first time here and certainly not our last! Dewz is a swanky chic place and really nice bar area. the service was out of this world. we had WiLL as our waiter and he was Amazing and so knowledgeable with the menu and drinks. Will is fantastic at breaking down the menu for you, he'll talk to you about the dishes and he is excellent at describing the entrees and how it's prepared. my husband and I had the homemade fettuccine pastas, 3 choices for the pastas. I had the prawns and bacon and my husband had beef creamy mushrooms pasta, both was so fuking good! we did it all, wine , cocktails and flourless chocolate cake. we ate like kings and queens. old fashioned is limited, it's a special old fashioned and I highly recommend getting it now! before it's gone. let's just say old fashioned is fat wagyu washed, get Will as your waiter and he will explain the old fashioned to you. thank you WiLL for everything and all your knowledge of the menu and the restaurant's history.

5 star from start to finish and every aspect. Friendly staff. Awesome Bartender Mike, Jay chef came out and talked with us and made a great desert. Drink specials were such a great experience we had to repeat them. I have eaten in many many restaurants all over the states and this is clearly a top favorite for food and experience. Best restaurant of Modesto for sure though would be top in SF, LA or NYC!

I always enjoy going to this restaurant. They always have delicious food to eat. Their atmosphere was a little bit louder than I thought it should have been. I expected to have a quiet calm dinner. Instead there was another table full of like 5 or 6 people that were pretty loud. I hope next time the atmosphere is not as loud. It is a very nice restaurant. Their décor is very nice. The waitress was very nice explaining the specials twice. All the waiters and waitresses were very good attending to us. They were also very polite while attending to us. My salmon plate was very delicious. I enjoyed the sauce it had add. The bread with the garlic, Olive oil and vinegar was very tasty. I can't wait to dine in this restaurant again soon.

Stopped here for drinks and dessert after dinner and enjoyed both! The chocolate cake was too rich for me personally but not terrible overall. Great service and ambiance. I'd love to return to try an actual meal.

Dewz is a great place to have dinner while in Modesto. You would think there were not a lot of great places to dine in such a small town, but there is, and this is one. We got there a tad early and had no wait at all. The place is very pretty and it is kept in great shape. Even the bathrooms are nice. They have a full bar and a small wine list, which is nice. Make a reservation for weekends. The service is here is great. You are seated and someone is right with you. They check on you, but you are never rushed, and your food comes as ordered and hot. We love all their items. I love their simple salad, it is just a great way to start dinner. Their starter calamari is great with spicy marinara aioli lemon wedges. We also love their pork belly with Korean BBQ steamed bun cucumber jalapeno cilantro daikon-carrots, it is just great. I hate having to pay for bread and their bread is $12.00, to thank I say no thank you. Also, baked brie is also great, but very filling. It has strawberry preserve pickled strawberries pistachio walnut thyme blackberry and balsamic toasted focaccia bread--now I have bread. We love all their steaks, but especially their Prime tomahawk, pan roasted and served with seasonal vegetables, all sauces and your choice of starch. It is huge. The price depends on the size and what the market price is, You will love it. Get it rare. The prices are up there, but reasonable considering what all you get and the wonderful service. Have a great time.

I order the samon appetizer it was delicious. I also order the calmari with tarter sauce it was scrumptious. The ribeye medium rare was so yummy. It was my first time dining here. Overall my loved it pricey but worth it

Yelp
This was an outstanding experience. We went here for the first time on Valentines day this year. The food was excellent and we will definitely be back. I highly recommend this place. It has great atmosphere and great service. It is a great place to go and celebrate a special occasion. It is not a place to go if you are on a tight budget but they work hard to make it worth every penny.

Yelp
We made a reservation to have a nice dinner. Staff was super nice. The drink menu was limited. We had two appetizers one was good the other was okay. We got the pasta because it said homemade pasta, it was good. I just didn't feel like I would want to come back, the price to food flavor was a solid 3. It is very nice inside. I will try this place in a different season, maybe the menu will be different.

Yelp
5-Stars! Our favorite fine-dining restaurant in the Central Valley! We eat out around 3-4 times a week at various restaurants and discovered DEWZ a couple of months ago. What a find. You'll love the doting service, you'll appreciate the restaurant's ambiance, and even the server's sense of humor and knowledge about the menu. Ask them for their recommendations too. They'll mkae the perfect selection for you if it's your maiden voyage. We began with an appetizer of calimari. It was lightly battered and exquisite. Truly the best I've ever eaten. I then had Duck Three Ways and was amazingly impressed. Our friends had filet mignon and were pleasantly suprised at the quality and cut. Portions were adequate. Salad were an extra menu item and that was a little disappointing. $20-$30 entree's. Lunches, $5 less. Reasonable with a wonderful menu and outstanding service. Overall experience was 5/5. Couldn't have asked for more. Bon appetite!

Yelp
Service at Dewz never disappoints, food always enjoyable. Most importantly they always have a good cocktail list.

Yelp
Nice atmosphere, great food (the pork belly appetizer was delectable). Although we were seated relatively fast, it took 25 minutes before our server made it to the table. After that service was solid. The owner was there and acknowledged the delay and offered to buy our dessert (without a complaint from us). He even went so far as to have a brief conversation with us and make sure we enjoyed our experience. We'll be back.

Yelp
The menu is too tight-- with limited options and a rather limited protein selection. I was definitely missing the specials on this anniversary dinner. No secondary seasonal fish or pasta course that featured chicken or beef without mushrooms, which is a big allergy for people. My prawn pasta meal lacked flavor and salt and the sauce was not reduced. It was more like a broth. I also didn't enjoy the bread. It was very flavorless. Kind of reminded me of buttered and baked kings Hawaiian rolls-- not scratch artisan bread like last year. Downhill trending food in my opinion. The karage chicken bites were very good although the Chef acted like he was running out of sauce when he sauced them and left half of the plate completely dry and unseasoned. Tje New York was pricey at $80 but perfectly cooked and seasoned so kudos there. The service is very good and well timed-- I was just overall dissatisfied with the food. When you ask for salt and sauce you know the chef needs to step up his/her game. Revolving seasonal Specials are a MUST with a tight low option menu like this. Probably not on my list of "great restaurants" if this is the trend of 2025 Dewz.

Yelp
This place is great for a night out or special occasions. Service was amazing the food was better than I could've imagined. Highly recommend the Baked Brie. I hear it changes with the seasons so I look forward to trying the others.

Yelp
The service and food are top notch. This is one of the best restaurants I have been to in the greater Delta area, over the last 40 years. This is a good place for couples, especially. I look forward to going again.

Yelp
Wow, what a great experience! I had made reservations for a birthday dinner on a Friday night. I was a little nervous not knowing what to expect since it was my first time dinning at Dewz. For food, we ordered a Brie and two pasta dishes along with drinks. The Brie was simply amazing. I loved the combo with the strawberry puree and the pistachios. It had a creamy, sweet but crunchy taste to it. The pastas were good as well. Mine had a chili oil base to it whereas my bf had a beef broth to it. The drinks had the right amount of alcohol but not overly sweet either. Service was good too. Water was always constantly served and our waitress would explain everything that was in our dishes including options for desserts. One thing that caught me off guard is they will fold your napkin for you if you were to leave it sorta in a balled up status if you go use the bathroom. Def fancy fancy The interior has an intimate atmosphere to it with its dim lighting and dark furniture coloring. Good option to take someone for a special occasion, or maybe first date (if you want to give a great impression lol). This place is pricey so expect to spend somewhere near the 3 digits to 4 digits amount. My one take away is for what you are paying for, I kinda wished they gave a little complementary birthday cake. Even if it's bite sized. Overall, I would definitely come back again, only on a special occasion though.

Yelp
Came here to celebrate the SO's birthday and had a nice evening with lots of food at Dewz! Located off J Street and 15th (next to the Tru-Fitness Gym), Dewz Restaurant was one of my bookmarked restaurants to go to for fancy dinner, and they were legit! Curious, I learned that Dewz is named after the original owner's brother who passed away from leukemia (RIP). I made reservations through Yelp about a week prior and this restaurant in particular does require credit card information to confirm the reservation since they do charge a $ amount if you cancel 24 hours before. The inside is definitely intimate - dim lighting, maroon fabric walls lined against washed out brick and floor to ceiling mirrors gave the illusion of a larger space. Classic instrumental versions of modern day hits softly play (we caught a classicized Black n Yellow and What Was I Made For during our visit lol). We ordered: Dreamsicle cocktail - very cool presentation with the vaped-up bubble encasing the drink, and very fun to pop. It tasted just like an Orange Dream Machine from Jamba Juice. Super sweet and perfect for someone who doesn't really enjoy the taste of alcohol (me). Baked peach brie - tasted just like a breakfast parfait! Also came with super buttery focaccia 43 oz bone-in ribeye at Market Price of $256, we decided to top it with a blue cheese and bacon crust for an extra $5. Although I didn't really detect blue cheese, I liked the seasoned breadcrumbs that gave the meat a more herby flavor (didn't really need the horseradish, Calabrian chimichurri, or mushroom sauces that were included). The meat also came with veggies and our choice of side; we went with the miso-bacon mac and cheese. I can definitely taste the miso, super creamy and satisfying. Side of loaded thick-cut fries - probably my favorite side dish, the fries were more like Lincoln logs-thick and kept their crispiness even when drenched in cheese sauce and sprinkled with bacon Kind of disappointed that they do not do comped birthday desserts - not to sound entitled - just an fyi for any future patrons looking to celebrate with something like that. Heather waited on us throughout the night and she was amazing - our water cups were never empty and she explained everything on the menu. She was even kind to inform us that our main entrée usually takes an hour to prep (!!). We timed it ourselves and found that our steak and sides came approx. 1.5 hour after order placement. So make sure you account for that if you have other plans after dinner (no movies for us to catch, fortunately!) Overall, a really nice dinner for a special occasion. Definitely budget for this!

Yelp
This is hands down the best restaurant in Modesto. The sort of place that should have a Michelin star. Really thoughtful food. Glad to see Modesto has fine dining like this. (Loved the cabbage karrage especially.)

Yelp
Went for a wine pairing dinner and to secretly celebrate my wife's B-day. I say secretly because we did not announce it to our server or table. Upon arrival the host opens the door and greets you right away. Also when you leave, they open the door for you too. Service is AMAZING! From entering the restaurant and to the very end, they're great! Every pairing was flawless! 1. Heirloom tomatoe Caprese burrata with honey and white balsamic glaze 2. Lobster tail with Peach gastrique fennel & apple foam was an experience on its own and had my taste buds erupting. I want to return just for this dish. 3. Followed by a breaded baked Brie blackberry bacon agrodolce thyme hazelnut pickled mustard seed...yes there's no comas because that's how it tasted! 4. Then a full 6 oz Zabuton cooked to absolute medium rare perfection! 5. Finished with a Chocolate mouse with cocoa nibs and olive oil...light fluffy and the olive oil really brought out the cocoa Throughout the dinner the wait staff truly creates the experience by cleaning the table very often and checking up on you. Although we didn't announce it was a celebration for my wife's Bday the staff over heard it and brought out an additional birthday fruit desert dish with a candle to help make the evening unforgettable. One of the best experiences!

Yelp
Came here for an early Father's Day dinner. The ambiance was cozy. The wait staff are pleasant and knowledgeable. Since it was our first time there, we ordered several dishes from appetizer to salad, pasta and steak. It was on the pricey side but it was well worth it. The steak was perfectly cooked. The salad was fresh. The seafood pasta was al dente with a generous amount of seafood. They have a good selection of wines to pair with the dishes. There were only 2 of us and we still had enough leftover for another meal.

Yelp
I can not say enough about this place. First of all, we had gotten there slightly less than an hour from them closing. It wasn't busy. We were greeted right away. The place is pretty fancy with dim lighting. The menu had a few options that we both liked. It wasn't overwhelming with tons of options, which was a great thing. The service was impeccable. Staff was amazingly friendly and courteous. They explained the whole menu to us. Went over in detail about the chefs specials. We ordered the bone in ribeye with potato puree and mac n cheese, and for dessert, the table side creme brulee. They were very attentive to us. Our drinks were constantly refilled, and they kept us updated about when our orders would be ready. When the food came out, the presentation was awesome. The taste was delicious. They had quality meats, sauces, and sides. It was absolutely amazing. By this time, it had already passed their closing time, which I hate to be that couple making others work late. But we also weren't the only party that was there. They still offered us dessert. Explained each item again. We tried the creme brulee that was prepared table side. Again, that was amazing. During this whole time, we had different servers checking up on us, and one gentleman even took the time to explain the history of the background, as well as the source of their quality meats and what makes them unique. Overall, it was a great experience and a fantastic meal. We went when it wasn't busy so there was a lot of parking available. However, this is in downtown so I suspect during normal hours, parking might be more scarce. I will definitely be returning as I heard their cocktails are even more impressive.

Yelp
I'm incredibly disappointed and saddened by the lack of compassion I experienced at Dewz. I had been looking forward to celebrating the holidays with friends there, but I had to cancel my reservation just 4 hours in advance because of an unexpected medical emergency involving my ailing mother-in-law. When I called to explain the situation, I was met with a curt response: "Rules are rules." Despite my circumstances, they still charged me a $100 fee. During the holidays--a time that's supposed to be about kindness and understanding--this response felt especially disheartening. Life happens, and I canceled as soon as I was made aware of my mother-in-law's diagnosis. A little compassion could have gone a long way. Instead, I'm left feeling like this restaurant values their policies more than their patrons.

Gary S.

Yelp
We have been coming to Dewz since shortly after the original owners opened and have had many delicious meals from both the old and the new crew. But I do think that they may have lost their minds. The food remains good and the service excellent, but they are extremely overpriced for the Modesto market. They are easily the most expensive in town, but sadly, not even close to having the best food. Heck, the last time we were there they had $75 TACOS on the menu. I asked what made these tacos so special and all the server could tell us was that they were delicious pork belly tacos. Hmmm... I don't mind paying for a good meal experience, but if we're in Modesto and paying over $1K for a party of 4, you need to leave me impressed with the experience. Sadly, that is not the case these days.

Yelp
I cannot say enough good things about this place! This review has been a long time coming. My boyfriend took me here for my birthday. He wanted to make it special, so he had arranged with the manager to come early WHEN THE RESTAURANT WAS CLOSED (they opened just to let him set up my birthday surprise!!). He came by and picked me up, and when we got to the restaurant, they had presents waiting for me on the table. But the foood....The entire experience was fantastic! One of the best meals I've ever had! We had the tomahawk, which they encrusted with gold flakes. We got some of the sides and the chef even sent out some extra ones for us to sample because it was my birthday. The manager (? ) - I forget his name but he had long red hair - worked so hard, and did so much, to make this the absolute best experience for me. The service was amazing, and all the extra touches they did made this a birthday to remember! My guy had ordered a gluten-free cake from a bakery and tried to write on it with frosting before delivering it to the restaurant. He messed it all up, and it got smushed in the process of driving it over. When he stopped by before picking me up, he asked the staff if there was some way they could make it look better. And as you can see from the photo, it was gorgeous! The attention to detail, the above and beyond service, the amazing food, the ambience... This place is the best in the area!

Yelp
First we did walk in without a reservation and we got sat down within 5 minutes thankfully! Super nice people, and the ambiance was great! I love how it's not super lit up inside, food was great and the drinks were good! Definitely will be going back again to try something else!

Yelp
WE GOT ROBBED!! They charged us for a totally different amount of what we paid. We had reservation for Saturday 01/11/2025 at 630pm. It's our first time dining here. We were excited and anxious to see what the fuss was about as this is one of Modesto finer restaurant. We arrived on time and ordered the calamari, yellowfin tuna, bread service and the Bone in rib eye to share. We immediately sat down and ordered the two apps and our drinks. About 5-10 mins later we ordered the ribeye. Was asked if we have any other engagements since it will take a bit longer to cook since it was a 50oz bone in steak. We were ok with that. Our apps came out within 15-20 mins. We finished it and waited about another 20 mins so we ordered the bread and butter. It was for 4 rolls and butter that cost $12. So about 7:20 pm we asked our waitress how's our steak doing and she went to check and she came back and said the chef just took if off the heat and letting it sit, maybe 15 more mins she said. Anyhow our steak came out and had some pieces and packed the rest to go. Everything at this time was great beside the wait for our steak. It was about 1.5 to get our steak. So the bill came and it was a total of $385 with tax and tip we included the TIP. We paid and left. The food was good but it was a bit pricey. But was expected. So this morning, Tuesday 01/14/2025 I checked my account and the charged was $445.XX. It was a $60 overcharged. It was not a pending charge. It was posted. SO THE WAITRESS took it to herself to charge our card a totally different amount. I AM SHOCK this happened. They stole from us. This has to be illegal. Will be calling when the open today.

Yelp
My absolute favorite restaurant in the area, my wife and I like to come to Dewz for dinner every now and then and we recently spent our 10 year wedding anniversary there for dinner and it was amazing as always. If you have not been it's definitely a MUST TRY! It's on the pricey side, but the food and drinks are all good, I've never had anything I didn't like. AMAZING PASTAS AND STEAKS!

Yelp
Service was good, food was fair, my steak and mashed potatoes came out cool. The waitress was fantastic and attempted to make it right. But for the money it wouldn't be high on my lists. Cute space.

Yelp
Came to the Dews for my girlfriend's Birthday. Real nice staff. Romantically peaceful and great portions for the price. I truly do respect good business and that's what to expect from Dews. The food was good. And met expectations. I count the days of my return.

Yelp
I have visited and been a patron of Dewz many times over the years, as have many of my friends and family. I am shocked at the experience some friends have had this month (see the review by Kari F.) They were accused of stealing silverware/knife rests. I can assure you that this group of people did not and would not seal anything. Truly Absurd. All of them are successful business owners and leaders in their respective communities. To be accused of stealing utensil holders is beyond riduclous. When they were told to return them, they assured the staff and manager they had not stolen anything, much less 4 knife rests and assured them this was not the case; the manager insisted they had. The party of 6 then offered to empty their pockets (one person did) and open their handbags to show nothing was taken (which in my opinion, they should not have even offered) - the manager then refused their efforts to demonstrate their innocence. The manager decided then to double down on the accusation and insist they had stolen the knife rests. Wow. I have no words. This is no way to run a business or treat customers in a "fine dining" restaurant. Unbelievable and shocking. I suppose if the manager was so certain, he should have simply called the police. Interesting he didn't. I know one thing, it will cost Dewz more money in lost business than it would cost to replace what you think was taken - which again, I can promise you these business leaders are not thieves and did not take your silly knife rest. I cannot express how absurd the accusation is or how poorly Dewz has addressed this. I am further shocked the manager felt it necessary to complain about the group not leaving a tip... Are you kidding? You wrongly accused your customers of stealing and then demanded you were right and justified in doing so. It seems to me, that you are likely the wrong person for the manager position. Knowing the party well, I am sure the bill they paid was at least somewhere between $400 and $600... so yep, no tip when your waitstaff and manager accuse your patrons of stealing. I am curious, any chance a minimum wage employee picked them up either by accident or on purpose? Could they have been picked up with dishes and silverware throughout the night? The answer of course is yes, it is possible something else happened to your silly silverware holders. I know after hearing this I will not be returning to Dewz anytime soon. Hopefully, the owners recognize the management deficiencies and handle them accordingly. Wow. I hope if you choose to visit Dewz you are not accused of stealing; apparently, they have knife rests that are irresistible and made of precious metals that even the most financially secure can't help but take one home. Ridiculous!

Yelp
Get the Prime Rib. Ask for Scott. The setting is romantic and elegant. So glad that Modesto has a place so classy.

Yelp
WOW! Went here for the first time for my birthday dinner last night. A table of 6. The mixologist at the bar was incredible. Drinks were phenomenal. The service was impeccable. Our waiter answered all questions, he even took the time to show us the different cuts of beef before they were cooked. You have to try the Brie appetizer. Phenomenal. EVERYTHING we ordered was impeccable. The Australian Wagyu was delicious. The chef cooked everything to perfection! I love how they did not rush you and let you take your time! Truly a hidden gem in Modesto!

Yelp
I brought my daughters in for their first fine dining experience. It was amazing. The service was wonderful. The food was amazing. The atmosphere was phenomenal. I will surely bring my daughters in again for a good tasting experience. Compliments to the waiting staff, the chefs, and the owners for creating an amazing experience.

Yelp
Such a great steak restaurant, all the food we've tried is amazing. The wagyu steak very tasty! Ambiance, drinks and service is very good! I highly recommend you try it!

Yelp
Great service, great drinks and definitely worth driving from Turlock for a steak. We came on a Wednesday night and it was quiet which was surprising for how good the food was. We're pretty tired of Turlocks food scene so this was a nice change. Service was friendly and knowledgeable. Ambiance was great for a date night.

Yelp
I am not normally a huge calamari fan. However, I didn't realize there was a difference between shorttail and longtail. Most restauarants serve the shorttail version. Dewz now has longtail, and oh my goodness...what a difference. So light, not rubbery or chewy. Sounds strange to say, almost melts in your mouth about calamari, but this version does. Delish.

Jaylene N.

Yelp
Amazing food and wonderful service Will definitely be going again!! The pork belly was my favorite they're so addicting!!

Yelp
Once again, dinner at Dewz was exquisite! I've been dining at Dewz for several years and never been disappointed. Yesterday's dinner and wine pairing event with DAOU vineyards was not the exception. The set up allowed with ease to meet great people. The food and wine paring were exceptional. Specially. the lobster tail Frog Hollow peach gastrique fennel foam dish which was paired with a 2021 Bodyguard Chardonnay. I definitely recommend dining and wine-dinner events at Dewz.

Yelp
My wife a friend of hers and I went to dewz several months ago and had an AMAZING experience. The complete opposite was the case for our last visit. We went this past weekend, My wife and I got their early thinking we would have a drink and an appetizer while we waited for our table. On our arrival, the bar area was completely filled with dirty plates and glasses So rather than sit at the bar, we grabbed a small table in the bar area, where we were completely ignored for 25 minutes. The finally cleaned the bar so we sat down and ordered a drink. Thinking that our table would be ready soon, we didn't order anything to eat. Our table was ready near our reservation time and we were led to our seats where we waited probably close to 15 maybe 20 minutes for them to order our appetizers and another drinks. After ordering our drinks we waited close to another 15 minutes for them to arrive. We ordered the bone in rib-eye, which we were told would take some time to prepare, we were okay with that. It was probably 45 minutes when our meal finally arrived, the bone in ribeye, which they charge, I believe 245.00 for was ranged from rare to literally raw. Our reservation time was 8:15 it was close to 10pm by time we finally got our food, and it was raw (we ordered it medium) Now, in their defense, the server offered to take it back and have it cooked up, but by this time we were frustrated and aggravated and wanted to leave. Again, to their credit, the did reduce our for part off the cost of the steak but our night was ruined. Like most people we work a lot of long hours and we were really excited about having a fun date night at a restaurant we had an amazing experience at just a few months about. Instead, we had slow service, and raw food. I know they were busy, but that's no excuse for poor service. I don't think we will go back

Yelp
Dewz is without a doubt the best and I would consider it the only real fine dining restaurant in the Modesto area. My wife and I go to Dewz because it is always consistent, impressive, and inspiring. I cook for a living and have worked in almost every upscale restaurant in the area, including some time working at Dewz . The food is expensive for good reason. They order very high quality ingredients and if it is not up to par Chef Daniel will send it back. Everything at Dewz is made from scratch and it's a lot of work and a process to make everything there. Chef Daniel is the youngest chef I have ever worked under but he's one of the best. He is intelligent, talented, has high standards, and truly cares about what he does. We just ate there again tonight for our anniversary and it was awesome. All the staff are badass and fun, thank you Will, the food was excellent, and it was a really great time. You should check it out. Strawberry brie, bread service, NY steak, flourless choc cake!

Yelp
Visited this restaurant on 7/24/24. Every dish was delicious and the service was excellent. The Australian wagyu was fabulous. More than five stars for our group!

Yelp
I've visited this establishment a few times, but unfortunately... the last visit was not pleasant. Ordered the Brie starter--- tasted a tad different, but husband enjoyed it. Meal: filet mignon... it was good but this was the first time trying it with the sauce. It was way too salty, but I managed to move it aside and enjoy the delicious potatoes. Husbands dinner was NY steak and he enjoyed it. I got home and an hour later, I got extremely sick.well... that was a waste of a $200 dinner!

Yelp
Went here with my girls for dinner. Pasta was delicious- we all ordered a different pasta dish so we can share. The meats were tender and the sauces were flavorful.

Yelp
The food, service and atmosphere at Dews is perfect. I did a dinner program last night for my company we had extra people attend and the staff adjusted the seating no problem made everyone feel welcome and still managed to produce a wonderful meal. Thank you again Dews

Yelp
Thank you Jeremiah! I will give the new owners of Dews the benefit of the doubt and change my one-star rating to four-stars--pending a possible return to Dews. (I do NOT want to negatively affect your entire year of 2024, based on my prior experience before the change of ownership.) I do hope this helps!

Yelp
Was really happy to explore eating here again.. been a while 2 yrs prior. Service was pretty good the offerings of options in my opinion were not to good Steak pieces not medallions w/wide pasta.. ok not bad And my salmon not cooked quite enough for a filet. Everything was just ok It was nice to sit by the window vs inside dinning area which feels like a cafeteria...something abt the layout . It will be a bit before spending that much money again too soon.

Yelp
What can I say about Dewz? The whole experience this evening was amazing, it was the perfect place to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Their smoked old fashioned is hands down the best old fashioned I have ever imbibed. My wife loved the Jamaican Unicorn. The lobster bisque was superb. We shared a 28oz bone in rib-eye which was cooked to perfection. The loaded fries were unbelievable. The potato purée was fabulous. The sautéed mushrooms were stupendous. To top it all of we had the crème brûlée and it was to die for. I can't say that we have ever had a better meal in Modesto.

Yelp
I have never been so insulted in my life. After having dinner and before dropping off the check the server asked us, "I have to politely ask for the utensil rest back". She accused our group of stealing a utensil rest. We asked to speak to the manager and he was no help and insinuated that we had taken one. I'm sorry but who on earth needs to steal a utensil rest. I will never go back or recommend this restaurant. It is so sad that after being in business this long that this is what the restaurant has come to.
