DeSano Pizzeria Napoletana

There are lots of great food options in Assembly Hall. The pizza at DeSano is always one of our favorite options when visiting the hall. As native New Yorkers it's always hard to find really good pizza compared to back home. We feel DeSano makes great pizza and would even do well in NY. The pizza and ingredients are always fresh. Everything is quick and made to order. They have lots of interesting and tasty pizzas to choose from if you don't want to build your own. One my familie's favorite things to do is to grab a pizza from Desano, a drink from the bar, then head over to the center of the hall to enjoy our food and drinks along with live country music that's always being featured!

This type pizza needs to be cooked properly. Too raw. Good ingredients. Cool spot. Worth trying again

We stopped here one evening with another couple. We were able to order right away. The employees at the order area seemed very unhappy and not afraid to show it. Not the normal type of southern hospitality we're use to in Nashville. The pizza was good. The employees were not very accommodating when we inquired about to-go materials. The seating area is a pretty cool open area where you can watch the employees toss dough and make pizzas. The employees in this area were friendly. The food was decent but I will probably opt for friendlier service elsewhere. Customer service is important to me.

We had a calzone and it tasted great. Would definitely recommend and return. The vibe at Assembly Food Hall is cool, and they often have live bands.

Came to get pizza tonight 2/11/2024, all lights were off at 8:53 pm and wiping the counter down appearing to be closed. When asked if we could order they said yes but both employees (young man and girl) at counter were extremely rude. She told me I was being rude when I asked why he had charged me $9 for 3 cups of water. Then told me well go to the bar they’ll give you cups.

Although in a food court, pizza was real napolean , nice thin soft crust, liked the cheese taste

The Il Maiale had a great crust. It was crisp yet tender, with enough structure to not be floppy at the point. The flavor was good, aside from being too salty. The meats involved certainly tend that way, but it's not inevitable. Here the toppings were strewn unevenly and without proportion. Maybe other locations care more?

Delicious fire oven pizza. Crust was on the thinner side, but this was a solid Neapolitan pizza. Will get again, the sausage was fresh and tasted great.

The larger size pizza is a perfect meal to split for 2! They're super quick to make these up and it was delicious. Ours had spicy peppers and sausage with buffalo mozzarella and YUM. The dough is super doughy and airy...it tasted so fresh and pretty authentic napoleon pizza. So so good. I'd 100% recommend.

Pizza Pizza Pizza! We got this plus a salad and it was a delectable lunch! Fairly quiet for a Tuesday but I can imagine this place buzzing on game day especially since it's right next to the stadium! Love the patio area and def plenty of seating inside! Service was friendly and fast so no worries there! The drizzle of balsamic was an extra touch on the salad! Grazie!

The pizzeria offers woodfire pizzas which are almost like an authentic pizza. I have been here multiple times and it never fails to make you happy. They also comes with condiments like chili flakes, shredded parmesan and olive oil. The pizzeria is located in the assembly food hall where food meets music and amongst all the other options out there, DeSano is a must try!

Located at the Assembly Food Hall which is a foodie food court so family friendly vibe and live music. Lots of seating too. Easy to order and lots of choices. Everything is cooked fresh and pizza came out quickly. Unfortunately my crust was a little burnt but the pizza flavors were good and crust was crispy yet doughy.

I am a big fan of pizza, as most of us are, and I was pleasantly surprised by this location. It is located in a very busy part of town with lots of other restaurants but holy crap the pizza was delicious. The next time I am in Nashville, I will coming back here to try the other options. They did have a lot of options that I really want to try. Lots of music and the vibe is just right for a night out with the family and friends.

This is in the Food Hall so the vibe is great wherever you are! Pizza is nicely done, neopolitan style. No frills and just enough to enjoy yourself or even with others. Service is friendly and fast. ...they are cooking you a fresh pizza, so wait a minute and relax. You'll be glad you came! I will definitely visit again if I have the chance.

On a recent visit to Nashville, we took our teenager out to enjoy the sights and sounds of Broadway. We grabbed dinner afterward at DeSano in the nearby Assembly Food Hall. It has a great, family-friendly vibe. We walked right up to the counter to order, and the pizzas came out quickly. We really enjoyed the ones we ordered - bianca, margherita, and the hot honey pepperoni.

I really enjoy Napoletana style pizza and this one doesn't disappoint. I ended up getting the Margarita style and it was very tasty. The crust wasn't over done. It was soft yet fully cooked. It had excellent flavor and it folded perfectly. The service was fast yet not overly friendly. It's located in the food court off Broadway and the ambiance fits its location. Plenty of bar style seats around the wood fired pizza over to enjoy your food.

DeSano is a fantastic spot for Neapolitan style pizza, located in Assembly Hall. I've been to DeSano many times during my three week visit to Nashville, and the pizza has been consistently excellent, and always read very quickly. The staff is also very friendly. I was surprised to find such great Neapolitan pizza in a food hall, but if you're a pizza fan, don't miss out!

On the drive home from Chattanooga and just had to get some DeDano's pizza. As usual, the food is at its finest. Got the Capresse for starters and that actually was better then the last time we were here! I like the setup they have, seeing what's cooking is lost as good as eating it. Service was fantastic as the kids usually are great with customers. Do yourself a favor, if you're a fan of pizza, especially wood fired pizza...go get some DeSano's. You will not be sorry!

This was our second time trying the DeSano location at Assembly Food Hall. We have never ordered a bad pizza from this location. The taste of the sauce is absolutely delicious! Pizzas are offered in two sizes, and the large is the perfect size for sharing. The large pizza oven makes for a great tasting crust. The wait time for your order is reasonable, too, since the pizzas are made fresh to order. We haven't tried any of the other items, but this is one of our favorite stops when visiting the food hall.

I came two days in a row the first time the food was good and the service was good. But today my server was Laura A and she was not polite she made us feel rushed she did not smile once and when we asked her for recommendations she was rude. So sad because the food is good just bad customer service. The business has only teens working at this time Tuesday Nov 5th 2024 5:30 p.m. I did see a lady peak out but she not in the front. So unfortunate for the owners....

Located on the 2nd floor of Assembly Food Hall. Couldn't really tell you what the food is like. Two black t-shirt employees behind the counter enjoying their conversation with two black t-shirt guys standing in front of the counter. Didn't appear to be ordering food, waiting for food or doing anything but tying up the two employees who didn't care about taking an order from a paying customer. Gave them several minutes to politely ask if I wanted Something. Completely ignored. My advice is go elsewhere.

Hot and fresh pizza at Assembly Food Hall. The dough is pretty good! I had a Classica VPN Margherita pizza. Sure, I wish it came with more fresh basil, but for a quick brick oven pizza at a food hall, it was pretty satisfying.

Anything time I'm on vacation, I always gotta try a pizza spot. Found this place inside the food hall. Went back twice in one day first time the service coulda been better the second time cashier was a lot more friendly. Pizza was pretty good tho

This pizza was soooo good after a night out. I wish I got to try the stuffed crust, but all of their pizzas look yummy and the one I got was sooo tasty! The pizzas are mostly personal sized so definitely is enough for 1, you can get the larger one to share with someone. Definitely get some basil as it elevated the pizza. The dough is perfect, has a great bite and char to it. I wish it was in more places in Texas

Really good brick oven pizza.... especially when drinking! Friendly service and pretty quick too. Tasted great and a good size for the price.

'Twas a late night in Nashville and was looking for something to eat at the Assembly Food Hall. We couldn't decide and weren't that hungry, so my friend and I split a margherita D.O.P. pizza ($19 total). This pizza was garbage. It was like a more upscale version of a wood-fired pizza that you could find anywhere. This one tastes just like one of those kind of pizzas but was just way more expensive. There's really nothing special about this pizza except that it's fresh (I guess?). The undercarriage was nothing to die for, the cheese was standard, and the sauce disappeared sometimes. Overall, I would not recommend going here because of the value. Usually pizza is something cheap that can feed a lot of people. But just get hot chicken or literally anything else because you'll be saving so much more money that way.

We absolutely love margarita pizza we came here last year and we came here for lunch and their pizza was amazing so much so we came back for lunch the next day. Whenever we come back to Nashville we will most certainly come back!

Decided we wanted some thing not traditionally Nashville for dinner tonight. So went to the assembly food hall and came upon DeSanos pizza. This is a traditional New York Neopolitan pizza style. Thin crust cooked at 800°, really fast. The crust was cooked perfectly, the sauce was outstanding, good, mozzarella cheese, and nice pepperoni as an addition. Truly hit the spot for a former NY/NJ girl and guy. I also have the spinach salad, which was nice, enjoyed the artichokes and Craisins in it. Gave it a five star rating, but keep in mind it is a food court, nothing fancy.

Located in the Assembly Food Hall on Broadway Level 2. Menu is posted on the wall and ordering was quick and easy. I only wanted a quick snack and the 3 Meatballs hit the spot. They were the size of golf balls yet tender and juicy. Good flavor of seasoning with fresh basil and parmesean cheese on top. I do wish they were a little hotter but they were good and I would order them again. The meatballs are served in a bowl with extra red sauce and 3 pieces of pizza bread for dipping. The pizza bread is also well seasoned. Very friendly staff and my order came up very quickly.

Lazy staff. Food is good, but last week I paid $17 for a personal 9" pie and the staff member (who forgot to ask me if it was for here or to go) threw a box at me when she handed my pizza on a tray, after I apologized for failing to remember to tell it it was to go... She told me I can "box it up" myself and put the tray over to the side when I'm finished. Awful customer service. If I'm not on DeSano's payroll - I shouldn't have to box up my own overpriced pizza!

The restaurant does not serve their Nutella dessert pizza until close. This is not stated on the menu but the employee informed me (at 11:20 pm) that they couldn't help me because their nuts for the pizza gets wrapped up at midnight.... Yeah I'm confused too but don't worry he went to his fellow employee to make fun of me after that good luck if you try this place!

The only negative I have is I truly wish they sold by the slice! But regards the pizza is delicious! We went during the day so parking was readily available and we were in and out with out pizza.

Hands down the best pizza I've ever eaten and I routinely drive 40 plus miles to get there. I usually get their margarita pizza and chopped Italian salad. The salad comes on a tray and is large enough to easily split between 3 or so people. The pizzas are a little smaller so I recommend getting a couple of pies to split. Parking is a huge hassle or very expensive, so plan accordingly.

This is a great place to go if you are craving good pizza and you are limited with transportation (i.e. working downtown and don't want to drive far for lunch) I walked in and the place (Assembly food Hall) is packed like crazy of course. I figured it wouldn't be busy on a Tuesday. Boy was I wrong. It was tourist heavy but also lots of workers from downtown. I placed my order and they asked me for my phone (they were gonna text me when it was ready) - its a pretty good system because people stray away far. I should have as well because it took 15 minutes to make my pizza. I really didn't have time to venture and explore the other offerings in Assembly Food hall. It is a MASSIVE food court and the view of the Ryman is amazing. If you don't mind the wait, its really good pizza.

Love this place! The pizza was the best pizza I've had in the US so far! I've traveled to Italy and it's really close! I didn't even need truffle oil or any extra garnishing because it was that good! I ordered the POMORDORINI which was delicious and would definitely go back for more !

The calzone was burnt on top luke warm in the middle and under cooked on the bottom. Service was poor. I asked for knife and fork and got sent to a food service station that does not have anything but straws and drinks. We ate less than half and threw it away For the price of this meal, the quality and the service I would never recommend this place to anyone

Went at the recommendation of a friend when visiting from STL. A little wary when our Uber driver dropped us off but WOW! What a great pizza experience! Had the Italian chopped salad along with the Diavolo pizza and was the perfect amount for two people. Wine options aren't the best but some good beers on tap.

Pizza was delicious! Service could have been better, maybe the young lady (LAURA A) working there was having a bad day, the young men were far more pleasant than she was! Ambiance is nice for being in a food court in huge mall called "Assembly Food Hall". Prices were fair especially for Downtown Nashville!

I've seen this place in the past and decided to finally give them a try - glad I did. I got the Americano with sausage and it was quite tasty with a good, not spicy flavor profile from the sausage. Many pizza places want to burn your tongue off with spices, but not here yet it still tasted great. Food hall fare can be hit or miss, but I highly recommend that you give them a try for pizza; I don't think you will be at ALL disappointed. Handy hint: If you're hungry, get the 12"; a 9" pizza is smaller than you think.

Insane Margarita pizza. Was in Nashville for an extended stay and planned on eating at a new place every night and came here multiple times because it was so tasty.

When it's after midnight in Nashville and you're hungry, it feels like your options are pretty limited... I was wandering around the Assembly Food Hall and didn't want midnight sushi, but across the sky bridge, I found a ton of other options and I knew that this was my spot. The oven is gas fired brick and it gets just as hot as coal/wood and I knew that my pizza would be 1) fresh and 2) HOT. The line moved quickly and my pizza was ready about five minutes after it was ordered. They really moved through the orders quickly! The Margherita pizza was great! The crust was airy, light and chewy with flavorful sauce and cheese. Really nice leapording with a good crisp on the bottom. They offer all kinds of other pizzas, but I didn't want and meat toppings or anything greasy. The Margherita really hit the spot.

Good pizza. Lots of good food in assembly hall, if you're looking for something quick and easy get the pizza.

The pizza was fresh and delicious. I would highly recommend this. We got the Margherita which was amazing. Can't go wrong!

Do I even need words? Just look at the pictures. No one who cares would send this garbage to paying customers. Next time we'll just get Domino's.

This is THEE most underrated pizza in Nashville. I got a personal pizza called THE PIG and its one of the best ever. They fire it up in the stone oven and text you when its ready. Its thin, light, fluffy and the cheese is perfect. It tasted like a BLT and I was blown away. Was not expecting amazing taste. They dont accept cash which is disappointing but the pie was superb. Its a gem in Assembly Food Hall.

After a busy day of football, dancing our assess off at Dierks Bentley for nearly 4 hours, mama was hungry! TFG there was the Assembly Food Hall and this pizza haven! We popped in and got ourselves personal pies to dive our faces into after one full throttle Sunday Funday. The pizzas were super tasty! And that crust girl. Yaassss! I'm here for it. It was epic. Definitely hits the spot. Fast and fresh too!

Authentic pizza...fresh ingredients. Love the garlic and oil they give you on the side. My husband is from Italy. This is legit pizza!

If I could give this place a negative amount of stars, based on service alone, I would. The cashier behind the counter here was more interested in texting and asking us the stupid tip question instead of actually taking our order or asking if we wanted to order a drink. Lazy, lazy. Layyyyyyyyyzeeeeeee!

Very good late night pizza stop 1/2 block off Broadway and the bars. The pizza dough was light, had a good chew. And the sauce was just right. Highly recommend to everyone.

The pizza was great! The girl taking the orders wasn't friendly and the atmosphere was just ok. We were told they are moving but the place still looked like it needed a good clean.

Took a trip to Nashville, boyfriend was craving some pizza so we decided to try out DeSano Pizzeria. Located in the food hall, service was quick and easy. Ordered our calzone and margarita pizza and within 10 minutes, it was out. Food was warm, pizza was a 9" personal, the calzone, could have actually been shared. Delicious, great taste, would recommend and return if we visit Nashville again!

DeSano makes my FAVORITE kind of pizza--Napoli-style!!! Excellent chewy crust baked in the real Pizza ovens from Italia! We ordered Margarita Pizza + Pepperoni & it was PERFECTO! We LOVE San Marzano sauce. We could go on & on why this pizza is THE BEST! Instead, we say just run there to try Delano's DELISH pizza for yourself!

One of the best pizzas I have had had it twice while we were there. The crust is amazing and the staff was so nice.

Good Italian pizza. Good solid choices on the menu. My son loved his pepperoni and my veggie and meat is so good. Located in a food court so area there is something for everyone. There is also a bar! Food court is attached to the Renaissance hotel.

Desano Pizzeria in Nashville is a great place to go for delicious and fresh pizza. I really like the different types of toppings that they have available here and have been impressed with all of the orders that I have made from here. The staff here is very friendly and efficient at getting everything together.
