"Desert Five Spot is an LA transplant that feels like Nashville (the touristy parts with bachelorette parties). The barn-sized room is big and cheesy, with a wall devoted to Dolly Parton and Wild West touches like bales of hay and a wagon wheel chandelier. If you’re game to hang with a crowd wearing cowboy boots that have never touched soil, it’s a good time. Don’t think of this LA transplant as a bar. Think of it as a cavernous theme park, an entire corner of which is dedicated to Dolly Parton. "This over-the-top Williamsburg bar is a country bar the same way Back to the Future Part III is a Western. It checks all the boxes, but it’s all a bit cartoonish. Nonetheless, this place is a great time, and it gets bonus points for the mechanical bull and stage in the back where you can catch some live music. Williamsburg’s Desert 5 Spot has arrived, and in addition to a real, functioning fake bull, there are bales of hay, wagon wheel chandeliers, and a stage in the back where you can listen to live music and sit on a velour couch with a group. There’s also a gallery wall of Dolly Parton photos, which you can enjoy while you sip on a glass of ranch water. It’s cheesy, in a fun way.
