"Wing lovers head to Devil’s Acre Tavern for the one pound of wings menu item offered with a bevy of flavorful sauces, from the Devil’s Sauce hot option for zesty wing lovers to the daring Atomic offering. If extra spicy wings don’t please your palate, this Bucks County restaurant also offers less fiery choices, such as the garlic parm and salt and pepper." - Kristen Kwiatkowski

Everything we had was great. Kielbasa dip, wings, links, short rin grilled cheese all very good. Great beer selection as well. Was our first time and glad we found it

Perfect German inspired gastropub; it has everything you’re looking for. Great beer, great atmosphere, and of course great food. The kielbasa dip is a must try for an appetizer; so flavorful and they give a ton of bread. The sandwiches we shared were also both great. Definitely worth a stop if you’re in the area.

We had a great experience for our first visit to the Devil's Acre Tavern. We set a reservation on open table, which was not needed. This German influenced tavern has a good beer menu and an interesting selection of appetizers and entrees. Our excellent service was provided by Rhea. On her recommendation we tried the Kielbasa Dip - a completely new appetizer for us. Great smokey flavor and good texture on the grilled bread rounds. We also tried the softer then expected Pretzel Bites with Beer Cheese. For our entrees we had the Pork Schnitzel and the Braised Short Ribs. The short ribs were beyond amazing. A must try. The bacon jam on the top of the Schnitzel was a nice change from the traditional toppings. Dessert was a shared serving of Bananas Foster bread pudding topped with vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce. Even if the meal had been substandard I would return just to eat that dessert again. Great experience and well worth checking out.

It is extremely rare that I leave a restaurant, feeling angry, as if I’ve been taking advantage of. Our trip to Devils acre, however, left us feeling that way. I ordered fish and chips. As you can see in the picture, the fish, which looked. Like big fish sticks were only slightly larger than the lemon. They were overcooked and the interior was dry. It seems that they have been put back in the oil to heat it. i’ve had fish and chips in many places in the US and abroad, and this is, without a doubt, the worst iteration I have had. In fact, I had complained to the waitress. While I would have expected somebody to come out from the kitchen to understand this no one paid attention. My wife had a chicken schnitzel that was so overcooked. It was stringy and hard to cut. Again, someone must’ve been too busy to pay attention to the entrée. The spas were good and prepared adequately. Although this came as a “side“ with the meal when I saw the check, they charged us two dollars for gravy. If you’re into drinking, this might be a great place to go. If you’re in the market for a great me, I think there are better options. In fact, I know there are better options.

Stepping into Devil's Acre Tavern is like taking a thrilling step back in time to the roaring '20s! Nestled in Plumsteadville, this gem of a restaurant pays a fantastic homage to its namesake—the notorious Devil's Acre on the Delaware Canal Towpath along the Delaware River. Known for its spirited (pun intended!) history during the Prohibition era, where it buzzed with illegal speakeasies and was a haven for the adventurous, this spot truly captures that rebel spirit! From the moment you walk in, the ambiance is utterly captivating. The artwork is a nod to the Prohibition days, with subtle hints of mischief and revelry that truly enrich the dining experience. It's not just about aesthetics; the food here is a serious affair. Each dish is bursting with flavor, perfectly cooked and presented with a flair that complements its historic theme. Service at Devil's Acre Tavern is just as impressive as its menu and decor. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and always ready with a recommendation to ensure your meal is memorable. It's clear they take pride in both the history and the food they serve, making every visitor feel like a local. Whether you're a Bucks County native or just passing through, make sure to stop at Devil's Acre Tavern. It's more than just a meal; it's a vibrant celebration of history, art, and community spirit wrapped up in a delightful culinary experience. A definite must-visit for anyone looking to spice up their dining routine!

Found this gem through a web search. The reviews sounded good so we gave it a shot. BEST MOVE EVER! Our server Quintin was super and very attentive to our every need. We started with the kielbassa dip which is amazing. Our only complaint, they just need to put a couple more pieces of toast with it. I had the braised beef short ribs that fell apart at the touch of the fork and melted in your mouth. (I should add that I was expecting a rib bone but what I got was a huge piece of all meat.) My wife had the crab cake and it was delicious as well. Again, the portion size was awesome. Even though we were stuffed, we had to try the bananas foster bread pudding (with ice cream of course, see picture). Decadent would be an understatement. Even though this place is over an hour away, we will be back.

Overall it isn’t bad. The atmosphere and decor is great. The staff were also very friendly. Also, high marks for a toilet in an actual room for privacy! That all being said, $72 for a sandwich, salad, two sides, and a soda is a bit cray. Then tip on top. Beverages were also, not flavored correctly. Tasted like seltzer water with a splash of syrup. Thankfully, they did have that toilet room because the food lived up to establishment’s name and came out like the devil later. If you want to try a German style tavern, go for it. I would just set expectations, go on your pay day, and make sure you are going straight home afterwards.
