DeSano Pizzeria Napoletana

Wood fire pizza place. We got the the Americana (New York style), the lasagna, and the Margherita d.o.p. They have three sizes.... 9 inch, 12 inch and 16inch. You order at the counter. The staff was very friendly. They have fresh garlic, oregano and parmesan to top your pizza. Also, some oils were available. All the pizzas had good flavor. Lasagna was my favorite! It has ricotta cheese on it. Delicious! The New York style pizza had great flavor. It could have used more cheese. That is really my only negative. There was a bar area. It wasn't open when we went. It opened at 4pm. The gentleman working in dining area was very friendly and personable. To go boxes are available to grab. They have long tables for groups and high top tables. We will definitely be back.

From the moment I walked in, I was warmly greeted—the young lady who helped me with my order was absolutely amazing. I didn’t catch her name, but once I find my receipt, I’ll be sure to update this review because she definitely deserves recognition. She was incredibly sweet and made the experience even better. The vibe of this location reminded me of their old spot near Demonbreun, which I was a huge fan of. I used to go there all the time—since I was pregnant with my son, who's now 11—so I’ve got years of delicious memories tied to that place. The pizza was just as good as I remembered! They still had the toppings out like before, which I loved. The only noticeable change was the type of cheese. I think the old location had pepperino cheese—this was different, but still so tasty. Prices were great, the beer was on point, and overall, I’m thrilled with the new location. I’ll definitely be back soon to check out the bar area too!

My family and I absolutely love this pizza place. The pizza is SO good. We had “the pig” and the DeSano, as well as the meatballs (also amazing!) Not only is the pizza amazing, the person that took our was order was also an amazing person (Aaron) really really kind, helpful and upbeat. The pizza shop was clean, they also have a real changing bed for babies (not the plastic folding one) in the men’s bathroom too. We will definitely be back!

Located in the One Bellevue Shopping Plaza off Hwy 70 and Sawyer Brown Road, this pizza restaurant has delicious pizza and dessert. We had the Pomodorini with cherry tomatoes, basil, garlic, scamorza, mozzarella di bufala, and pecorino romano. The crust had a nice flavor and was fired nicely in the wood fired oven. We also had a Canoli that was delicious. You order at the counter, and they bring your food to your table. You can watch them prepare the pizzas in the open air kitchen. You can order 9 inch pizzas until 3 p.m. for lunch. They also have 12 and 16 inch pizzas. Substitutions/customization are not allowed/provided. You must choose from the menu items. The restaurant and bathrooms are accessible. They have a variety of tables to seat groups of different sizes.

So, overall a glowing review with one caveat... excellent pizza and extraordinary meatballs! Absolutely recommend with the warning that each additional pizza topping is $4/ea! I am no miser but when you see what amounts to a single mushroom, thinly sliced or a small amount of onion sprinkled on a pie and it makes the price almost 50% more expensive, it diminishes the experience for me.

So, after a not so good day at work, we decided to drive 40 minutes to a pizza place we have been wanting to go to for some time to clear our mind... A nice man said hi to us as soon as we arrived and explained to me where to order. So far, all was good. My issue was when we requested 2 beers.. the cashier said she needed to check something about my (valid) ID, I understand the procedure.... what I don't understand is why they had to be SO loud about it, and why should I be patient because they were not trained enough to know when an ID is valid or not.... at the end, I just wanted to get the pizza and leave.. after like 7min in this... they ended up bringing someone (like the 3rd person) from the kitchen they told them it was ok and gave us the beers... I just think... if they have doubts (which is understandable), they should have managed the situation differently... maybe let me order the pizza and sit us until they figured, but we had to be there.. just standing like we were doing something wrong in front of the rest of the people in the restaurant I don't know.. I feel just left a bittersweet on my month... obviously the pizza arrived and I think it was good .. maybe under other conditions I would have said they were amazing... I'm not sure if I would drive again the 40 minutes to come back even though it was good.

Delicious pizza! Came here on a Friday at 2pm, so we were able to get the lunch special. Got a 9in Margherita Pizza with pepperoni. On the side we got the chopped Italian salad which was a lot more than what I thought it was going to be. That was good as well. Nice little area to eat outside if the weather permits it. Would recommend!

I've been here a few times. I like this location in lieu of the other locations. Ample parking, and walkable shopping are my motivators. I really really love the pizza here. In my opinion you won't get better wood fired pizza anywhere else (that I've tried). There is a downside. One time I came here and they misplaced my order. After waiting for some time, I approached a staff member and they quickly started making the order. There seems to be a long wait time here and I only have come here when it's not as busy like a weeknight or a Sunday night. I always get the same thing: Margherita. It's so so good. They have self serve garlic and cheese you can get on your own. If you want plates you also get those on your own. They serve the pizza on a large baking sheet. The quality and freshness of the pizza is very good.

Excellent dinner and friendly staff. Stopped in for some wood fired pizza and it was a stellar experience. Italian chopped salad is definitely one to be shared - great balsamic dressing with tons of goodies. Pizza was perfectly cooked and toppings were fresh and delicious. Check it out!

So I love love love this pizza BUT the last two times I've gotten pizza here it's very very limp. As in questioning if it's been baked long enough. I like my slice not to smack my wrist when I try to hold it. If you like chocolate get the chocolate cannoli. I really liked the Rialto cab as well.

Fast food for sure. Not the quality I expected from website and adverts. Small for the price. Needed slightly more sauce. Didn't hate it for sure but wanted to love it more. Obv a chain.

If you want constantly good then this is the place! Service is always outstanding and fun to watch them make pizzas! The Chopped Italian Salad was delicious! Very generous portion to share and all the ingredients are fresh. Our little had the Americana Cheese Pizza and he ate the whole pizza, so that was a ! We shared the Pig Pizza and only regret is we didn't get the larger size. It was delicious and love their dough! Plus plenty of drink options, good beer selection on tap. Their Aperol was refreshing and good' Don't forget to visit their condiment bar when you're there...so many great options.

These fine people made a pizza for me and my mother on New Year's Eve after hours because it was he birthday. Incredible persona and absolutely love their work effort. Raises immediately!

Out of towner so normally get to visit once or twice a year. Reason for mentioning, DeSano pizza is always excellent, consistent and staff is always friendly and assisting customers in any way they can. Repeatable great service, great pie....what else is there to say. Thanks DeSano Bellevue Team, outstanding efforts.

Awful pizza today. We each took one bite of our pizza and threw it away. Definitely not up to Desano standards. The dough was both burnt and raw. Worst pizza we've ever eaten.

The pizza was great and the employees were nice. They have a few wine and beer selections, but unfortunately they do not serve cocktails- even though there is a huge bar area.. I wonder what that's about?

Only giving 3 stars due to it being delivered and not fresh at the store. The sauce was absolutely delicious and for my pie the only really good part of the pizza but that could easily be due to having it delivered. I'll go there in person at some point and try it fresh.

Pie was "good". It would've been even better if it wasn't burnt :/ I have a hard time with restaurants that have you prepay and even too when you have no idea what you are going to get. The staff was friendly and atmosphere was nice having the outside option.

I am shocked on how good this pizza was. I am from NYC and tried over 20+ pizza across Middle TN. No lie, these pizzas were the closest I have had to good pizza here! And that was Uber eats. Can't wait to come here and sit down and have it fresh out the oven!

Greatest restaurant we attended during a hockey tournament with the team. Food was amazing and the employees understood we were with a bunch of 13 year olds and still treated us with great service ! I can't recommend this place more highly than saying, if you're in the area, GO HERE !! Awesome atmosphere for families or a group of friends !

We LOVE the food here. But fair warning: if you care about the delivery person following Instructions, do NOT order on Yelp which is fulfilled thru GrubHub. We got our food on time and the order was complete, yet it was left outside in the freezing temperatures for who knows how long because the delivery person did not follow instructions for handing it to me rather than co tactless delivery. Even a ring at the doorbell would have been fine, but no- just wo during where the food was to open the door and have it sitting there. Needed to reheat it both times and complained. After the first time GrubHub assured us it wouldn't happen again so we took a chance and got delivery thru them again. Sadly it was the same thing. Lesson learned, from now on we will pick up ourselves or dine in. Now onto the food itself: We love the pizzas made in their pizza ovens, they're unbeatable! We also get the 5 piece meatballs and always wish we ordered double! Highly recommend their food. Wish they delivered themselves or with company other than GrubHub.

Always great pizza but you've also got to try the meatballs or the caprese salad - yum! Very friendly staff too.

DeSano's in One Bellevue occasionally has live blues on certain weekend nights. Paired with dining al fresco on their open air porch and baseline excellent pizza, it's such a great regular date night option. There's really something for everyone here. In the back, those who enjoy a cocktail can find a fully stocked bar, and the pizzeria offers standards like margherita to house specials. You'll find families with children attending hockey practice at the local rink to couples enjoying a night out in Bellevue. If you're on the porch, you can bring your pup to enjoy some people watching and pizza as well. Lightning quick service paired with solid food and entertainment never did anyone wrong. Love this location as much as any Desano's in town. Perhaps more so due to the live music.

We have been to the DeSanos in downtown Nashville but I think I like this location better. There is plenty of parking and the restaurant is well-lit with lots of natural light. Same set up--order at the counter and they bring the food to you. My family ordered various pizzas but I went with the meatball sandwich. It's HUGE. I ate one half and took the other to go because there was no way I would be able to eat the entire thing in one sitting. The bread is really just pizza crust, so it really is like eating a folded piece of pizza. The sandwich was on the salty side, but really it was so good. They do need to work on their craft beer offerings. Other than that, I would definitely return. High quality ingredients in a clean, spacious setting? Yes, please!

Quality wood fired pizza, clean cool, ambiance, long bench seating at long Viking tables. Staff was nice and courteous but no one was at the front when we arrived. Great place/pizza!

Wow, the pizza is great! We ordered a couple of large pizzas for carry out and they did not disappoint. It was our first time trying the pizza here, so we ordered the Desano and the Lasagna pizza. They were both delicious, but our favorite was the Desano. We will definitely eat here again.

You order at the cash register up front. There may be one employee to take your order if you are lucky. The same person is taking phone orders and running to the bar to get you a glass of wine or a draft beer. Meanwhile the line is growing. Uber Eats and other delivery drivers are trying to pick up their orders that are already in the warmer but they have to wait in line behind walk-ins who haven't quite decided what to order yet. The line gets long. It is unbelievably inefficient. Why can't the management figure this out. There is a bar but no bartender. The pizza is good but service is non-existent. Then they swirl the little computer around for you to enter the tip amount

Food is good but service is nonexistent and ambiance missing. We have to get our water over and over. There's not even a pitcher of water provided at the table.

There is nothing to ding them for. However, some might think it's pricey. The ingredients are all of the highest quality. It's truly like no other pizza I've had, and cannot be described how good it is, without actually trying it for yourself And a suggestion for first time customers, eat there the first time. Take out, then a 15 minute drive home sitting in a box, simply won't do this justice. You're welcome for the tip Amazing pizza

Great spot, family friendly, excellent service and the pizza and salads were perfect... Here for a hockey tourney and they handled our large group perfectly with short notice. Killed it!

Only come here if you want cold pizza and them to screw up your order. I called this place ordered two simple pizzas and a dessert pizza and I was told it would take 20 minutes. I got there 35 minutes later and was told they were still working on my dessert pizza- only for them to bring it out and it to be a small cheese pizza. Like come on this is absurd. Do better with your customer service. I didn't think to double check cause the employee seemed on top of it-but I was wrong.

Our in-laws raved about this place and we went there to place a takeout order (for some reason, my in-laws thought they did not do takeout orders by phone). We ordered two pizzas, and in my opinion they were kind of overpriced. We waited a long time for our pizzas and had to check with the hostess to see how long it would take. There is a full bar off to one side, and we saw some patrons enjoying their cocktails. The pizza was okay but not outstanding, in my opinion. I've had better, tastier pizza elsewhere. I've been spoiled by some awesome pizza places near our home.

We love this location! The pizza is so delicious and fresh, it's very family friendly. With the outdoor gathering area next to it, it's perfect to grab a pizza with friends and enjoy a drink for a minute while letting the kids roam. Everyone has always been so friendly, we come here frequently! Take our out of town guests too! Highly recommend the lasagna pizza (oh the ricotta! Wow!) and the pizza with peppadews (forget the name but it's simple and soooo good)!

After a few years away, we moved back to Nashville to be closer to our favorite pizza place. Just kidding, it was to be near family and our favorite pizza but maybe not in that order. This place gets it right and it starts with the dough. Everything else after that is just icing on the pie.

Best pizza I've ever had. Hands down best pizza spot in Nash. Live music outside, too. Bring the whole fam!

This is family's favorite pizza restaurant!! I grew up working in my parents hometown pizza restaurant and DeSanos pizza is fantastic! Thank you for making pizza I love again! The best!

The pizza would have been great if it had been hot. Unfortunately the outsourced delivery service is subpar.

My parents and I stopped by the DeSano's in Bellevue for dinner tonight and everything was delicious! I've been to the location in Midtown but this was my first time coming to this one. The layouts were pretty similar with lots of large tables (excellent for big groups), and a bar and big pizza ovens. We started with a salad - big enough for three people to share, and then we got two small pizzas. We opted for one vegetarian option, the Bianca, and one with meat, the San Gennaro. One of my favorite things about DeSano's is their area with fresh toppings like garlic, Parmesan, coarse salt, pepper, olive oil, balsamic, etc. We all got different things to add to our slices. I personally thought the Bianca tasted amazing with a little fresh garlic added on top. The pizzas were ready quickly and the service was great. Can't wait to come back soon!

First time visit yesterday and somewhat disappointed. First the guy taking our order was not super helpful, though not rude was a little disengaged. I also noticed during our time there he seemed more occupied with his phone whenever there was a small break between guests arriving. We ordered the Margherita Pizza. The crust was slightly burnt but still tasty. My biggest complaint is that a single small basil leaf placed at the center is nowhere near adequate.

I give it a solid "Meh." We got the Desano, which I would assume is their signature offering. It was fresh, but the flavor was just ok. I definitely could not taste any higher quality ingredients than what you would get anywhere else. The most frustrating part was that it pretty much had no cheese on it and was rather expensive for what we got. I can't figure out what all the hype is about for this place. ‍

Quick service. Friendly staff. Great food. Prices are reasonable. Great for kids as they can watch pizzas being made while you wait and eat. Long tables may not be as great for intimate conversation though I've not seen it fully packed or had to be unusually close to others. There are a few smaller tables but most are long with 6-10? Seats on each side. No fountain drinks but old fashioned glass bottle sodas with real sugar cane instead.

Real deal Neapolitan pizza!! Well-sourced ingredients, expertly crafted. Would make Vincenzo's Plate proud!!

1/15/23 This is a fast casual restaurant but the service we received was well above that. Staff were all very helpful from the young lady at the register (Ayla) to the three other cooks/manager that helped us thru our visit. Spinach salad was a great starter. Very fresh ingredients, healthy amount of toppings, shareable size. Pizzas are great. Just the right proportions of toppings, cz & sauce. We've ordered take out & delivery from this location several times in the past & it's always consistently great!

I Love pizzas that are made in a woodfired oven. That said, I found the pizza I had was very good. Their draft Italian beer was a bargain. The service was very quick and friendly. I will surely return.

I got a MASKING TAPE pizza!! This is an expensive pizza therefore something like this is unacceptable. If they allowed MASKING TAPE that is fully visible and tasteable in their product, what other things and insects are allowed in the pizzas that we simply do not notice!! Scary! I am very disappointed and I would be scared to try again a DeSano's pizza.

Solid pizza joint with plenty of seating and fair prices. You order at the register, which I can forsee becoming troublesome during peak hours as it's right at the door (no where to form a line and a super congested area). The design layout when you first walk in is very questionable but there are plenty of tables to choose from once you get past it. We got the desano which comes with pepperoni and sausage. It was tasty but be warned that the pepperoni does have a kick. The crust is the best part being perfectly chewy and soft. I do wish the sauce had a bit more flavor but this place is for sure one of the top pizza places in Nashville. Also wanted to add- I really hope they start operating during lunch hours on weekdays!

We stopped in on a Monday night and absolutely loved the food. The environment is great with a casual feeling. You order and pay at the counter and then sit with a buzzer that tracks where you are so they bring it to you. Our cashier gave us a tip that the kids in our group could ask for dough to play with from the pizza chefs, who work in an open area with wood fire ovens. They had a blast playing. The pizza with peppadews was amazing and you could even buy a small jar of them to take home! Bruschetta and caprese were top notch and fresh. Kids garlic bread was a little thin and crunchy, but tasty. We liked the self-serve water and "condiments" area where you could mix up your own olive oil and balsamic or red wine vinegar, as well as black and red pepper, Parmesan, and fresh garlic. Only downside was it was pricey. Very nice part of town and location within a cute strip mall, so makes sense.

This place has good pizza but the service sucks because they take on too many orders. Was told it be a half hour but was a full hour on a pick up order. Our pizza came up in the window but the guy walked away for 15 minutes and it sat and got cold. Got it home and one of the pizzas was wrong( we should have checked before we left) they would not answer the phone so we can get a refund.

The food is amazing but the service is rough. Almost always a disappointing experience with the staff. Most recently, I called multiple times to place a pickup order, no answer. Finally drove there to place the order in person, it was not busy and the staff was just letting the phone ring and not picking up.
