"For an iconic New York slice without the wait: Yes, you can go and stand in line at Midwood’s famous Di Fara Pizza for an hour and still won’t have your pie. And here’s the kicker: Dom DeMarco, now 82 years old, probably won’t even be there. Better to go to the outpost at Williamsburg’s North 3rd Street Market, and order the $5 plain cheese slice. Thereupon the same grana padano is grated not once, but twice, and the same bunch of fresh basil shorn on top of the slice right before serving. Slices and pies at the two locations are virtually the same." - Eater Staff

I heard that this pizzeria is one of the most famous in NYC, this is not the main location but their second one , they have no regard for quality. The most basic toppings like pepperoni they seemed to be out of . The crust was uneven and falling apart towards the middle and the end . I really prefer the $ 1 pizza from the two bros

By far one of the best New York's Pizza. With the first bite the perfect distribution of ingredients, and ratio of cheese and sauce can be perceived. Thin, crisp, juicy and tasteful!

I’ve had the pizza from the original location and this didn’t compare. Not completely disappointed but I’ll definitely make it a point to stick with the location in Midwood.

The Williamsburg location gives the DiFara brand a bad name. While the staff is quite friendly, the pizza is lackluster when compared to its original Avenue J locations greatness. Something is terribly wrong here. The pizza seems like it has been reheated over and over, sauce has no flavor. Staff again while friendly are very lazy when it comes to making the pizza. The pizza lacks the essential DiFara ingredients such as basil, olive oil, there is no jar of red peppers anywhere near. This is not the DiFara that Dom DeMarco, (may he RIP) envisioned and he would never approve of what is going on here. Please, Maggie or anybody reading this, with all due respect, please correct the situation over in Williamsburg. People in the neighborhood are mumbling words like "hype" and "overrated".

Final update, 2023: They reopened, but this is NOT Di Fara pizza. The original Di Fara had brown crispy delicious crust. This one has undercooked playdough l. The original Di Fara had zesty salty sauce. This one has ketchup. The original Di Fara had 4 or 5 different cheeses from Italy. This one has plastic mozzarella. Do not waste your money here. $35 for actual Di Fara pizza was high, but you were getting the best pizza in the world. Here, $35 for a pizza is a scam and an insult to the original Di Fara, RIP. Update, 2021: Is this place still open? Nobody ever picks up the phone. It's listed on some services such as Caviar, Slice, etc, but whenever I have tried to order, it either never comes, or it closes at 6pm. What's going on here? Original review, 2019: I tested this and the original location. The results are that they are both amazing, when fresh. However, beware of getting old pizza here. Best bet is to order a fresh pie.

My go to pizza delivery spot. They make delicious pies, with a well balanced crust, tasty tomato sauce and a perfect mix of mozzarella and Parmesan cheese - all topped off with some fresh basil. This is an outpost of one of NY most famous pizzerias. It may not achieve the perfection of the original location, but it’s damn good.

I’ve been dying to try DiFara’s for years, but never had the time to go all the way to the original location. So I was thrilled to hear they had opened a second location much closer to midtown. So when me and my fiancé planned our trip to the city this weekend, we decided to go right from JFK to the new location. We waited patiently for them to open with the promise of a fresh pie coming out of the oven. What happened next was like a bad dream. What was supposed to be a religious experience for a serious pizza lover turned out to be the equivalent of watching The Star Wars prequels. It was completely disappointing. The dough was “dry” and the crust was ROCK hard. I couldn’t believe it. It seriously pains me to write this review. I don’t know if I just got a bad pie or if this is what it’s normally like. I will say this pie came right out of the oven. Not sure what went wrong, but I left wondering how this place could justify its reputation. A sad day indeed!

Delicious, amazing beautiful pizza. They were not completely on it when they opened but time has proven that the team is learning how to attempt to mimic the genius wizardry of Dom, the OG of Difara. I love it and am a regular customer. Try the square with no toppings if u havent yet.
