My family and I came here after coincidentally running into Clement on the road. It was delicious; We ordered a hot caramel latte to go with our desserts and according to my wife, it was unlike any other. We recently had a party and catered the mini desserts as well as the mushroom, raspberry, and pear. Everyone there had nothing but great things to say about the sweets. The process of getting the desserts was very easy, thanks to Clement’s wonderful communication. Overall you will definitely visit this place multiple times after your first, hands down.

Google
This visit wasn't by my own decision, but rather a recommendation by my wife who took me there. It was hyped as a really unique desert spot and she wanted to try it. She ordered everything and had a variety of options to try. I really liked the chocolate mushroom shaped dessert and the raspberry cheesecake was pretty good too. I had a cinnamon roll croissant it was ok a little dry nothing special. The "Dubai" chocolate strawberry cup really wasn't my thing, but it was actually pretty good. Overall it's not my kind of dessert place, but if you are looking to venture out dessert wise give it a try.

Came here at 11 AM on a Wednesday. There were plenty of available parking spots at that time. I pre-ordered the items I wanted through yelp for pick up. I ordered the mushroom, the pear, the mango cheesecake, and the sweet box. When we arrived, there was no line and only 1 person ahead of me. My order was ready and nicely packaged. With all the hype I was seeing on social media, I had very high expectations. Everything looked too pretty to eat. The mushroom was very sweet and could only eat a bite of it. Same thing with pear. It was very sweet. The mango was my favorite. Would I order these again? Probably not. They were too sweet for my taste. My mom loved them all though and her opinion matters more than mine. But I will definitely come back to try the pastries.

Finally got to try this place out after all the tiktoks. The pear and mango were good but it's clear the mango is their shining star. We ate it frozen and it tasted like ice cream. The pear was amazing too but the cookie/biscuit that's sitting underneath it is seriously disappointing. It's dry, chunky, and bland. If they replace that with something else that tasted better I'd give it 5 stars. I also tried the $3 macaroon. They're nothing to write home about and the filling is a bit skimped out on. I have seen a purchased slightly bigger macaroons for $2.50 so it's something to consider if stopping by here for that.

Google
Items I tried: - The Mushroom (favorite one, it was sooo good) - The Tiramisu (loved it) - The Raspberry (wasn't my favorite) - Mango Cheesecake (delicious) - Almond Croissant (very good too) - Chai Latte (did not really like) The place itself is so cute, I love the decoration. I'm glad there is some parking spots outside, a bathroom inside and even outdoor sitting. I'm definitely coming back for that mushroom.

Google
Nice and comfy interior. It's small, so if there's a line, it's a lil uncomfy. The mushroom and the blackberry are my favorites so far. I was wary of the lavender flavor in the blackberry, but it was so yummy and refreshing. As for the mushroom, it's just such an indulgent mixture of chocolates, and I love good chocolate. If you're looking for a nice, safe choice--just right--then the mango is the way to go. Finally, the raspberry was my least favorite. It was just a tad too tangy for me, unfortunately. Overall, I'd love to come back again to try some of the breads and other options. However, I will say that parking is a real pain, especially if you have to reverse out.

I recently visited this café and had such a wonderful experience! The place has a beautiful and cozy atmosphere, with a very well-thought-out design that makes you feel instantly relaxed. The coffee was really good — you can tell they care about quality — and they also had a gorgeous dessert that was absolutely delicious. We truly enjoyed every moment there and would definitely love to come back. Highly recommend it!

Google
Delightful blackberry dessert! I love lavender sweets SO much, that I have been researching how to make them on my own for a while now. Unfortunately, however, I am domestically challenged... This particular blackberry treat at Clement's has the most delectable fluffy, light and creamy (need I say "dreamy?") lavender mousse, and I wish I could learn to make it. It was less a yummy dessert and more an experience, each spoonful like being gently kissed by a fairy. The entire dessert -- with all it's flavors (but particularly the lavender mousse) -- is a beautifully blended botanical escape into another world. Back to Texas for me, alas! Perhaps one day I'll return to San Diego and the magnificence that is Desserts by Clement.

Yelp
I recently went to Desserts by Clément and tried their pistachio roll. Wow, what a treat! From the first bite, I was hooked!! The pistachio filling was rich and flavorful. It had a perfect balance of textures! Delicious! The staff were so nice and friendly! I will definitely be coming back for more of their delightful pastries. If you're a fan of pistachio, you must try!! Clément is the best and most talented chef in town !

Yelp
Went again today with a friend this time! I'm French and this is well done! Really good and fresh!! Even the americano was great lol totally recommend, it's nice and we felt welcome every time, the seating outside with PB weather was a plus! And had time talking with the Chef today, thank you Chef for your time! Next time I'll try the savory crêpes bretonne!!

Laura G.

Yelp
Such a great place. Everything was impeccable, the atmosphere is amazing and the service was excellent. I got 2 desserts and it was a chef's kiss.

Yelp
Hands down my favorite and best French patisserie in San Diego (and as a French person, I can tell you it's the real deal). I ordered both special order, as well as dropped by the bakery and both were amazing! The bakery is very cute and has plenty of seating if you want to enjoy your pastries there. The staff is very nice and friendly as well, so if you're hesitating because everything looks so good, they'll be able to advise! The quality of the ingredients is exceptional and it's highly reflected in how the pastries taste. I've had the chance to try their croissant, pain au chocolat, pistachio pain suisse, sweet box, Nutella roll, and a special order for a beautiful lemon meringue tart (so delicious)! Will definitely come back and cater for any special events I might have

Yelp
very easy to rate this one, for me it s the best croissant in town and i can tell you that I tried almost all the bakeries of san diego over the last 15 years. Croissants 5 stars Cappuccino 5 stars Atmosphere 5 stars Staff 5 stars highly highly recommend. I have also tried their desserts, i tried the 6 dessert combo thing, it s very very good.

Yelp
Another great experience! The workers at the front were really friendly as my boyfriend and I decided on what we wanted to try this time - there are just so many good options! This time I chose the pistachio roll which was still crisp on the outside and at the same time perfectly moist and packed with the pistachio filling on the on-site. There was plenty of seating inside but we opted to take it to-go and eat at home... we made it about a block before my curiosity got the best of me and we opened up the box and devoured it. My boyfriend was raving about how good it was and our only regret was not getting two!!
google avatar

Yelp
Highly recommend this place. Not only was the lady working so sweet and helpful, but the vibe was so cute too! The food was delicious! They even torched the marshmallow fluff on to of the s'mores croissant! Lastly, I feel like you can really judge a place off their bathroom and this one was pristine

Yelp
The place is really cute inside. It's spacious with multiple tables available (1 table that seats 6, 2 tables that seat 4, 1 table that seats 3, two cushioned hanging chairs, and wall seating. The lighting is bright with an inviting atmosphere. They have a bathroom as well. It's very clean and spacious. The pastry area is very clean and organized. The pastries are all roughly the same size. Some varies in color. The woman working is kind and kept up with cleanliness. The payment is a good lengths away from the pastries. But she put on gloves while handling the food and removed them for the payment. Now onto the pastries. They are a whopping $9 for the filled croissant with half dip coating and decoration. Compared to another French patisserie (Parisien Gourmandises) which is also pricey at $7.50 -- this expensive croissant falls short of taste and quality. The almond croissant was also surprisingly expensive at $6.50 I got the Violet Croissant which is filled with a violet lavender mousse with blackberry jelly. The jam was tart and delicious. I could really smell the lavender. The cream inside this croissant was packed to the brim, making the croissant really heavy and dense. The cream tasted super off! After a bite or two, I had to literally scrape my croissant clean of that cream. My mom mentioned it tasted a bit savory or eggy. I'm so disappointed because I was really looking forward to trying this place. 1/5. My mom got the almond croissant. A classic. It tasted like it was baked twice? It was a bit hard, not airy. It had lots of almond which was nice. We ate it the next day and it was more soft! I honestly don't think I'll be coming back here very often, as cute as the place was. The quality and taste was just not up to par as what I would have expected from a French Patisserie. My friend recommended me this place and she really enjoyed the violet croissant, therefore I believe it could have been an off day here. Perhaps we ordered the wrong thing for US, maybe something else would have been better like that salted caramel one or the Swiss pastry.

Yelp
Everything we ate here was extra delicious! Not too sweet, with a great inside atmosphere, the service was super friendly. I highly recommend to try their sweet box so you can try multiple desserts. Their breakfast croissants are top notch!

Yelp
What an amazing pastry shop! And to top it off, Chef Clément himself came out to explain all of the beautiful creations. This was a case of wanting to try everything, but we had to choose only a few and save others for our next visit. Not just beautiful, but so tasty and not too sweet. So many unique flavors. Like a kid in a candy (pastry) store. The shop is spotless and modern. Everything is impressive. We are lucky to have such a place in San Diego. Lucky to have Chef Clémont.

Yelp
Clément certainly makes some beautiful and delicious desserts, but they they also make some pretty good le sandwich as well. I had the Garden on a butter croissant, which came with prosciutto, brie, arugula, and delicious fig jam. Oh yes, I also had a cortado with whole milk. First of all, the cortado was very good. It could have used a little more milk, but it was well made. The Garden Croissant sandwich was very nice, but I have to admit if they would have warmed up the croissant with the brie and prosciutto before putting on the jam and arugula, it would have been just grand. The prosciutto and and brie, although very delicious and fresh, were just too cold in the sandwich. I look forward to returning because there are a lot of items I would like to try, especially some of the specialty croissants and desserts. Service was very nice and they offer very comfortable seating inside.

Yelp
I absolutely loved this place. It was above my expectations. It was a bit pricier than what I normally spend on desserts, but the desserts I got were absolutely worth it. The two I absolutely loved were the Nutella roll and the Chocolove. The filling inside on both were to die for. The roll was flaky and the filling was so creamy. The chocolove, the outwe mousse was a dark chocolate but then the filling is sweeter, so that balance was perfect. I cannot wait to go back!!

Yelp
Came here for dessert after spending some time at Kate Sessions. I ordered the Sweet Lady and an Iced Vanilla Latte. This place is sooo cute! The staff were really friendly and didn't rush us at all (they were closing within the hour). The dessert itself wasn't too sweet, and it was so soft and delicious! The latte was also a perfect balance. Not too sweet but not too strong either! Love the vibes and ambiance here, would definitely come again!

Yelp
Came here on a Saturday around 10am. There were still seats available and plenty of parking still in the small lot and street. However, I feel that if we came any later, parking would have been nightmarish. As soon as you walk in you see some really pretty modern interior and a case full of pastries. There's plenty of seating available though I can see it filling up quickly. There was still some seats open when we came. We ordered a mango cheesecake, a rolled croissant, and another filled croissant. Honestly the mango cheesecake was not special. I couldn't really taste any flavor it. However, the croissants were honestly the best I've ever had. I typically visit another filled croissant place, but Desserts by Clément outbeats their croissant by quite a bit, croissants stayed fresh and the fillings were all super flavorful and well thought out. They also do add quite a bit of filling. I will also say that I wished the packaging was better. They put the filled croissants in a plain paper bag. Nothing on the bottom of the bag either to hold the bottom. Just a plain white paper bag. The whole time driving home I was concerned that something would melt or maybe there would be a hole in the croissant that would leak filling onto my car. Thankfully it did not, but I would have at least expected a bottom layer of the bag for the price point. Overall, definitely a place to visit in Pacific Beach! They have parking too!

Yelp
This is a must try! The desserts are a work of art Looking at the details of each, they not only look incredible but also taste amazing! They also have delicious breakfast croissant sandwiches as well as lattes. Whether you're looking for desserts for a special event or just looking for a cafe to go to with friends, add this spot to your list. Ambiance- Such a cute spot, love the wall art & great to work remotely as well Parking- plenty of parking in the lot & on the street The team was so friendly & a pleasure! Highly recommend!

Yelp
Desserts By Clement @dessertsbyclement The Sweet Box - $30 Mr. Cheesecake 5/5 Heart - 4.5/5 Pink Lady- 4.5/5 Choconut - 4.7/5 Yuzu Choux - 4.5 Sweet Mango - 5/5 The Mr. Cheesecake and the Sweet Mango were our favorites but everything was fantastic!! The Heart was good but just made me want the raspberry croissant (which is always divine!) This little dessert sampler is the perfect idea for people who love sweets but don't want to fill up on one flavor! We loved it Every dessert wasn't as heavy as they looked and it makes a wonderful tasting opportunity for multiple people if you're looking for a super fun brunch! Simply the best French bakery in San Diego. Clement is a genius. Get a raspberry pinwheel!!!

Yelp
Stunning French patisserie in Pacific Beach! They have some many delicious and beautiful treats! Awesome presentation and the service here was fabulous! Small parking lot & street parking available. Indoor & outdoor seating.

Yelp
If you have a sweet tooth and enjoy French desserts, it's definitely worth making your way to PB and finding parking to eat at this cute little cafe. I'm so glad it's not far too discovered yet, no crazy long lines but definitely decent traffic in and out. I love the cozy atmosphere and the service is top notch. I'd come back to try more of their lunch items and indulge in their desserts.
google avatar

Michelle R.

Yelp
Very cute place, I rate only 4 stars now because I'm hoping to try more items in nearby future. The croissants were amazing and I'm already thinking of coming back. Nutella rolled croissant was hands down my favorite one! The lavender was pretty tasty too and I'm typically not a fan of lavender at all. Can't wait to go back to try more dishes and desserts!

Yelp
I was excited to see a new French bakery in Pacific Beach.  Desserts By Clement has some fancy treats and drinks to pick from. Swiss had a crunchy top.  Sweet buttery inside.  Little pieces of chocolate to add another sweet flavor.  Creamy cream in the center.  Love the textures and flavors. Raspberry glaze on top and raspberry filling in the center give the raspberry roll alot of raspberry flavors.  The rest is croissant like with the crunchy outer part plus the soft buttery inside. Rieme sparkling orange drink was bubbly and I liked the sweet orange flavor.  More subtle than the blast of sugar in your face like an Orange Crush. The staff was nice and efficient.  My 2 treats and drink was a little over $20.  I've never been to France but I think I'd have a great time as I love French baked goods and drinks.

Yelp
Chef Clément has moved his pastry operation into this PB suite which used to house the last remaining San Diego branch of a national fast-casual, health-focused chain. This French patisserie shares several parking spots with a neighboring water store and a famous local donut shop. The inside had several tables for seating along with two hanging basket swing chairs to lounge and relax. Leashed dogs were welcome. :) Croissants, rolls, macarons, and custom-made pastries were on display in separate cases at the service counter. Two quiches, four sandwich croissants, a croque monsieur, and a French breakfast were the savory menu offerings. Coffee, tea, and bottled drinks were available as beverages. I made two recent visits, the first of which was to purchase pastries as a holiday gift. I chose a Snowflake (chewy cookie, caramel ganache, vanilla whipped ganache, chocolate chips) and a Santa Hat (red velvet cake, cheesecake mousse, cherry jelly, coconut marshmallow). Each was very photogenic and priced at $10. The second occasion was for a weekend lunch with a francophone friend. I picked the Quiche Lorraine which was a tart consisting of pastry crust filled with diced ham and gruyere cheese. It was served with a small green salad dressed with balsamic vinaigrette. The quiche was drier than I expected as the savory custard wasn't prominent enough to keep the mixture moist. I think the item was simply baked too long. Beer and wine will eventually be sold after the liquor license has been approved. Baking classes to learn how to make pastries will also be part of the long-range plan at Desserts By Clément.

Yelp
"SORRY IM BUSY EATING DESSERT" (3.75 stars) - FOOD: good - PRICE: kind of pricy for what you get - SERVICE: ok - AMBIANCE: cute I love seeing a booming business boom! Beautiful desserts with lots of customers ready to buy them. They seem to be expanding their menu with savory eats... had to come and try both. :: ORDER :: CROISSANT BURGER ($19) - comes with a side of potatoes and aioli sauce. I don't think this was worth the price. This is new on the menu and I never had a croissant burger so had to order it. A croissant for a bun was the next level up! Airy and crunchy/flaky yet dry but the sauce inside the burger provided the moisture and a full bite had good texture and taste. It's a messy burger to eat... you been warned! The patty was cooked well done and it had melted polvolone cheese. Stacked with a spicy sauce, fresh sliced purple onions, tomato, and arugula. Nice combination but a little spicier than I had anticipated as the spicy sauce elevated the herbal spicy from arugula and felt the fresh purple onions was overly overpowering and I would reduce the size of the raw onions. Would prefer smaller or thinner slices of purple onion. It was an ok-good burger but nothing to rush back to. HOWEVER, the potatoes failed this plate. They were basically greasy soggy breakfast potatoes. It should be served with something better like normal French fries or shoe string fries. The potatoes were a cheap shot on this meal. Maybe if this side was improved then it would be worth the price. They better step up the burger plate... The Friendly is around the corner for a fraction of the this price. Their other savory items on the menu are more affordable and you also get more on the plate... next time I'll have to try something else. RECOMMEND PINK LADY ($10) - their most popular one! Presentation is so elegant, simple, and beautiful. Taste was good but nothing amazing. The composition: Pistachio financier, Strawberry jelly, Pistachio ganache, Cherry blossom mousse. The good stuff is in the middle but it was tiny. The dessert is mostly covered in Cherry Blossom mousse which I feel made it not worth its price. Less mouse and more of the good stuff in the middle would have made it worth its price. I felt like I was digging for gold when sticking my fork in this dessert. It was a good dessert when you get a taste of the middle. RECOMMEND but would also explore the other desserts too. :: SERVICE :: It's busy and there are a few employees managing the place. I felt the owner was doing the most and think the people he hired should be doing the work he was doing (bussing tables, wiping tables, refilling the counter with napkins, utensils, cups). He should be behind the counter engaging with customers on desserts and the menu as people have questions and etc. Half the tables that were available were not wiped down and I had to be asked for it to be wiped down (mentioned this to the girl at the front counter during my order and she responses "sure just have a seat".) I waited and nobody came for a long time until the owner came by and I had to ask him. I felt like the annoying customer having to always go up and check on things... it took awhile for my food and I ordered dessert for after the meal but it was so busy and the pastries were flying out the glass case I had to get up and ask her to hold one for me for later (yes, I already paid for it). Also I ordered water and didn't receive any directions and thought a cup was going to be handed to me. Well, it's serve yourself and cups were not restocked so it was hard for customers to know where to get water. Again, I asked the owner and he got me a cup of water and restocked the counter. Again, all the tasks he was doing should be the tasks of the people that work for him and he should be the one behind the counter. I felt bad but all the things I needed weren't accessible and I had to bug someone. I'd love to come back and try some more of the menu but a $30 spend on the above and left feeling just satisfied but not amazed doesn't have me rushing to come back too soon. Until the next visit....

Yelp
Such a cute, aesthetic cafe! They have indoor and outdoor seating with modern boho decor. I loved the vibe and the service but wasn't a big fan of my drink or croissant. I ordered an iced matcha latte but they didn't put a lot of matcha so it felt like I was drinking milk. The color of my matcha is very light too. I had the cherry blossom croissant and I like the presentation and frosting on the outside but the filling inside was too overpowering. I'm definitely coming back next time to try their other items.

Yelp
Lovely French dessert/cafe in PB. Small parking lot but street parking available too. Some of the prettiest and delicious desserts! Almost too pretty to eat. Also savory items available which makes it a great brunch spot. Owner is very friendly and bonus for being so dog friendly! We will be back!
google avatar

Yelp
This cafe is serving lots of beautiful desserts and the croissants are huge! What my friend and I liked the most was the inside seating and booths. It's really nice to have a place to sit comfortably and enjoy your food and coffee. The creme brulee was creamy and my croissant sandwich hit the spot. I think the only thing that we weren't crazy about was the coffee. It was just ok and the drinks menu is very basic. Everything we ordered to eat there and they serve everything to you and make the food fresh. Great service and the pastry chef/owner was there too! Always love to see management there getting to know their customers.

Yelp
Got our photos back from the photographer and wanted to share how beautiful the display of desserts was:)

Yelp
We splurged whilst on vacation and tried the delicate desserts and purchased croissants for breakfast the next day. The mango dessert was our favorite. The chocolove was a bit too sweet for our taste. For both, texture was very creamy and mousse like. We had a raspberry dessert as well, but it had not thawed ok the way and was still slightly frozen in the center. After all and said and done, we'd buy the croissants 1,000 time over; best we've ever had . We'd probably skip on the other desserts we tried, but are glad we tried them for the experience of eating very artistic food:)

Yelp
This place was remarkable nice quite off the main strip you could miss it if you don't pay attention. Went here for my wife's birthday and I got the raspberry and the Nutella rolled croissants, I got the cherry stuffed croissant an eclair and a bunch of little pastries. All the croissants are stuffed to the max with filling and they are flavorful we enjoyed them all but the cherry cream stuffed croissant was the wild card and it was quite delishes with a nice espresso um um that was good eating. I don't know if there menu changes but I will be back for more flakey goodness.

Yelp
So I went in March 2 around 2-3ish. I seen the enclosed case with the dainty desserts. Not many of a selection but I decided to get the chocolate eclair and the pink lady. 1 star- I noticed they also had pastries that were outside of the case closer to the register. I noticed there was a fly jumping from pastry to pastry. I let the girl at the register know about this. I got my order to go and left. When I left turned out she gave me the wrong dessert so I went back. I seen the pastries still there. Gross! She said "thank you for letting us know about the fly" I'm not sure if they took them out but they were still there when I went back. 4-star- the pink lady and the chocolate eclairs were delicious!

Yelp
I was very excited for this place but it was just ehh. My friend and I ordered croissant sandwiches, waited 45 min, and had to remind them about our food. The server told us the chef had just left and not told them when he'd be back.. we eventually got our food and it was decent. The desserts were not too sweet, which was good, but they weren't as tasty as we'd hoped. The lychee flavor overpowered the entire dessert in one of them. The macarons were very good tho! Overall, I don't know if I'd drive all the way to PB for this place again.

Yelp
My baby's 1st birthday was coming up. We had ordered the main cake from one of my favorite bakers, but also wanted to offer a dessert choice that was both cute and delicious! I found Desserts by Clement on Yelp, and I'm so glad I did! We were able to buy a tasting box prior to ordering, and the individually sized desserts were not only delicious, but beautiful! I had never in my life seen desserts like he had made them. I had guests asking me all day where I got the desserts from, and how they could get them too. Clement even delivered the desserts with setup, and it looked like a display dessert case! I would definitely order desserts from here again!
google avatar

Jeff L.

Yelp
The best croissants and desserts I've had in awhile. I used to love Dominique Ansel at the Grove in LA but since that is gone, I haven't found anything as good until Desserts by Clément, which I might like more. Will definitely be back, it is a must visit. Chef Clement was there and he is so friendly and humble, along with the staff who are really nice and friendly too; and the ambiance of the shop is trendy and clean. Love this place, try it, you will not regret it.

Yelp
Omg everything was so good! the croissant sandwich was amazing!! I was craving it the next day, if you're in the PB area it's a must to stop by.

Yelp
TThe desserts served at this place are not only visually stunning but also delicious. I am a regular visitor and have always loved their creations. However, my recent experience was disappointing. I purchased their Mother's Day strawberry dessert last Friday and was assured that it would remain fresh until Monday if stored properly. I immediately put it in the refrigerator, but unfortunately, it turned out to be a complete failure today on Mother's Day. The dessert which cost $30 was not at all delightful and in fact, it was quite For $30 dollars I expect more -

Yelp
A piece of Europe is here ! Highly recommend it Delicious, beautiful excellent service and a cozy place with a swing chair!

Yelp
Love the food, the service, the staff, and the ambiance. It helps that the staff is very nice and so is the chef himself. I have tried their croissants, the ham and cheese breakfast , their excellent black coffee, and also their strawberry cake. Everything so far has been exceptional and delicious. I love going here and highly recommend this place.

Yelp
This place is small and aesthetically great. The food is solid and so yummy. We had the salmon croissant, italiano, chocolate croissants, the nutella disk croissants and desserts such as the mango cheese cake and the chocolate eclair. Everything was perfect the croissants were butterly and flaky yet you don't taste the butter or the fatty taste of the butter. The croissant sandwiches were full and the portion is generous it comes with a side salad as well and all were yummy. The desserts were light and not too sweet. Oh and we got a cappucino, and dark mocha and they were perfect. The staff and the chef were there. The staff were attentive and came to clear and clean our table before dessert.

Yelp
Oh man, I really wanted to like this place and maybe I just picked the wrong dessert. Let's start with the good, the desserts look amazing, the staff was very nice and the store was clean, but inviting. The bad- I spent $10 on one dessert, the Sweet Lady and it wasn't good. I offered the first bite to my boyfriend excited to see his reaction, expecting the best, but his scrunched face was discouraging. I tried it myself and it just didn't taste like anything. It was supposed to be pistachio, strawberry, cherry blossom. Maybe I got a little strawberry jelly taste, but tasted like expired strawberry nesquik. I threw it out

Yelp
It's my 3rd time visiting this spot in PB. I love the atmosphere, bright and beautiful interior design. The dessert's display it's like a art showcase, gorgeous color and everything I ordered was delicious! The service was great and Jeanne Flore was very kind and sweet. I ordered a croissant generously filled with cherry blossom and raspberry jam. So yum! My matcha was perfectly executed, the right balance. I brought my laptop and spent few hours there. Absolutely lovely time, easy to find parking around as well. Will definitely come back.

Yelp
I first learned about Desserts By Clement from a friend who had taken a pastry class at their El Cajon location. She spoke about the class and how perfect the pastry came out, and she shared the beautiful pictures with me. Anyway, a friend of mine who knows that I have a passion for all things French told me about their new Pacific Beach location, and we decided to meet up for lunch. I called ahead of time to ensure the location was dog friendly, and was so glad to learn they were. I was able to take my spaniel to lunch with me, and I love to take her everywhere. When I arrived, I glanced at the pastry counter... it was amazing! Every dessert was absolutely stunning. I was already impressed. We had come for lunch, so I ordered one of my absolute favorites... a croque monsieur. And I ordered a latte. They did not have nonfat milk (my go-to) so I chose whole milk... not a favorite, but it is ok considering this is not a place for this worried about a few calories. Anyway, the latte was very good as was the croquet monsieur. However, I have to say that I have had better croquet monsieurs, both in, and outside of San Diego county. It had a great flavor, but it lacked a bit of the creamy cheesiness that I have had at some other bistros. My friend and I sat and chatted for about an hour after we had finished our lunches, sipping drinks, and thinking about what I wanted to order for dessert. I thought it would have been nice for someone to come and pick up our dishes, but no one ever did. Service was friendly, but it pretty much ended when they brought out the food. That said, I ordered a trio of desserts to take home with me to serve on New Years Eve. I ordered the Santa's Hat, the Christmas Tree, and the Sweet Lady. Each one was more beautiful than the other. They were all so delicious and had a variety of textures in each one. My favorite was probably the Santa's Hat, but I loved them all. All in all, we had a lovely lunch experience. The lunch food was pretty good. The desserts were excellent. I hope they can bring their savory foods. up to the level of their desserts. Yes, I do recommend this place and would absolutely return. If you ever go to dinner at a friend's place, perhaps you should have bring a Dessert by Clement.

Yelp
It's like work of art The new French bakery in Pacific Beach is a wonderful cafe and patisserie to hang out with friends and family and catch up over desserts, croissants and coffee. The desserts here are created by Chef Clement and are next level. Staff is super helpful and friendly too. Must try new spot in San Diego

Yelp
Mastery of pastry in terms of both flavor and presentation. A beautiful cafe with fast and friendly service. I'll be sure to visit often. We sampled each of the desserts on offer that day. Our favorites were the chocolate eclair, pink lady, and mango. You can tell that high quality chocolate is used. The lamination of the croissant will bring you to tears.

Yelp
Tasty sweets and good coffee. The service is great and friendly staff at the counter. Bakery is pretty inside and minimalist design. Since we came by late in the afternoon all the baked goods are gone we didn't get to try any breads. We'll definitely come back to try some goodies at this pretty bakery/dessert place.

Yelp
Do we have more than 5 rating? Love this place and kept coming back. No other words can match ...service, high grade food quality and the best best croissants/ cruffins I've ever tasted. Very proud to be your student! When it's Chef Clement's masterpiece it must be really really the best! Looking forward to visit again

Yelp
The food was AMAZING! We tried basically everything on the menu and none of it disappointed. Our favorites were the Quiche Lorraine (ham and cheese), the Garden Croissant Sandwich (it had Prosciutto, Brie, Fig Jam, and Arugula!!), the Raspberry Charlotte dessert, and the Cherry Blossom Croissant. Service was amazing and it's so pretty inside. I'll be back again soon!

Yelp
Delicious. The savory croissants ($14ish) are so good and the arugla salad served on the side is nice as well. We also had a chocolate croissant which my toddlers were very impressed with. It appears that great care (time) is taken with every item, but as this spot gets busier they are going to need to adapt or they won't succeed. Highly recommend the prosciutto+brie+fig jam croissant. Perfect balance of flavors- so yummy.

Yelp
I ordered my birthday cake from Clement for 30 guests. It was a HIT! There wasn't a single crumb left. It tasted divine and looked very refined. We got so many compliments and pretty much all guests asked about where did we order it from. For sure, Clement is our to-go-to baker for all future occasions! You won't be disappointed.

Yelp
The pastries are absolutely beautiful and taste even better than you can imagine! We shared the mango cheesecake, it looks amazing and once you cut into it, there's delicious diced up mango on the inside...I can't wait to come back with my kiddos The ambiance is really nice and relaxing as well with some cool lounge swing chairs on the inside as well
