"A smash burger is supposed to be on the flat side, easy to fit in your mouth, right? Well this Nigerian nightclubby restaurant right in Times Square has its own riff on a smash burger." - Robert Sietsema

This. Was. Amazing!! Really threw me back. I literally inhaled my food - the portions were huge and the flavors were incredible. Whoever at the truck was also very kind and you can tell they put a lot of work and care into this food. Can’t wait to come back to NYC just so I can have this

I’ve been patronizing this food truck for years, and I wanted to be sure I liked their dishes before making a decision, and I’m glad to say this food truck has really improved over the year, based on my consistent orders. I have tried most of the dishes they serve, my favorites are the Ilasepo, the honey beans with corn and dodo ( heaven in a plate) the spicy snails, which has just the right amount of spice (nothing over the top) and the goat meat peppersoup which is the perfect hangover remedy or even the perfect acquaintance for a cold day. The meat is so tender. The potions are good and they’re always well packaged, to avoid spills. I would be mad if that happened because I do not play with my Naija food. Every now and then they also send a freebie to thank me for my consistent patronage, which I truly appreciate. When I feel homesick, (which is a lot of times these days), DF Nigerian food truck really helps me cure that. Definitely my go-to for authentic Nigerian meals. I hope they stay as consistent, and if that truly is the case, God help my pocket

One of the best Nigerian restaurants I have been to, I live in Rhode Island when I’m craving Nigerian dishes I will drive out to Nyc wish they open a spot out here , I usually don’t kno what to order so I will get couple of different selections everything is great on the Menu…. Definitely worth the drive , I would recommend every one who has not tried Nigerian food that lives in the New York area to definitely give it a try you will not be disappointed!!!!

Drove up from DC for a weekend in NYC and made this our first stop even before checking into the hotel. We got a ton of stuff. SO WORTH IT!!! Best Nigerian food I’ve ever had. The Ewa Agoyin IS AMAZING!! Rich and smokey. I could have stoped there!! The Jollof rice was equally good. Crocker fish was delicious. Excellent Honey Beans. The guy who served us was a really nice guy. You have to go!!

5/18/24 I just read the owner’s reply to my review. I have a few follow up questions and comments 1. Why are you keeping Agege bread in the fridge? You clearly stated that you make everything fresh daily and sell off leftovers at a discount at the end of each day. Did I miss something? Was Agege bread excluded from the daily fresh items? 2. Putting the first question aside for a moment, if the bread was in the fridge and not the freezer, why heat it up in the microwave? What’s the point? 3. You assumed I, and perhaps others, wanted warm bread. Why didn’t you ask? You should always ask your customers first rather than assume. After all, the Agege bread was not listed as warm bread on your menu, so I had no such expectation. By the way, warming bread in the microwave should be avoided for obvious reasons. When it’s necessary, there are precautionary steps to take to prevent overheating. Regarding your claim of making everything fresh daily, it doesn’t add up for me, but I understand why you say it's your practice. If you truly do this, kudos to you. However, I have to say the jollof rice I bought that day was bland and did not taste fresh at all. I could go on, but there’s no point in dissecting your comments further. I have already addressed the key points. Since there are some good reviews online, I am willing to reconsider my opinion about your services. The good reviews suggests that some customers have had better experiences. It makes me wonder if the quality of your food varies from one day to the next or if it is due to individual preferences. I should also mention the possibility of bot reviews. One thing I know for sure is that when jollof rice is delicious, it’s undeniable. Even your competitors can’t deny it. That, I can guarantee. Thanks, but no thanks for offering a refund. I wrote the review because it was hard for me to believe that I bought food from a Nigerian food truck, parked in front of the Nigerian embassy in the middle of Manhattan, NYC, and it was so bad. It was a hard pill for me to swallow. Please take this as constructive criticism. There is no ill will here. I don’t own a restaurant and I don’t live in New York City, so I am not a competitor. The purpose of the review was to make you aware of these issues. I hope this honest feedback will encourage you to revisit your processes. Work on improving the quality of your food and the overall customer experience. Please don’t compromise on the quality of your food. As a paying customer, I as well as others like me, deserve value for our money. Thank you. initial review moved here 👇🏾 My experience at the DF food truck was disappointing to say the least. I bought goat meat stew, Jollof rice, efo riro and agege bread. Only the goat meat stew was tolerable. Everything else was horrible. The efo riro was not fully cooked. The vegetables (spinach) was crunchy to the bite. It was plain without ‘emi’ in it, boring and tasteless. Next Jollof rice omg! on a scale of 1-10, it was 0/10. Tasteless, flavorless overcooked rice. Horrible to say the least. The worst of it all was the agege bread. They offer full loaf or half loaf. I ordered full loaf but I was given half loaf without any explanation. I was not aware of the switch until I got home. As if that wasn’t bad enough, please be aware, they keep most of their food in the freezer including bread so they are not freshly made. The frozen bread was defrosted in the microwave. Can anyone believe it? Well this is not a joke because it happened to me. By the time I got home, the bread was as hard as stone. I paid over $60 that day and gave a big tip but the food that not edible except the goat meat which I ended up eating by itself. The rest went in the trash. I can’t believe this truck is still open. How is it possible? The worst Nigerian food I ever bought.

At the RCCG workers and ministers conference, I had an awesome experience with my jollof rice and assorted meat. GREAT JOB, DF NIGERIA

Authentic and delicious! We came from out of town to the consulate and enjoyed fried rice, jollof rice, goat and chicken to close out the afternoon. Well worth it

I’ve been orders from DF for years now and decided to try their other food options. I ordered online 2 hrs ahead of my pick up time. Got there and the guy told me the food was not ready yet, had to wait an extra 15mins in the COLD only to hear that scotch egg was not available and I would receive a refund. Never received a REFUND till this day and that was about a month ago. Also the “vegan egusi” I ordered was HORRIBLE. It was filled with oil and had no flavors whatsoever. If you’re looking to try this place, look somewhere else. The food and customer service was trash

Yelp
I can't say enough good things about DF (or Divine Foods) Nigerian. This food truck / catering operation is run by conscientious, kind, and hard-working folks. It serves legitimately delicious food. I have only had Nigerian food a handful of times, so I can't speak to authenticity -- but the finger foods and small bites we ordered for an event were delicious to a range of people, comforting by my standards, and an absolute hit. * Moin moin (a savory, steamed fritter / ball made from peeled black-eyed peas, peppers, onions, and in this case fish and hardboiled egg) -- I loved the creamy texture of the fritters, which reminded me of the masa in tamales Oaxaqueños. It was fluffy and surprisingly light, creamy -- just wonderful. * Meat pies -- I want to research the origins of these pies. They reminded me so much of Thai-style curry puffs -- especially the filling -- or Jamaican patties. DF's crust was buttery and fragrant, and the pies came generously filled with ground beef sauteed in the yellow, turmeric-heavy "curry powder" mix that's commonly found in Hong Kong, Japan, Thailand, and also Jamaica. * Mossa aganyin (fried plantain fritters) -- These fritters were a little bit tough and chewy, possibly because they were not fresh out of the fryer or had been refried. But we enjoyed the combination of very lightly sweet plantain and lightly spicy hot peppers. * Puff-Puff (fried dough, Nigerian "beignets") -- These street food staples were, like the mossa aganyin, a little tough and chewy, but I can certainly understand their appeal. They're filling, just a touch sweet, and would taste wonderful fresh from the fryer while walking home from a long day of work or school, especially with some powdered sugar sprinkled over top. We had a bit of a snafu with the delivery as the Uber Eats driver dropped off our food at the wrong address (evidently without pin number confirmation) and when we ran over to the incorrect address, the building staff there had no recollection of seeing a delivery. The honorable Sodipo A. (possibly an owner? possibly not? https://dfnigeriafoodtruck.com/about/#:~:text=Hi%2C%20I'm%20Godshelter%2C,what%20I%20love%20to%20do.) made it right, sending a whole new order to us. It came too late for our event, but we had something of an after party and everything worked out in the end. Just a note that the moin moin and mossa aganyin read as spicy for some. Other colleagues (including me) barely registered the spice and very much enjoyed the heat that was there. Please order according to your own tastes! I'm very grateful to Sodipo and this small business for putting the deliciousness and goodness that they do into this world. I'll be walking over to the food truck again to try more. (In particular, I have my sights on the the stewed okra, spinach, and bitter greens -- all of it naturally vegan!)

Yelp
I tried DF Nigerian Food Truck at Vegandale Festival and I was glad they came! They offered something unique that was different from the other vendors / food trucks. I liked that none of the dishes was spicy. We got the box full of everything they had on offer that day: Jollof Rice, Fufu, Egusi, Efo Riro (spinach stew), Plantain, Puff Puff. The jollof rice was flavourful. The Egusi and Efo Riro were nice and soft. The fufu and plantain were nice carb additions to fill you up. The Puff Puff were just fried dough balls. Good and filling meal overall.

Esther L.

Yelp
I used to order from here in college a little over 6 years ago and they had more options. Ordered snails too and was told they were out of it which stinks. Jollof came nice and warm. Smoky, big pieces of chicken. This is the small box but realistically you could portion it out of two meals. I continue to enjoy and think fondly of this establishment but wish they had more options like fried rice and things they used to have. I understand the constraints of a food truck and what folks might order so it's not a big problem for me.

Tara D.

Yelp
I really wanted to like it! We got the jollof chicken & rice box and the chicken was DRY -- I'm talking chicken jerky. We tried our best to eat around it, but that left us with little chicken thigh left. The flavor was really good though, if you like a hearty tomato based dish w/ a bit of a spicy kick and Smokey flavor this is a great choice. However, I just couldn't get over how dry the chicken thighs were, but I am intrigued and I thought the flavors are there so I will definitely keep trying Nigerian food!

Angry Y.

Yelp
I ordered a pick up order using an app. When I got there, there was nothing but Nigerian embassy. It will take me 15 days for a refund. There was someone with similar situation too. She said when she placed a pick up order on a weekday, they canceled her order. Is this a new scam?

Sandy J.

Yelp
The jollof rice was good. I loved the sauciness of it The chicken however that came with it was dry and the bones were troublesome. I would only order jollof rice if I come back

Chris S.

Yelp
I didn't wait long for my food after ordering. My only complaint is that this place is expensive. Paid $25 for my meal. I'll be honest, I haven't had a lot of jollof rice. I thought this one was good. There wasn't any meat or veggies mixed in. It was welled seasoned and had some spiciness to it. The stew beef was good but I wish I had more. I will say I had big pieces though. The fatty part was delicious while the other parts were dry. I wish there was more stew in it. The plantains were dry too but good. All in all, I'll probably be back here at some point. It was good even if it was expensive.

Yelp
DF never fails to deliver delicious and authentic Naija food. I enjoy stopping at the truck in NYC or driving to Atlantic Ave to buy from the shop when I am away from the kitchen and ingredients to make my meals.

Simon M.

Yelp
This truck needs recognition. It is a unique concept in NY where basically everyone says to eat pizza, brunch, ramen etc. the Nigerian food you can get here is unique, tasty and delivered with a smile. The worker was so friendly and explained everything since it was all so new to me. He was so much fun, thank you! The truck looks cool too and ordering can be done on the app to make things easier. I ordered the Egusi with goat and pounded yam, and the Jollof rice with chicken. Starting with the Jollof - it was $12 for a small but it was PACKED. You get the rice and a thigh of chicken. The rice was cooked well (a tiny bit over) but was a flavour sensation. It was rich with tomato and spices. You can eat a bucket of the stuff. The chicken was tender and moist. It was spicy and went well with the rice. The Egusi was completely novel to me. It is a sauce made with ground melon seeds, vegetables and oil. You eat this with your hands. You use the pounded yam as a delivery mechanism for the sauce. The yam itself tasted of unseasoned mash potato. When combined with the egusi, just wow. The melon seeds gave the sauce a nutty and slightly bitter flavour with some grittiness that added a new texture. Thee vegetables were various greens and added freshness. The goat was so tender and it fell of the bone. I also ate the bone marrow which was super rich. A genuine delight worthy of a line round the block. Get it!

Gery R.

Yelp
It's difficult to find good Nigerian food. The long walk was well worth it. Great goat egusi and fantastic fufu.

Kendra E.

Yelp
I'm back again to review this place after a long time, and giving them another chance or should I say more chances, and I'm glad to say this food truck has really improved over the year, based on my consistent orders. The potions are good and they're always well packaged, to avoid spills. I would be mad if that happened because I do not play with my Naija food. When I feel homesick, (which is a lot of times these days), DF Nigerian food truck really helps me cure that. Definitely my go-to for authentic Nigerian meals. I hope they stay consistent, God help my pocket.

Yelp
I really wanted to like it. But the rice which I expected to be spicy that's what the Jollof rice I've had tasted like. But to my disappointment it was not only NOT spicy but all tasted burnt. I also got sweet plantains which was okay but tasted old. I had callaloo which is spinach. It was okay. I don't understand how they market it on a menu as all vegan and hardly has anything vegan. It's a truck with mainly meat dishes. I guess that's a way for them to pull the non meat eating people. It was not a good eating experience for me. Unfortunately I can not recommend this franchised company.

Leah C.

Yelp
I've been wanting to try this truck forever but was never in the area when the truck was around. Today was the day and I was surprised to find out that my total for jollof rice and chicken was $18. This is steep even for NYC but I'm willing to pay for quality, instead I got the dryest inedible chicken I've ever had in my life along with a couple of bone dry plantains. The jollof is flavorful and nicely spiced, I haven't had it enough times to speak to the authenticity but it was the only part of the dish that tasted good. I hate wasting food and will usually finish meals that are a 4/10 or better just so that I'm not being wasteful, but this hard dry overcooked chicken should've been thrown away before it was served to me.

Michelle X.

Yelp
Great food and service. The server/owner has amazing patience for dealing with being asked a lot of questions. Flavorful food. Cannot wait to try more.

Kathleen S.

Yelp
Having read about this food truck in the NYT a while back, I was quite keen on trying it. My husband and I enjoyed our meal of jollof rice with goat meat and plantains. Though somewhat greasy, the jollof rice was wonderfully seasoned and quite spicy, which really hit the spot for him. The goat meat could have been more tender, but otherwise flavorful. Unfortunately the plantains may not have been very ripe since they were neither soft nor particularly sweet. As such, they didn't help to balance the spiciness of the rice and meat very well. The star of the meal was assuredly the rice. Nevertheless, we quite enjoyed our meal and the service was quick and friendly.

Calvin Leila Y.

Yelp
Hapana. Not friendly. Not coherent. Food avg to say the least. Will not recommend or go back.

Madeleine B.

Yelp
I got the jollof rice with stewed goat meat and it was awesome. I don't usually like goat, but this was super tender and soaked in a delicious hot red sauce. They have a pretty extensive menu for a food truck, too, with a ton of other delicious sounding stuff.

Misha T.

Yelp
I thought it was really solid. The portions are much larger than any nigerian place in Northern California will do. The jollof rice was nice and smoky but the grains were a little mushy. I don't really mind, but according to my wife they should be firmer. I got goat stew on top which was pretty tasty and they give you quite a bit of meat. The egusi tasted different in some way I can't really define but not in a bad way.

Pao L.

Yelp
Food is great and very authentic. I have never gotten sick from eating here. Service has improved compared to few years ago. They now have most items and are offering a more expanded menu. It's a truck so you have to take your food to go.

Shav C.

Yelp
Quick service & delicious food! I asked for a vegetarian option and got the jollof with plantains, it's packed with flavor and the portion size is really big! I will happily return to this spot!

Mei L.

Yelp
I tried DF Nigerian food truck in a food festival before. I was excited to pass by and see them. There was only 2 people in front of me and the order was fast. I ordered Efo Elegusi Stewed fish with pounded yam. It was a red vegetable sauce spinach stew with 3 pieces of fish. The fish stew was delicious and was season well. I tried a Nigerian restaurant in Long Island and I believe this is very authentic Nigerian food. Price was a little pricey for food truck, but I haven't seen any Nigerian food truck. Their location can be a little far if you are not near this area. They location is 2nd Avenue and 45th Street or 44th street. You can call them and preorder your food before picking it up. I highly recommend to try their food.

Diamond Leona M.

Yelp
This food is delicious! I finally made my way here, and it was worth it! They offer bitter leaf stew which is impossible to get in Manhattan, and the beef portion was generous. The fufu was very good and the Egusi dish was delicious and fresh. Food is authentic, so it may be spicy for some. I will be coming back again and again!!!! There is also a restaurant by the same company in Brooklyn which Im sure is just as delicious.

Emmanuel O.

Yelp
Jellof rice was fresh. I was sad they were out of fish stew. Goat meat stew made up for it. I'll be back.

Julianne A.

Yelp
This place has improved a lot! My office both loves and hates to order from here. We love the food. It's the only Nigerian place in the city. But they always get our order wrong and arrive late too. Surprisingly, today our order was 100% correct and only 30min late! Not only that, they packed our lunches in individual bags so it was easy to hand out. Definitely happy with their operational improvements. I've tried lots of things here. I recommend getting the stewed goat meat over the chicken, fish or assorted meat. It's meatier, easier to eat and less bones to deal with. If you're interested in cartilage and fat pieces, get the assorted meat - you'll be very happy. The jollof rice, efo elegusi and efo riro are all delicious!

Aminata D.

Yelp
I ordered pounded yam/fish/okra, very disappointed this is a ripped because $18 is too much money for fish to be chewy like rubber and dry like dehydrated beef. The okra was tablets. I had also ask for some red stew but I only got a dash. The food is reheated in the microwave in plastic that is a health concern to me.

Brittany N.

Yelp
They tried to scam me and my friend! On the sign it says $15 for the stews and when I ordered, they charged me around $70! My friend caught it and asked what was going on, they said that the $15 is the "sampler size". THERE IS NO SMALLER SIZE. We insisted on getting the $15 plates and that shit was a full size meal. it wasn't even good! the egusi & ogbono honestly tasted off. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS.

Michelle A.

Yelp
The customer service is HORRIBLE! I ordered jollof rice with chicken from this food truck during the Nigerian Independence Day Parade , and waited in line for over 20 minutes just to receive the below (see picture). The quantity, flavor and chicken was unfortunately below average--I myself am African (Ghanaian to be exact) and will never support this truck again. The chicken had no flesh to it, while the rice flavor tasted burnt. The lady that took my order was VERY rude, and when I asked her why she was overcharging me for this meal (the menu pamphlet stated $15, but she charged me $16) she didnt have a valid answer as to why she was charging me that amount. I most definitely will not be purchasing from this food truck again.

J O.

Yelp
I felt like I discovered gold when I found this food truck. Living in Chelsea, I never thought I would be able to find great tasting, quality Nigerian food. I've ordered from this truck several times and it's always so good. I've ordered the yam porridge and ewa with plantains and it is as delicious as I remember having it growing up and just as spicy. Not American spicy but some real Nigerian Yoruba spicy. Once, the delivery service gave me the wrong order and when I called the truck - the man that answered the phone, who I think is the owner was very apologetic and made sure another order was sent out to me. On another instance when the delivery service driver cancelled my order, he also made sure I got my food. I've never received that level of customer service before. I'll keep ordering from this truck and referring him to anyone that wants authentic, delicious Nigerian food!

Dayo E.

Yelp
Can you give a place 10 stars out of 5. This food truck is the best thing in Nigerian food in NY hands down. I always find a reason to be at that part of town just so I can make a stop. And I can never settle on just one thing to buy. I end up spending over $50 and leave with a big bag full of amazing sumptuousness. Everything I've had from here is amazing. From the rice to the meats to the swallow and soups. The pastries are also amazing as well. I love this place and the lady that owns it is the nicest woman ever. Very motherly and caring. I go so often she remembers me now and always knows I'm about to order a lot. Best thing ever! Love it!

Ornella O.

Yelp
Expensive and poor quality food. I paid 15 dollars for literally 10 small pieces of suya with more seasoning and onions than the actual meat. Also meat was poor quality. Would not recommend.

Dewan A.

Yelp
Excellent. 1) I am so glad this Nigerian food truck is available in the area. 2) I will recommend in getting the suya (beef flanks) and jollof rice. 3) Price is very affordable. Plus, probably the best Nigerian food I ever had.

Ara A.

Yelp
So I had high hopes for this place but I was little disappointed especially with the price point of their dishes. The amala was hard around the edges, the efo elgusi was bland. Nigerian food is never meant to be bland. The Suya was tasty but it was a tiny amount. Good start but capable of much more.

Ramon L.

Yelp
Nigerian food is hard to find! I live in LA, but the closest Nigerian restaurant to me out there is still an hour drive away. I got word of a good Nigerian food truck in NYC, so I went to try DF Nigerian. If you have a hard time finding it, it's nicely located right in front of the Nigerian consulate. There were few options that sounded appealing and I went with the jollof rice with chicken and goat. The jollof rice was great and nicely seasoned. The chicken and the goat were both tasty as well, but were not as tender as I hoped for and was a tad chewy. On top of the whole meal was a spicy salsa that added a good punch. I did enjoy my meal and it hit the spot. However $12 seemed pricey for the portions, leaving me expecting more with my meal.

Scott S.

Yelp
For those of you have a bit of adventure in you when it comes to food I implore you to visit this truck. The prices are somewhat higher than the typical food truck but worth it. I usually get the #1 Jollof rice with either goat or beef. The portion size is enough for two but admittedly I eat the whole damn thing. $14 for a platter that weighs a lot. If you like it spicy they will hook you up. Nice hard working people on Second Avenue a d 44th every day. So give it a try you won't be disappointed.

Andrew C.

Yelp
On a normal day, this place has a huge line of people on the sidewalk waiting to order and even longer line with people waiting to pick up their order... so I've always wanted to check it out Finally did today and wow, I was super disappointed... firstly, they "ran out of special meals" (but it was barely 1 PM, still early in lunch rush). Secondly, prices were on average $14+ for rice and meat (goat or chicken or fish) and for this price, I would expect a huge portion of meat (compared to $6-7 halal cart platter). Thirdly, I waited over 10 minutes for my order (even though there were only 3-4 other people waiting). Finally, when I did receive my order, it was thankfully still hot and smelled delicious thru the wrapping. Once opened, I realized it was such a ripoff... the chicken had bones in it, plus there were only THREE SMALL PIECES!!!! The spices and sauces that was sprinkled on the platter actually tasted great, but the limited meat and too much rice ruined it. For $14 (plus tax), I could get 2+ pounds of meat and rice from the grocery store... or two platters from any other food truck!

Rosemae A.

Yelp
The service is excellent and the food is great. There are vegan options too. I enjoyed the Efo Riro spinach with Jollof rice. The chef is kind and also gave me some fufu to try. It was delicious.

Jacqueline G.

Yelp
This food was incredibly disappointing. I paid 17 dollars for jollof rice and chicken. The chicken was almost all bones with minimal meat. Now I'm still hungry and spent way too much money on lunch. I don't recommend this place at all. It's a huge rip off.

Chidinma O.

Yelp
Very bad customer service. The lady that attended to my friend and I had zero personality. However, she became jovial when a man dressed in suit walked up to the truck. Guess her good customer service is only for those who appear to be well dressed. So much for trying to patronize your own people. Furthermore, they were out of the things we wanted to order( which is no problem). Good Suya though

Mio M.

Yelp
OYA now ... I am leaving this review even before I reach this spot !! Man I am excited to try this food !! It's been too long oh men !!!!! I know for a fact it will be slapping !! I have seen the pictures and that's the only judgment I need !!

Toyin D.

Yelp
Stopped at this truck, which is directly parked in front of the Nigerian consulate. I tried the suya (seasoned beef with onions), and my goodness, it was spiced to perfection - well-seasoned, and actually spicy! It instantly transported me back to Nigeria. Highly recommend that if you're ever in the area, give it try! The owners of the truck were very friendly and finished orders very quickly as well. Cash only!

Diyang Y.

Yelp
Owner sent me a very rude response, after my not outstanding review previously. I would love to come back here and get proven wrong on the quality, but unfortunately, it is what it what it is

Dan K.

Yelp
The food was okay. Spicy. Might not be loved by everyone. Gave me goat when I asked for chicken. Might come back. May be not.

Chet A.

Yelp
I stumbled upon this heavenly truck when she first started some time back. Parked right outside the Nigerian Consulate on 2nd and 44th, this food truck is fantastic! The lady who runs is ALWAYS has a smile on her face as she pleasantly greets all her customers. I travel to NYC every month for work and go to her food truck religiously for lunch. And she remembers me each time! Knows my order and always recommends any dish of the day that might be exceptionally delicious that day. And she's never wrong. It is simply excellent Nigerian food! I look forward to eating from this truck every month. I have even bought food, wrapped it up and flew back to LA with it so I could enjoy it at home with my family. If you enjoy Nigerian food or are just looking for something new and delicious for lunch or an early dinner, try and make it to this food truck. You will be happy you did!

Yelp
The woman Messolah (spelling?) was very respectful and helpful with my vegan diet. I was able to get the delicious Nigerian "Puff Puff", "Jollof Rice" (of course ), "Fried Plantain" (a.k.a. Madurai's/Dodo), and some cooked black eyed beans as well. The jollof rice was properly and generously seasoned (she added some of the tomato sauce to it) and the puff was crispy yet not oily which is a nice change. It was so delicious and filling, I couldn't even finish. I am so SO happy to FINALLY find some Nigerian/West African food in Manhattan. I'm usually around this area so don't have to travel too far. Will definitely be coming next time I'm craving some authentic African food. 5/5

Yelp
Delivery was quick. I never had this cuisine before. I ordered the spinach stew with goat and it was delicious. I will order again.

Yelp
I ordered Okra Soup, Pounded Yam, & Puff-Puff on my lunch break. I absolutely love Nigerian & West African cuisine. I have had Okra Soup before from other Nigerian restaurants, as well as home-made from other West African cultures. This time, I ordered it with Chicken. To my surprise, they gave me Chicken Legs & Thighs which I never had with Okra before. They also ran out of Puff-Puff and gave me a Meat Pie to compensate, which was not a complaint at all- Delicious. I will order again. Very accommodating& flavorful food!

Yelp
God bless this food truck. No seriously, everything here is fantastic. The eba and Ogbono is life-giving, the Moi Moi waters in your mouth, and the Jollof is so good it might actually bring you to tears. The Suya is so spicy it'll make you feel like you're getting it in the darkness on the streets of Lagos -- as all Suya should feel, to be honest. Hand downs, the best Nigerian food in the city. If you all ever want to turn into a full restaurant, I am ready to invest in this joint. Also, apparently they also deliver -- you can check Seamless. Which of course they don't deliver close to where I work which often makes me want to cry but is probably best for my waistline. Ha.

Yelp
It's unfortunate that they messed up because their food is actually good, but to serve someone only one piece of tiny goat meat is unacceptable and a rip-off. How can you give a paying customer one little goat meat when they paid it. I should've had my father unwrapped the foil and check his order before he came home to this. Beyond mad! Just lost loyal customers.

Yelp
Delicious every time. Delivery was also fast using Grub Hub. My favorites are the jollof rice and chicken and ewa agoyin. Their plantain is the only disappointment. strangely not great. Weirdly shaped and dark and tough.. otherwise, every meal is delicious.

Yelp
so glad I found this place since Buka in Brooklyn has been messing up big time. It will be definitely be my go to Nigerian Spot...the food was sooo good and and I can't wait till they open up a restaurant. I ordered snails, Jollof rice which was exquisite and elegusi was out of this world delicious. I really liked the way the goat meat was prepared and it reminded me so much of home. only complain is that I ordered goat and chicken with Jollof rice but I only got goat meat...which isn't a big deal to me. Also try to order 45mjns ahead of time, they will say it's ready in 20mins but that rarely happens. the suya wasn't as good as Bukas suya but still good. will be back definitely Whenever I'm in the city
