Devil’s Cut

Me and my friend happened to find this place while we were exploring Madrid. It caught our eye first based on looks, as it looked cool in atmosphere. We noted it as a place to check out and we are so glad we did and went back to try it. Upon entering, we received a small glass of a Sherry Wine blend which the bar is based around. It was delicious! We each ordered drinks, one from the seasonal menu and one of the classics. They were great in both appearance and taste. Staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. And we were excited to hear about a sister location in NYC which we cannot wait to try out. Thank you to our bartenders and Devils Cut!

Every time I visit Madrid, I always drop by this place. Yes, the drinks are phenomenal. Yes, the vibe is great. But the most important is the team here is an ABSOLUTE BANGER. The nicest people, the most genuine team possibly in Madrid. Every time I come, there’s always something new on the table to discover. It’s truly a bar that presents something new and fresh to the Madrid’s already packed and competitive nightlife and bar scene. I can’t wait to see what else they have in store for the many years to come!

I discovered this place while wandering in the city, and I’m so glad I did. what an amazing find! I then dived into reading about Shingo Gokan and his many awards, and the experience truly lived up to the hype. I had the best cocktail of my life, crafted by Miguel (a real master!). The food was excellent, and they even welcome you with a very special drink. Thank you, Iñaki and Miguel, for the warm welcome. This spot is now officially on my top list!

I went here twice on a weekend in Madrid, it was a nice experience to have and also they have a wide variety of cocktail recipes, it was fantastic. They also serve some nice complementary drink as a seasonal drink (white sherry wine which was divine). I would gladly return here again and drink some of the other cocktails there. I got one of the signature drinks the Jamon iberico fashioned and the other one was smoke in your eyes. Both tasted delicious! Drinks made by: Javier, Nestor and Diego(all bartenders) makes a delicious devilishly delightyful drinks! Congrats on making 1 year and to many more!

Best bar in Madrid! If you are in Madrid, you need to visit this bar. They will welcome you with a glass of their homemade vermouth, and their menu is so creative, fun and delicious. Miguel welcomes us and served us drinks at the bar - he was so friendly, knowledgeable about the cocktails and the history of the bar and the owner’s history. We felt right at home the moment we walked in. Th next day we tried another bar and it fell so short compared to Devils Cut, we had to come back for more. We can’t wait to visit Madrid again and be back here! Thank you, Miguel, for the AMAZING experience!

Atmosphere: 9/10
Located in Madrid’s Barrio de las Letras / Centro. Music is funky and at a good volume. Vibe is upscale-casual, perfectly in tune with Madrid’s energy. You clearly notice Shingo’s touch here—like in all his bars worldwide, everything is up to a high standard and quality, with his typical design elements. Backbar is nice, and seating is excellent with plenty of bar spots and group tables. Central, easy to walk to. Drinks: 9.5/10

Theme takes inspiration from Angel’s Share. Menu is high quality and well structured. Selection is strong. Flavors are spot on—exactly what you’d expect from a Shingo Gokan bar. Coasters only for certain glass shapes. Glassware is above average. Garnish is creative and well thought-out. Presentation, including ice, is very good. Service: 9/10
Water on arrival, plus a complimentary welcome drink/snack. Team is friendly, professional, and attentive. No towels. Reservations not required. Prices are slightly above average.

This is an amazing atmosphere! The bartenders were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. My husband and I loved it so much we came twice while on our honeymoon to Madrid.

Tapas, Cocktails and Service are exceptional with very interesting twists between traditional Spanish recipes with a Japanese influence. Javi was my bartender who was very warm, gracious and will give you the historical and regional backgrounds of the world class cocktails which he makes for you.
