Our experience was fantastic! Our waiter, Hussain, was incredibly friendly and helpful, and the other staff members were attentive and made sure we were well taken care of throughout our visit. The food was absolutely delicious, with generous portions that left us more than satisfied. One small suggestion for the chef or owner: it would be great if the garlic creamy sauce was made purely with garlic rather than mixed with mayonnaise. The owner was exceptionally kind, stopping by our table to check if everything was to our liking and ensuring we were enjoying ourselves. Before we left, we ordered some extra rice to take home, and they didn’t charge us for it, which was such a generous and thoughtful gesture. Thank you for the amazing service and for making our visit so memorable. We truly appreciated the hospitality and can’t wait to return!

My first time at a real Mediterranean restaurant like this. When you’re the only Asian in here and feeling out of place but the food makes you feel super comfortable. I have to admit the food was fire 🔥. I basically had two meals from my one entree. The pricing was really fair and good for the amount of food I got. Besides the food the service was excellent, they waiters made us feel at home and showed us what to try and order. At the end of the meal one of the waiter gave us samples of arabica coffee which was really appreciated by us. Love this establishment and the hospitality!!!!

We love going to this place . The food tastes amazing. The service and wait time can be a bit slow on weekend as it is so busy . We love the mix grill platter and Toshka. The meat is very juicy and tender. The rice that comes with the platter tastes great. Highly recommend it and this should have higher rating as it deserves more. # halal

Honestly an AMAZING experience. I was questioning the whole time how this is the first time I have been here. I am Palestinian grew up eating middle eastern food and I can certainly say I was blown away the whole time. They bake their own bread in house In front of you. The hummus is TOP tier and the kabobs are without a doubt the best iv ever had. All the meat is so tender I literally have no words man. I don’t even eat sweets but ended up finishing a Aish El Saraya myself. Truly an unforgettable experience and if you Havnt been already you are just simply missing out.

First time visiting this place. Nicely decorated inside. We ordered two appetizers, stuffed grape leaves and toshka with meat (baked pita with meat and cheese). Both were delicious! My friend also got a shrimp salad and I got a chicken shwarma wrap with fries. The chicken shwarma was a bit greasy, but delicious. I'm not sure what oil the fries were cooked in, they tasted a bit of the oil it was cooked in. My other friend got a 4 piece samosa and they were so miniature. I'll go back again and maybe share a desert moon mixed grill and get some appetizers. The service was very poor. We had to search for our servers many times to ask for things we needed.

This place deserves a higher rating ! As you can see i am a google reviewer - I go to many places to try food and this middle eastern restaurant was 10/10! The steak kabob with rice was excellent , the two different hummus were so good !!! The meat was super juicy and the spices were amazing & The pita bread was fresh and hot ! Would come back every day .

🇱🇧 LEBANON (via Eat the World Los Angeles) - No matter what the meat-eating tendencies of your companions might be, start every single meal here with the Desert Moon vegetarian sampler ($19.99, above), which gives a table of four just about everything they could ask for. Four pieces of freshly prepared falafel form a border between their excellent hummus and some of the best baba ghanouj you will have so far away from the Levant. A good portion of feta cheese also comes with this plate, and some grape leaves that will make everyone wonder if they have had better. If there was a Southern California competition, these would be at least amongst the medals. Along with the basket of puffy pitas that come with any meal and arrive still warm from baking, satisfaction has already been achieved well before any entrees are near the table.

Delicious food, great atmosphere, & amazing wait staff! We got the samosa, lamb shawarma platter, & chicken shawarma platter. The portions were huge! We had leftovers to take home and will definitely be returning for more! (LGBTQIA Friendly)

STOP SCROLLING AND GO - NOW! Oh wow!! This was on my list of places to try and I'm sooooo glad I finally did. From the moment you enter, warmly welcomed and seated, the experience begins. Starting with a beautiful environment that's so pleasing to look at. The booths are incredibly comfortable - perfect for enjoying your forthcoming gastronomic experience. We had two the exceptional pleasure of having Samir graciously attend to us. (We'd go back just to see him.) With this being our first time, we placed our trust in his knowledgeable hands - and were DELIGHTED!!!! We had the appetizer sampler and house combo. Each bite was delicious. Fresh and hot: The lamb kebab and beef/lamb kebab was truly exceptional. I'm so-so about lamb as it can be "gamey", but it was sublime. We ended with the most incredible Arabic coffee (I'm ordering more next time!) and perfect dessert topped with crushed pistachios on what looked and tasted like panna cotta. Just the right blend of sweetness and cream. Throughout our meal Samir was there - attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. It's not often you have the owner so passionate and caring about their guests. He was the icing on the cake. Next time I'll have to remember to take some pictures before devouring every delicious bite.

Desert Moon Grill definitely serves up delicious Mediterranean food! We tried a plethora of different foods including Taboulah, Falafel, Hummus, Pita, and Desert Moon Mix. The Taboulah was delicious and the favor was very refreshing. The hummus and pita combo was tasty. The thickness of the pita bread was fluffy and puffy. The Falafel was also crispy and delicious. The piece de resistance was the desert moon mix. With its beef, lamb, and chicken mix. It certainly hits the spot. Having both kinds of flavored rice was also delicious. The decor and service were also great as it definitely felt authentic. If you like Mediterranean, you can't go wrong here!

Great food, nice ambience, service was also fine. Come here for the Kabsa which they make on Saturdays! Chicken Kabsa: chicken is soft and goes perfectly with the rice. The rice was the highlight and there is plenty if you want to share this along with an app amongst 3-4 people. I suggest adding more meat. App platter: really good, but the baba ghanoush and hummus were the highlights. Comes with dolma and feta as well, which I would request to substitute next time. The pita was a nice accompaniment. Service/ambience: nice family setting and they have many booths. Service was fine as well. Parking: plenty in the same lot.

My husband went here to have lunch with his dad and he ordered me a meal to go because he said "you've got to try this food, it's amazing" and it sure was! I had the beef koobideh, it was sooo delicious and the rice is extremely taste. We also had the humus which was so smooth and full of flavor. I definitely want to come back here and try other foods!

Came here for dinner with coworkers and wow everything we ordered was so delicious. We got the large mixed meat platter to share amongst 6 people and all the meats were cooked to perfection. We didn't finish all the food, but we were excited to relive this meal through leftovers. Service was quick and the waiters offered us samples of their coffee. The interior was nice and spacious and felt cozy at the same time. The food was soo yummy - I will definitely be back for more!

We tried Mansaf (Friday Special) for the first time today, and it was delicious! And as always, the service was amazing! Shoutout to Nooreldeen (sorry if I spelled the name wrong) and Mustafa. Thank you for the complimentary dessert, it was unexpected!

Love the ambiance there. They also don't serve alcohol if you're wondering. We got the Muthawama, garlic dip= very garlicy but so good!! Amazing with the hot pita bread! We got the Desert Moon Mixed Grill and chose the hummus as the side. The hummus is huge! The platter itself is huge too! So so good! We got the Mixed chicken and meat shawerma, it came out super late.. so barely touched it since I had the pita bread with the other entree. But it was good and had a hint of curry. The service was quick. This place is yummy

We had an amazing experience at Desert Moon Mediterranean Restaurant in Anaheim! The Chicken Kabob Plate was perfectly grilled, tender, and full of flavor. The Falafel Platter was crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and paired wonderfully with the sauces. To top it off, the Lemon Mint Tea was refreshing and the perfect complement to the meal. Everything was fresh, delicious, and well-seasoned. This place is a must-try, and we're definitely coming back! Great service.

We visited Dessert Moon Grill in Anaheim, a Middle Eastern restaurant. For drinks, we had Lemon Mint, which was refreshing. We started with Fried Kibbeh crispy bulgur wheat shells stuffed with beef, garlic, pine nuts, and spices. For the main course, we got three skewers of mesquite-grilled kabobs (chicken, lamb and beef) along with hummus and baba ganoush, fresh bread, and grilled veggies. Finally, we had rice pudding with cream topped on it so delicious! A meal isn't complete without dessert. We had a great time enjoying the food and atmosphere was so amazing.

Great! Just great! The place was exactly what I was looking for. They sat me down pretty fast, the waiters were great. The food was so tasty. We ordered the dessert moon kabob mix and it was perfect for two to share. Definitely returning to this place.

I've come to this place at least 15 times by now. When someone visits from out of town or out of the country you bet I'm bringing them here! Great service and authentic food, with incredibly fluffy freshly baked pita. Many families come it can get a little loud in there but it's the good loud! If it's your birthday let them know for a special surprise.

The very first time I ate at this exquisite establishment was a couple years ago, before pandemic. I remember the portions being HUGE, if you order individual plates. I remember the food being tasty but it didn't leave a lasting impression on me back then. A couple years or so later, I got to eat here again, with family in town. My favorite food is kebabs, which will be my last meal on this dunya. We were a large group, 9 total. To awaken our senses we started off with lots & lots of pita bread. Then we also munched on spicy potato pea samosas which had an awesome crunch ! FYI, if you can't tolerate spice/heat, do not order samosas as they are spicy ! We also had toshka with chicken which is something I've never had before, which was basically baked pita bread with awesomeness chicken inside. Either schwarma or tawook seasoning, it was delicious !! We did the main course family style with the large family platter. At first glance I was worried that there wasn't going to be enough food. I am greedy when it comes to kebabs. I was wrong ! There was plenty of leftovers, since the portions are quite generous. The rice was sooo tasty, had amazing flavor & not at all plain, went perfect with all the meats. My favorite was by far the chicken, OMG i about died the first bite !! So so juicy & flavorful !!!! I am typically not a beef kebab person, but this one was also just sooo good. I cannot wait until next time I'm here !!

The food is tasty, the place is nice, but I don't like the service. We ordered food for 7 people, and the food for 4 was on the table, but 3 others were just looking at us. We almost finished when their food arrived. And at that point we had to wait for them to finish. That was disappointing.

I've been here quite a few times already and I honestly love it! I typically only come on the weekends, so not sure how much different the service is on the weekdays, but each time I've been here the service was superb. The waiters are all super nice and come by often enough to check in with how you are doing and and if you are enjoying the food. I went this past holiday, and I feel the service really went above and beyond. Right after we ordered, the manager came by our table and also notifiesd us about a special (the lamb shank) that is only made on Sundays, but because it was a holiday they also made the dish and asked if we would also like to get it. Of course we had to get it as it was being recommended. And it did not disappoint! When our food came out, the manager came back out and also let us know about the dishes. Letting us know about the different types of rices (as there were 4 different types). I would definitely say we ened up taking quite a bit of leftovers homes as the portions are massive. Not sure if my pictures do the dishes justice, but everything looked and was amazing. We got the hummus and pita bread, lamb shank, and the meat shawarma. The lamb shank was absolutely delicious. I might even make Sundays my new days just so I can get it again. The lamb shank was fall off the bone tender. It wasn't gamey and was also very juicy. It also came with a yogurt dip, and it was very refreshing. The meat shawarma was also very good, a very solid choice. I would definitely say to eat it right away as it will become a bit dry if you let it sit too long. I would say all of the rice served were full of flavor and do well to balance out the meats. I would definitely come again. The service is wonderful and the food is even better!

I wish I took a picture of the amount of food we purchased. Everyone here is so so kind. The food was delicious as well. My party was over 20+ and they made us feel so welcomed. The food was hot and very well seasoned. I liked the ambiance inside. Took me back to home haha. I would definitely come again :)

This was my second visit, and the experience was mixed. I ordered the chicken breast kabob, which was well-cooked and flavorful. However, I chose the salad instead of rice, and it was a big disappointment. The dressing, which should typically feature fresh olive oil and lemon juice in a Mediterranean salad, tasted like it was made with rancid oil, completely ruining the dish. Looking back on my first visit, I remember ordering the hummus and noticing it lacked the usual drizzle of olive oil on top. It makes me question whether the restaurant uses olive oil at all. For a place with otherwise good food, they really need to use proper olive oil--it's a small change that would make a big difference.

Overall, an amazing halal place for all your celebrations and large dinners. I made a reservation here over the phone for a large party for a graduation dinner and they really went above and beyond with the service! Shoutout to Mustafa and the owner for being so attentive!! Food: very good! We ordered the giant Desert Moon Mixed Grill sampler platter and all meats and rice were cooked well and seasoned nicely. Loved the toasted almonds! I also highly recommend the toshka this was a crowd pleaser. Also make sure to get the mint lemonade. Their pitas here are so fluffy and come out very hot and fresh, all side dips were great too. Service: exceptional , Mustafa made sure everyone got what they needed and the owner kept checking on us too. They even sang for the graduation and played special music in the restaurant and provided a dessert on the house. Additionally they were kind enough to place a cake we brought in the fridge while we ate. Ambiance: Cozy restaurant, got a little tight with our party but overall great spot for family dinners. The restaurant is decorated with traditional decor Overall, I will be back again! We had so much fun at dinner -- it made the long drive worth it!

We came for dinner and split a small tabbouleh and the desert moon mixed grill. I thought the pita bread they brought out was amazing, makes it hard to go to other places now. Tabbouleh was good and the mixed grill was bomb too. I liked the red rice a little more than the yellow rice, the shish kabab was great, the kufta was very flavorful, and the chicken was juicy. Portion was huge and I would definitely come back.

You can get a large mixed meat platter and it has a variety of meats including lamb and comes with hummus, garlic sauce, yogurt sauce, pita bread, salads and rice. We were 6 people and it was more than enough

Little Arabia! Hospitality at its best! Breakfast to dinner they have everything! Bread & hummus is the best in OC! Fries always double fried and done right! Chicken wrap is priced well & my pick every time when I am not having dinner or to go! Definitely recommend! They serve with a smile!

TWO WORDS: chicken toshka. This is the main reason why I always come back to Desert Moon Grill! They're up there with my favorites along with Aleppo's because the food is just so flavorful and filling, but their toshkas here are bar-none. It's my favorite middle eastern dish by far, and the way they make it exceeds any other place I've had. I absolutely love the food here, but have to shout out the toshkas specifically! We'd come here more if their takeout ordering system was digitized rather than having to call ahead, but it's still such a good place to stop in Little Arabia. The whole parking lot is great since there's also an Arabic bakery next door. The staff is always accommodating and the food is made fresh yet quickly. We love the Palestinian-owned Desert Moon Grill and will continue to support their amazing cuisine!

This used to be our go-to spot for family dinners, and we've been loyal customers for years. Unfortunately, we won't be returning for several reasons. The service has declined significantly over time--orders are often incorrect, and it takes multiple requests to get something right. The food portions are now laughable; they've been cut in half while the prices remain the same. For instance, they charge the same for chicken and lamb, which makes no sense since chicken is far cheaper. The Kabsa plate used to come with two lamb pieces served on a large plate, but now it's just one piece on a much smaller plate. On top of that, they charge $1.50 for each grape leaf, which isn't even handmade--it's straight out of a can. To make matters worse, the manager is arrogant and unprofessional, despite having no reason to be. With service and quality like this, it's safe to say we'll be taking our business elsewhere.

Very friendly staff, comfortable atmosphere and best of all was the delicious food. I had the desert moon mixed grill, spiced up kebob meats with 2 types of rice and baba gonoush/ hummus to dip your fresh baked naan into. Spicy and flavorful. Large portion. Uncle requested something tender and they had lambshank on special. Came on a large platter of rice with ground lamb a bowl of tziziki and an aromatic fall off the bone lambshank that he enjoyed very much. Large portions. Will be back.

Authentic and delicious great customer service and great ambient plenty of parking delicious food every day plus they also have their specials that they only serve once in a while. Make sure you call and find out.

The kofta was garbage and the chicken wasn't that good either. The only thing that tasted good was the lamb. Also they charge a 16% service charge on groups of 5 or more, which I believe is stupid especially if you had bad service.

If you're thinking about going here to eat; STOP THINKING it's soooooooo good you will love the food and the staff the service is amazing and the decor of the restaurant is really nice. The prices are really good too for the portions, it's huge and they bake their own bread it's really good. Give them a try and you will love it

We keep seeing this restaurant for the last 4 years. We finally tried it and OMG.. it's better than Raffi's Palce in Glendale. It's one of the best authentic Mediterranean food I have ever had. I tired their special- Lamb Shanks and it was heaven especially the rice. The mixed seafood grill was heavenly- salmon and fish were so soft and shrimp was cooked perfect. We also tried one di their dessert- frozen milk with Rose water and ground pistachios and honey- I think it's called Aisha Elsaraya.- Mediterranean version of Majablanca without the corn . Thai is my new favorite Mediterranean Restaurant

Been eating here for years. However recently they turned it up. The filet mignon is we always get the 15 skewer mixed platter and upgrade the lamb to the filet mignon. Add some aysh saraya for dessert Pot of black tea and mint. If it's your first time just order this.

My girlfriend and I have been wanting to try food in little Arabia for awhile and found this place online so we decided to try it. The staff was super friendly and patient. Our server recommended the chicken special, I don't remember the name. The portions are huge. The qualities great. I'm used to having parts of the chicken be dry when eating a whole chicken, but the whole thing was moist & tender. The dish was well seasoned, perfectly spiced. The contrast of the savory & spicy chicken and rice with the yogurt and mint, cucumber was perfect. I really loved dining here and can't wait to try it again. It's worth mentioning that the portions are enormous. We shared one dish between 2 people and had enough food for another meal for 2 the following day

The ambiance is great . Servers were awesome . And the food is so delicious . We felt like we were back in the Middle East . Me and my husband worked in Dubai before . From the food , portion , and even sweets , it's all great food . The waiters were so friendly and courteous. If we will visit Anaheim , I will definitely be back in here .

Used to love coming and ordering here. We ordered take out and made us wait 10 minutes when the order said it was ready via Yelp. When we left they called us saying we had the wrong order and asked us to come back. We drove back for them to say a half-assed sorry after wasting 30 minutes of our time. I'm not coming back here.

This was a pretty awesome place. I find Mediterranean and middle eastern restaurants to be really hit or miss...but I guess since the generally don't serve alcohol they need to get the spices on point (hint: byoliquor, unless u don't drink, but drinking is fun, so start). Anyway, the atmosphere is chill, relaxed and pretty quiet given how popular it seems to be. The staff was friendly and the food came out pretty quickly. Nothing was overly greasy, the meat was quality and everything seemed fresh. I tried the 3 dishes listed below...ill break em down for u son!! Chicken Shawarma: I got the plate, but you can get it in a wrap. Anyway, they gave huge portions, meat was flavored well and cooked really nicely. Also, their rice was the. sh!t!! The plate had two different types, both very good. Toshka with Chicken: Never had this dish before anywhere. It's really good, grilled not greasy or fried and essentially like a middle eastern quesadilla. Syrian cheese, chicken, and some awesome spices. Beef Kibbeh (Kebeh...spell check): Now this was my surprise favorite. The outside is bulgar wheat and mince meat, the inside is ground beef, pine nuts, some onions and spices. Not greasy, didn't need any dipping sauce, just amazing!! The food I tried from other people were very good as well. In particular the filet mignon kabobs...the kabobs have a great char flavor!! Def check this place out, my reservations though it does get packed

Great service, lovely traditional ambiance with their cultural music and what an amazing variety of traditional food. It felt like you are enjoying a lovely home cooked food back home. Came over the weekend to taste the Saturday special Kabsa and Sunday's special. Now, will try Friday to taste my Mansaf

Ordered the mixed grill family platter for a party of 5 (to go). There was plenty of leftover for maybe 4 more portions. I had ordered tabouleh as a substitute, but it was forgotten in my order. They kindly let me pick it up the next day. Food was good and all the garlic sauces, hummus, baba ghanoush were good. I wish they included more grilled onions and tomatoes as there definitely wasn't enough for the entire party.
