Restaurant at sunnyvale. It seemed like customer service and quality food are not their priorities. The place felt almost like self-service--I received my food after a long time and silverware arrived 15 minutes later, after I had already asked one of the staff to bring some. Our server had a bad attitude and was far from friendly or helpful. Im sorry but apologies after a ugly response does not work for everyone. To top it off, my egg was undercooked. Overall, I was not impressed with either the service or the food. I wouldn't recommend this place.

Update: Since my initial review I returned 4 times in 5 days as I was staying close by. Every time the service and food were excellent! The app failed me when it came to my free birthday breakfast, but the excellent staff (Marco!) made it right. Will be back in 2 weeks when I'm bck in town again.

The food was very delicious, the service was very fast and above all, the restaurant was very clean. 100 percent recommended.

i've eaten at this location several times and the experience is very typical for this semi-fast food chain. let's start with parking...since i always come for late breakfast on a weekend, it's tough getting a spot in their parking lot which is shared with motel 8. i usually have to park on the street which isn't usually a problem but usually only a couple of spots left. since covid, i generally prefer to dine outside but this isn't a problem since most guests seem to prefer eating inside. they have a big outdoor dining area with tables socially distanced and a tarp protecting us from the sun on hot days. i pretty much always order the veggie omelet, sub egg whites, +side of english muffin and hash browns. (sometimes i choose toast...) the last time i came here, my friend ordered the cinnamon roll pancakes which was so beautifully displayed....i just had to take a pic for yelp before she ate it! service is pretty standard, not super speedy, but not too slow, and my order has always been made correctly. water refills are a little slower possibly b/c we always sit outside?? overall, a good spot to grab a quick meal on a budget. great location just off 101 & mathilda in sunnyvale.

Great food it honestly never disappoints me. I love me a good Denny's breakfast. The service is always good here. I enjoy my coffee refills. Be prepared to wait on the weekends especially during Sundays. Staff does a good job and moving things quickly. Greta ambiance like always.

I thought this Denny's was great! The food came out nice and hot, and the service was very quick and friendly! Ambiance was typical Denny's diner! Couldn't find anything wrong with it!

Maybe it's just me, but I've always loved Denny's, but only for breakfast! The service at this Denny's is great, it's busy but they keep up on their tables and the customers who ordered to go items. The restaurant has a typical Denny's feel but they do have free WiFi, which my family loves! The lumberjack slam is great and you can ask for extra crispy bacon (cooked out perfect)! Hash browns have always been my favorite and they never fail me, they were so good, I ate every bite on my plate. The only complaint I have is the syrup, you can tell it has a 'gum' ingredient because it's far too thick. I am from the PNW so 100% Canadian syrup is the only way to go!

I made an order directly through the website for delivery. I ordered 4 pancakes and 2 sides of bacon meaning 8 slices all together. I got my order and a whole side of bacon was missing and the side I did get was very undercooked. I called the store to explain what happened and the manager immediately started arguing with me about how many sides of bacon I ordered. She swore up and down that I only ordered one side of bacon even though I had the receipt and offered to send it to her and everything and she just kept wanting to argue about it instead. I couldn't even get a word in. She just said she would refund me and hung up on me. I called back asking how long the refund would be and she said she was watching the cameras to see how much bacon I got. She just kept repeating that I got my bacon and I kept telling her that I ordered and paid for two sides. It was so weird. She was beyond rude and unprofessional. I am actually so upset I am actually on the verge of tears because she was so cruel for no reason. I've never had this type of customer service interaction before in my life. Also the side of bacon I did receive is basically raw. Don't recommend going here.

THIS IS A LIVE REVEIW: I just had to walk out after being seated 10 mins and no service, no water... AND we were sat across from the bathrooms and there were plenty of other better seating available. This place has the worst staff: they are not decent or hospitable. Save your gas and money

Ordered my food through grubhub. They didn't start cooking the food until I arrived. Almost all the food was cooked in the microwave.... I asked the Manager if he was cooking the food in the microwave and he said "no" as the cook was punching in the audible buttons on the microwave. They assumed I don't speak Spanish because I am Asian.... They microwaved the mashed potatoes then cooked them on the grill. Same with my steak. Next time I will go to the food truck!

Wow! So I came in this morning at around 3:45am expecting a Denny's steak breakfast and a side of chicken for my dog and instead I received a delicious feast! This Denny's has decided that they will be adding themselves to the top of the breakfast spots from now on. Hallelujah! The top sirloin breakfast and chicken breast were delicious, yum! Even the eggs were perfect and I usually don't care much for eggs but these were beyond tasty and packed with flavor(not bacon flavor, but perfect seasonings type flavor) I thought I would be receiving some regular steak instead it was packed with flavor and cooked to perfection with that steakhouse type flavor! The service was excellent as I was helped by the gentlemen with the glasses who was very kind and delivered delicious food to my table with a smile. I am thankful I stopped in this morning because whomever this chef is, he's been cooking since a child because the food was tasty, fresh, and cooked with so much love! Thank you all! :) I'll be back!

if i could give this place 0 stars, i would in a heartbeat. food was mid af for a friday night and i definitely felt the racism at this location (mind you this place is ran by spanish speakers and i am asian). every Spanish speaking customer was greeted with a warm welcome and smile EXCEPT my gf and i. not once did they come around to our table to check on us but went to every other table to converse with them in Spanish, all while i had my hand raise for service, and the server just stared at me like a deer in headlights. our server, who is a short, red hair latina with a resting bitch face with drag makeup who is not wearing a name tag, never gave me water until the 3rd time i asked. when i asked the 2nd time, she raised her tone with me with the reply "i know". we came here on a slow friday night at 2:30am with maybe 4 tables occupied. aint no way she forgot. she also took 20 minutes to give us a to go box and it led us to ask another server for one and she gave it in less than 20 seconds. for whatever reason, they closed the portion of the restaurant where we were sitting at which leads towards the bathroom, they let everyone else go through but had to contemplate it when another asian customer asked to use the restroom. while we were eating, another employee brought the mop bucket and dirty ass mop to clean the floor that didnt need to be cleaned right next to our table ONLY to "clean" the area next to our table and no other spot. terrible service, discrimination at its finest. dont waste your time here unless you speak Spanish.

This is the 5th time I have ordered delivery from the Denny's App and this location has messed up the order. This location has missed items and prepared the wrong food. I went to the restaurant trying to understand how this continues to happen. They immediately blamed DoorDash. I explained that I didn't order through DoorDash, I ordered through the Denny's App. I was told sometimes the driver picks up multiple orders and gives the customer someone else's order. I said I can see that happening, but the receipt taped to the bag I received is my order and has my name on it. It had missing items and the wrong sandwich was made. They continued to blame DoorDash and had no manager on staff. I need to stop eating unhealthy food, so this is a great motivator as I don't plan to order Denny's in the future. This is just to warn people about this location's continued misses and lack of accountability. DoorDash drivers deal with a lot and I appreciate them delivering food to people who don't have the ability to drive or to those (like myself) who are lazy to just go pick the order up.

Open late. Ordered the turkey club with fries and a side salad with ranch. The wife and I split it. Plenty food. Very good. The ranch dressing is very good. Sandwich and fries just right also.

Mariana was our server and she was amazing!!!! absolutely delish mean hot chocolate with sprinkles is a MUSTTT!!!!!!!! so clean inside the restaurant literally sparked #YUMINMYTUM
