Desert Breeze

Nice bed and breakfast in Swakopmund. Friendly staff and nice view from the rooms into the dunes. Heating is through wood-fired stoves, which unfortunately gave a very penetrating smell (most likely the guests before me used that stove). Breakfast was fine. A hike from the hotel into the dunes is possible. Nice views of the sunset. During the hikes, I encountered several snake tracks. Be mindful.

The staff was really nice, they called a driver for us and Terence drove us to and from the city (please note that the lodge is far from the center). Our bungalow had stunning views of the dunes and was comfortable. The pressure and the temperature of the shower were great. The breakfast was nice. The only problem was that we were freezing cold both nights - there was no heating, just a tiny fireplace that we had to deal with. It took us forever to lighten it and the firewood wasn't enough to heat the huge room. It would have been nice to have the fire on upon arrival. In lodges like this one, it is not acceptable to be cold in your room. Also, the lodge is too far away from the center, hence 4 stars. We would have preferred a heated room near the center.

Very good hotel with few chalets near the desert. Equipments are good and staff is very friendly. The view from the chalet and breakfast room is beautiful. We have appreciate the quiet of the place not too far from the center. Easy to park big car ( with tent on the roof)

Disappointing experience. Very beautiful view on the desert, large room, good breakfast but room is too cold during winter despite fireplace (too small for large room) which employee had difficulty to make the fire , no extra blanket , wifi not working properly, amenities in bathroom were awful and too much humidity. Laundry service was good.

Desert Breeze is beautifully located oriented to the dunes with uninterrupted views. The rooms are individual buildings with solar water providing privacy and quiet. The main lodge was comfortable and breakfast was good quality. The lodge is a little out of town adding to the atmosphere but it is an easy walk in to the Main Street.

We were greeted by friendly staff eager to assist with any request or available to answer any questions we might have. The reception offers assistance with any bookings you might require for nearby restaurants or adventure activities. The room boasts with an amazing view of the desert. Desert Breeze is tranquil and conveniently located near town and popular amenities/restaurants. It offers a daily breakfast to start your day off just right before embarking on your desired activities. The room itself is spacious and tenders to your needs. The fireplace located in the room is perfect for those cozy nights while admiring the gorgeous views. Safe and covered parking for your vehicle.

Absolutely beautiful place. They were very accomodating but was really unhappy about people entering our room randomly and moving our stuff around at random hours. Apart from that the location of the place was perfect and it was really nice to be able to walk to the dunes in the mornings and evenings.

Our 4th stay at Desert Breeze in Swakopmund. We don't even look at other accommodation options. Thank you Margaret and your amazing team for always making us feel so welcome.
