An amazing place to have similar to authentic food. Very clean and tidy comfortable sitting beautiful interior. BYOB is the a great thing as well all they ask is not to bring your mixers. Great recommendations from staff as well. A must visit.

I visited this restaurant for lunch with my family, I have been here a number of times and usually just as it is opening for lunch. It slowly becomes busier during service and by the time I leave it is a third full. The restaurant front is a little dated and needs updating but nothing major, it is in a small parade of shops across the road from Wickes. You can park on the side road or the Wicked car park but for a limited time. The restaurant is large with plenty of seating and enough space so you don’t feel closed in. The food is Indian cuisine and mainly in the Punjabi style, the fish pakoras and delicious by the way! Portions are large and food is usually very tasty, on one occasion the food didn’t taste as good as previous visits which I assume was because there was a different cook covering service. The food overall is lovely but the price could be a couple of pounds less in my opinion. I often end up having to take home half my meal lol, the lamb jalfrezi is excellent and very very spicy, naans, paratha, biryani’s and saag are some of my favourites. The toilets are clean but not big, there is a disabled toilet for anyone wondering. The service is good and friendly but sometimes i feel that they could use one more member of staff to take the pressure off. Overall I would recommend Desi Tadka and as I said I have visited it on numerous occasions. Quickly called this place to check if it was open on Sunday late afternoon and I had to reserve table. The person who answered the call said it was open and I did not have to book a table. There is a lot of parking around so one thing not to worry about. It looks like small front, but it has good seating inside even for bigger groups. Now for the side- there is plenty to choose from- being a vegetarian I really struggle to find enough choice. But Dal Tadka's menu was at a different level. You actually need to make a difficult call on what to eat and what to save for next time- that is the how the list is. Have seen previous reviews which were super helpful and went with some of those options. Food can be customised to your spice threshold, and super quick service. Nice portions and good value for money- what else can you ask. Both Senior and Junior Lucky- who manage the restaurant floor- ensured exceptional service. Had a very brief opportunity to meet the chef- to whom I thanked about the delicious food we had. Definitely going back to this place on my next trip to this area.

Really nice food, great seating area and good opening times. You do have to buy water, service can be little slow and can get very noisy. All the staff are very nice!

Great place, if you want authentic punjabi cuisine this is your place. Very tasty food 😋. You can bring your own alcohol too.

poor packaging ,, not tasty not worth it

Was literally charged 8 pounds for frozen food bought from another grocery store. I had ordered sarso ka saag n makki ki roti, and later I saw the same saag n roti at a grocery store for much cheaper price.

This place is an absolute secret spot. The restaurant was brilliant because of the authentic Indian food!

This place is a true find and amazingly it isnt listed with a review on tripadvisor! Maybe its because those who go want to keep this wonderful place for genuinely well made Indian (punjabi) food a secret. The food I had here is better than you might find if you paid £50 a head elsewhere, no jokes. I recommend the fresh, sizzling sheesh kebabs here and the chicken tikka starters, they are succulent and sublime and will set the tone for the rest of your meal. Go in the evenings and you are entertained with a dance in traditional punjabi style from the waiters. the only negative point is that it is a noisy place. BUT Excellent, highly recommended.
