Classic American/Italian flavors and good service. Our waitress Joy made the experience 100x better. The food was great and portions were large, definitely left feeling very full.

First time going to DeStefanos and everything from the food, service and ambiance of the place was amazing. This steakhouse is fit for any type of gathering but do not expect it to be loud like other restaurants/steakhouses can be. The drinks, appetizers, and main course were amazing. Crab Cakes def stood out, and the porterhouse is simply amazing. I highly recommend this steakhouse to anyone looking for a great experience and even better food.

The food here was amazing! I had the lamb chops and they were really good! The Pear salad was delicious make sure you toss it before you divide it between plates or else the dressing will be in one place. The service was excellent and the overall hospitality was on point.

Parking wasn't as bad as I expected for the area, that's one of the main things for me. Dinner was good, that was expected. We ordered an egg roll appetizer, shrimp, thi k cut bacon sloves, a few different cuts of steak, salads, mashed potatoes, and creamed spinach. Bacon was impressive but there was nothing bad on the table. Staff was very friendly and pleasant.

DeStefano’s Steakhouse is nothing short of perfection! I recently celebrated my birthday there, and it was one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. The steak? Absolutely phenomenal. Cooked to perfection, it was one of the best I’ve eaten in a while—tender, flavorful, and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. The service was impeccable. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was perfect from start to finish. The atmosphere added to the experience—warm, inviting, and with just the right amount of sophistication for a special occasion. My birthday celebration couldn’t have been better. DeStefano’s made the night unforgettable, and I can’t wait to return. If you’re looking for a top-tier steakhouse, this is the place to go!

Service was top notch!! Steak was "cooked" perfectly- I've never had such a great medium cooked steak. It melted like butter. Sides were also fantastic! However. The steak had no seasoning!

My partner and I came here for my birthday a few weeks ago and I am *so* so glad we did. It was a Tuesday night and the ambiance was perfect: not too hectic, but definitely not empty, and it got much busier toward the end of our meal. First, I just have to say that the service is some of the absolute best in NYC. We had a reservation to come after doing a spa day nearby, but we wound up showing up maybe half an hour early and the servers immediately seated us anyway, accommodating the request I'd made in my reservation to sit in a corner (I find it easier to talk). Everyone was just the right amount of attentive--nobody was to intense or checking in on us too much, but they also made sure our every need was taken care of, including the table being quickly and quietly cleaned up as needed. They also drew "happy birthday" on the plate for our desserts, which they very kindly comped off our bill. Also! Neither my partner or I drink, and you can kind of tell when restaurants are a little disappointed if everyone's ordering nonalcoholic drinks, but that absolutely was not the case here--a subtle thing that's actually really meaningful. The food itself is fantastic. A steak was perfectly cooked, the sides were all amazing (spinach and potato wedges), and we had a fantastic iceberg wedge salad, too. If there's one starter I can recommend more than anything, though, it's the sweet and spicy bacon. It is...just unreal. Both of us couldn't stop remarking on how incredible it was (and it went perfectly with the salad, too). We live in a different part of Brooklyn that isn't easily accessible from the North BK area, which is why we rarely come to Williamsburg or the surrounding areas, but before even finishing our meal, we were already talking about how can't wait to come back. DeStefano's is a fantastic spot for birthdays, groups, and dates, and I'm sure it'd even be wonderful solo--a true gem.

Went for the steak, left knowing that if I ever returned it would be for that glorious pork chop It's dark, it's old school, it's straight forward, the steak wasn't what I thought it would be l, and the porkchop was absolutely next level!

This is the perfect place for those who want a cozy dinner. The steak cooking and the quality of the meat were in no way inferior to Peter Luger. The servers were also very friendly. I highly recommend it for anyone looking to enjoy dinner in a comfortable atmosphere at a reasonable price.

I order short ribs rolls and 16 oz New York strips, salad is Pear, Arugula Pancetta not too surprising but average, the short ribs rolls just like the ones we eat at the Chinese restaurant, but the steak way better than Peter Luger !!! This is surprising me ! Services just normal, ambiance are okay Will return to try the porterhouse steak next time

Incredible steaks, delicious bacon steaks, and great cocktails with an old school vibe that made me free like a real New Yorker! Best kept secret is how many cool and non touristy steak houses are in Brooklyn. Came here for a fancy date night and it totally knocked it out of the park! The old fashioneds were delicious, our server was very knowledgeable of the menu and our bacon slab and salad came out so quickly. The dressing was a little sweet on the salad, but i really enjoyed the pears and shaved cheese. The bacon slab is a go to but very decadent move at a steak out, and it was SO delicious and salty. The steaks themselves though were insanely delicious. Ordered rare, perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned. We were so full, we couldnt even LOOK at a dessert menu. Great spot with great prices for the quality food.

Took my bf here for his birthday dinner and we had such a great time! Very nice old school Italian steakhouse in a neighborhood. I loved the decor and service! We ordered the Cesar salad, ny strip steak, mahi mahi, garlic mashed potatoes, and crème brûlée cheesecake. Winners were the steak, mashed potatoes and cheesecake. Portions were huge and we actually fell into a food coma afterwards and went to bed very early. Amazing food and a great place to dine on special occasions!

Stumbled upon DeStafano's on a Saturday night with a last minute reservation. Waited an hour at the bar before sitting which was not bad as we intended on doing this. The bartender Michelle makes great drinks, gives good recommendations and is an all around pleasant human. Our waiter, on the other hand seemed like he had an attitude. Didn't let that ruin our night. The food was incredible GET the lamb chops. Sides we went with (not pictured) garlic mashed and creamed spinach, tasty but nothing special. Opted out for dessert. Definitely recommend the steakhouse.

So I'm going to try and not be overly critical, but it's going be a challenge... I brought my boyfriend out for dinner tonight, hoping to celebrate my promotion locally, instead of traveling to the city for a nice dinner. I did my research and the reviews were so good, that I'm a bit confused of people's expectations for a dinner at the price point. A 4.5 star rating is very GENEROUS! We made a reservation for 8 PM and showed up at 7:45 PM. The bartender greeted us and sat us, (her personality was impeccable and so friendly - ideal hospitality energy). We got some sparkling water and a beautiful bottle of wine that was just divine. There was also a fantastic selection for a local restaurant. We ordered the Porterhouse for two, the pear salad, creamed parmesan corn, green beans with pancetta, and the garlic mashed potatoes. It came with two complementary rolls and butter. The salad came, it was KILLER, and I was so excited for the meal, as everything had been excellent so far. Then the main meal came... and what a disappointment! The steak was warm, and the oil was not even sizzling on arrival, the sides were all luke warm, not hot. Everything was just so utterly bland. It just had little to flavor, very little salt, no seasoning other than garlic and pepper, no herbs, no nothing. The creamed corn was just milky, the green beans were not crisp, but quite limp, however the garlic mashed potatoes were delicious. But can you really screw up mashed potatoes? I knew not to order to dessert, as the portions looked minuscule online, so we just asked for the bill at the end of meal. Our server was very pleasant, but I felt life for this price point, the service should be almost annoying - Similarly to Peter Luger. Especially as they are trying to mimic that type of environment it seems. For the two of us, it was $348.00... but for what was presented and the level of service, I would have expected the price point to be about $100 less than that. The restaurant wasn't even busy, there were three tables of two and one four top for two servers. But based on the customer base present during our meal, it seems to attract big ego men looking to take low brow women for a "high end" dinner experience where they don't want to be seen. But alas, price does not dictate quality. I wouldn't recommend for some someone celebrating something. There are far better restaurants for less money in the area that will whet the pallet throughly! Seek other options.

Absolutely best Damn Steak house in Brooklyn. I've been to this establishment about 10 Times and the PorterHouse for 2 is a must have even if your the only one eating. New York strip is a Definite go to & DO NOT FORGET to order the Garlic Mashed Potato & the infused corn. The service is exceptional & Mr. John is an absolute Gentleman . The ambiance is cozy with a possible Date happening 2 tables over or a family enjoying a Great Steak night out. Thank you Destefano's Staff for a wonderful Family night out.

The steak here is amazing and so is the team. Unlike another unnamed competitor steakhouse in Williamsburg, the team here makes you feel welcome. John, Joy, Christian, and Dave know how to make their customers happy. The steak here is just amazing, very tender and flavorful. You can't go wrong with any of them. Take your pick, prepare to drool. I always go with my wife, so I always go with the Porterhouse for two. The bacon is a MUST. A beautiful combination of sweet and a little spicy, I would easily say it's one of the best pieces of bacon in Brooklyn. And the sides. Don't get me started on the sides. I have tried all of them. I ALWAYS get the garlic mashed potatoes. You can't go wrong with the others, but I have my favorite. Desserts. I've been told that I make a pretty good Panna Cotta. Personally, I'm not even a fan of consuming it. However, I decided to get it here and I'm suffering now because I know what an AMAZING panna cotta should taste like and have to refine my recipe. The tiramisu is also amazing and leaves me wanting more. Don't hesitate to ask the team for the recommendations. You never know what you'll get.

Loved the atmosphere! It felt like I was at my grandma's house. Our waiter was great. He was really nice. He realized that he forgot to give my husband his second round of drink. So when I asked for another round, he gave my husband's drink on the house. We didn't even tell him about the drink he had forgotten in the first place. He took the initiative and made up for it. We thought that was very nice and professional. The food here is delicious! The short rib spring rolls were so good especially with their horseradish sour cream. We also had their Portobello Napolitano which is a grilled portobello mushroom layered with sautéed spinach, goat cheese and blue cheese. It was delicious! We also had their Bone-in Rib Eye (24oz.) It's a twenty-eight day prime dry aged Rib Eye served in its own juices and sliced upon request. Filet Mignon (8oz.) Their signature filet for a lighter appetite. Served with or without sauce. The steaks were cooked to perfection! We also loved their Italian Style Creamed Spinach. It wasn't too creamy which we liked! It was delicious. Don't forget to make reservations!

There is something to be said about an old school Italian Steakhouse. DeStefano's is a gem of a restaurant in Williamsburg , Brooklyn. Framed portraits serve as decoration in the small dining room. The bar was is separate from the man dining room is a nice open space but still intimate with tables for dining as well. The service was great from start to finish. We never felt rushed even after realizing our party of three had been there for 2 + hours as the dining room filled up. May sure you make reservations if you plan on dining. Steaks weee cooked to our liking. The only miss were the short rib egg rolls and creamed corn which were just ok. Amazing food, very friendly service, reasonable price for what you get. If you are reading this you are probably deciding between here and near by Peter Luger's. I have been to Luger's twice and will say that the atmosphere and the vibe are nice at Luger's. But for quality of steak, hands down I give it to DeStefano's. Porterhouse for 2 and the rib eye were absolutely incredible. The lamb chops were good, they didn't blow us away probably bc the other 2 steaks were that great. The bacon appetizers are a must try. The service was friendly from all of the staff. On a Friday night we definitely didn't feel rushed. The price was better than I anticipated. 7 people with appetizers, meal, desert, coffee and three alcoholic bevs came in under $100 a person. Will I come back? 100% yes. Will I go back to Luger's? Meh, been there done that.

We got the porterhouse medium rare and garlic mash potato. And wowwww that mash really compliments the steak. We loved it! And got seconds of the mash

Went for dinner with my family to celebrate my sons college graduation the other night. My other son has been there and raved about this place so we figured we'd give it a try. Appetizers of bacon, short rib eggrolls, burrata mozzarella were terrific. Drink menu was great and we enjoyed quite a few cocktails lol. As for steaks, we ordered two T-bone steaks for two. Believe it or not, that was enough for six of us. As for sides, we had creamed, spinach, mashed potatoes, sautéed spinach, and french fries. Everything was fabulous ,only pet peeve I'd have to say was they need to work on the shrimp cocktail. Chocolate bourbon pecan pie for dessert and coffee finished the night .really wonderful meal.

Food we ordered: Crab cakes - amazing Mushrooms topped w/spinach, blue cheese, & feta- very good Creamed spinach- not to heavy and creamy if you enjoy a more creamy style Don't order Potatoes -ok Mahi Mahi (pan seared crusted pistachios)- dry and over cooked 40oz porter house- the people that ate it said it was amazing. Tiramisu - ok, I prefer Lil Frankies better Drinks: Espresso martini - good Old Fashion-good Manhattan-good Service: "John" was amazing and took care of us for 2.5hrs Definitely a great place for am amazing

I highly recommend you book a dinner reservation here or if you are looking to just sit at the bar & chill this is a great place. We were celebrating a goal reached and wanted to be in a intimate setting. We chose DeStefano's Steakhouse and we were not disappointed! We were absolutely happy with the service, quality of food and the lovely family atmosphere. We were accommodated earlier than our reservation which is always a plus for us. The bartender was friendly and amazing in her mixology skills. She also recommended the crab cakes which were delicious! Thank you, Aracelis Burgos.

I cannot wait to come back!! Lovely ambiance with very friendly and attentive staff. It felt nice to come to a steakhouse and not feel rushed to order/complete your meal like most big steakhouses. We started with the short rib rolls (spring rolls with mashed potato and short rib) that came with an interesting dipping sauce. It was so inventive in my opinion! We also tried the lobster ravioli which was such a nice compliment to the rib eye steak cooked medium rare. So crispy on the outside and soft on the inside!

I stopped into to DeStefano's to grab dinner and I have mixed feelings. I began with a glass of North Coast Cabernet, and it was tasty. I ordered an 8oz Filet Mignon, and a side of Creamed Spinach. The Filet looked a bit small, and it wasn't very tasty. The Creamed Spinach was good, not great. I had room for dessert and I tried the Chocolate Pecan Pie. Once again, nothing special. The space is attractive, and the crowd was very nice. I may return.

Everything was amazing! The staff was so welcoming and friendly. Helpful with ordering and recommendations! The food was absolutely delicious. The pork chop was fantastic , the bacon was a hit! Bbq shrimp were amazing and of course the porterhouse was exceptionally delicious. And the sides were awesome ! Did not disappoint and exceeded all our expectations. The drinks were so tasty, too! This is my go to steakhouse in the neighborhood. The staff was so friendly. The steak is cooked perfectly each time. We always get the porterhouse for 2 and a filet mignon to share between 4 people. They also have really good tiramisu!!

Service and food was amazing! I took my Fiancé for birthday dinner and mentioned in comments (reservations online) that it was his birthday but we were to full so didn't order dessert and they surprised us with a dessert with candle (on the house) very delicious and so thoughtful

I'm going to keep this brief because if you haven't eaten at DeStefano's you just SHOULD not only because I say so but because this establishment has been around a long time and you probably just say oh it's on the list or we're saving it for special occasion BUT JUST GO. Honestly a fantastic meal, probably the best meal I had all year. 2022. Get the carpaccio appy, much different from the usual style but amazingly delicious and I would recommend get 2 for the table. Service attentive and on point. Make the reservation sit your butts down and eat !

Visited Jan. 7 for the first time. First, I would like to advise that you should reserve in advance. Someone called only to find out Destefano's was fully booked. Now the food. The bacon, while delicious, I only received 1 slice. I'm not sure if thats the norm. Next was the Porterhouse steak for 2. Cooked to perfection with a double side of home fries. Both are very delicious. After dinner, I had an espresso martini , and my wife tried her first Irish coffee. David was our server, and he had such a mellow and relaxing voice that we agreed he was easy to speak to. Until we meat again.

First time for our anniversary. It was wonderful! The 40oz Porterhouse for Two was amazing as well as the garlic mash and asparagus. The service was great! Low music makes for a great environment and nice for conversation.

My brother and I have a tradition where we go to different steakhouses in NYC, and this was probably our 7th in the past year? DeStefano started out wonderfully. The crab cakes were honestly some of the absolute BEST appetizers I've had at a steakhouse. I can't recommend them any more. Everything else though sadly was average to a bit below average in comparison to the competition around the city. The drinks were forgettable, the steak lacked quite the punch that I've had from their competitors, and the side dishes although good were nothing spectacular. Given the price I was expecting to have an experience similar to other steakhouses. Service was great though!

DeStafano's is a cozy steakhouse nestled in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. We enjoyed a few items from their menu from our recent dinner. The burrata caprese and crab cakes was a nice start to our dinner. The short rib rolls and French onion soup were just ok. The winning parts of our meal were the porterhouse steaks for 2, garlic mashed potatoes, sweet and spicy bacon, and the creamed corn infused with Parmesan. The bacon was just perfect with a lovely sweet glaze. The porterhouse was cooked to a perfect medium rare as requested and seasoned appropriately. Along with the garlic mashed potatoes and creamed corn infused with Parmesan, it was a perfect touch to an ideal steakhouse meal. If I recall correctly our waitress was Michelle and she did a great job- thank you! Overall I recommend you try DeStafano's!

The food was delicious. The server heard that it was my friend's birthday and brought us limoncello shots. We were the last table on a Sunday night but we didn't feel rushed.

Amazing service and very friendly atmosphere. The food itself was perfect for me and my date. Just few appetizers and for two salads and porterhouse for 2. Bottle of red wine. Got their little earlier the expected and they sat us down right away. John the server was my server but everyone played a rolled to serve us and the took care of the other customers. Great job!

My friend and I really enjoyed dinner here last Saturday night. I made a reservation during the day for that evening, and luckily, there was availability. When we got to the restaurant, there was still a bit of a wait, as some tables were finishing up, so we sat at the bar for a spell before being seated. When we were seated, we cut straight to the main course, ordering spinach, which was recommended by our server as a special, mashed potatoes (heavenly, and I say this as someone who has avoided mashed potatoes for most of my life), and two 12oz orders of filet mignon, which were divine. They also gave us some limoncello after the meal. I like the feel of this Williamsburg steakhouse. It's a block or so from their previous location (beware Uber hasn't yet updated the address in their app if you search "DeStefano's"), near the Metropolitan-Lorimer L train station. The dining room boasts red paint and warm lighting, and framed photographs (family and novelty) line the walls. Diners' dress ranged from casual to classy. Service was polite. I'd return.

This is my boyfriends favorite steakhouse. He used to live in NYC. So when we vacationed here, he had to go. Place is in a great little neighborhood. Service was excellent. We shared a porterhouse for two and the creamed spinach and ate absolutely everything. I had a great glass of house Cab and he had some bourbon. We left no room for dessert but the dinner was lovely.

Came to celebrate a relative's birthday. Food was good but wasn't amazing since I've had better steakhouses in the city. The server we had was super nice and often came to check how the food was. They surprised the birthday girl with a slice of Crème Brûlée cheesecake, which was a great way to end the night. Classic steakhouse that is better than its local competitor. We were a party of 10 and the owner and staff went out of their way to accommodate. We all had the porterhouse and practically all of their sides and desserts. Everything was amazing. For steak, it does not get better than this.

We have been eating at DeStefano's steak house for over 10 years and have never been disappointed. From the exceptional staff to the delectable food, a meal at Dee's will leave you wanting for nothing except your next reservation. The owner is so pleasant and genuine...you are treated like family. If I could give 100 stars, I would!
