Cappuccinos were easy and smooth. Service was delightful. Space was busy, full of laptops and conference calls. If you can find a seat, it’s a nice spot to sit and chat.

Beautiful atmosphere & great coffee. Always buzzing with plenty of seating and good WiFi. Good place to work from for a bit - it’s loud so don’t plan to take any calls from here - but great to check emails and treat yourself to a coffee and a pastry. Also love that there is honey syrup, a filtered water station, and bathrooms.

This is literally, the FRIENDLIEST coffee shop in ALL of NYC! AND their coffee tastes incredible (doesn't taste like a typical American coffee shop, but more like Australian coffee). AND they know how to make a flat white! I met Nick, Raro, and Josh and honestly they are the most polite staff you could ever ask to interact with. They want to make sure you have a great experience, great day, and they nicely try to upsell every customer (pastry anyone?!)! This is my new favorite coffee shop in all of Manhattan. Thanks Devo Team!!!! PS: I quite often get headaches from subpar coffee, but I had no such experience at Devocion! So thankful for the friendly team and delightful coffee! (and OMG I'm so impressed with the swan in my coffee!!)

Cute coffee shop around Union Square. I got their rosemary and agave latte which was very unusual but I liked it! They have lots of seatings but it does get crowded.

The PERFECT place to work from with the most awesome hot chocolate and double chocolate chip cookie. This place is stunning but also comfy. Greenery hangs from the walls making it almost tranquil even though it's fairly loud with the bustling of young professionals. The person who helped me at the counter was amazing. Sensing I was coming in to work they asked if I needed WiFi. This is important because you need your receipt to log in to their network. Your receipt will have a code which allows access. The coffee sitch here is lost on me. Just know it looks like they take it very serious. See pics for what I'm talking about because I have know idea what they are doing here. Freshly ground coffee maybe? Great to know this spot

Came here early on a Saturday morning and managed to pass by the storefront twice because it was so small and of nearby construction obscuring it. Inside, the decor is dark and chic, and there's quite a bit of seating, though it was all full. The wait for ordering as well as for the drink was short. I got the Papaya Soursop, Gooseberry, Andean Lime and Lemon Verbena Aromatica. It was piping hot and fragrant, which was a nice pick-me-up for the cold morning. It didn't particularly wow me -- the flavors were not that distinct and just tasted generally fruity and floral. As someone that's not a coffee person and relies heavily on non-coffee options, I'd maybe go somewhere else for a morning drink. It was a cute shop, though!

I really enjoy ordering cortados to really enjoy the flavor of their coffees. They also have some small pastries but this is mostly a place to enjoy coffee. If you are looking for baked goods there's a pain quotidien nearby that might be better

Lovely cofee shop. Love the ambiance, the plants, the couch, the layout, and the vibe of this place. Customers were either socializing, or working on something in their laptops. Would definitely come back again this place in the future for chill and enjoy the vibe

Cold brew wasn't my favorite... Nice atmosphere for sure. I like it I just won't get the cold brew again.

My go-to coffee shop in NYC when I crave "quality" coffee. I am a black coffee drinker - pour-over, cold brew, or occasional Americano. Devoción always has the freshest beans that I can taste difference. Their green-to-cup timeline is as little as 10 days and average 30 days. I bought my bag of coffee on Dec 14 which left the origin on Nov 20 and got roasted on Dec 11. This bag was their holiday blend, so their usual Toro or Wild Forest bags seem to be more recently procured. I highly recommend Devocion for any coffee enthusiast and visitor of NYC to take this signature souvenir home as I believe they have the freshest coffee beans across the states.

Stopped here for some coffee and bread, ended up only getting coffee since they didn't have any savory options. We got a pour over - it was good! Hot coffee latte - was good enough. The milk was a bit too foamy for it to be a latte, kinda reminded me of a cappuccino. I liked the espresso though. There are many seats in the cafe and it gives off a comfy vibe.

The store was quite big but it was crowded nonetheless on the weekends. The warm ambiance and brick walls added lax vibes, although dim. The menu was very limited in flavored coffees, so the focus was on straight Colombia coffee. I had their Iced Latte w/ Pistachio Milk ($7). It went down smooth, although something left an interesting after taste I can't put my finger on what. Good to try once.

Great service, great coffee, great atmosphere. What else does one want? Whether you're a purest (e.g., espresso) or want more flair (flavored latte) Devoción hits home for all types of coffee lovers.

I've been wanting to try this coffee shop for quite some time because i heard the coffee is good and the inside is a nice place to sit and do work. Ambiance is pretty but it's alittle dim and very loud inside. Service is fast and the coffee is strong but good once you add some syrup!

Stopped by here on a early weekday morning, and the place was packed. No seats free, decent line, so definitely be ready to wait a bit! I got their special espresso in the cortado form, and it ended up being way more expensive than I expected (~10 dollars) cause I misread. When it says "5" next to the special, know that it means an extra 5 dollars on top of the cortado price. Oh well! The actual espresso was very very special. It had a super unique flavor, almost like a sour fermented honey. Never had anything like it, and the cortado was also poured well enough to let that base bean flavor to really shine. Will be back!

I really can't say enough good things about Devocion. Great coffee, amazing baristas, and the coziest location. It is the best (and honestly, mine and my husband's only) coffee shop in town. We are there once to twice daily (which sounds absurd, but really is accurate and makes for a really hard time traveling since we are inevitably great-coffee deprived and grumpy when we can't get our fix.) With all the amazing culinary options in the city, this may actually be our very favorite.

All the times, which is not very often that ai step foot in this coffee shop its always very busy! Must mean its that good! This location has a cozy feeling to it. It has comfy chairs and table and chairs where many people sit and do work. Great hang out spot to catch up with friends or to do work. I had their iced latte and it was good. I have had better but it was not the worst iced latte I have had.

The guava croissant has legendary status at Devoción and is invariably sold out. Short of waking up at the crack of dawn, I was determined to snag one. So about two weeks ago I visited this location and lo and behold there were croissants available. I also got a coffee and sat down to taste. Imagining that this was going to be a house made guava spread with ethereal taste but it resembled an ordinary guava jam that was not uniformly spread throughout the croissant. This was indeed disappointing. I ate it but felt that it was also a complete waste of money at $6.25 which is a lot of money for me. Far better to have eaten a plain croissant and patted each morsel with a ramekin filled with guava jam. I know that I won't be ordering this again. The coffee was fine and the interior lovely with the obligatory foliage that each of these cafes have.

Visiting NYC from SF. Love this coffee shop! Nice sleek but warm interior, lots of people so can get pretty loud and you may have to wait a bit for a table (or leather couch), but I was able to hold a nice conversation with a friend! I enjoyed my decaf iced mocha with oat milk. Would be back again the next time I'm in the area!

My friend and I were in the area looking for a place to grab a coffee and chat. She had been here before and had great things to say, which was enough to convince me - so off we went. I did some quick research and learned that there are a few Devoción locations throughout Manhattan and Brooklyn. Walking in, we were greeted by a large, rectangular space filled with tables and the ordering counter on the back wall. I was really surprised with how big it was - there were high ceilings, exposed brick, and windows in the back that invited a lot of natural light in. Tables were scattered throughout the space as well as a couple of couches - such coffeehouse. The menu was simple - they had a selection of hot and iced coffees, teas, and baked goods; the iced nitro cold brew looked good so I went with that. The coffee was good - smooth with food flavor, and it was nice and cold without being overpowered with ice. Was it noteworthy? I'm not too sure, but it wasn't bad. It was crowded when we got there, so seating was a problem - people were hovering over seats waiting for people to get up. I'm not about that so after we grabbed our coffees we headed out. Service was friendly, and overall I had a fine experience at Devoción. I wouldn't call it a place that sticks out (at least for me), but I wouldn't be against returning.

Devocion is a cute little coffee shop that is for coffee purists. While they have some baked goods and tea, the menu is really focused on coffee. There are a lot of tables in there, but on an early weekday afternoon, the place was absolutely packed with folks lingering around for tables to open up. It's a bit loud and bustling as a cafe for working, but there were a few people working on their laptops there.

Very noisy. Met a friend there and we could not talk above the music and the noise level so we left and went to another coffee place.

As some others have been saying, not the best service. The person behind the counter was looking at their phone while I was ordering and paying, and I felt a bit put off by it. But my iced latte came out fast and correct, so no harm done really. And also as I've seen other reviews say, this coffee is SMOOTH. I drink coffee just because I've gotten so used to it from college, and I'm not an expert at all, but I've definitely had coffees that leave such a bitter taste in your mouth and stings your tongue. Because this coffee was so smooth, I didn't taste a hint of bitterness at all. I'm a sweet coffee person-- I like the syrups and such, but Devocion does not offer any flavored syrups. They only have simple syrup and honey syrup that you can add on your own at a counter on the side. I honestly don't think I needed any syrup, like I definitely could have downed this as it was given to me. It had the just right ratio of milk to coffee. BUT I did end up adding some honey syrup just for flavor's sake, and I loved it. The vibe is also great-- there are a bunch of tables and couches inside and the design makes it feel very cozy. At around 1pm on a Monday it was decently full, with just one table open, but it wasn't very loud so I can imagine people coming in to do some work while sipping on a drink.

Spectacular iced oat latte that i could easily drink every morning if i had the means and lived closer by (phew!). rather busy and has a line throughout the day that rarely ever goes away, but it passes by at an acceptable pace. you can find a seat if you hover around long enough. coffee about average in price, $5.50 for a latte, $6.82 for substituted oat milk with tax. won't blow the bank but does make you question your life choices a bit after treating yourself to outside coffees the whole weekend. baristas here have that "dgaf" attitude that borders on the line between doing their business and also ignoring you entirely. doesn't bother me as much, due to the fact that the coffee is bomb and they're super busy. decor is super cozy and gives a little of that dark academia vibe. it wouldn't be a bad place to get some work done on a weekday--maybe not so much a weekend spot for catching up, etc due to the fact that the noise level can't really be controlled.

I went here because was looking for a nice coffee shop to try something different and met up with someone here. I liked the decor, the rustic look with the exposed brick and beautiful plants and lamps. I was surprised to find such a simple menu for such a popular spot. I guess this is a place to come if you like regular coffee and not speciality drinks or food. They had some pastries, I didn't see any sandwiches . I had the chocolate croissant and their special hot chocolate that was almost $8 and extremely small. I was surprised to see they won or were nominated for excellent hot chocolate. I think it was good but nothing unforgettable. The seating is limited and only one rest room and people don't really leave so good luck.

Mocha looks good but tastes horrible. I didn't taste any of the chocolate in it and the whole thing tasted like almond milk. When I went asked the barista about the taste, he was very annoyed and brushed me away so I don't ask for a remake. He said that's how their coffee tastes like. Whatever! It wasn't worth the price. It's unfortunate that this is a specialty coffee yet they don't even make a good mocha. I should have went to nearby places. The vibes are good otherwise and it's a nice place for meeting with friends. Another note, they don't have wifi on weekend and I wish I knew before standing in line and purchasing because I can't go anywhere else after that. Had to use my hot spot. Overall, very inconvenient and not so welcoming.

The staff is very helpful when you ask question about their menu. The drink was good. The place has a good study vibe to it. Due to its location it does get very packed

Finally got my hands on the guava cheese croissant after the third try. They were sold out the first two times, and I was determined to try their notorious guava cheese croissant that I waited a few hours at the cafe until they made a new batch. I tried the fresh outta oven guava cheese croissant, and the filling was still very hot. I would say, it may taste better to wait a bit and let the croissant filling cool down before trying. Overall, I liked the croissant, it was pretty flaky, however I didn't really like the filling as it was a bit too sweet for my liking. Compare to all the other croissant places I've been in nyc, I would give this a 7/10. It would be a 10/10 if It had less filling. Their chocolate croissant is really good tho! Highly recommend! I also tried their aromatic tea, which had dried fruit, was very refreshing, but very bland. Couldn't taste much of the tea at all. Great place to study! Especially since they have a restroom

I've been here a couple times now and the guava croissant is fantastic every time! I will say though, you have to go early in the day. It wasn't even noon yet and I got the last guava croissant of the day on my most recent visit. Seating can be hard to come by since folks are working/studying, and occupying tables for longer periods of time. It has a cozy atmosphere and great for a coffee pick me up! I enjoyed my latte and croissant.

Cozy shop serving up Colombian coffee and baked goods. Was quite packed on a Saturday morning. Seems like a popular spot for people to hangout and do work. Ordered a nitro cold brew which was creamy, had good flavor and was a good size. The guava and cheese croissant is an interesting concept but missed the mark a bit. There was no cheese flavor and a smidge of guava but the overall idea was nice since I love guava. Ambience is nice, they have a couple sofas and several tables but I'd get there on the earlier side if you're trying to snag a spot!

Refreshing cascara I came for the first time at noon and decided to try something new - so I ordered Cascara, a juice made of coffee bean seeds. The caffeine content is low if you are looking for a light caffeine beverage. The service was excellent, and the ambience was nice. Unfortunately, all the tables and seats were taken, so I could not stay inside for a while.

Amazing work space in the busy city! There is free wifi here, so many of the tables are usually taken with people working. The vibe is pretty quiet, but there are also some couches to sit at and chat with friends. The coffee was good!

My favorite coffee shop in the midtown/ flatiron area. Has the most amazing vibe inside and great cappuccinos. Definitely check it out if you're near by.

Among the very best in NYC this Colombian Coffee House in the Flat Iron District has a vibe that you feel in the hanging tropical plants and the salsa playing. The place smells of exotic coffee aroma and the flavor of their coffee is outstanding! Ample sitting room offered. I sank my tired body on one of the tufted leather couches until the coffee did its magic and I was back on my feet again! Can not wait to go back!

Extremely crowded and super hard to find seating. The coffee was good despite it taking 25 minutes to be ready after ordering.

I would come with a backup plan or come very early if you plan to come here on a weekend. I came on a Saturday afternoon with a friend and it was absolutely packed. We kind of loitered around and did laps around the interior for a couple minutes before getting very lucky with spotting a table that was just leaving. While we were there, we saw lots of people come in and subsequently leave because they couldn't find seating. The raspberry croissant here was pretty good, but not something I'd get again. The place has a cozy vibe. I believe there's a no wifi on weekends situation, but I came here with a book and it made for a nice reading spot. I'd definitely return and try their coffee next time.

Had a wonderfulAmericano here @ a Dulce de Leche bun. The vibe in this coffee house is very nice and inviting. Love their brick walls, brown leather sofas and live greenery. Their coffees are all Columbian, which I LOVE because those always are my favored flavors. You get a strong coffee with none of the bitter at the end. Additionally, they have many teas to choose from. Service was friendly and we didn't have to wait long for our drinks. I would definitely return when I'm back in NY.

This is just so stunning to walk into. It's maybe the most Ambient coffee shop I've ever been to. Guess what? The coffee is amazing too. Fresh. Smooth. Refined. I'd drink coffee even if I didn't want coffee. Bc this is that good.

I came here with my family. The coffee was pretty good. There were not a lot of options. Pastries looked good, but I didn't have any. There was some seating, but the day we went it was packed and we couldn't find space for the four of us. The service was a little rude or not very accommodating. They Forgot about my brother and weren't that nice about it. He waited over 10 minutes after the rest of us had our drinks. I don't think I'd go out of my way to come back here.

The place has a younger crowd vibe. All seating was packed tight and many people would enter then walk out of the shop. The coffee was good, but there was more to be desired when it comes to the service overall. The barista could care less about what he was serving and was flat out rude. The other worker at the redigster had no idea what drip coffee was being served. I asked for a cortado to drink in house and it was served in a to go cup - I restated it was to drink there he dumped the coffee in a glass and pounded it on the bar !!? Even though the coffe was distinct and bright - the employees made the experience yucky as did the surrounding work space (pizza boxs from lunch piled up on back counter ect. messy and unkept bar with loads of ground coffee the place felt neglected and dirty.

It's a cute coffee shop with lots of tables and seats, leather couches, brick walls, colombian music lightly playing overhead and quaint lighting. There's a beautiful garden/plant chandelier that brings some softness in a rather dark environment. The coffee is pretty good and fairly priced - the drip coffee about a 10 oz cup is $3.75. They also have some simple pastries like croissant, chocolate chip cookies, and brownies. I had the regular drip coffee and it's smooth, subtle and strong. They had guava croissants when I went and they were perfectly flaky and the guava jam was fantastic. The staff is very friendly and always smiling. All in all, if you need a good coffee place to study or do work or read a book, I would recommend this place and definitely plan on coming back.

Devoción is my favorite coffee in NYC by far! They take pride in their coffee quality and they serve their beans within 45 days of harvesting them. The ambiance is great and the baristas are knowledgeable and friendly. There are quite a few tables but most of the tables are just for two people so it's not a great spot to sit with a group of people. When you first walk in the tables might be all taken, but I've found that tables open up pretty regularly and I've always ended Ip with a seat. Note to my gluten free yelpers: No gluten free pastries. Make sure to stop by Devoción next time you're in the area, or stop by their Brooklyn location!

Solid coffee and great coffee beans! The baristas were super nice when I asked for recommendations on which beans to get to match my taste and I ended up loving the beans. The latte I got was also delicious and I loved the interior of the coffee shop. A great experience!

This is my first time coming to this cafe, while walking to the train I somehow stumbled in here; I love it. There is plenty of seating but if you like the small cozy, quite cafes you should probably venture elsewhere. The quality was amazing, you can taste the depth of the espresso paired with the milk that wasn't too thin nor was it too thick. Both danced in harmony with each other to make a splendid hot latte. The temperature was just right as well. In addition to the plenty seating, there was wifi which is slowly fading away in many cafes, not sure why. The bathroom was easy to access as well, I've been to some places where I have to go through a dungeon. Overview- Amazing taste, with just the right balances a latte needs. fast wifi that doesn't take a million years to load something up or send a text. With all this said, If you prefer to work/study in a quiet setting, look elsewhere. If you like the sound of a busy cafe, with the sound of voices left and right, this is just for you!

Have heard amazing things about Devocion so I was super excited to go, but unfortunately it did not live up to my expectations. The interior space was truly stunning, and there are outlets if you decide to work here. I ordered a cappuccino with almond milk and was disappointed by the espresso flavor! Maybe I came on a bad day and will need to try it again, but the coffee felt pretty bland and watered down with a bitter taste rather than a fragrant coffee one. Will post an update if I go back.

The coffee is good. The vibe is very hip. Anyone who cannot afford fast internet is here, though, nursing the good coffee drinks. All day.

This cafe is in a great location. I usually come here when I drop by the Flatiron area. Even though I like sweet lattes, I appreciate how they don't serve lattes with syrup. The coffee is still great and what I love about this place after its location is its ambiance. It's a relatively small space with brick walls and a nice plant decor hanging from the ceiling. There are always people who are working on their laptops, making it a great place to bring your work, but also a nice casual place to socialize. I think the cafe provides a balanced environment for both work and play. If you're in the area, would definitely recommend grabbing a coffee from here.

I don't know what their deal is. They can't do iced black coffee but they can do cold brew? The dulce de leche pastry is good, it reminds me of Dominique Ansel's DKA pastry Staff seem like they don't want to be there

Prettiest coffee shop ever! Love the interior, so cozy. The coffee was strong, and the wait wasn't too long for my drink. They have a decent number of seats if you want to work from the coffee shop.

Cute spot! Walked in after walking over Williamsburg bridge on a hot day! It was around noon- staff was nice and ambience is super cozy and beautiful with a huge skylight. My iced coffee was good and we loved the iced tea aromatics- super refreshing. Croissants were fresh off the pan and delicious. We loved the chocolate and guava cheese. I'd absolutely recommend if you're meeting a friend! Just note the line does get long.. so not ideal if you're in a huge rush.
