Authentic Nepali food in Manhattan, small restaurant with delicious food. Service is fast and will customize the food based on your taste. Friendly host

Great food, great service, and very affordable considering the portion sizes. Definitely try the Mo Mo and the buffalo options here. Highly recommend the thali too.

Great hole in the wall kind of spot that plays Bollywood-esque videos as you eat. The food trays come with a ton of variety (including puffed rice) and the momos are delicious. We also got this appetizer that tasted like crushed instant ramen with Indian spices.

Small Nepalese place on 124 Lexington Avenue? Let’s try it. Especially if it rains and on that Sunday it rained for 24 hours. I wanted to be more inside so I chose The Met, The Public Library and Grand Central as main points for that day and as the lunch drew near I walked for some distance and reached this place. Just like the other places it is not big and it is not something luxurious. A few tables inside, I left my umbrella hanging on a chair and charged my phone as I was eating and chose something a bit different this time and more expensive also. For my meal I chose Bhutan and vegetable Dhendo plus a cola. That took 27 USD out of my pocket and as I waiting for my meal I started talking more and more to somebody back home. As to the taste I must confess I loved the Bhutan (if I remember right goat intestines) both the taste and how spicy it was. In regards to the Dhendo I must say it was an epic fail for me. Maybe I didn’t know how to eat it or maybe it had a way of mixing them but I did not enjoy it at all. More than half of my plate stayed there. If I had to rate just the Bhutan I would give this place a 4/5 stars grade but since I also served some of the Dhendo…

Glad I came here never really had Nepalese food before! I tried out the traditional platter, which consists of many small dishes on a tray, and includes a selected meat entree. Not having had before rdendo (the other choices were rice or roti), I decided to give it a try and was pleasantly surprised by the subtle yet unique flavor of the grain based-staple and was a perfect complement to the flavor-rich small dishes on the tray. A hidden neighborhood gem!

this place is hands down the best nepali restaurant around. the food is amazing. the prices are very affordable and the atmosphere is very cozy. the food is authentic nepali unlike the usual nepali-indian mix.

Their vegetable momo, alu dum and Chana chatpate were great and I would come back to eat more. The vegetable chowmein was pretty good too. I would skip on the vegetable curry (pretty bland).

I had a great time at Dhaulagiri Kitchen. This is tiny resturant and located close to Metro. They had great authentic Nepali dishes right from Himalayan. Host was awesome and their dishes had perfect amount of spices. It was typical Nepali dishes after so long. I love to come back anytime in my future trip to New York. We visited twice on our five day trip. We hadJhol Momo, Steam Momo, Chawmin, and Chai Tea. All those dishes were tasty and delicious. Thank to all staffs who brought all those delicious dishes in New York.
