Nice spot for lunch we had very friendly service wasn’t especially quick but it wasn’t slow either. Ordered a burger and a chicken sandwich. Both were tasty. One was a little bit dry but not bad. Fries were good. Nothing special. It’s a nice spot. I like the window seats so you can look out at the airplanes. I would eat here again.

Google
Great early morning experience. Food was fairly priced and delicious. Coffee was hot. It’s an open space overlooking terminals. Lots of clean places to sit. I’ve been here other times but have yet to leave a review, it’s always been a good experience.

Google
I can't speak for the speed of service as it's weirdly empty in this terminal in general right now. However, I can say that while the food was good, it's definitely airport prices. Especially for the burger I had which came out smaller than I expected and like a SMALL handful of fries. But it was delicious and I gotta shout out to the pub pretzel as pictured. It's a circle and comes with this DELICIOUS cheese/garlic spread. They also only have stouts/IPAs but the King Cripsy pilsner is pretty dang good! Overall I very much enjoyed my experience, just small portions but my company pays for my food on travel so I'm perfectly fine charging more. But the staff is VERY friendly and attentive and the food itself is quite delicious though small. This airport doesn't seem to have the best selection of food but this place is definitely worth it (airport wise of course)!

Google
If you can't visit their place downtown, you can at least get some fresh Deschutes beer while you wait for you flight, but I'd do something else for food IMHO if you can get to their OG spot. The service was great and the atmosphere is 'airport', with no way to avoid that special vibe of people walking somewhere with purpose. They were also out of the specific beer I wanted, and so I settled for a different brew, oh well. Great way to start a trip but Loyal Legion is the better spot IMHO.

Google
James was a great server!! Super friendly and made sure to take care of everyone there at about mid afternoon. Had the Mac n Cheese and the garlic fries, both were delicious!

Adam Moore

Google
Bartender was rude and is terrible at his job. Went to the counter for a beer because server was backed up doing to go orders at their grab and go. Just wanted a single beer and to close out right away. If you're in a hurry(like most people at airports) or want fast service go elsewhere.

Nicholas Klein

Google
Great little spot, super quick to order from QR Code and pay all from phone (I know a lot hate this but you CAN also order with the waiter - though I'll admit the one we had serving others seemed impatient with this approach). Great breakfast burrito and great French toast with bacon. Of course overpriced as you expect in an airport.

Google
It’s been a while since I’ve seen anyone hate their job as much as the bartender who worked this evening. I wanted to switch seats from a table to the bar, but unfortunately I already placed an order and she said “sir. Just go back to your table. It would be too hard for anyone to find you!” Just go back to your table. It was literally moving 3 feet from where I was. If I had not already ordered my glass of wine, I would’ve walked out of there. Lady learn some basic customer service. Sorry you hate your job, but it’s not our problem

Yelp
Deschutes Brewery changes its Specials menu daily, offering soup of the day, flat bread variety, main course meals. A favorite of my adult kids is the Mac and cheese, made with Black Butte Porter (beer). Another favorite is Deschutes' IPA Pretzel, served with Monterey Jack cheese sauce, Black Butte Porter Stone ground mustard. Located in the heart of the Pearl District of downtown Portland. Restrooms available indoor. Heated during cold weather like now! Very crowded in early evening. Be prepared to wait for a table. Street parking or public garage available.

Yelp
We had ample time to grab a quick drink before catching our flight...or so we thought. We were told by the bartender when we first got there and tried to order that someone was going to come to us and take our order, so we sat and waited. Nobody came. We flagged down a busser, who told us she'd send a server. Still, nobody came. After another five minutes I got up and asked to greeter if someone was going to come take our orders...he said he'd send someone. Finally, some dude came, and he came in hot. He walked up and right off the bat had an attitude: "are you having a problem with our online ordering system?" "No, we were just told that someone was going to tske our order, and we've been hanging out for 15 minutes, waiting. Is there any guarantee that if we place an order now we'll get our drinks in time to make our boarding in 7 minutes?" "Well, he's got a bunch of drinks to make ahead of yours, so there's no guarantee." By this time we had been there for more than 15 minutes, it was almost time for us to board, so we cut our losses and left without ordering. An irritating waste of time. So, basically, if you don't feel like ordering from a QR code (one of our party had left her phone at home because we were about to travel abroad and she wasn't going to be able to use it...I guess she was out of luck!) and want to interact with a human, forget it!

Edie A.

Yelp
Decent place to stop if you have a long wait for your flight. There are outlets to charge your electronic devices by most seats. QR codes are available to order as well as to pay your bill at the high top tables. The menu is small but has a variety of options. Plenty of beverage choices are available in both alcoholic and non-alcoholic varieties. Our service was a little slow at first because there were only two servers during the noon lunch hour. I overhead that the manager sent the bartender home at 11am. We sat at the bar and just had to flag down the server whenever we needed anything. Service was friendly and when the restaurant rush died down, they didn't mind us staying to watch a football game when it became near empty. I ordered the Jalapeño Popper Chicken Sandwich (a local favorite). It was tasty and not too heavy which is good before getting on a plane! Grilled chicken breast with whipped cream cheese, crispy onions, and jalapeño jam was between an egg wash bun. There were plenty of fries in a basket for an additional $1 since the item usually comes with chips. Located at the beginning of Concourse D, it's a good option whether you are flying out of gates in the B, D or E concourse and have time to spare.

Yelp
Super fast lunch service. Delicious basil tomato soup and a fresh crisp wine. Ambiance was the airport but the staffed it fun.

Ron R.

Yelp
Known for their Black Butte Porter and Obsidian Stout, Deschutes has always been a Portland classic when it comes to local brewery favorites. Located in Concourse D, I never knew they opened up a location here at the airport. Here's a short overview: ~ Dine-in self-seating or 'on-the-go' for sandwiches/coffee/water/beer for quick check out. ~ Long bar, long tables with bar stools, and smaller tables at the end. Clean for the most part. ~ Was welcomed and asked if I need help with the menu. Forgot the gal's name, but I think it was Amanda. QR code on the tables for the menu. ~ Easy to navigate as I ordered the Elk Burger ($19.50) with Truffle Chips (+$3). ~ The burger was tasty, not juicy, but cheesy for sure! The truffle chips not too great. They weren't as crispy as I thought they'd be. Also, thought they'd be hot, but they weren't. ~ The bartender did come around and asked if I needed help. So, really no issues with service from me. I guess they read all the negative reviews. ~ My only wish was that they would've served pasta dishes like their Public House location in downtown. Other than that, I had no major complaints like other yelpers. I'll be back, especially if I have extra time and to kill.

Diana D.

Yelp
We stopped by here to grab a snack and kill some time as our flight was delayed. It's a big space, and there is plenty of seating. Don't expect fast service. When we arrived, it was fairly empty, and it took a good 10-15 minutes before we were attended too.  We ordered garlic fries and some beverages. The fries were pretty good, and the portion was huge.

Angela J.

Yelp
Fabulous bar staff! Pineapples pie mint mimosa $14.00. Food service stopped at 10 pm. Friendly people at the bar to pass the time with. Music wasn't too loud.

Ken M.

Yelp
This is a convenience beer stop while waiting for boarding time at the gates. I had a 8-ounce servings of Farmstand Fresh Mango IPA and Nitro Obsidian Stout, for $4.95 apiece. The bartender and waiter are friendly and attentive. I liked the convenience of paying with the QR code, so that I could leave promptly without having to wait for the waiter to come by. I like the window view overlooking the runway. The two screens at the bar allowed me to watch the Olympics and Little League World Series simultaneously.

Tony S.

Yelp
Stopped by for a snack and a cold brew. Not disappointed. Staff was FAST to come to me when I sat down. They know we have places to go. Lots of great choices for snacks, light meals, or something more. Plenty of local brew options (if thats your thing), but full bar is available too! I had to get the Pretzel! Soft, crunchy, chewy, delicious! How do they do that? A must-try.

Sean R.

Yelp
Usually where I end up for a beer while waiting for my flight. It's always packed but service is quick and efficient. 9.75 for a beer, but it's the airport and it's a true pint (20 oz). Had to stop myself from ordering a burger as it smelled amazing.

Rashi T.

Yelp
So I picked up lunch from here as it was right next to my gate. I got the chicken avocado sandwich , a cappuccino and a cream cheese muffin . The sandwich was as bad as it could be - it was dry , chicken was bland and had no seasoning and there was no avocado in a sandwich that literally had avocado in its name .The coffee was also pretty bad and I ended up throwing both of those . The muffin was the only thing that was alright . Its not cheap considering nothing at the airport is. Perhaps the dine-in is better because this wasn't an experience I expected from Deschutes.

John C.

Yelp
JUST COFFEE. flying out of gate next to brewery. It was 6am so only looking for coffee. There was a line for coffee. The guy working it I think was also trying to help tables. Speed was not there. Friendliness was not there. The place was interesting. The setup for coffee just ok. The coffee itself was hot and actually tasted good. It's worth it if you need to grab an early coffee.

Angie T.

Yelp
Late night flight. Wanted a glass of wine before I board. Also needed some protein for the day. Soooo impressed that they let me order the side of chicken breast they add to the Caesar Salad. I didn't have to order a full entree. Absolutely perfection! Wonderful service on a Wednesday night. Thank you!

Doug M.

Yelp
Same as another recent reviewer (Kelly H 12/6/24). The "service" here is beyond abysmal. I'm a badged airport contractor, came in to grab lunch and took a seat in plain view near the west entry aisle. Nobody came by my table for 25 MINUTES! Not even to wipe the table, let alone ask me about an order. AND THE PLACE WASN'T EVEN BUSY. Probably a little over 1/2 full. They evidently just presume everyone's using their online ordering app. For some unknown reason it didn't work on my phone. I finally went up the bar and asked why nobody bothered to check in on a customer for nearly 1/2 an hour? Their attitude seemed to be "use the mobile app or GTFO". I finally got my food and drink - it was pretty good actually. But I took the hint and GTFO - and won't be coming back. AND I'll be telling all of my PDX friends to do likewise.

Tracy D.

Yelp
Located by the D gates within PDX. Solid 3 stars. I had the breakfast burrito which is nothing to write home about, but does the trick. It was just enough for one person. It does not come with any sides. The overall flavor was bland- nothing but a little hot sauce and salsa cannot fix though. I would give the service 4 stars. The bartender was quick, friendly, and appropriately attentive. My food was served within 10 minutes of ordering.

David J.

Yelp
Food: 9/10 Service: 9/10 Ambiance: 9/10 If you are ever at the airport and don't know what place to go eat to. Do yourself a favor and go eat here! There is self seating and every table had a QR code for you to order from. This saves so much time in the case that the waiters are really busy, you can put in your order right away! The place is ver clean and the staff is very attentive to all of their customers. My recommendations are the pub burger add bacon and can't go wrong with any brew! Cheers

Lawrence G.

Yelp
The food was awful - double thumbs down on the Mac & cheese especially that was so watery it felt like a 17 month old made it and charged $17.75. Garlic fries? Big let down - whoever is the chef needs to add more cream in the Mac & cheese and garlic cheese fries, or how about actual cheese. Actually,I have never seen a more disappointing, like what did you give me face from my 17 month old ever. Terrible... I think I made better kraft Mac & cheese in my college dorm than this - and I'm talkin' microwaveable. The jalapeño popper chicken sandwich really only pops your eyes on the menu. The jalapeño glaze tasted like just that - a glaze that had zero flavor let alone spice.

Sharrun N.

Yelp
I had just the best Green Goddess Salad while waiting for a plane. I had them add chicken which was moist and tender. We ordered to go and didn't use the table service. It was ready quickly enough. I wasn't expecting much from an airport location, but my salad was really good.

Jason V.

Yelp
I don't think people who work at airport restaurants like it very much. I mean, it's got to be quite a hassle to have to check through security every day just to go to work, for a job that probably doesn't pay any better than a place "on the outside". But hey, don't take it out on us! Some of us are excited to be off somewhere fun and exotic, and it's unpleasant to have it ruined by a server with a dour, unaffected attitude. But then again, this is Portland, so I'm not sure what I expected. My wife and I thought to grab something to eat before getting on our flight, but after looking over the breakfast menu, we didn't really see anything that jumped out at us. We ordered a couple of drinks, and I snuck off to the Burgerville across the way to grab a couple of burgers, which we scarfed down at our table here without receiving any flak from the server. I guess that's something! Our drinks came from the bar pretty quick as well, although airport sticker shock is a thing, alive and well here! $30 bucks for two drinks plus tip is not the best way to start your honeymoon vacation.

Curtis T.

Yelp
Early Friday morning. Place wasn't very busy. Took our server just a couple minutes to give us menus. About 10 minutes later she came and took out food and drink order. Food arrived at the same time as our drinks. My order was wrong, but she took off before I could say anything. I waited a while and just decided to eat it. That was the last time she came to our table. No more drinks or asking if everything was ok. We finally went up to the bar and got the bartender to cash us out. Horrible waitress. Food and drinks were good though.

Kimberley M.

Yelp
Server on Sunday Night violated all ADA Rules & common decency when refusing to serve my husband who recently had Spinal Cord Injury & is a Senior Citizen, he simply had a compromised gait from his injury - Server provided mental anguish in his disgusting service, do not go here if Senior Citizen with any Handicaps

Cindy H.

Yelp
Just anted to ask the bartender if I could grab a drink to consume in the middle section of the airport where my family was sitting. He wouldn't answer my question and just barked at me that it was table service only.

Kolade B.

Yelp
I was waiting to board the plane then decided to have some spirits. This brewery was right down the alley. I ordered fries and wings and of course wine and beer. The beers was well chilled and fries were satisfactory. The fireplace was a great accent. The seating was plenty. I sat by the bar and mingled with a couple other travelers from the east coast. The visit fit the bill.

Ella S.

Yelp
One of the women who served me was extremely rude. I ordered a tequila shot, which she gladly served me. After about 20 minutes, i asked for another shot. I had had 0 interaction with her in between these encounters. She told me no, that my eyes looked glossy , and that if i didn't leave she threatened to not have me fly. She also stated she shouldn't have even served me in the first place. Which reflects poorly on her. It was my first shot of the night and her behavior was completely out of line. Will never be returning. Hop works is where it's at if you're at PDX!

A. S.

Yelp
ABSOLUTELY THE WORST F-*@KING place ever... Our server / assailant is... "Amand H." a ( fat old blonde) Let me explain my terrible experience: While placing our order, Amand spilt an insanely hot coffee on my wife. When I asked to speak with the manager, Amanda got so belligerent that without prompting a manager arrived to inquire about the nature of the disturbance...I explained to him that my wife and I order some food and some coffee. While pointing at the coffee on my wife's lap, I stated that Amanda had split a tremendously hot coffee on wife and we need to go to the restroom and PLEASE cancel the entire order.. He said, we could not leave until we had to paid for ALL the food we ordered including the spilt super hot coffee.... At this point, the kitchen hasn't even received our order yet. Amanda has only brought the coffee and scalded my wife with it. He additional stated that if we had a problem paying for the food that we had order, (which we were still waiting for)... " He would call the"Port Police" and have us arrested for theft...!!! I had to pay OVER $50.00 for a terrible injury to my wife and still received ABSOLUTELY no food.... They burnt my wife and charged me for the food which we never received. We were threatened with arrest from the Port Police if I didn't pay before rushing to the restroom.... I've never felt worse in my life!!! YOU'VE BEEN WARNED...GO AT THERE YOU OWN RISK

Jen M.

Yelp
So convenient to be able to swing in and grab a quick bite to eat or an ice cold IPA before you board your flight. Today I noticed that they now have updated QR codes on all their tables where you can not only view the menus and the bar list, but you can also place your order, open a tab, and close out your bill when you're ready to leave, all within the same browser window. Now some people might not like this, or feel it's a little impersonal. But I loved it! Especially considering that I was in a huge rush and only had 10 mins to pop in for a quick beer before I had to board my flight. This new method was so efficient, I was in and out in no time, even though the restaurant and bar were fairly well packed. Nicely done, Deschutes! Way to think outside the box by finding a way to increase table turnover rates in spite of the staffing shortages that every business is currently facing, while still managing to cater to the primary needs of your customer base at the same time. I hope this new method catches on at similar establishments as well. And in the words of Arnold, "I'll be back!"

Leiko R.

Yelp
This is a review based on service only. Upfront, the shop sells drinks, sandwiches, muffins, etc. The short guy that was working the register (he also bussed tables) is EXTREMELY RUDE. He definitely forgot that paying customers fund his salary. He has no customer service skills, at all. Zero. I witnessed him treating an elderly couple as if they were "less than" just because they had trouble with settling their bill. Instead of helping them like normal, considerate servers do, he rudely repeated himself saying, "JUST FOLLOW THE PROMPTS! YOU WANT TO LEAVE A TIP?" I was going to help them but they figured it out. I hope they left $0 tip. Then it was my turn to experience his "service." I like my coffee hot but let me tell you, their coffee was very hot. The heat passed right through the sleeve around my cup. When I told him that, he looked at me like "what am I supposed to do?" Well duh, either another sleeve or cup would help. Geez. I also ordered a to go cup of steel cut oats. I make my payment for the coffee and oats and wait. And wait. And wait. Crickets. This server does not return to the checkout counter for almost 20min. Meanwhile a line is building behind of me. Once he decides to return, he asks me if I need anything else. Ummmm well yes, I'm waiting for my oats. That's when he barks, "you need to stand on the side cause there's others behind you." Oh my goodness. Mr. Rude, we have not seen you for the past 15 minutes. Could u not see the line???? Some folks walked out and left. A gracious customer behind me told Mr. Rude that he needed to be nicer. Thank you kind gentleman. As for Mr. Rude, find a job that is not service oriented. Future customers will be happy. If you see this guy, walk to another coffee shop before you head to gates D at PDX.

Average Joe ..

Yelp
My flight has already been delayed so I am not a happy traveler. I am hoping a decent breakfast burrito can change the direction of the day. The place isn't busy and the scan to order/pay option makes the process fast and painless. Business was slow and so was the service. A snails pace. First a flight delay now a breakfast burrito delay. The burrito arrived piping hot and delicious. Maybe things are looking up. No complaints about the food that's for sure. Now let's hope the plane situation changes for the better.

Dana M.

Yelp
They greet you with "Did you order though the QR?" Didn't mind it but be aware. Fries came with the elk burger is good & price isn't ridiculous. Safe travels! https://deschutesbrewery.xdineapp.com/consumer#menu/2425/Deschutes%20Brewery/401417/Main%20Menu/items

Craig H.

Yelp
We had an hour to kill prior to our flight, this place was exactly what we needed. The pretzel with beer cheese was amazing! I had a burger and my wife had Mac and Cheese. We witnessed our waitress Stacy defuse a meltdown situation between a grumpy dude and his wife . Baby was crying and mom was frazzled. Stacy could have walked away; she stayed and helped. She was amazing!

Molly A.

Yelp
Have ordered food from here twice. Once had a breakfast burrito and once had the chicken schnitzel. Would give the burrito 4/5, but still one of the best breakfast options I've had for my morning flights out of PDX. Chicken schnitzel meal was a solid 5/5, no hesitation - def one of the best airport meals and would still be quite happy with the meal if coming from a regular restaurant. Service has been a struggle both times, as is a challenge everywhere, but the staff have always been friendly and helpful, and I've never had the service be egregious slow, or at risk of missing a flight. I can't speak for the other less positive reviews, but if I have time for a slower sit down meal at PDX would have no hesitation coming here again.

Prince Yusopov E.

Yelp
Sitting at the bar, you can ONLY order from the QR code. If you don't have connectivity, too bad. They don't care. Struggled for about 10 minutes trying to connect. No go. There's a Mexican restaurant across from Dechutes with bottled beer and food, and there's also other places near the D gates that have a full service bar. Don't try and spend your money where they don't seem to want it.

Jim W.

Yelp
We had a flight leaving before noon, and my wife was hungry. We opted to try to squeeze in a meal here. It is located on Concourse D, I think (D and E are connected). In an ideal situation, we would have allowed a bit more time for this... We got seated and were directed to their QR-code menu / ordering app. They seemed a bit short staffed, but it was probably due to general conditions + it being a Saturday late morning. However, their app didn't work - it wouldn't advance to let me actually pay for an order (and hence didn't submit it). I'm not a technophobe, so I had no issue with using the app - it just didn't appear functional... We flagged down our server and put in our order (we each got flatbreads - different types). Then we waited. I was a bit more nervous, given that boarding time was slowly approaching. Luckily, we did get our order with enough time to eat at least half of it. We got the server's attention again and paid, as well as getting a to-go box. We finished the leftovers later on our flight. The food was fine - at least a step up from a fast food burger, which wasn't even an option in our concourse. I have nothing against this place. For a non-chain bar and eatery in a major airport, it seemed fine. Just allow an hour for the whole process and you won't have to worry.

Malia M.

Yelp
Warning! Do not attempt to finish the mac and cheese by yourself. It is too rich, tastes good at first though. My sister and I both ordered now feel sick.

Happy C.

Yelp
Here for a pre flight beer. It is 12/3 at 10:30 AM. Crankster waitress. I guess it is a struggle for places to get good service these days. But Geez lady, smile.

Krissy H.

Yelp
Horrible service I sat at the bar waiting to be served two people that came after I did were served and one of the even paid before I was even acknowledged. By this time I was worried about ordering food so I just ordered a glass of wine that came in a filthy dirty glass you could feel the grime soon as he handed it to me. Bar tender was to busy talking to his friend that was on the other end of the bar while he was on face time with another friend, so much for a relaxing glass of wine

Elle O.

Yelp
The absolute only reason this place is getting a two star is because Alysa was a wonderful server. Had it not been for her this place could go all the way to hell. I get airport food isn't necessarily the best. However, I've had some great food in airports across the country. We decided on the honey jalapeño chicken sandwich. Now, in my mind I'm thinking sweet and spicy. I don't know what they were thinking. It's a jalapeño relish with NO honey and a pathetic chopped something passed off as a slaw. It's also literally two chicken fingers that resemble fish sticks on a dry bun. Disgusting!! The fries were actually good. The GM doesn't seem to be the brightest star in the sky either because I had questions when ordering on their confusing app and didn't understand what the issue is. Just because YOU understand doesn't mean the rest of us do. Even our server agreed and was thankful we said something. Skip this place. You're better to go to Burgerville.

Mark J.

Yelp
Stopped in here before my 6:45pm flight - expecting airport-level service. Unfortunately, the servers hide behind the app for ordering and the app SUCKS! Three tries and could not place my order or get an acknowledgment. Ten minutes and could not get a server to look me in the eye. I won't be back and this will adjust my frequency of visits in The Pearl. Von Ebert here we come.

Thomad J.

Yelp
Great service, great flatbreads. Tables are adjoining and near other customers. Nice view of airplane traffic.

Rosana M.

Yelp
Prices are supposed to be the same than Portland, but they definitely inflate them here. At least 4 to 5 dollars more for a cocktail. Not acceptable.

Erin K.

Yelp
Decshutes is a great stop if you find your self in PDX! Tanya M. was an amazing server with the best recommendations. Try the brussel sprouts, her Expresso martini and a green goddess salad! You can't go wrong! Service was friendly and fast and made it to my flight!

Kayla H.

Yelp
A favorite brewery of my husband and I's to visit before our flights out of PDX. Located in the D gates they never seem to be too busy so getting a table and an order is pretty fast. You can order and pay all from a QR code at the table. Typically I would appreciate more interaction with the wait staff however when you're on a time crunch prior to a flight it's very ideal! Typically we just get beers here but there food is great too! always appreciate how it's local and how they have ingredients and flavors that make it slightly different from the next brewery.

Christopher S.

Yelp
PORTLAND AIRPORT, CONCOURSE D, PORTLAND, OR 11/22/19 LUNCH +The crab roll was pretty good with three simple ingredients: mayo, onions, and celery. -The fries weren't all that great; super greasy. I will likely visit this place to try other items, if I need to eat airport food again. DM/PM me some other suggestions, if you know the low-down!

Atul S.

Yelp
Tried few days back in their original downtown location but today tried again at their Portland airport location just before flying for phoenix. Their fresh squeezed ipa is really good. Well balanced taste and gives enough kick in just one glass. Tried blue cheese burger and it was too good. Fries comes along with it which was well cut and crispy. One of the best fries you will ever have. Server was super nice and service was good. One of the best brewery to try in Portland. Just for today's experience at this airport location, i would give 5-star.

C J D.

Yelp
Great stop for some food or drink in the Portland Airport. Had a couple hazy IPAs and a pub pretzel at the bar. Bartender was cool and on top of everything. Great experience.

Diane D.

Yelp
I've been taking an early morning flight out of PDX every other week for the past 6 months. Norman has been great, excellent customer service. It's nice being able to sit at a bar that early in the morning, enjoy a couple drinks and chat with friendly servers. Some of these bad reviews are just uncalled for. Wish people would just lighten up!

Yelp
We have eaten here many times. However, like everything else in the world, the service is terrible. We sat down and no one even came clean the table or take our order. Then when we approached the server and asked - she decided to treat us like we were interrupting her and the proceed to argue with us. Needless to say that will be our last stop there and I will recommend to everyone I meet to not go to this establishment. The ambience sucks as does the service.

Yelp
What better way to end a Portland trip that having a Deschutes Brewery Restaurant at PDX right next to your departure gate (literally), having an Obsidian Stout at 6:30 in the morning? And yes, according to the brewer notes, the stout has "notes of espresso and dark chocolate with a roasty finish", so it does count as coffee in the morning right? LOL The Black Butte Porter has "notes of rich chocolate and coffee, a luscious creaminess and a roasted finish". Both of these dark brews are perfect in place of coffee in the morning. Haha The restaurant is a nice size, considering its in an airport next to the gates. Their brews are always exceptional. I didn't really have any breakfast except of toast and eggs this early in the morning. There's both table and bar seating. Bar seating has flat screen TVs. Service was awesome. What a way to start your day instead of waiting at the boring gate for your flight: a nice craft brew, light breakfast and ESPN on the television.

Yelp
If you know me than you will know that part of a travel day means Airport beers. Luckily for PDX airport they have some of the best brewery options and Deschutes is definitely a popular one. The trend for most of the spots in the airport is to have the QR code and have all the ordering and interactions through the phone. This allows you to make choices as soon as you are ready which is really convenient. Long gone is the pressure of needing to be ready when your waiter/waitress comes by. We just grabbed beer this visit and they had plenty of great options from their beer list. The beers were of good size and didn't feel vastly overpriced. The vibes are great at this spot as there are plenty of TVs to watch whatever sports game is on at that time. The staff does seem to be pretty great making sure that goes are taken care of as well!
