Stayed here a year ago for business and it hasn't improved much since. The hotel receives a few stars since the common areas are generally clean, and seemed safe enough.
The fitness center is better equipped and kept than most hotels, but the ceiling is so low, you're not able to do much standing and reaching overhead.
The front desk seems to be too low on staff for the amount of guests and the wait is longer than needed. This area could be automated to cut out most of that congestion.
One day, they would supply large dispensers of lemon and cucumber water. Then it would disappear for several more days. Assuming this was put out during anticipated larger check-in days, why not maintain this everyday? It sets a false expectation for the quality of the hotel.
The hotel stated that they didn't offer room cleaning during the stay and that extra items would be brought to the room if requested. This is fine for a few day stay, but anything more than that is unacceptable. A few days into this stay, apparently they started housekeeping services again, amd they cleaned the room twice, then never again. For a 2 week stay, 2 days of cleaning isn't enough. If I have to do my own upkeep in a room, then there's no point to staying in a hotel.
Inside the room, there is a thermostat control that has a horrible user interface. If you set the temperature at 63, the room cools to that temperature. But if it feels too cold, and you want to turn off the a/c, there is no obvious way to do it. So then you'd assume that if you increase the temperature a few degrees, then it would simply produce less cool air. Instead, it turns on the heater to heat the room the extra couple degrees. Those other buttons with the arrows and the body also make 0 sense. No words, no instructions, just pictures. Terrible design.
On a few days, the wait for an elevator was several minutes. It seemed as though only 2 of the available 6 elevators were working. Other guests said they waited 20 minutes for an elevator. They were so desperate to get on an elevator that they would get in with their luggage, ride the elevator up, just so they had a spot in the elevator when it eventually went down. This meant that anyone else who needed to ride the elevator up, usually could not fit. This has never been experienced in any other hotel, especially one of this size with so many elevators.
Disappointed that there isn't a higher standard being upheld.
