"You probably know Desnudo Coffee as the tiny trailer in East Austin with a line that always snakes through the lot. They recently opened a second location Downtown at the Fareground food hall—right across from Y Comida (see below). Expect the same menu of excellent seasonal lattes, coffees, and teas, now with one more access point. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Team Infatuation

Austin Coffee Truck Desnudo Opens in Downtown Austin - Eater Austin

"Mega-mega-popular Austin micro-roastery and coffee truck Desnudo Coffee is expanding with a second location this summer. The new trailer will be found in downtown Austin in front of food hall Fareground’s street-level restaurant Y Comida at Ellis at 111 Congress Avenue starting on Thursday, August 22. At the new trailer, expect Desnudo’s thoughtful espresso, espresso drinks, and hella fun lattes. The latter includes the signature brown sugar miso, along with the shoyu butterscotch and the white vanilla miso. Typically, there are more seasonal weekend lattes too, such as the Boggy Berry or the Lili Peach. Co-owners and brothers Sergio Trujillo and Juan Trujillo started Desnudo in 2021, where they work directly with micro-lot coffee farms in Colombia, emphasizing education and sustainable practices to create packaged coffee beans. The name reflects that philosophy — Spanish for “naked.” Per the brothers via email: “It represents the constant search for the best products in its pure, naked form,” which applies to the actual ingredients as well as the farmers and families growing everything. The Trujillos opened Desnudo’s coffee truck in April 2022 in the same East Austin lot as Veracruz All Natural. The truck’s drink creations have become so popular that there are often lines during weekends. Desnudo’s downtown truck is pegged as a temporary location for now. It’ll run through the end of December, much like Fareground’s other new temporary restaurant the Ellis space, Y Comida (which is opening on Friday, August 23). The brothers write that they are “testing” the location and if the trailer works for them and for Fareground and that everyone is “happy at the end of the year, we can extend the lease.” Desnudo’s downtown hours are from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday, and then from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday." - Nadia Chaudhury

We loved Desnudo Coffee! We visited Austin from the UK and saw some positive reviews online and thought we must try, and they did not disappoint!! We got the brown sugar Miso Iced Latte every day we were in Austin. The staff are extremely friendly and make you feel at home! I would definitely recommend trying Desnudo when visiting Austin!

Wow!! First time here and the coffee was divine. We got both the brown sugar miso and shoyu butterscotch. If I only could choose one I’d pick the shoyu butterscotch but both were amazing. It was not too sweet, the flavors did not mask the delicious espresso but rather enhanced it. Absolutely recommend this location if you want to enjoy the seating under the giant oak tree decked out with lights.

I had the best experience here. The team are so friendly, helpful and fun. I’m from out of town and was so excited to try their coffee but couldn’t decide and they surprise we with a 2nd drink so I could get the full experience. It seems like a small gesture but it speaks volumes. While I sat there waiting for my coffees it was apparent by every interaction that they create real connections with each person they speak with and to top it all off the coffee was amazing!!! I had the iced Dirty Chai with oatmilk and a Brown Sugar Miso! It was seriously delicious 👏👏👏

Absolutely delicious coffee! But what else can you expect from beans that are directly sourced from small farms in Colombia? Tried their brown sugar miso latte + dirty chai and they were both must tries with their chai being made fresh in-house, as well as their brown sugar miso syrup. Excellent service, excellent coffee & excellent playlist too! Pro-tip: get some tacos from the lil stand by the shop while you wait in line, you won’t regret it.

Amazing Coffee!! Everything on their menu is top notch. Heartfelt nice people. They will make real conversation to understand your liking and provide recommendations. I have tried all the speciality lattes and all of them are just as good and very distinct unique flavor profiles. I have also tried their chocolate chip cookies which are so good and worth the calories!!! I would highly recommend this place!

Incredible, amazing and creative drinks. Can’t believe they are now in downtown Austin. The people here are so passionate about their coffee and you can tell in the taste of their drinks. Fantastic experience and a great addition :)

So hyped to try this new coffee truck, unfortunately I have to give 2 star for the coffee! Got the brown sugar signature drink with oat milk. The drink was mediocre, it’s less sweet which I don’t mind. The taste just ain’t it. I also don’t get the crowd. They really have great location, however the drink was not to my liking especially with the price tag $7 + tips. And then, you get this small cup. That size would be less than medium at any regular coffee shop. I was hoping to get the money’s worth size or taste wise, and I got neither. Sadly. I guess for the location, this corner is right in front of a famous hotel chain, also around office buildings. I am sure rent is not cheap, well I don’t know. I do though, love the seating areas, many people brought their pets and just kinda hang around-typical Fareground. There is a taco stand right beside it. Nice touch. great service, cashier got great personality I gave him that. they got me tipping well for a fast service! lol. They gave a little sample of the coffee - acidic taste. If you are not typical coffee drinker or prefer less acidic coffee, I guess this place is not for you! Overall, it was a nice little cute coffee corner if you are around. Just not recommended if you are out of your way to buy their coffees. Judge for yourself and come try it!

Besides their great coffee they are very careful taking the details of every order with “let us know if it is not to your expectations”. Did I mention they located in a lovely garden with outdoor seating?
