The food I was served was absolutely impeccable at Di Stasio tonight.
The arancini balls were sublime, nice and warm but not too hot, as they often tend to be. The focaccia was delicious, the waitress very cleverly had it served alongside the soft, pillowy ricotta & spinach gnudi so I could sop up the burnt butter sauce. I wasn’t a huge fan of the cream served with the focaccia, it was far too rich but the butter sauce was amazing so I didn’t mind at all. The main meal, pasta bolognaise, was delicious and the ZABAGLIONE CUSTARD was quite simply incredible.
My only issue with my visit to this innovative and conceptual restaurant was the pricing. The entree serve size of the pasta was $43, and while I was not left hungry afterwards *at all* I do feel the pricing for this and the gnudi was a bit crazy given how little was served.
Beyond this, a delicious dinner and I look forward to visiting again!
PS Thank you to the lovely lady who was my waitress, you gave some excellent recommendations :)
