New Burger Restaurants NADC Burger and Deux Luxe Open in NYC | Eater NY

"From co-owners and sisters Charlotte Denoyer and Carrie Denoyer — who also run the Harrison café Cafe Deux — this Soho burger shop highlights the Denoyers’ Westchester restaurant’s burger and was pursued because they “had wanted to open something in New York City, where they grew up,” per a rep. The Denoyers’ father, Jean Denoyer, opened and runs longtime French restaurant La Goulue (open uptown since 1973, with a location in Florida). The menu centers on a classic burger made with a wagyu beef patty, cheddar cheese, and garlic aioli, plus the Big Deux version with two wagyu patties and a sauce; there are plans for monthly special burgers (first up: a Butter Chicken burger, a collaboration with restaurateur Jimmy Rizvi of Gramercy Indian restaurant GupShup). The rest of the menu includes items like crispy chicken sandwiches and portobello mushroom sandwiches. The physical space features barstools along the window, pennants and banners on the wall, and a sticker vending machine. The shop opens at 384 Broome Street (near Mulberry Street) and will open on Friday, May 16 with limited hours and service on its first two days (May 16–17), pause briefly, then reopen for evening service on Tuesday, May 20 and begin daytime hours on Friday, May 23." - Nadia Chaudhury

Great experience! The staff was friendly and helpful. Had the Big Deux burger and was not disappointed. The sauce and burger were both great. The fries were hot and crispy and there were various sauces to choose from. Nice lunchtime combo deal. Ate in at their nicely appointed little dining area with a few hi tops and counter. Would like to come back and try some of the other menu options!

The chicken sandwich is phenomenal. Not too spicy or too much sauce, the cabbage is delicious and the chicken is perfectly crispy. The sandwich is deceptively big too; lots of chicken and GLUTEN FREE. I’ll be back soon to try the burger and gluten free mozzarella sticks. The lady in charge was on her game and couldn’t have been any more accommodating, pleasant and professional.

Actually the best burger and incredible - run, don’t walk here. They also have other options (like their thanksgiving special sandwich and chicken) but the burger is amazing, and wagyu. It’s moist, it’s filling, the cheese melts; it’s just so well done. We’ll definitely come back to try their other specials, but there’s a reason why this place won the “best burger” award. Also I love their fries, which are chip-shaped (but perfect thickness) and crispy. I’m thinking I would come back and just order the burger over and over again! This place has seating but enough for 4-5 parties. I believe the burger will still travel well for takeout. Also importantly, they offer a gluten-free bun. I heavily contemplated buying another burger to split but my partner couldn’t help me finish it. She also typically does not finish meals but she absolutely finished the entire meal here.

Wagyu burger was very good. Lived up to the hype. Although as the best burger in New York, not too sure about that. It’s definitely up there. Food was great, staff were nice, and place was very welcoming. Worth trying out for sure.

Absolutely shocked this place won best burger by TimeOut. The party had 0 char or crust and the cheese wasn’t melted. The burger was just mushy and also wasn’t hot which was odd given that I ate it there It’s also a hefty price tag. I hate giving bad reviews but for an award winning burger, I’d expect so much more. Wouldn’t come back or recommend

Wow the burger lives up to all of the hype. Don’t sleep on the turkey dip, it’s so freaking tasty. The spicy fried chicken sandwich is so special and the classic, you really can’t beat it. All of the sauces are freaking delicious.

Deux Luxe instantly became my go-to burger spot in NYC! The staff are super friendly, the space is spotless, and the wagyu burgers are insanely fresh. I had the Big Deux (their take on the Big Mac) and honestly, I don’t think I can ever go back to McDonald’s. The patty-to-ingredient ratio was perfect, and as a pickle lover, I was thrilled to see they use plenty of their own house-made pickles. Best part? I left satisfied but not weighed down like at other burger joints.

We had spicy chicken sandwich and regular burger and both were delicious. The double patties made the portions generous and definitely worth the price! I also love that they offer gluten free options and use hormone free chicken. Will come back for their new buffalo chicken burger soon!
