17 Cozy Philly Restaurants and Bars With Fireplaces | Eater Philly

"Devil’s Alley is known for its upstairs fireplace that’s perfect for indoor dining during this season. Inside this Center City bar, the fireplace is huge and wood-burning." - Ernest Owens

Where To Eat And Drink During A Snowstorm

"There are a lot of bars and restaurants with fireplaces in Philly, but Devil’s Den, a beer bar in East Passyunk with some pretty good bar food, has a double-sided fireplace. This means that no matter where you choose to hang your snow-covered jacket and Lenny Kravitz-sized scarf, you’ll thaw pretty quickly." - sydney mcelwee

I decided to pop out for a little lunch today and I went here. Now I came here for some wings because I read some good reviews about them. The wings was good at first then I noticed I got a headache out of nowhere. Idk how much sodium was on the dry rub but omg!!! Horrible! The wings itself was good and juicy. Also grabbed an old fashioned and it was sorry to say awful! All I taste was the maple syrup. I didn’t even taste the Bourbon.. The atmosphere was nice I did like the tree. Fast forward to the next day the wings flared up my acid reflux! Tums on deck. Sorry to say, but I will not be returning. Just the name itself is a little weary.

We popped in for brunch on Sunday, I remember liking the atmosphere when we came a few years back. The service was excellent, and ambiance perfectly chill for a nice brunch. I had the pancakes and chicken sausage & my husband enjoyed the burger. Everything was tasty. Thank you!

Google
It was suggested I go here. I was told they had good burgers. I had a burger with cheese, lettuce and tomato along with sweet potato fries and pomegranate juice. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was warm & inviting. The customer service was friendly and professional. I'll definitely be back. *The all gender restroom door doesn't lock.

Stopped in for a quick evening bite with a friend. They were very accommodating and we were able to sit upstairs. I had little ones with me and it was kid friendly. Nice regular and kids menu. I really enjoyed the jerk chicken tacos, so fresh. My friend had the Philly Cubano and it was huge! Very tasty, juicy and the bread was so delicious. The hand cut fries were good and a bucket was enough for two to share. Billy was an awesome server and made a top notch Arnold Palmer. I will definitely return to this Center City hidden gem.

Love this spot! Chill atmosphere. The bartenders are great. Anything with BbQ sauce on it is amazing! Buffalo chicken sandwich is awesome. Short Rib and Salmon dinners were great!

Google
We stopped by after the Philly Love Run for a much needed brunch. It wasn’t full and we had a nice table upstairs by the window. The bartender is awesome! He made a perfect spicy Bloody Mary and was funny and helpful. Thanks for making out lunch great!! The menu online isn’t exactly what they have (at least for brunch) but what we had hit the spot. The biscuits and gravy is a huge portion. Served with eggs and delicious crispy potatoes. My friend got the burrito sans tortilla. Also great. So glad we tried this place. Would definitely go back!

Google
Great drinks and okay food! My friend and I went for SIPS and left satisfied overall. The drinks were definitely the highlight and the sweet potato ribbon things were surprisingly good and fairly portioned for the low cost (we were expecting curly fries but the twists didn't disappoint!). I was disappointed with the wings because they didn't taste seasoned but the sauce definitely saved the experience. My friend also said the sliders were good. Additionally, the staff was friendly and the place itself didn't get too loud, despite it being pretty full in the middle of Happy Hour. Overall, I would definitely come back for the drinks and am curious to try some of the main menu items! If I could, I'd give this more of 3.5 instead of 4, but it leans more to 4 because everything else made up for the wings. #SIPS2023

Google
This place is perfect for relaxing after a long day. The beer is a great deal, the vibe is super chill, and the bartender is really friendly. The slider burger was also really good. Definitely a nice spot to hang out in the city.

Yelp
IM0* Amazing value in a comfortable, spacious venue. HERE is my new spot for drinks and bar bites in Rittenhouse/cc! - will you LOOK at the size of that bloody mary? No kaleidoscope tubes full of single large celery stalk surrounded large ice cubes here. Solid drink for $10. - draft beers including Guiness, Yards and Fiddlehead $7. Juengling $5. Wines for $8 and $10. - "alley" omelette. nicely cooked, with toast and bacon. $12. - burger WITH fries included ($14), add American cheese $3. ok, i'll do without cheese next time. unfortunately burger was not prepared by hand in the reestaurant, but I don't care! It's better than $35, without fries, which is Love and elsewhere! - ribs are the bomb! (not had today, but they are amazing) so, our brunch crew from church ribbed me a bit as (ha, see what i did there?) we walked toward Devil's Alley on Sunday, but I assured them. This is going to be great. Yes, you can find even more valuable spots, but this one is right on Chestnut, and you can get LIT, not drive, AND your credit card won't be on fire when you leave. a trip to the toilet takes you through the kitchen, and you can wave at the cooks making your food. service is attentive and friendly, even eager! inflation meter ZERO. that means the prices here are AWESOME. exactly what I want to pay. What i expect to pay. I realize that by posting this, as I have for some of the other "value" spots in the neighborhood, they hear about it, and realize they can raise prices. I hope not. The value here is great. see apple maps or maps.apple.com for my pics (omelette and Nov 2024 menus)

Yelp
Love walking in a random place and being delighted Devils Alley was around the corner from my hotel so I gave it a try. Was not disappointed! Had the 1/2 grilled chicken dry rub style and was awesome, juicy and tasty. Cole slaw(which is a tell for me) fresh and made daily! Hats off to Jules the bartender, very hospitable and made my meal that more enjoyable!

Yelp
The food was fresh and the service was quick, attentive and pleasant. The atmosphere was very chill, music not too loud, the fireplace charming. The server recommended the cornbread and said after we had it we'd be ordering it any time we're back and I think that might be true.

Yelp
I've made a handful of visits to Devil's Alley after our group workout on Saturday mornings. Sometimes it is just two of us, but occasionally we've come in a a small group. We've never had an issue getting a table and always enjoyed our experience. Given our workout timing, we've only visited for brunch. I'd rank their bloody mary in the middle of the pack - still good enough to enjoy, sometimes a bit spicy, but certainly better out there. However, I still order it every time, so that should tell you it is good enough. I've personally had the Bread Puddling French Toast (good but a bit heavy), their breakfast tacos and burritos (tasty), and their eggs benedict (average). Nothing has every been on the extremes (best ever nor worse ever), which makes everything a safe bet. Portions are always fair. Service is solid. We usually get there shortly after opening and they might have to spread their attention to opening activities. They won't leave you hanging but if you are in urgent need of a water refill, be prepared to wait a minute or two. Overall, I feel we will continue to visit Devil's Alley for brunch. I might even explore them outside of brunch hours at one more. Enjoy!

Yelp
Came here after seeing a 4:30pm show at The Helium Comedy Club around the corner. Easy drinks and an order of dry rub wings is always a must. The bartenders Marlena & Jackson were both great and kept everything fun. Thank you

Haley H.

Yelp
This place is so amazing!! They sat us even before the were open for brunch. Amazing service and amazing food. They are really nice and kind. Would recommend for sure.

Yelp
Meh, happy hour menu is a scam. We got the nachos and fries and couldn't stay beyond that.
google avatar

Yelp
Very average food, slightly below average service, "meh" cocktails, but adorable themed decor inside (live trees, a "hell" ambiance with red lights and portraits of satan, enjoyable mix of music). Came at 1630 on a Saturday, they were not busy at all, yet our waitress essentially ignored my friend and I after giving us our appetizers, so it was difficult to get her attention for the drinks we ordered. After we finally asked her and she apologized for forgetting, they didn't come out until after our mains. As for the food, I would highly recommend the chicken and ribs combo- the chicken was cooked PERFECTLY and so moist, but I got the dry rub (instead of the bbq) topping, and man, I don't think the chef added a single grain of salt. Very bland flavor-wise, had to hunt down waiters again for salt/pepper/hot sauce as a topping. The grilled veggies it came with were quite wonderful, however- zucchini, mushrooms, and onions (I got sans tomato). As for the cocktails, both tasted somewhat watered down with no obvious, potent flavors. Probably wouldn't return, but the experience was decent enough that you can level it up by requesting seasonings right off the bat and pre-gaming so when your drinks take 20 mins to arrive you're prepared.

Yelp
Visited here the first weekend on May. While we were initially very pleased with everything we ordered (breakfast burrito and chorizo burger), it became clear we would not be coming back as we returned home with FOOD POISONING.

Yelp
Pretty nice atmosphere in here, and it's on 2 floors as well with a nice open area. Drinks are a bit on the pricier side. Food quality is really good, the wings just slide off the bone with a tasty dry rub. Nice casual spot to meet and have some food and drink.

Yelp
The food was good. The service was great. The ambiance was low key. There is a lot of variety in the menu.

Yelp
Devil's Alley is the go to bar in Philadelphia. I got myself a red wine with quesadilla. Both tasted average. The waitress mentioned how the mac and cheese was a favorite amongst people so I ended up getting that. I totally recommend the mac and cheese. It had an amazing crispy cracker crumble to the top. I'll definitely be back another night!

Yelp
We went here for happy hour after trying a different restaurant that was rude and not very accommodating. We loved it here! Would definitely come back if we are ever in town again. The spiced pear sangria was our favorite drink. The second floor bar had a great vibe and even has windows that were open for the nice weather.

Yelp
Devil's Alley never disappoints. I have been here twice recently on a weekend for a late lunch -- it's usually not crowded around 4pm on a Saturday and the service is spot on. I was actually surprised I didn't have a review already for this place, but sometimes I guess the food coma takes over and you forget! Most recently I came here with a group of 6 women trying to get a late lunch before an evening of bachelorette festivities. No alcohol for this meal, but in the past I have appreciated the cocktails and beer menu here. My friends ordered a variety of things: salads, quesadilla, cheese steak egg roll, etc. but I had to try the wings. In the past I have gotten burgers or the lovely fried green tomato grilled cheese (which admittedly is a little greasy and not what I wanted that day). I ordered the BBQ style wings and they were divine. It wasn't a breaded/fried wing, more like a nicely grilled/charred wing. The cucumber salad on the side was a lovely digestif. The only problem we encountered is one of our party wanted the quesadillas and the server asked if she wanted a half portion or a full portion. It was kind of confusing hearing the explanation, but ultimately she said to just give her whatever it is on the menu. The server interpreted this as the "full" portion, which we later found out on the bill was double the appetizer size. I guess maybe folks have complained about the quesadilla being small in the past and so perhaps he felt like he needed to offer the opportunity to double it? Considering we finished the quesadilla and the rest of our meals, we ultimately didn't feel any type of way about paying for food we ate but still pointed it out to him that it was confusing and the "half" portion (i.e. the standard on-the-menu size) would have been fine. Outside of that, a good experience as always!

Yelp
Service was friendly and food came out quickly. Their french fries are yummy. We had some fried green tomatoes, but they were piled with melted cheese and tomato type pasta sauce. It felt more like a chicken parm than fried green tomatoes. Too much sauce and took away the crunch. I also ordered blackened fish tacos. There was something off in seasoning, so I had to send back (I haven't done that in well over 7 years). I ordered pulled pork sliders instead. They definitely need more seasoning or some type of sauce. All in all, food was okay. The ambiance was cool, comfortable, and the trees and plants made it feel like I was in a courtyard. Very cool.

Yelp
I love the burgers and fried green tomato chicken sandwich! Great service from wonderful waitstaff and if you want the full Devil's Alley experience, walk down to the basement restroom

Chris M.

Yelp
On a Sunday at 2pm. They have a different menu so the chicken sandwich I was looking for from yelp pics wasn't there. I got the buffalo chicken sandwich. Fries were killer. The chicken breast was coated and in buffalo sauce. It was sliced thin on the bun which made it a hot mess, but very good. I'd probably try something different next time though. The Colorado transplant bartender was great. I just got iced tea, but he kept it full and was just chatty enough without being too much. I will definitely return.
google avatar

Yelp
Great happy hour specials and solid food make Devil's Alley a worthy stop if you're in/near Rittenhouse Sq. They have two levels and a nice outdoor area. We have visited a few times and eaten just about all the appetizers, there are no duds in the menu at all!

Joel A.

Yelp
Great food, fantastic service and atmosphere. The burgers and pulled pork came highly recommended, and they did not disappoint

Yelp
I've been here a few times and most recently we came for a weekday lunch with a big group of coworkers. We got seated on the 2nd floor next to the big front windows - it was quiet being just us up there and had a nice private party kind of feel. I ordered the FGT (fried green tomato) grilled cheese which I though was so unique. There was an option to add on fries or a salad for extra but I declined, and glad I did because when the sandwich came out I was like Woah - it was huge! The bread was super crispy and had some fried cheese on top too I believe! As a vegetarian I got it without bacon which wasn't a problem (thanks!!) but it was still a hefty portion of cheesy fried goodness (a little greasy and saucy so extra napkins were needed)! I could only finish half and got the rest to go. Would def get again! My coworkers got quesadillas, salads, tacos and drinks- everything looked great! The server was very nice and gave us separate checks (thanks!!).

Yelp
Jasmin our waitress was the best! We came for happy hour. Prices are average food is delicious. Flavors are bold and flavorful. The best dish of the night was the Fried Green Tomato grilled cheese. Parking is rough since it's in a one way street in Philly cute decor and the bar upstairs is nice. Love the skylight in the main dining room.

Yelp
First time trying this spot and omg it was so good. Definitely will be going back here because it was so good. We did also get a side of Mac and cheese that wasn't that great but our main dishes were so good that we didn't even care that the Mac and cheese wasn't good.
google avatar

Ryan G.

Yelp
Nice bar with unique decor. There is a wood burning fireplace on the second floor and it feels cozy. Just got drinks but I would like to come back for food

Yelp
Splendid as always. The Devil's Alley has quickly become one of my favorite spots. I love the food and the ambience. I've been here several times before and enjoyed it each time. My last visit was the most memorable. I've been in cooped up in the house for so long I was suffering from cabin fever. Quarantine has not been friendly to a depressive adventurous foodie. Finally, they started lifting the ban for indoor dining in Philly! My boyfriend surprised me with a date night and this is the spot he chose. What made this date so memorable was that we were the only ones dining in, so it felt like it was just for me. The food was fresh and delicious. The manager was nice enough to come up to us and say hi. She explained to us that they were still transitioning back into dine in and apologized for giving us plastic-ware, but I much prefer it rather than regular utensils anyway. Love it here!

Stephanie S.

Yelp
The $24.00 one-half rack of ribs plate is huge, fresh and juicy. Sides are wonderfully prepared. Highly recommend!!

Yelp
This place is a go to for a cheap bite if you're craving a burger or chili. Their service is consistently slow, and I've been here probably half a dozen times. I do like their French fries a lot, and I like the bi-level design of the place with the plants. Overall, this place is a place to go if you're looking for a hungover brunch or a cheap dinner with friends. I would not recommend it for a place to bring your parents or a serious date.

Lucas J.

Yelp
The food at this place is so damn good. It changed my life and instantly became my favorite go to restaurant in Philly. Our waiter delivered superb service and was extremely welcoming and outgoing. The ambiance was so nice and relaxing. My fiancé suggested trying to rent the place out for our wedding reception. 100/10 recommend. Get the brisket grilled cheese
google avatar

Devin L.

Yelp
Stopped in for a late dinner. Really nice looking bar/restaurant. They also had a nice outdoor dining area. The service was great and pretty quick. I was pretty happy that I was able to grab a Miller High Life. It's my favorite major brewery beer. They have cans, pretty good. I got the fried green tomato grilled cheese. The sandwich was very big. Delicious thick bread, with rich, creamy cheddar, arugula and a nice big fried green tomato. It was filling and completely delicious. Great place, good service and delicious food.

Yelp
I've visited this place on the whim. When you are going into Center City Philadelphia it's easier to find parking around 20th and Chestnut instead of 13th and Chestnut. There are a lot of options in this area but the name Devils Alley is tempting. This place is tempting for all the right reasons. It was easy to make a reservation once I arrived I was promptly greeted and seated by the host, the food was plentiful as well as good. Before dining I viewed the menu online. I had in my mind made up on what I would like to try and I was glad I did. I went with the orange crush brunch cocktail and the mixed griddle for my entrée. I enjoyed both items immensely. With the mix griddle you get one large buttermilk pancake, one large slice of perfectly cooked French toast, two scrambled eggs, roasted potatoes and bacon two slices. This for the very fair price tag of $12. I was impressed by the items not only in the amount you receive but the presentation and the taste. I will return in the very near future to try lunch then dinner.
google avatar

Joe H.

Yelp
I don't need a fancy restaurant. All I need is good service and really good food. This place is always given me both. Love the burgers. Love the fries.
google avatar

Allison H.

Yelp
The food was great. Had the quesadillas were delish. The service was very slow. Not sure of the reason. That is short staffed, just slow or both. Having said that when we were finally served they were apologetic. The food was still slow getting to us. The service time being the reason for only 3 stars. We were not rushed to leave and when asked if they would like us to leave said no. However the bathrooms were locked so maybe that was their polite way of telling us to go home. We weren't the last to leave but near last. Would recommend for a beer and a bite to eat with friends.
google avatar

Kacie L.

Yelp
The staff was so friendly and helpful and their chorizo burger was so yummy; it was a little salty but I subbed the bacon out for avocado, free of charge, and I'm glad I did. It's yolk-y so pretty messy but def worth it. The blackberry lemonade was good too! Just a bit strong. My friend got beer battered onion rings which were surprisingly good (I'm not a fan of onion rings but I enjoyed them) and the jerk chicken tacos which she said was good but the chicken was slightly dry. Only thing is that the food took a while but it wasn't too big of a deal!! Beautiful, cute space!
google avatar

Nonye M.

Yelp
Devil's Alley is the definition of solid. No, it will not be the culinary experience of a lifetime, but the food is always tasty, the service is generally fast, the portions are generous, and outside of peak weekend hours you rarely need a reservation. As for what to eat, I've always been a fan of their nachos and mahi mahi tacos. But as suggested above, I've personally never had a terrible meal at Devil's Alley and have never been with anyone who has. There is downstairs seating in addition to an upstairs bar with the window seats providing a nice view of Chestnut Street. While I do quite like the food at Devil's Alley, I've never particularly cared for their drinks---the cocktails always taste a bit mixer-y to me. But as with everything else on the menu, the cocktails are not very expensive, so they are satisfactory for when you just want a little bit of alcohol to go with your meal. All in all, Devil's Alley is a solid choice if you're looking for a filling meal without a ridiculous wait.
google avatar

Komal R.

Yelp
This review is for their brunch - they have limited selection but is okay and probably cheaper than other places that I really like. Much better than their drinks. Portion sizes are HUGE - which is not uncommon in the states. The Chorizo Quesadilla is good, I just wish they had put less cheese in it. The bread pudding is delicious though and they change flavors every week. Overall, it was more food than I could eat but I wasn't disappointed. Might come back again for the bread pudding.

Yelp
One of my favorite restaurants and bars in the city, great location and awesome for going to events especially larger parties. Great staff, even better food 10/10
google avatar

Fredrica A.

Yelp
I would normally not order tacos from an American bar, but our waiter suggested the tacos as they're a popular treat; so I ordered the Jerk tacos. I was not hesitant however to pair it with a couple of the $6 Monday margaritas. The jerk tacos were surprisingly good, the chicken was perfectly seasoned and the sweetness of the pineapple went really great with the jerk seasoning. It comes with 3 tacos and was enough for me to get full. The margaritas were sweet, but also packed a punch. Our waiter was extremely friendly and did a great job of being attentive. Highly recommend!

Yelp
I feel this place is decent. I walk past here frequently when I'm around 19th and Chestnut. Decided to have lunch with a friend here last Friday. We were seated upstairs. I like the ambience. They have several different areas to eat. Unfortunately everything else was underwhelming for me. Burger was just ok at best and the service was pretty slow even though it wasn't busy. They didn't check on my drink refill at all. Most likely wouldn't come back but you never know.

Yelp
We were really looking forward to trying this place out during our last trip into the city. Maybe it was an off night for them (it was a Sunday night). The service in particular was sub par. When we got seated, it took a while for the server to make it to our table (and it wasn't crowded). And when he did stop by, he didn't introduce himself or welcome us....he said "are you ready to order?" I'd expect that kind of service at a fast food place, but not at a well rated gastro pub. Then when he brought beers for two of us, it took about 5-10 minutes for him to bring out the two cocktails for the other guests. Also, the place was ridiculously hot inside. I don't know if it was part of the "devil" theme, or if the AC was just out. But we were sweating throughout the meal, which was around 5-6 pm. There was actually an elderly guy across the restaurant from us that had his daughter fanning him and putting ice packs on him! Yes, it was that hot! I will say, my food was great! I had the Philly Cuban sandwich, which was served on a Philly soft pretzel. Very imaginative and tasty! They had some good beers to choose from, and the cocktails looked creative. Loved the decor as well. The kitchen was open and could be seen from the tables. They have outdoor seating and a 2nd floor which we didn't check out. Hope they invest in a better AC system and work on improving their service. If it wasn't for this, I'd be giving it a 4 or 5 star rating.

Missy E.

Yelp
Don't waste your time! Food was subpar and serviced was horrible. We waited over 30 minutes for the waitress to take our order, that was the only time we ever saw her until she brought the check. It was during a weekday during lunch. The host took our drink orders and a runner brought the food. Food was not worth it. All four of us were not impressed with what we got. In fact, 3 of us didn't even eat half of our meals. Ordered a Philly Cuban and when I asked the waitress why it wasn't on the pretzel bun as advertised on the menu, she said they changed it and the menu reflects it but all four of us must have gotten old menus. The fried green tomatoes were sad. Don't bother, it's not worth it here.

Yelp
We loved this place. We were in Philly for an art show for the weekend and ate here 3 times. Our favorite was the Buffalo chicken sandwich!

Yelp
So devil's alley is always a 3-4 star experience for me! Which is still great and solid especially if you're looking for decently priced drinks in center city, with cool vibes/ambience, and isn't particularly too overcrowded compared to other bars. I have been here for happy hours, Sunday football for a drink, and also brunch. I would consider their happy hours 4 stars, a little bit more crowded but I love their scene. Their upstairs bar area is small but is right against a huge window (great on sunny days) with plants. It's not upscale but not downscale either, just very chill. All the bartenders are friendly. Brunch was a 3 star experience and for one reason. I just didn't enjoy their Bloody Mary. I asked for a traditional Bloody Mary (instead of their special ~chipotle bloody~). I received it, and it was not made with horseradish/hot-sauce, but chipotle sauce. My boyfriend got the chipotle bloody and it was essentially just a spicier version of my drink (VERY spicy, almost a potent strength). Overall the food was great and so was the service! I just wished they told me that they don't make traditional bloody's.

Yelp
The Sonesta (Fran) recommended this place to us and made the reservation for our party of 10 for dinner on a Saturday night. We were given a private table upstairs. Our table was ready when we arrived and our server and everyone running food to us was excellent. Our food orders came out fast, correct, and hot. Everything was well seasoned and excellent. Best meal of my weekend trip. I had a bacon cheeseburger and sweet potato fries. I do not recommend the iced tea if you drink it plain. It was a strong brew and I'm not sure sugar would have helped it. I stuck to water.

Cy S.

Yelp
They have the Best Buffalo chicken sandwich in the city and their sweet potato fries are A1.

Yelp
I was very pleasantly surprised by the lunch menu at Devil's Alley, as I had only been here for happy hour previously. For bar food, it was delicious. We started with the pierogies and fried green tomatoes as appetizers. They were both great - I was especially impressed with the pierogies as I had recently traveled to Poland. However, there were only three pierogies to the order... for $9 per plate, I definitely expected there to be at least six. I got the Surf N' Turf burger as my entree, which is an angus burger topped with a large crab cake. All of the burgers (and sandwiches) come with your choice of a side - I especially appreciated the option of old bay fries as a native Marylander, and the sweet potato fries were especially well done. The burger itself was juicy, flavorful, and paired perfectly with the crab meat. I will say that the service was fairly slow (although we loved our waiter, he was so enthusiastic) and it looked like some of the entrees were hit or miss. I was very happy with my burger, but the tacos looked tiny. I really enjoyed the atmosphere upstairs: there was plenty of natural light and it was not too loud. Rumor has it that the space used to be an alley, so the exposed pipes and walls are a nice touch to the overall feel of the restaurant/bar!

Yelp
Salmon burger tasted like salmon, just could have used a little more flavor (like more of the slaw topping) and the fries also needed more flavor so I doused them in salt. My friend reported that the surf and turf burger was fine but he could barely taste the crab cakes over the burger taste. Probably best to stick to a standard burger. The pickles were huge, crisp and perfect Easy to get a table for 5. Service was good once our order was actually taken but it took a while for the waiter to come over after dropping off water - and there wasn't anyone else there to even request his attention.

Yelp
Decent craft beer selection. Indoor or outdoor dining. Food was kinda "meh" for me. It just felt like everything could use a nudge in the right direction. Food, service, cleanliness. None of it was terrible but it was borderline. With this excellent location, this could be a very cool spot with a little enthusiasm from the manager or owner.

Yelp
Overall, the food is very yummy and extremely filling. Pretty standard bar food, I would come back here. I went here with a group of coworkers for lunch and had a great time. My friend suggested the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich which was (duh) really delicious and amazing (our waiter mentioned it was the top-selling menu item). We also had the pierogis and fried green tomatoes (yum), which were both good (the pierogis only had 3 to a whole order which was disappointing so we had to order extra). Our waiter was very personable and was very attentive to us even though the food came out a little slower than we'd expected. He was still very focused on making sure we had everything we needed.
